Bingo Bits

Good morning, today I am going to share the final card for the Christmas Card Class. This card uses the Jolly Bingo Bits Stamp Set and the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. It also uses an assortment of punches including the 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/8 Square Punches as well as the Decorative Label Punch. The colors are Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Whisper White and Crumb Cake. We used the Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the bell, poinseitta and the ornament. I just realized that my poinseitta is green not sure why I did it that way. I think I will change that on this card. Sorry I guess I wasn't thinking when I made the card. The Crumb Cake has texture added with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. This card is pretty simple to make and with the help of the punches it goes together quickly. It also mails easily without ribbon knots to worry about. I am going to take pictures of the Halloween project I made the other day and will post it later today. Wicked Treats for Stamp Club

Good morning, I hope you had a nice weekend. The weather was great and I did get out and enjoy it a bit but I also did some stamping so I have new projects to share with you. The first one is a club project for this week. It starts with our new 1"x 8" Cellophane Bags. You get 50 for only $2.50 and they are great for Halloween, Christmas, Valentines Day and so much more. We stamped bats from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set with Jet Black Stazon on the front of the Cellophane Bag to add some Halloween Fun. After the Stazon dried we added the Smarties Candy and started decorating the tag. The bags are self sealing but I wanted to add a bit more interest so the top is tied shut with Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. Then to make the tag we used the have a WICKED halloween also from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set and inked it up with the Basic Black and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers stamped on Whisper White Card Stock and punched it out with the 1" Circle Punch. We used the 1 1/4" Circle Punch to punch out Cajun Craze Card Stock and the Curly Label Punch to punch out the Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper. We layered them then attached it to our Ribbon to finish off the Treat Bag. Christmas in July

Good morning, I know that across much of the country there is a heat wave and we too are affected by it here in the Midwest but I am holding my Christmas in July Card Class this Friday and maybe the thought of Christmas will help cool us off. This card is a case from the Catalog except the sample in the catalog is a framed art piece and I wanted a simple card. There is only one stamp set used and the supplies are pretty simple too. The Stamp is in the Ala Carte section and is only $9.95. Each person will make 3 of this card and 3 of the other 3 designs for a total of 12 cards. The cost is only $15 with envelopes including in the cost.

Fabric Fun!

Good evening, I thought I would share one of the cards we did at club tonight with you. It is a fun card with a little fabric as well as Design Series Paper. The base is Blushing Bride and we added a little detail with the Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. After adding the snow flakes the card was spritzed with the Shimmer Frost White and Alcohol homemade shimmer spritz. You can see the shimmer in the photos. We used the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Fabric to make the ruffle along the bottom of the snowflake paper from the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Paper. The fabric was cut with the Big Shot and the new Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die. It was added to the back of the Designer Series Paper with Sticky Strip. The Blushing Bride 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon was tied around the card and knotted with a square knot. The cute little snowman is from A Cute Christmas Stamp Set and he is colored with our Stampin' Write Markers in Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Real Red, Blushing Bride and Garden Green after being stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with Jet Black Stazon. We used 2 Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds to give the snow a little sparkle. The snowman was added to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals after we added the Real Red Card Stock mat. I really think our Stamp Club hostess will like it as she enjoys the fun colors. Definitely a little non traditional and perfect if you don't always get your Christmas Cards out before Christmas as this can be a Happy New Year or Happy Winter card. Well, that's it for me. Fang-tastic

Hello! I hope you are enjoying the Halloween projects this week. This is one of the cards that we made Friday night at Patti's workshop. It is a basic layout that I cased from a swap card I recently received. I really like the Spider Web Impressions Folder and on this card we accented it with the Frost White Shimmer Paint. I used a sponge dauber to apply the Shimmer Paint. The Designer Series Paper is Nite Owl and is in the Holiday Mini. The cute little Vampire is from the Fang-tastic Stamp Set and is available in Clear Mount or Wood Mount. We used Jet Black Stazon, then colored the vampire and bat in with the Blender Pen and Stampin' Write Markers in Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Basic Black, and Basic Gray. I layer of Cajun Craze adds a little more color behind the main image. We used the new Black Waffle Paper and the Decorative Label Punch to accent the sentiment that was punched out with the 1 3/4x 7/8" Oval Punch. To punch out the Waffle Paper you first need to add some support so just SNAIL it to a piece of card stock then punch out. I used Basic Black to match the Waffle Paper. You can also use it to add a ruffle to your cards, I will share one of those another day. Well, I am off busy day with lots going on at our house. Wicked Halloween

