Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day and Thanks for stopping by! I am busy today preparing a Valentine's
Day Dinner for my family that has me making a heart shape cakes per my youngest son's request sort of a deal I made with him and he held up his end of the bargain so so am I. :-) Tuesday I had a class at our local library and this is one of the items we made. I just love the Candy Wrapper Die and since is cuts and scores all at once it really makes life easy. In addition we used the new More Amore Speciality Designer Series Paper to wrap around the container. The heart is made with the Primrose Petals Core'dinations Card Stock  and was cut out with the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits and then sanded.  A Basic Gray banner was made with the Big Shot and Bitty Banners Framelits which goes great with the Word Window Punch and the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. So add just a few extra details to the candy wrapper we added Very Vanilla Seam Binding on each end to close our wrapper and one of the new Vanilla 5/8" Flower Trim Flowers was added. I love these little flowers and will have a card to share with you tomorrow that has a flower that I colored with our Aquapainter and Stamp Pads. Funny story, while I was handing the flowers out at the library I managed to drop one in a cup of coffee that belongs to an attendee. After I fished it out I joked about how we could die them with coffee which of course you could. There are a lot of possiblities for these cute little flowers and I hope we see them carry over after the Spring Catalog has ended.
Well, I am off to decorate a cake and a few cupcakes too. Have a wonderful day! Tonya

Valentine's Day Chalk Board

Happy Wednesday! Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I will be mailing this card are soon. It is actually one that we made a Shirlene's Workshop a few weeks ago. She had requested Valentine's and I was happy to help her with that. The card features the new Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set and matching framelits. The colors are Primrose Petal, Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red and Pool Party. The ink colors are the same and I added Whisper White Craft ink to make the chalk board effect on the Basic Black card stock. The sentiment is from the Wacky Wishes Stamp Set and is available for anyone that host a workshop. Did you know that Sale-a-bration is a great time to host? I will tell you more about why in a bit. Other supplies include the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and the Bitty Banners Framelits (which is a Sale-a-bration option), Pool Party Baker's Twine, and the Bitty Buttons. Just use a few dimensionals and your card is ready to go. The inside is also decorated with hearts on the Whisper White Card Stock that I added inside but I forgot to get a picture of it. :-(
Now back to why it is a great time to host a workshop. Usually for a $400 workshop you would receive $65 worth of free merchandise and one other item at half price (which is great) but during Sale-a-bration you would get  those items plus a package of Silver Glimmer Paper and the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper,, Madison Avenue Stamp Set in either Clear or wood mount, and the Sycamore Street Ribbon And Button Pack. Wow that is a lot of free products just for having a few friends and family over for a fun evening/afternoon of stamping. Contact me if you want the opportunity to have fun and earn free items.
Well, I must get busy. My boys decided on the way to school today that they want to make Valentine's day treats for their friends so I need to get busy cutting out boxes. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Valentine's Hearts

Hello and Good morning, I am going to try and get a post done every day for the rest of the week. Today's card is one that we did last week at club. We used some of the new Occasions Mini items and made this sweet little Valentine's Day Card. The colors are Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso, Whisper White and Baja Breeze. The hearts are cut with the new Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die and the Baja Breeze piece of card stock has hearts added with the new Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. The new Embossing folders are only 1" wide and can be added anywhere your card. I added some Early Espresso Baker's Twine around the card and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and has been stamped with Early Espresso Classic Ink on Whisper White then punched out with the Decorative Label Punch. Tomorrow I will have another new card using more of the new Occasions Mini items. If you haven't taken a look at it yet, don't wait it is a great mini. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Be My Valentine!

