Good afternoon, well yesterday got away from me but not in a bad way. I had the opportunity to send some time with the Youth in our church and I decided to seize the chance and boy am I glad I did, but I didn't get a chance to post a project. Sorry about that. I have a very important Birthday Party coming up this weekend and I have been busy creating fun projects for the girls. Today I want to share the card holder with you. It is designed to resemble a purse and each one will have one of the girl's initials on it. It will hold four cards and envelopes for each girl to take home and use. I will be making all the purses but the girls will make the cards. If you would like to learn how to make this purse don't worry I am scheduling a class for April with a new Designer Series Paper and Stamp Set that will be available in April then not again until the new catalog comes out in July. The colors in the purse are Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, and Poppy Parade.
Finally today is the last day to place your Sale-a-bration orders. If you would still like to place an order you can call me or place your order online. I do have an order going in today and if you are local I would be happy to combine the orders and save shipping cost for you. If you would like to start your own Stampin'Up! business now is a great time. Call me and we can chat about the wonderful opportunity. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

A Good Luck Case!
Good evening, I am late posting tonight but I have a good reason. My oldest son and I are out of town for a Future Problem Solving Contest and we have been traveling. This card however isn't for him but rather for my daughter who has a track meet tomorrow. I can't be there with her but I did want to let her know that I was thinking of her and wanted to wish her luck. I didn't have a lot of time to stamp today so I cases a card from the Catalog. I just changed the sentiment and colors to match my daughter's personality. I don't have a catalog with me right now but I will update later with the page number. The colors I used are Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Tempting Turquoise and Rich Razzleberry. The sentiment is from the Sincere Salutations Stamp Set and is stamped with Early Espresso Classic Ink. I used a Vintage Brad in the center of my flower which was cut with the Big Shot with the Island Blossoms Die. I did a little shimmer with the Shimmer Mist which is hard to see in the photo.

Springtime Vintage Hair Bow
Good afternoon. Today is a busy day out our house with our family getting ready for my boys music program tonight but I did want to share with you this Springtime Vintage Hair Bow that I made the other day. I used the Scallop Circle #2 Die and the Springtime Vintage Designer Fabric and a Night of Navy Button from the Springtime Vintage Big Designer Buttons. My daughter wore this one last night and commented on how light it was to wear. I am going to make more and if you would like to buy a hair bow contact me and I will work with you on fabric styles. Okay I am off to get a few more things done before I need to go get kids. Have a great evening and thanks for stopping by. Oh and don't forget to leave a comment on my Blog Candy to be entered to win. Tonya

Petal Cone Carrot
Good morning, I love the versatility of the Petal Cone Die and I sure hope it is in the new catalog in July. Carrots have been popping up all over the internet and I just had to give it a try. This will be one of the projects that we are making at my Easter Class which is coming up next month. The Carrot is made from Pumpkin Pie Card Stock that has been run through the Big Shot to add texture then sponged with the Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink and a Sponge. The cute little bunny is from the Forest Friends Stamp Set which you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase now through March 31. I inked the bunny with the Basic Gray Classic Ink Pad then wiped his nose off with a cotton swap and reinked it with Pretty in Pink Stampin' Write Marker and stamped it on Very Vanilla Card Stock. Below the bunny I stamped Happy Easter from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set in with the Old Olive Classic Ink Pad. I used the 1 3/4" Circle Punch to punch out the Bunny. That was layered on an Old Olive Scallop Circle that was made with the Pennant Bigz XL Die. To finish up the carrot I used the Little Leaves Sizzlit Die and cut three of leaves from Old Olive Card Stock. To attach it to the top of the Petal Cone Die I used another Old Olive Scallop Circle that had a hole in the center for the stems to feed through I then attached the scallop circle to the top of the petal cone with Dotto as it is a repositionable adhesive which make it easy to remove to get the candy out without tearing up the carrot. You can order all the supplies to make this project online or just give me a call and I will be happy to help you place your order. Don't forget that I have Blog Candy to be given away on Friday. If you haven't left me a comment on that post then please take a moment to do so. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Star Quilt Update
Happy Monday Morning! I am headed out soon to go grocery shopping but before I did that I wanted to give you an update on the quilt. It has come a long way since the previous post and while the top isn't finished yet, it is getting closer. I am also going to do some fabric shopping while I am out. :) The quilt has came together pretty quickly but I am trying to decide what to add next. I feel like it needs another color around the whole thing but am not sure what. Any suggestions? Leave me a comment if you have an idea. I would really love to hear from you.
I am also hoping to do some stamping today and finish up a few projects that are started on my table. If that works out then I will start posting those tomorrow. Don't forget that Sale-a-bration will soon be ending if you haven't placed your orders yet to receive your free item there is still time. Give me a call I would be happy to help you. Well, I am off to the store. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Big Shot Star!
Good morning! I love my Big Shot and use it all the time in fact I probably use it every time I am stamping but this week I have been using to for fabric projects including today's post. I am currently working on a quilt. It isn't going to be a big quilt only about 36" x 48" but a quilt none the less. I have four of the blocks sewn and the other 9 are ready to start sewing which I will be working on today. For this project I used the 5 Point 3D Star Bigz Die and the Big Shot. I cut 5 star points per block and used a Patriot themed fabric. I will be sure and take a picture of the finished quilt top (hopefully sometime this weekend) to share with you. Have you every thought about buying the Big Shot? Did you know that as a Demonstrator you can get the Big Shot for 30% off on your first Stampin'Up! order (there are conditions that must be met for this to apply) or you can order the Big Shot and receive free Sale-a-bration sets! Even as a demonstrator you will receive Sale-a-bration reward while making a purchase. So why not give me a call and see what Stampin'Up! has to offer you. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great day, Tonya