Everytime I see this stamp set I think of Wicked the wonderful Broadway Musical that my daughter and I had the opportunity to see last winter while in New York. I loved it and I am falling in love with this stamp set. I didn't think I needed it but now that I have it I am seeing so many possiblities.This is one of the cards that I made thinking I would use for Patti's workshop but I ended up modifying it just a little bit. I used several new items on this card and I love the combo of colors. I used Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Rich Razzleberry Card Stock which are also in the Wicked Fun Specialty Designer Series Paper. The Rich Razzleberry Card Stock was texturized with the Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and then I used the Distressing Kit to add some highlights to the web. There are webs stamped across the top of the Old Olive Card Stock. The rest of the images were stamped with Jet Black Stazon. This is my go to Black ink for watercoloring and so much more. I used the Cajun Craze and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Markers to add some color after stamping the images. I used several punches including the new 3/4" x 15/16" Oval Punch, the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch and the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I little Raven 1/2" Lace Trim that makes me think of a black petticoat that the witch might wear and this card is finished. I have several more projects to share with you and hopefully will have some time tomorrow to type up another post. We had Stamp Club tonight and I have those projects to share as well. Convention Make-n-Takes Part 1

Hello! Today we went and got K's schedule for her freshman year. There were lots of freshman girls but things moved pretty quickly and she only had one class that she wanted but couldn't get in. Not to bad I guess for her freshman year. I did make a card today but I am going to save it for tomorrow as it is a birthday card for Saturday and even though the birthday person won't be on my blog I am still going to wait. Today I am going to share with you two of the cards we did while at Convention. I really love this new stamp set (Just Believe) and will be using it quite a bit I predict. The first card is fairly simple but shows a fun why to add dimension to your one layer cards. The second card is a little more complex but still doable to workshops or classes. It showcases our Stampin' Write Markers (which are tax free August 6-8) and the Color Spritzer. If you haven't tried the Color Spritzer why not schedule a private class for you and your friends and I will show you how to use the Color Spritzer. We also used the Wonderful new Buttons. I love how shiny and smooth they are and they colors are so wonderful. I have the Brights right now and will be adding more on future orders.

It's a Case

Red, White, and Blue!

Memorial Day is almost here and I thought I would share this card that I CASE'd from the Summer Mini. I just love this set and wheel and thought the card in the mini really was great. I made a few minor changes but for the most part it is the same. This card would also be perfect for 4th of July Invites. Wonderful Mom

Good afternoon, sorry for not posting again yesterday but the project that I finished I can't share right at the moment as it is a birthday gift. I am super excited to share it with you but it will have to wait until the birthday girl receives it. Since I have been sewing so much I feel like I have sort of lost my stamping mojo so I decided to start with a simple card. I will share with you a card I made this afternoon. I haven't used a lot of the the Occasion Mini items so before time runs out I had better start. One of the items that I have been wanting to use is the Extra Large Two Step Bird. This punch not only punches out the bird and wing but also the branch that the bird is setting on. It really is cute and for a mom that loves bird watching what a perfect card. The base is So Saffron Card Stock and so is the bird. I added a little So Saffron Classic Ink to the bird to give it a little more dimension. The branch is punched out of Old Olive Card Stock. I also used some much neglected Designer Series Paper from the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack. I really need to use more of these as they are so pretty and fun. The bird and his branches are on a Whisper White Card Stock Lattice made with the Big Shot and the Stampin'Up! Lattice Bigz Die. Doesn't it make him look like he is setting right on a lattice fence. I added a simply Wonderful Mother sentiment to finish off the card from the Well Scripted Stamp Set. I inked it with the Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker which I also used to add the eye on the bird. New Baby Fun!

Good morning, hope you are having a great weekend. The sun is shining which is a big plus. A couple of days ago I shared a card that I had CASE'd from one that Renee VanStralen had made. This is the second card that I had made that day using the same layout. The base is Pretty in Pink Card Stock, I also used Whisper White and Rose Red Card Stock, the Designer Series Paper is from Tea Party. I used two stamp sets Fox and Friends and Family Phrases. The ribbon is Pretty in Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon and there are three punches used on this card, the Scallop Edge Punch, Scallop Circle Punch and the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I inked up the whale with the Pretty in Pink and Rose Red Stampin' Write Markers. It is really hard to see in this picture but on the upper part of the card I have stamped happy new baby in Pretty in Pink Classic Ink. Nothing to fancy about the card just simple and sweet.