Good morning, I am a little behind getting this card posted as it was from Stamp Club earlier this month. I know that doing Valentine's Day Cards in December seems a bit early and I would tend to agree but this set is only available for a short time and I wanted to make sure and use all the stamps in the set. Which meant Valentine's Day in December. The set is Festive and Fun and is only available until January 3rd. We stamped it with Basic Gray Classic Ink and then used the Aquapainters to add some color. The colors on the card are Real Red, Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose. I couldn't resist using the Real Red and Whisper white Glimmer Paper to make heart accents with the Heart to Heart Punch. We also used the Scallop Trim Border Punch. The heart and dot piece behind the main image is the Heart Pressed Letterpress Plate. It is so easy to use with our Craft Stampin' Spots. For ours we used the Real Red Craft Stampin' Spot. I like how you can customize the color to suit your card. If you would like to purchase this set contact me or you can order line. Don't forget to take a look at the Clearance Section online. There are a lot of great deals there including the Black Whale handle style punchs that Stampin'Up! used to carry. All the clearance items are while supplies last so don't hesitate to place your order. Thanks for stopping by again today and have a great day! Tonya

Valentine's Cake

I mentioned during Valentine's Day that I had baked a cake for my family for our Valentine's Day dinner. Today I finally had a chance to upload the picture and get it posted for you. I will be back later today with a stamping project but for now I thought you might like to take a look at another one of my crafting projects. This cake is a chocolate cake that we use often at our house because it does not have eggs in it. I had four heart shaped pans and I baked one batch of cake batter. I used Chocolate frosting on the bottom two layers (they are the same size) and I made pink icing for the top to layers and added a few Valentine Sprinkles. My family loved it and it sure didn't last long with everyone eating it. :) I hope you are having a great day. The kids are home so we are all busy working on projects that are on our To Do List. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Petal Cone Treat

Good morning! Today is a less busy day for our family and I hope to get some stamping time in before the kids get out of school. I do still have a few projects to share with you from yesterday and our busy weekend of creating. This treat container was for one of my sons' teachers and it was inspired by the February Stampin' Success. Stampin' Success is a great magazine that all demonstrators receive each month with ideas and business tips. Don't forget that Sale-a-bration is a great time to start your own Stampin'UP! business. Okay back to the treat. I used the Petal Cone Die and cut it out in Riding Hood Red and the half scallops in Early Espresso. I used Sticky Strip to adhere the two sides but instead of making it a cone I left it flat and made this cute heart. I stamped a heart from the I {heart} Hearts Stamp Set in Riding Hood Red and cut it out by hand before attaching it to the Petal Cone with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Happy Valentine's Day is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and was stamped with Early Espresso on Very Vanilla Card Stock then punched out with the Word Window Punch. To add a little extra wow to the Petal Cone I made a flower from Pink Pirouette Card Stock and the Scallop Circle #2 Die. I cut out four of the larger Scallop Circle and then sprayed each with Shimmer Mist (made with Shimmer Paint and Rubbing Alcohol)

More Valentine's Day Treats

Good evening, I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. We had a busy evening but it was a fun one. For dinner I made a few heart shaped treats for the family including biscuits and chocolate cake. I will share a picture of the cake at a later date. Tonight I have my older kids Valentine's Day treats. For my son's treats we used the Eat Chocolate Stamp Set and the Two Tags Die. We made the tags out of Real Red Card Stock then stamped the so much chocolate so little time sentiment on Whisper White Card Stock with Early Espresso Classic Stamp Pad. He stamped the Medium Cello Bags with White Stazon with various hearts from the I {heart} hearts stamp set and tied the tag on with Crochet Thread. I didn't get a picture but I also colored the ends of the chocolate bar with our Silver Fox Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink. I really like how it made the chocolate bar look more like a real chocolate bar.
Now that my daughter is in high school she doesn't take Valentine's Treats for her whole class. I can't image how long that would take. :) She did want to make a few treats for some special friends. She used the Candy Wrapper Die which was in the Holiday Mini but is still available to purchase. She cut them from Regal Rose Card Stock then used the I {heart} heart stamp set in Melon Mambo, Real Red, and Regal Rose. She used Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon to tie here Candy Wrappers shut after adding some chocolate. I think her friends enjoyed them. I still have more Valentine's Day projects to share with you but I will share those another day. Enjoy the rest of your Valentine's day and I will post again tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Class Valentine's!