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Good morning and Happy St. Pattie's Day to ya! Have you ever made a card that just sort of made it's self? I had a sketch in mind and thought I knew what this card would look like but then it sort of took a turn and you know what I like it the way it ended up better than how I had started it. Must be some of the luck of the Irish. :) The card contains two greens Wild Wasabi and Garden Green and also Very Vanilla but those are the only colors. The base has some texture that was added with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The stamp is from the Got Treats Stamp Set and I inked the shamrock with the Wild Wasabi Stampin Write Marker, then used the Garden Green Stampin' Write Marker to ink up the Got Green? and to accent the ends of the shamrock to give it a little dimension. The designer series paper is from the Woodland Walk Pack and I accented it with Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon and Very Vanilla Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. I think the Got Green is perfect of course for today. Don't forget to wear your green so that you don't get pinched. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a blessed day, Tonya

Springtime Vintage Scissors Keeper
Just a quick post for the evening. I did get a chance to make the Scissor Keeper with the Springtime Vintage Designer Series Fabric. I had a sick child today so I let him pick which of the three fabrics I should use and he chose the Rose Red Floral print. I added a Rose Red Button to the front but other than that it is the same and yesterday's post. I also did some more sewing today but I will share that another day, probably Friday. I am starting new quilt and I have the first block done only 11 more to go. Thanks for stopping by and be sure and stop by tomorrow for a new card. Yes, I even got to stamp today! Hope your day was a great one, Tonya

Paper Snip Keepers
Hello, and good evening! I had some time to create today and I really enjoyed it. The best part is that I have lots of ideas ready to make more things to share with you. I just need to find more time in the day to complete them all. I have seen several pouches made with the new Petal Cone Die and as I looked at it I saw a cute little pouch for my Paper Snips. I made the card stock pouch first then thought it would look extra cute in fabric so back to creating and after completing the fabric one I love it! It is just so darn cute and tomorrow I will be making another one out of our Springtime Vintage Fabric. I can't wait to see how it turns out and will share it with you after I am done.
First the Card Stock Pouch, the pouch is made with Early Espresso Card Stock and Tangerine Tango. I added some Sweet Stitches Designer Series Paper to the front of the pouch and then added a Daffodil Delight Button on the front. I used Sticky Strip to hold the pouch together and to hold the front flap down. The Paper Snips fit inside and look so cute.
Now for the fabric pouch which I like even more and can see myself making a bunch off. I used some scrap fabric that I had out on my table (notice that it matches yesterday's post) and cut out two Petal Cones from the fabric and one from a cotton batting. It is important to make sure when cutting your fabric that you have one with the pattern up and one with the pattern down so that you can put the two pieces together. Ask me how I discovered this. ;) I made a sandwich of fabric with right sides out and the batting in the middle. I stitched around the edge then folded the Petal Cone and tucked the flap in and stitched up the open side. I added a retired Kiwi Kiss Corduroy Button to the flap to hold it done and add a little more interest to the pouch. The Paper Snips fit a little better in this pouch and I think it would look great next to my sewing area. That is if I had a sewing area. Maybe someday when I get more organized. I do think my Scissors will be easier to find with this bright pouch to keep them in. If you were the type that sews a lot and need to have your scissors hand you could add a ribbon and wear them around your neck.
I have added a picture of the two side by side for comparison. Neither took very long to make. There are so many uses for the Petal Cone die and I have only just started using it. If you haven't purchased yours you can do so online or by call me to place your order. Of course if you all ready have a demonstrator then give her/him a call I am sure they would love to help you too.
Thanks for stopping by tonight and I hope to have a new post for you tomorrow. Have a great evening, Tonya