More Vintage Vogue

Good morning, what a dreary yucky day. I hope that this weather doesn't affect all the activities that our family has planned for this weekend. I really want Spring to arrive, but enough about the weather. I have a new card to share with you today. It has a lot of detail to it and was fun to make. Lets get started with the supplies: Vintage Vogue Stamp Set ( wood mount 117690 or clear mount 118598), Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel (117693), Jumbo Handle (103661), Kraft Card Stock (102125), Not Quite Navy Card Stock (101722), Rich Razzleberry Card Stock (115316), Very Vanilla Card Stock (101650), Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad (102277), Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin' Pad (115659), Not Quite Navy Classic Stampin' Pad (103008), Close to Cocoa Classic Stampin' Pad (103139), Old Olive Stampin Write Marker (100079), Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write Marker (100072), Kraft Taffeta Ribbon (109068), Eyelet Border Punch (113692), Crimper (101618)

The base is of course Kraft Card Stock which I rolled the Very Vintage Wheel across the bottom of the card. I then used the Eyelet Border Punch to make a Not Quite Navy Strip to go across the center of the card. This was Crimped before I added it to the card. I used Sticky Strip to attach the Not Quite Navy Card Stock to the card folding it as I went to give it a ruffled looked. I then added the Kraft Taffeta Ribbon around the card and tied it with a knot. I stamped the Life Happens. Love Helps. first on the Very Vanilla Card Stock then used the Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the vine and stamp it twice on the Very Vanilla Card Stock. I then stamped the flowers and leaf on scrap Very Vanilla and cut them out with my paper snips. They were added to the card with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin Dimensionals and there you have the finished card. It looks more complex than it is.

Vintage Flowers

Good morning, I am going to make this a quick post as I have to get back to school soon to tour a high school with my daughter. Today's card is one that we are doing in Stamp Club this month. When I received my Occasions Mini this was a stamp set that I knew I had to have. I just love the vintage look and after stamping with it I am so glad that I purchased it early. The stamp set is Vintage Vogue (117690 wood mount, 118598 clear mount). This set also has a coordinating wheel which I will show you on a future card. I started with a base of Kraft Card Stock (102125) and then used the Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049) to stamp the flower edge four times down the left side of the card with the Close to Cocoa Classic Stampin' Pad (103139). If you look under the Old Olive 5/8" Satin Ribbon (117292) you can see the stamping that I am talking about. There is a space between the two sides that is about of 1/4" for the ribbon. Next we moved onto the main image which is inked up with the Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write Marker (100072) and the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker (116329). This was stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock (101650). We also stamped the small flower and the leaf on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock with Old Olive Classic Ink (102277) and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker (116329)before cutting them out. The flower was added with a Stampin' Dimensional (104430) and the leaves were added with Mini Glue Dots (103683). To finish off the flower we added a small half back pearl. Now for the fun part making the Chocolate Chip Card Stock (102128) mat to go behind the image. We started with a 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" piece of card stock and used both the Scallop Trim Corner (118870) and the Scallop Trim Border (118402). Now this is a practice makes perfect type of project but once you figure out a size that works best with the punches it really is a fun way to add that something extra to your card. Inspired by Polka Dots!

Hello, does this look familiar to you? If you checked out my last post with my daughter's Scallop Square Purse then it might. I mentioned in my last post that I was inspired to make a card using the colors I had found in the fabric. There were so many Stampin'Up! colors that I just couldn't help myself. So this afternoon I got busy and quickly made this card. It really went together quickly and I love the fun colors together. I think it would make a great cake design with dark chocolate icing and fondant icing in the pastels and rose color. Hmm, maybe my daughter would like a cake like that for her 15th birthday. Well, that is still several months away so I had better not get to far ahead of myself. Now back to the card. The base of the card is Chocolate Chip Card Stock, and I used the 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch and 3/4" Circle Punch to make the random Polka Dots out of Rose Red Card Stock, Bashful Blue Card Stock, Apricot Appeal Card Stock and Certainly Celery Card Stock . The stamp set I used is Happy Moments which is one of the Sale-a-bration choices. I used the Stampin' Write Markers in Rose Red, Bashful Blue, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery and Barely Banana to color in my image. I rarely color with the Markers directly on my image but this one just need the extra color that the markers give. I used the Scallop Edge Punch and the Corner Rounder to finish off my framing around the image. I also used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the stamp set to add the happy birthday to one of the Bashful Blue Polka Dots. The image and the happy birthday were both stamped with Basic Brown Classic Ink Pad. So what do you think of my inspired by card? I don't really have any birthday's coming up soon unfortunately. Tic Tac Toe!