Good morning, what a busy weekend it was at our house as I am sure it was for many families. We spent the weekend finishing up Valentine's Day treats for classmates. I am going to share my two youngest boys Valentine's Day treats now and will share what my older kids made later. First up is Jacob's. He is in 3rd grade and wanted something a little more cool for his class. For his he wanted the Bitty Box cut out with the Big Shot in Real Red and Melon Mambo. Then he used the stamp set Friends Rock and we stamped the You Rock! on Whisper White Card Stock with Basic Gray Classic Ink. He colored each with the Watercolor Pencils. He added Tempting Turquoise and Rich Razzleberry behind the Whisper White Card Stock then attached them to the top of the box. Each box contains a bag of Sweethearts candies. He signed his name either on the side or bottom.
Next is Jaxon's Valentine's Day project. He wanted to give his friends pencils as well as candy so his incorporates both. We used the Petal Card Die which is retired (sorry) and cut them out Real Red and Melon Mambo. Each petal card was made into a heart by folding back the bottom pieces and gluing them with Tombow. This created a pocket on the back that we put the skittles in. I cut the tip off of the heart and slid the pencil in. Each heart was decorated with either a boy or girl Build a Bear from the Beary Best Friends Stamp Set. Jaxon colored each bear with the Watercolor Pencils and then a used the Aquapainter to blend the pencils. We used the I {heart} hearts Stamp Set to stamp the Friend Heart in either Real Red or Melon Mambo that each of the bears is holding. The hearts were punched out with the Full Heart Punch. He signed his name after I took the picture on the top of the heart. Both boys were happy with the way their Valentine's turned out. We also made treats for their teachers but that will also have to wait for another time as I have a chocolate cake to bake for my family for our Valentine's day dinner. I am making it heart shaped since they love chocolate cake! Have a great Valentine's Day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Greeting Card Valentine!

Good morning! Another snow day at our house. I am not sure what we will do when we finally have to go back to school but I guess we will just have to wait and see when that it. I am going to be working on Valentine's ideas with my boys so maybe we can get their cards/treats ready or at least planned out. I made this card yesterday and I know the picture isn't the best but the lighting was not the greatest when I took the pictures. I may try again later today when there is more sun shine and if I get a better picture I will update. I know that I have mentioned it before but I really love the Greeting Card Kids Stamp Set and have used all the images. It is a fun set to color whether it be with Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Aquapainters, Reinkers or Blender Pens. I stamped the image on Watercolor Paper with the Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad. This image was colored with Blender Pens and the Classic Stampin' Pads. I used Pretty In Pink, Rich Razzleberry, Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pads and the Blush Blossom Stampin' Write Marker. The base of the card is Crumb Cake (that was texturized with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder) and I also used Pretty in Pink Card Stock as well as Rich Razzleberry Designer Series Pattern Paper. The Pretty in Pink was punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I also used Dazzling Diamonds, 2 Way Glue, Rich Razzleberry 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Victoria Crochet Trim, and a Rhinestone Brad. The sentiment is from the retired Filled with Love Stamp Set. All supplies are of course from Stampin'UP! and can be purchased through me or your local demonstrator. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Heart Flowers

Good morning, I have one last Filled with Love card to share with you before the special ends today. If you want to order this stamp set (in clear or wood) and the Designer Series Paper and receive the Clear Buttons free then be sure and place your order today. Now back to the card. The base of the card and the Designer Series Paper are both Real Red. I have added Polka Dots to the top of the card with the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I used the Tasteful Trim Die and cut out the Early Espresso Double Scalloped Strip that was place across the middle of the card. This die was in the Holiday Mini and is still available to purchase. The heart/flower stamp was inked with the Real Red and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers then stamped across the Whisper White Card Stock five times. I layered it on a piece of Old Olive Card Stock that has the bottom punched with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch. To finish off the card I inked the Feb 14 with the Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker and the heart with the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker then punched it out with the 3/4" x 15/16" Oval Punch and added it to the card with SNAIL. Have you started your Valentine's Cards yet? If not the Filled with Love Stamp Set is a great option.
Do you know what happens tomorrow? It is one of my favorite times of the Stampin'UP! year. Sale-a-bration starts tomorrow and don't forget that for every $50 you spend (before tax and shipping) you get to pick one item from the Sale-a-bration Brochure. Give me a call if you would like to receive a copy. I would love to help you earn lots of free items. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Love!