Stampin'UP! has new Digital Downloads for My Digital Studio. Did you know that you can receive a free So Much to Sale-a-brate Digital Content CD just for purchasing My Digital Studio this month. I used the Free CD to create my new blog header and My Digital Studio is so easy to use and it isn't just for adults, kids are finding it to be a great program for school work too. If you would like more information about My Digital Studio give me a call and we can talk. Now for today's new downloads. Thanks for stopping by today, I am busy working on some new projects. I have a long list of ideas and we will see how many I get through today. I also have a sick child at home today so that my slow my progress down a bit. Have a great day, Tonya

Big Shot Flower
Good afternoon! I am back sooner than I expected with a new project. I was checking out some projects on the Stampin'Up! website and came across a hair accessory and just had to give it a try. I used some scrap fabrics (so I didn't waste my good fabric) and the Big Shot with the Scallop Circle #2 Die. I used a needle and thread to stitch the Scallops together and added a button to the center to complete this flower. I am trying to decide if I am adding a hair clip back or a pin back to this flower. I think it would make a great addition to my Black Hat and with a pin back I can take if off and add it to other things. If you would like to make your own flower contact me and I will be happy to show you how. Thanks for stopping by and as always have a great day, Tonya
Sorry, nothing new right now
Good morning, I thought I would just stop by and let you know that while I had not planned on going this long without a post some things can not be avoided. We had a super busy weekend and on top of that I am coming down with something that seems to have zapped my energy. All I want to do is sleep. Not fun at all and definitely not a productive way to create. I am hoping to find some energy and time to make something new today and if I have time I will post later tonight or tomorrow morning. Just a few reminders that Sale-a-bration will be ending March 31 but there is still time to place your orders and signup to start your own Stampin'Up! business. I am so that I made that decision back in August of 2004 and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Give me a call if you would like more information about Stampin'Up! or the benefits of being a demonstrator for such a great company. Have a great day, Tonya