Good morning, today it is back to stamping and sharing with you projects that I am working on. Now before I get into today's card, let me tell you that I often sketch out cards I would like to make. I look through the catalog or pull out certain stamp sets and just sketch cards. A lot of the time they end up really close to the sketch but sometimes they sort of take on a mind of their own and look very little like the original sketch. This card is one of those cards. Sure there are some elements that remained the same like the background {Feb 14} and the tic-tac-toe board sort of in the middle. I used only one stamp set A Happy Heart (111758) and a few of our In Colors for this year. The supplies used were: Soft Suede Card Stock (115318), Confetti White Card Stock, Melon Mambo Textured Card Stock (115719), Bermuda Bay Card Stock (115317), Soft Suede Classic Stamp Pad (115657), In Color Stampin' Write Markers (116329), 1/2" Circle Punch (104390), 3/16" Corner Rounder (109047) and 1/2" Soft Suede Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon (115612). Christmas Pines

Good morning, as promised I have another Pattern Pines Card for you today. Last week you may remember I shared a Snowman card that used nontraditional colors based on a recent shopping trip. Well today those colors are back. I kind of like these colors for a little different Christmas feel. The base of the card is Real Red Card Stock (102482) and I stamped the Poinsettia corner image in the top left corner in Real Red Stampin' Write Marker. The Trees were inked up with the Pixie Pink (105112), Green Galore (100048), and Real Red (100052) Stampin' Write Markers and then stamped once on the Whisper White Card Stock (100730) and then again on a scrap piece of Whisper White Card Stock (100730)and cut out to add dimension to the project. I added a layer of Green Galore Card Stock (101768) for a background matte. The be merry is again from the Warm Words Stamp Set (115108) and is inked with the Pixie Pink Stampin' Write Marker (105112). I punched out the be merry with the Modern Label Punch (116630) and then layered it on top of a Large Oval Punch (107305) made with Pixie Pink Card Stock (105121). A little double stitched ribbon from the Mistletoe Ribbon Originals (116792) and this card is complete. Traditional Pines

Happy Monday morning, today looks to be a very productive day. I enjoyed a beautiful weekend with my family.I wish the weather could stay like this all winter. Well, maybe not all winter we do need some snow for Christmas and sledding over the school break but other than that a mild winter would be fine with me. I see that over the weekend my blog hits reached 13,000. Thank you to all of you that stop by and check out my blog I really appreciate it and I hope you find ideas that inspire you. Now to move onto today's card. I actually made two very different cards with the Patterned Pines Stamp Set this morning and I will show you the traditional one today and the other one tomorrow. The card is fairly simple and would be a easy card to mass produce. I started with a Old Olive Card Stock (100702) Base cut 4 1/4" by 11" and folded in half to make a finished card with dimensions of 4 1/4 by 5 1/2". I used my Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker (100079) to ink up the be merry from the Warm Words Stamp Set (115108) and stamped it on the bottom right corner. I then added a layer of Old Olive Striped DSP from the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper (115672). I scalloped the bottom edge with the Scallop Edge Punch (112091) before I added it to the card. I little Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon from the Mistletoe Ribbon Originals (116792) was knotted toward the bottom of the card. The Real Red Card Stock (102482) was cut to 3" x 3 1/4" and added to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I cut a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock (101650) 2 3/4" x 3" and added it on the Real Red Card Stock. I used the main image which consist of the three trees. I used the Real Red (100052), Certainly Celery (105106), Old Olive (100079)Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the trees then stamped then on Very Vanilla Card Stock and cut them out and added them to the Very Vanilla Card Stock. The Real Red Tree is added with dimensionals.