Good afternoon! I have a few more cards that we made with the Filled with Love Bundle. I want to make sure I show them all to you before the promotion ends. This card is a little hard to see due to the lighting but I really like the combo of Pretty in Pink and Basic Black. The Love is stamped with the Jet Black Stazon with the center stamped with Pretty In Pink then punched out with the 3/4" Punch. There is a Rhinestone in the center. The circle was added with a Stampin' Dimensionals. Then the layers were added with the Pretty in Pink and Basic Black Card Stock. The designer paper is also from the Filled with Love Bundle. There is Real Red and Pretty in Pink Designer Series Paper in the Bundle. The Basic Black Satin Ribbon is ruffled along the center and really helps accent the stamped image. If you want to get your Filled with Love Bundle don't delay the promotion ends on Monday. If you order the bundle from me and you want any of the measurements for the project I did with the Filled with Love Bundle please let me know and I would be happy to send them to you. I am going to run, we are having a busy weekend and I need to get a couple of other things done before I head out again. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend, Tonya

Good Together!

Good evening, I have another card to share with you tonight that uses the Filled with Love Bundle. This was another one of the cards we did at my class last weekend. This card is filled with lots of details and products. The base is Real Red Card Stock then we added a layer of Early Espresso. The Pretty in Pink Designer Series Paper is also in the bundle. The corners were punched with Pinking Hearts Corner Punch and then added to the card. We used the Big Shot to make the Scalloped Envelope which has our two hearts tucked inside. One was stamped with Real Red and one in Pretty in Pink. Both were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. We added Real Red Taffeta Ribbon around the envelope before attaching it to the card with more Dimensionals. The sentiment "We're Good Together" was stamped with Early Espresso on Whisper White Card Stock and punched out with the 3/4" x 15/16" Oval Punch. I will be giving this card to my DH for Valentine's day this year. :) If you want to have one for your sweetheart then don't forget to place your order for the Filled with Love Bundle before the end of the day on Monday because after that the stamp set won't be available. Give me a call if you need help placing your order. Tomorrow I will be back with more Birthday cards. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Valentine Treat Box

Good morning! Well, the snow has started early here so I may not be taking pictures of birthday cards like I originally planned today but I do have a few more to finish up so I can at least stamp. :) Today 's post is a super quick Valentine Treat Box that we made at Saturday's class. It used the Filled with Love Bundle and a few extra Big Shot items. Love the Big Shot and how easy it makes my life. If you don't have one then Sale-a-bration is a great time to get one because you will get free merchandise just for ordering it. But back to the treat box. The die I used is Bitty Box and Envelope Bigz XL Die in Pretty In Pink. You will need a Crease Pad for this die. The box holds four Hershey Nuggets inside which we decorated with the Real Red and Pretty In Pink Designer Series Paper that comes in the Bundle. On the top of the box we added a Real Red Layer of Designer Series Paper. The heart is stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with the Pretty In Pink Classic Ink Pad. Before we stamped we inked up the solid heart with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker, then stamped. If you are making multiple hearts remember to clean your stamp each time or you will transfer Real Red ink onto your Pretty In Pink Pad. The heart is punched out with the Full Heart Punch then layered on the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die which was made with Early Espresso Card Stock. I love the delicate scalloped edge on the die. It adds just a little extra to the box. These boxes are super easy to make and you can get two from a single sheet of card stock which makes them great for school or work. Don't forget that Monday is the last day to order the Filled with love Bundle. You can order online or by calling or emailing me. Oh, I think I might see the sun trying to peak out so I had better get ready to take a few pictures so I can post again later tonight. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Filled With Love Club Card