Trio of Blossoms
Wow has this week gone by quickly and I just realized that I haven't stamped a new card all week. Looks like I had better get busy so you have something new to look at tomorrow. Today's card is a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" card. It uses the Build a Blossom Stamp Set and Blossom Petals Punch. It also uses the Sincere Salutations Stamp Set. The colors on this card are Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Basic Gray and Whisper White. The supplies are left over from a workshop I had last month. I used a smaller blossom petal and made three flowers for this card. I also used the 1/2" Circle Punch to make the centers for the flowers. I hope we get to see some real flowers before to long. I am ready for the warm weather to arrive. This would be a perfect pick-me-up card for someone special in your life.
Stampin'Up! announced yesterday that the Ornament Punch is now available to order and the issues with the punch have been worked out. If you have been waiting to order it contact me and we will get your order placed. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Stepped up Thoughts and Prayers
Good morning! As the title of this post implies this is the stepped up card that I mentioned in an earlier post. I used the Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set again but this time instead of using the Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the image I used Versamark to stamp with then used the Stampin' Pastels to add color to the Versamark. The colors used on this card are Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Very Vanilla and Old Olive. For Stamp Club we used Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Pastels and lightly tapped the Versamark areas. You don't want to rub as this will smear your image. The Thinking of You... is inked with the Night of Navy Stampin Write Marker, stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock and Punched out with the 2"x 1 3/8" Oval Punch. There is a Old Olive Decorative Label Punch behind the sentiment. Before the main panel was added to the card we added a layer of Old Olive to the top and a layer of Daffodil Delight that was punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch along the bottom. We also added a piece of Night of Navy Taffeta Ribbon across the card. A knot was added to the ribbon to add interest. Finally the sentiment was added with Stampin' Dimensionals. The layout is the same basic layout as the first Thoughts and Prayers card but with the new technique and added punched elements this card takes on a different look. Not sure if I will get any stamping done today or not. I need to clean up from last nights club and put away the supplies before I start another project so we will see how productive I get today. The sky is starting to cloud up again so it looks like another dreary day is in store for us. Maybe I will take a few moments to stamp. It always improves my mood. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Easter Card For Club
Good morning, it is pretty early as I type this but I wanted to get a card up to share with you today. This card is one that we are doing for Stamp Club tonight. The stamp set is Easter Blossoms and the Designer Series Paper is Springtime Vintage. The card stock colors that I used are Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla. For ink I used the Crumb Cake Classic Ink Pad, Not Quite Navy Classic Ink Pad, Baja Breeze Classic Ink Pad and the Baja Breeze Stampin' Write Marker. There is a little coloring of the flowers, buds and eggs with the blender pen. The Very Vanilla Seam Binding is added to the card with Mini Glue Dots and Sticky Strip. I am so glad Stampin'UP! has added new colors to our Seam Binding Collections as it is so fun to work with. The Happy Easter is also included in the Stamp Set and after stamping was punched out with the Wide Oval Punch. Now I have at least one Easter Card ready to send and Lent hasn't even started yet. :) If you are interested in making this card or any card you see on my blog please let me know and we can set up a private class for you and your friends. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Black Eyed Susan's
Hello! I am so excited with the way today's card turned out. I am really enjoying the Build a Blossom Stamp Set and coordinating Blossom Petal punch and love showing it off to everyone. This is the third card that we made on Friday night at Patti's Workshop. We used quite a few punches which makes for easy assembly. The sentiment is from the Word Play Stamp Set, if you haven't checked this sentiment set out I encourage you to do so. It has a lot of fun sentiments that work for lots of occasions. The sentiment was stamped with the Early Espresso Classic Ink Pad on Whisper White Card Stock. The base of the card and the petals are Blushing Bride Card Stock and the flower petals were stamped with the Regal Rose Classic Ink Pad before they were punched out. The flower centers are the 1 3/8" x 5/8" Oval Punch and Early Espresso Card Stock. The ovals do have textured added by running them through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folders Die. The stems of the flowers are made with Early Espresso Card Stock and the Two-Step Bird Punch. We used the Branch for the stem and added a Early Espresso leaf to one stem. Not a difficult card to make at all but it looks like it took so much longer. Well, I hope you enjoyed my card for today. I am going to work on sewing today so no stamping but I still have lots of new projects to share with you. So please stop by tomorrow for another card. Enjoy your Monday and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Thoughts and Prayers
Good morning, I had a wonderful time at Patti's workshop. It was a great way to spend the evening. I would love to have a workshop with you and your friends give me a call and we can set up a night to get together. This card is one that we created last night. I haven't used these sets in a while but I the Thoughts and Prayers Set is one of my go to sets for Sympathy and cards of encouragement. I used the tree image which we inked up with the Early Espresso and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers. This takes a little longer but it gives you a much more real tree. The Thinking of You was also inked with the Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker and then punched out with the Wide Oval Punch. The card stock we used is Night Quite Navy, Old Olive, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla. The inside of the card also has a tree on it just a smaller version. It is from the Forest Friends Stamp Set which you can get for free during Sale-a-bration. I can't believe that Sale-a-bration ends this month. You still have time to take advantage of the the specials including joining my team of demonstrators. Give me a call if you would like more information. I had better run I have a lot to do today to get ready for Stamp Club tomorrow and Tuesday. Have a great weekend and remember I have more new projects to share with you so be sure and stop by again. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Stamping with Acrylic Blocks
Good afternoon, sorry for not posting yesterday. I had every intention of posting but I got busy creating new cards and ran out of day and energy. I did make several new cards so I will have new things to show you in the next few days. Today's card is one we are doing at the workshop I have tonight. I wanted to share the Artistic Etchings set with them. The card stock I used it Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Basic Black. I used Stazon Jet Black, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake Classic Ink. I used the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to add some texture to the card front. The Square on the main image is from inking up one of our Acrylic Blocks with Classic Ink and then stamping. It is always nice to find an extra use for one of your supplies. The Crown was punched out with the 1 1/4" Circle and layered with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. There is a Rhinestone added to the crown because every crown needs jewels. I did decorate the inside of the card too but didn't take a picture of that. Need to have a little surprise for the ladies tonight. I hope you enjoyed today's post and remember I have more to share with you. I am super excited to share with you one of the other cards we are doing tonight but that will have to wait for tomorrow. Have a great evening, I know I will since I will be stamping with friends. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Springtime Awaits
Good afternoon, I was able to get a little time to stamp today and have a card to share with you. I cased a layout I saw on Stampin' Connections but rotated the card 90 degrees. I used the new Springtime Blossoms Stamp Set and the Tulip Frame Impressions Embossing Folder. The card stock color I used is not one I traditionally pull out and is Shara Sand. The Very Vanilla Seam Binding looks better in person so it must be the color is off from the monitor or at least that is what I am going with right now. :) I stamped the images in Basic Gray Classic Ink and used the Whisper White Watercolor Crayon to color in a few of the flowers before I watercolored them with the Regal Rose Classic Ink Pad and the Aquapainter. The Crayon resists the ink and leaves the white accents on the flowers. The sentiment was punched out with the Oval Punch and layered with the Scallop Oval Punch that was punched out of Pretty in Pink Card Stock. I added a layer of Pretty in Pink Card Stock behind the stamped image and this card is complete. Pretty simple but it helps me get back into the stamping mood after I have taken some time off. I hope you enjoyed today's card and are looking forward to spring as much as I am. I am ready for some really flowers and buds to appear on the trees. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to have something new to share with you again tomorrow. Until them have a great day, Tonya