Scrappin' Halloween

Hello! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Yesterday I mentioned some Scrapbook pages that we had made the night before well today I am going to share those with you.
I will be the first to admit that I am way behind on my scrapbooking. I started stamping with the intentions to use it as a way to complete more scrapbook pages but also to have the color coordination that I really found lacking in other products, but after discovering the world of card making and Digital Photography I have found that I print less pictures. I would however love to change that and after making these two pages am eager to get some new Halloween pictures of my kiddos to finish this pages. So enough rambling from me and on to the pages. Both have similar layouts and start with 12x12 Perfect Plum Card Stock (107084). I love the fact that you can buy any of our 48 colors in 12 x 12 Card Stock! I used Sponge Daubers (102892) and sponged the edges of the Perfect Plum Card Stock with Perfect Plum Classic Ink (101437). Then I added a Pumpkin Pie Card Stock (107100) layer cut 6x12". On the Pumpkin Pie I used Versamark and stamped the bubbles from Halloween Hoot Stamp Set (111582). Halloween Hoot was the only stamp set used while making these pages. On both pages I added a 1"x 12" strip of Cast-a-Spell Designer Series Paper (115677). On the top page I also added 1/4" Black Grosgrain Ribbon (109027). Trick or Treat was cut out with the Big Shot and the Stampin' Up! Timeless Type Sizzlits Dies (115951). Having the Big Shot and a Alphabet set to use with it makes cutting out your titles so easy and you never have to worry about running out of a letter and with three J names at our house that is a big benefit! I added photo mats of various sizes in Old Olive Card Stock (100702). On the first page I cut out a circle with the Circle Scissor Plus (112530) and stamped the witch, sign and sentiment all with the Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049). They were colored with the Stampin' Write Markers in Basic Black (100082), Perfect Plum (100035), Old Olive (100079), Pumpkin Pie (105115), and Chocolate Chip (100071). On the second page I stamped with frog and cauldron with Stampin' Write Markers and cut them out and added them to the page with Stampin' Dimensionals. On the second page I also added a Whisper White Top Note for journalling. Both the circle and the top note were sponged with Perfect Plum Classic Ink. I added some Photo Corner (109042) Accents in Basic Black Card Stock (102851) and the pages are ready for pictures. Now if my kids Halloween costumes were ready for them.

Red, White and Suede?

Good morning, did you think I had left and forgot to tell you? I have been crazy busy trying to get ready for convention and preparing all my swaps. I am so excited to be going and even more excited to share all the great swaps with you that I receive when I get back. For those of you that are local, I will be holding a convention night after I get back to share it all with you!
After working for several days on various cards I finally decided that I had to do some fun stamping. I had just received the Medallion Background Stamp (115223) in a order this week and have been anxious to ink it up! I decided to go with a patriotic theme and also try out the new Soft Suede In Color. I haven't used this color much but I have been wanting too. The card is pretty simple and would be great if you have a lot of thank you cards you would like to make or even thinking of you, birthday or just any other sentiment. Now for the recipe. The base is Soft Suede Card Stock (115318), then a layer of Real Red Card Stock (102482). The Medallion Background is stamped twice on Confetti White Card Stock (102028) once in Soft Suede Classic Ink (115657) and then again after cleaning the stamp in Brocade Blue Classic Ink (100907). I punched out the center of the Brocade Blue Image with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch (112004) and layered that on the Soft Suede Image. I used a Square Red Fire Rhinestone Brad (109112) in the center of the image to add a little extra bling. The sentiment is the Elegant Thank You Stamp (114484) and I just simply inked up the Thank you with the Brocade Blue Stampin' Write Marker (100064) and lined the image up with the Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049) and stamped it exactly where I wanted it. There you have the finished card, very simple yet special.

Lemonade and Bees

Good morning! I finished this card and another one (I'll show you it tomorrow)yesterday but because of the lighting last night I couldn't get a good picture. This still isn't the best picture but after taking 15 of this card I figured it wasn't going to get better. I am using the new colors and Designer Series Paper but since I haven't bought any of the new stamp sets yet I am going through some of my older ones and getting them back out to use. With the flowered design in the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP I thought Bees would be perfect. What else would you find next to all those pretty flowers and bright colors but Bees. The base of the card is Rich Razzleberry Card Stock (115316) with a square of Melon Mambo Card Stock (115320) layered on top. I used the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP (115675) to make the three panels that I placed on top of the Melon Mambo Card Stock. I stamped the Beehive and the Bees from Just Buzzin' By (113228) on Watercolor Paper (105019) in Soft Suede Classic Ink (115657). I used the Aquapainter(103954) and Crushed Curry Classic Ink (115659), Melon Mambo Classic Ink (115656)m and Soft Suede Classic Ink to color in the stamped images. After cutting them out I used dimensionals to attach them to the card. The sentiment is also from the Just Buzzin' By Stamp Set. It is actually one long sentiment but I wanted it to fit the Large Oval Punch(107305) so I used the Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Marker (116329) to color the part that I wanted stamped, cleaned the stamp, inked up the rest and stamped again. This was layer on the a Pumpkin Pie Card Stock (105117) Scallop made using the Scallop Oval Punch (114889). That finished off the card, inside I will add Hi! and the card is ready to send. Tomorrow I will be back with a card using the same Designer Paper but a different look. Have a great day, Tonya