Tonight's card is another one that we did at Stamp Club last week. We used the Filled with Love Bundle and technique called Inset Embossing. It is a super easy technique to do and makes a big impact. For this card we used the Heart to Heart Punch and used Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, and Early Espresso. Glue the hearts randomly all over the card using your favorite adhesive then run it the card front through the Big Shot with a Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, for this one we used the Square Lattice Folder. The base of the card is Real Red. To finish the card we inked the heart floral image with the Real Red and Early Espresso Stampin' Write Markers and stamped on Whisper White Card Stock. The Whisper White was layer on Early Espresso Card Stock. The Be my Valentine was inked with Early Espresso and punched out with the 3/4"x 15/16" Oval Punch. We used the 1/8" Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon to accent the stamped image and added a heart clear button too. The buttons are free with the Filled with Love Bundle. If you would like to order a Filled with Love bundle remember the offer ends January 24th. It is available in both Clear and Wood mount.
This month was our last club meeting for this round and we will be starting again next month. If you would like to join us please contact me. We have a couple of spots available.
Thanks for stopping by. I will be posting again tomorrow with a new Valentine's Card and a Birthday card for the upcoming Birthday card class. Have a great evening, Tonya

Kangaroo Love!

Hello! I didn't get a chance to stamp today but I have a card that I did earlier in the week. I really like the Build a Roo Stamp Set and I haven't used it in quite a while so I pulled it out for a Valentine's Day card. I used Real Red Card Stock, Early Espresso Card Stock and Real Red Pattern Print Designer Series Paper. The Kangaroo was stamped with Jet Black StazOn on Watercolor Paper and colored with a Blender Ben and Early Espresso Classic Ink, the hearts were colored with the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker. The hearts are cut out and added with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added the Polka Dots with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. If you look closely you can see the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch that I added to the top and bottom of the Real Red Pattern Paper. Not to elaborate but it would be a great card for the kids in your life for Valentine's Day or just because. I may save this one for one of my little guys for Valentine's Day. This set also makes great baby cards and thank you cards. Tomorrow I will be working on more Valentine's Projects before my Saturday Classes so hopefully I will have new project to post on Monday. Have a great weekend and I hope you stop by again, Tonya

Hearts, Hearts and more Hearts

Good evening, I did get a chance to stamp yesterday but finding time to post has been a small problem, but I knew that I would sneak in a few minutes if I was just patient. Today's card using Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink and Early Espresso which came straight from the Color Coach. I used the stamp set I {Heart} Hearts which is from the main catalog. The other supplies used were Pretty In Pink, Whisper White and Early Espresso Card Stock. Melon Mambo, Early Espresso, and Pretty in Pink Stampin' Write Markers. Heart to Heart Punch, Pinking Hearts Border Punch, Pretty in Pink 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Big Shot and the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This is a perfect card for that special someone in your life whether is be for Valentine's or an Anniversary. I am going to keep this post short as I need to get some sleep tonight. Busy day tomorrow. :) Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Take Note

I found some time to stamp today and finished a card. What a great way to start the new year.
I recently bought the Notably Ornate and haven't had a chance use it much since this last month I have been in Christmas Card Mode, but now that Christmas is over I decided to make a Valentine's Day Card with the set. I started with a base of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock, then added a layer of Early Espresso Card Stock. The Crumb Cake layer is embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder that was sponged with Early Espresso Classic Ink and Spritzed with the Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker and the Spritz Tool. All of the edges were distressed too. The main image from was stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock with Early Espresso Classic Ink. I tore the edges and sponged them too. The Early Espresso Satin Ribbon was scrunched and added with Sticky Strip. The Take note was stamped with Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink on Very Vanilla Card Stock and punched out with the Wide Oval Punch and layered on the Cherry Cobbler Tag that was made with the Big Shot and the Lots of Label Sizzlits Die. The tag was completed with the Tiny Tags Stamp Set and a Jewelry Tag Punch. There is a tiny pearl at the bottom of the tag but it is kind of hard to see in the picture. This card will also work for an Anniversary Card or just a special card for that someone special. :) I am off for the night as we have a busy day of traveling tomorrow. I hope you are having a great start to 2011 and don't forget to get a little stamping in from time to time. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya
