Smore's Easter Treats!

Hello! First let me say I am sorry I have been so quiet this week. That was not my intention but with a sick child that was home for two days and a trip to visit a college with the oldest time for posting has seemed to get away from me. Tonight I wanted to share Smore's Treats that I have ready for Easter to give to some special kids. They are quick to make and so much fun to eat. A fellow demonstrator posted the idea at Halloween and I tucked it away until Easter. The Stamp Sets I used are Ears to You and Teeny Tiny Wishes. I used both Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Write Markers and Card Stock to make the toppers. I used the Labels Collection Framelits and stamped two of the three bunnies on Whisper White Card Stock. I stamped with Happy Easter with Basic Gray and punched it out with the Word Window Punch and layered with on Basic Gray Card Stock punched out with the Modern Label Punch. I used resealable bags that I found at a local craft store to put my peep, chocolate bar and graham crackers in. All you need to do is pop it in the microwave and enjoy. I also sold these at the Ladies Day out at the YWCA and if you are local and would like some for your Easter Baskets just let me know and I will be happy to make them for you. Petal Cone Carrot

Happy Friday to you! It is going to be a beautiful warm day here in Missouri and I can't wait. I love Spring and Summer and with Easter right around the corner I have a little treat holder to share with you. I only used the Petal Cone Die and the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set for this project well and some card stock, Baker's Twine and Adhesive but it really came together quickly. The "carrot" is cut out with Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and then folded and sealed along the edge creating a pocket for our treats. I cut out two Lucky Limeade Scallop Pieces (also on the die) and on the front one I cut between every other scallop to give it a more dimensional look. That was attached to the back flap of the carrot and the front flap was folded down. There is a banner on the die also and I cut one out and then cut it in half and stamped the Happy Easter in Basic Gray and attached it to the carrot with the Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine and a Glue Dot to hold it in place. I filled these with chocolate bunnies and sold these at the Ladies Day Out at the YWCA. If you need a few treat containers these they are quick and easy and I still have a few leftover that if you are local I would be happy to sell you either with or without the candy. Warm Winter Wishes

Good evening, I thought this would be an appropriate post for us since we have a fresh coat of snow in our area. School Treats

Good evening, I have a lot to share with you over the next few days. I want to share one last Halloween post before I head into Christmas and Thanksgiving. I was in charge of the take home treats for my youngest son's class this year and what better set to use than Googly Ghouls and the Googlies Eyes. I stamped the treat bags with Jet Black Stazon and the retired White Stazon. The tags are made from Whisper White Card Stock, Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and Elegant Eggplant Card Stock. I stamped the images with Jet Black Stazon and colored them with a blender pen and Lucky Limeade, Elegant Eggplant and Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink. I used the Labels Collection Framelits to cut out the tags and texture was added with the Spider Web Embossing Folder. I thought about adding a boo sentiment to each but in the end kept them simple. Googlie Halloween Treat

Good morning, sorry for not posting this treat early. When you order the Ghoulish Googlies Kit you will receive both oval and circle tags. I used the circle tag to make these cute little pixie stick holders. You will need the Jet Black Staz On, 1"x8" Cellophane Bags, Pumpkin Pie Card Stock, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle, and Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine. I stamped the spider on the tag and the cellophane bag with the Jet Black Stazon and the rest is assembly. Snail the tag to  your Scallop Circle add you Bakers Twine through the hole and then add your tag to the cellophane bag with a Dimensional. These would be a great project for kids to help with. I should have added Googlie Eyes to my spider before I took the picture but oops I forgot. Will do it before I give it away. Thanks for stopping by today. Wicked Treats for Stamp Club

Good morning, I hope you had a nice weekend. The weather was great and I did get out and enjoy it a bit but I also did some stamping so I have new projects to share with you. The first one is a club project for this week. It starts with our new 1"x 8" Cellophane Bags. You get 50 for only $2.50 and they are great for Halloween, Christmas, Valentines Day and so much more. We stamped bats from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set with Jet Black Stazon on the front of the Cellophane Bag to add some Halloween Fun. After the Stazon dried we added the Smarties Candy and started decorating the tag. The bags are self sealing but I wanted to add a bit more interest so the top is tied shut with Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. Then to make the tag we used the have a WICKED halloween also from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set and inked it up with the Basic Black and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers stamped on Whisper White Card Stock and punched it out with the 1" Circle Punch. We used the 1 1/4" Circle Punch to punch out Cajun Craze Card Stock and the Curly Label Punch to punch out the Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper. We layered them then attached it to our Ribbon to finish off the Treat Bag. Halloween Treats!

Hello and thanks for stopping by, I have a fun Halloween treat container for you today and it is so simple to make with the help of the Big shot and a few punches. This container uses the Milk Carton Die and was demonstrated at Convention but after making my first one it just made me think of a pumpkin so I had to make another one. I love this idea and thank you to who ever thought of it. You will need to cut two milk carton and then cut off one panel on each. The panel without the tab please. Then just attach the two cartons together using the tabs and fold in the bottoms add some Sticky Strip and you are done unless you want a jack-o-lantern then you need Basic Black Card Stock, the Wide Oval Punch and the Pennant Builders Punch. I used each of the punches for either the mouth or the eyes. I will take some pictures of the punching process and add those later so you have an idea of how it get the shapes you need. I added a 4x6" Cellophane bag filled with candy and tied the bag off with our fun, new Dotted Scallop Edge Ribbon in Basic Black. The bow makes me think of a little girl Jack-o-lantern or would would it be a Jill-o-lantern,. :) These would make great treat bags for school or those favorite little trick or treaters that should stop by and after the candy it gone they can use the container for other things like pencils or crayons. We will be making a similar container at club this week so Club Members will get to see first hand out easy these are to make. Well, that is it for today. Valentine Treat Box

Good morning! Well, the snow has started early here so I may not be taking pictures of birthday cards like I originally planned today but I do have a few more to finish up so I can at least stamp. :) Today 's post is a super quick Valentine Treat Box that we made at Saturday's class. It used the Filled with Love Bundle and a few extra Big Shot items. Love the Big Shot and how easy it makes my life. If you don't have one then Sale-a-bration is a great time to get one because you will get free merchandise just for ordering it. But back to the treat box. The die I used is Bitty Box and Envelope Bigz XL Die in Pretty In Pink. You will need a Crease Pad for this die. The box holds four Hershey Nuggets inside which we decorated with the Real Red and Pretty In Pink Designer Series Paper that comes in the Bundle. On the top of the box we added a Real Red Layer of Designer Series Paper. The heart is stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with the Pretty In Pink Classic Ink Pad. Before we stamped we inked up the solid heart with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker, then stamped. If you are making multiple hearts remember to clean your stamp each time or you will transfer Real Red ink onto your Pretty In Pink Pad. The heart is punched out with the Full Heart Punch then layered on the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die which was made with Early Espresso Card Stock. I love the delicate scalloped edge on the die. It adds just a little extra to the box. These boxes are super easy to make and you can get two from a single sheet of card stock which makes them great for school or work. Reindeer Food

Good afternoon! When I made this cute little basket last week I had no idea that it would be part of our Online Spectacular. What a great bonus treat. When my kids were younger we started a tradition thanks to my oldest son's preschool teachers' (Thanks, Miss Holly and Miss Kelly) to leave Reindeer Food sprinkled on our lawn to help them find their way to our house. The food consisted of Oatmeal and colored glitter. Well, we have since switched to colored sprinkles to be a little more environmentally friendly but the idea is still the same. I thought it would be cute to make a way to share this tradition with others. I cut the Real Red Card Stock with the Baskets and Blooms Bigz XL Die (which is on sale this week for $27.97) and the Big Shot. I used the same die and the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Paper to make the band around the bottom of the basket. Then I added a strip of Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Fabric ( which is only $4.98 this week) around the handle. I love how the fabric and paper coordinate. To finish off the basket I made a tag from a Baja Breeze Scallop Circle Punch, Blushing Bride Circle Punch and a cute little reindeer stamped with Early Espresso from the Jolly Bingo Bits Stamp Set. I colored in the reindeer's nose with the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker to make him look more like Rudolph. Inside is the Reindeer Food. Simple and the basket is big enough to hold hot chocolate and a few extra's to give as gifts as well. Halloween Treat for Club

Good morning, wow this has been a busy week! First I want to thank everyone that scheduled a workshop this week during Stampin'UP!'s Book-a-thon. We reached our goal of 5000 workshops booked during that day. Amazing! If you would still like to schedule a little craft time for you and your friends it is not to late. Simply give me a call and I will get you on my schedule. This week is Stamp Club week so I thought I would share one of the projects that we are doing. This is a treat container that I learned from my upline years ago and I did show it on my blog last Halloween but we had not made them at club before. The base is a 8"x4" sheet of Pumpkin Pie Card Stock. We used the Fang-tastic Stamp Set to decorate the container. The ribbon is 1/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon and the punches used were the Modern Label Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch and the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch. We used Blender Pens to color in the cute little Witch with Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink Pads and the Blush Blossom Stampin' Write Marker. The witch and the sentiment were stamped with Jet Black Stazon.

Easter Treats

Hello, after a super busy weekend I am home and ready to do some stamping now if I just could get caught up on everything so I could stamp. I just had to make something to share with you today so I made this super cute quick and easy Bitty Box that would be great for Easter Treats. To make this treat box you will need the Big Shot, Stampin'Up! Bitty Box & Envelope Bigz XL Die, Sticky Strip, Shades of Spring Designer Series Paper(or any Designer Series Paper), Well Scripted Stamp Set, Orchid Opulence Classic Stampin' Pad, Wide Oval Punch, Whisper White Card Stock, So Saffron Card Stock, Eyelet Border Punch, Crimper, Stampin'Up! Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die. After make the box it is scored and ready to assemble. A little sticky strip holds the sides together. I stamped the Happy Easter on Whisper White then punched it out with the Wide Oval Punch. The So Saffron ruffle around the Wide Oval Punch was made by using the Eyelet Border Punch on the card stock then crimping the card stock. I added sticky strip to the oval then formed the So Saffron Card Stock around the oval to make the ruffle. The butterflies were made with more of the Shades Of Spring Designer Series Paper and then added to the box with Mini Glue Dots. These would also make cute party favors for birthdays, baby showers, weddings and so much more.

A Little Spring time!

Ok, I know that Spring time seems a long way off especially with all the snow we are currently getting but it will arrive at some point, right? I sure hope this is the last of the snow until next winter, I am personally sick of the white stuff, but lets move onto the card and more cheerful thoughts. After finding out that the Heart Treat Cups and coordinating stamp set were going to stay around for a while I just couldn't resist making this cute card. The design is pretty basic and I might add a sentiment but I haven't quite decided yet. I again added a secret door in the card to get the M&M's out. Who wants to tear up a pretty card just to get the chocolate out but you don't want chocolate to go to waste either. Valentine's Treats

Good afternoon! Now that Christmas is over it is time to start thinking about Valentine's Day. I know it is month's away it seems but if you are like me and like to help your children make all of their school Valentine's then early is always better. Another reason for today's Valentine's Treat is that this set is currently in the Holiday Mini which you can only buy from until January 4. When this set came out I just had to have it. I love the idea of adding a little treat in a person's card. Who wouldn't love a little chocolate with their card? Well the first card I made was a Halloween card and after making it a realized that you would have to tear apart the card to get to the treat. After making some one a card you really don't want them to have to destroy it. So on this Valentine Treat I modified the design a bit and you can get the candy out through a simple hole in the back. Let me give you the ingredients first: Rich Razzleberry Card Stock (115316), Soft Suede Card Stock (115318), Whisper White Card Stock (100730), Melon Mambo Textured Card Stock (115719), Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker, Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker, Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Marker (all the In Color Markers are together 116329), Sweet Centers Stamp Set (116521), Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set(115370), Sweet Treat Cups (116802), 1 3/4" Circle Punch (112004), 1 3/8 Circle Punch (104401), Round Tab Punch (108340), Sticky Strip (104294) and SNAIL Adhesive.
Okay now back to the card. I made the base of the card a simple 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" card out of Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. Then I stamped the heart on Whisper White Card Stock. I inked up each area with the Stampin' Write Markers. Then I punched out the I heart U with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and put that part aside for later. I then used the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and repunched out the previous circle. After I had my Circle punched I added a layer of Soft Suede Card Stock behind the stamped image. Since I wanted the hole to go all the way though the front of the card. I simply traced the circle onto the Soft Suede and base of the card and cut it out with our Paper Snips. To assemble the card. I first added the Sweet Treat Cup to the Soft Suede Card Stock being careful to line it up with the circle opening. Then I used SNAIL and added the Whisper White Card Stock stamped layer on top of the Soft Suede. Next I added Sticky Strip to the top, bottom and left side of the back of the Soft Suede Card Stock. This left the right side open. Attach to the front of the card again being careful to line up the openings. Next I made the pull out piece that holds the candy in place. It is Rich Razzleberry Card Stock with the sentiment that we set aside earlier and a Round Tab Punch to allow you to pull and release the candy. I also added a little sentiment in Soft Suede on the Round Tab Punch just for a little extra detail. I haven't added candy yet but because of the design that isn't a problem because I can always add it later.

No Big Shot Required Part 2

Happy Tuesday! I am back today with more projects that don't require the Big Shot to make. Today's projects are again ones that I learned from my upline before I became a demonstrator. Thanks, Amy! The first treat container are the triangle ones shown at the right. To make these you need a piece of card stock 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2", then mark the edges of the 4 1/4" side in the middle. Score from the middle mark to the outside edge of the center score line making a triangle, repeat on the other three sides. Below is a picture of what your card stock will look like after scoring.
The next step is to add ribbon at the top to hold all your candy inside and then decorate. I used the Hostess set Holiday Best (115364) which is a level one and available for free just for buying $150 or hosting a workshop that totals $150 in merchandise sales. I inked up the image with the Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers then punched the image out with the Scallop Oval Punch and layered it on the Wide Oval Punch. On one of the treat triangles I used Cast-A-Spell Designer Series Paper and on the other I randomly stamped Jack-o-lanterns from the Family Accessories Stamp
Set (113494).

The second project for today is called a Sour Cream Container as it looks like the sour cream containers you sometimes get at restaurants. I love making these as they are very easy and require no scoring. I made two different sizes but the size I prefer is 5 1/2x 8 1/2 which is half a sheet of card stock. The Perfect Plum Container is made with those measurements. Before making the container I randomly stamped candy corn and other candy from Tasty Sweet Stamp Set (111698) with Versamark. Versamark is a great first ink as it gives you a darker image or watermark on any color of card stock. After stamping I used the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and punched out a window and added a piece of Window Sheet with Sticky Strip. On the short side add Sticky Strip and attach it to the other short side giving you a tube. Pinch the bottom edges together to make a flat bottom. Add Sticky Strip inside to seal it shut. I also crimped the bottom edge to give it a more finished look. Fill with goodies, but not to full as it is hard to close if the container is to full. Pinch the top edges in the opposite direction of the bottom. With the Crop-a-dile punch two hole along the top, add ribbon and tie shut. I added a tag made from the Eat, Drink & Be Scary Stamp Set (111764) and the container is finished.

The other Sour Cream Container was made using the polka-a-dot Window Sheet from the new Night & Day Designer Series Specialty Paper. I added a scallop edge along the bottom to help hide the sticky strip and used the Halloween Definition from the Eat, Drink & Be Scary Stamp Set.

No Big Shot Required!

Happy Monday Morning! I hope that you all had a great weekend! Last week I shared with you a couple of treat containers that required the use of the Big Shot Die Cut Machine and while I will be the first to admit that I love my Big Shot I also realize that not all of you have one. (Let me know if you are interested in seeing how it works ;) , back to today's post sorry. For the next two days I will be sharing treat containers that do not require the Big Shot to make. These are by no means original ideas they have been around for as long as I have been stamping and that is a while. I will give you measurements and scoring instructions so you can also make these simple treat containers for all the spooks and goblins in your life.

The first project is a box with a flap closure commonly called a 2-5-7-10 box. Why you may ask well it is simply because it is scored at those measurements. You will need a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock. For this project I used Pumpkin Pie Card Stock (105117). On the 11" side you score at the 2", 5", 7", and 10" measurements then turn the card stock and score at the 1 1/2" and 6 1/2" measurements.

I have supplied you with a diagram of the box to help you understand my instructions for the next few steps. After scoring you will cut off the areas shown in white on my diagram. Leaving you with just what I have in orange. The score lines that go across the bottom will need to be cut up to the next score line to create the bottom flaps. Fold along all score lines and if you would like you can scallop the flap which is the only piece left on the top of the box. I scalloped the flap with the Scallop Edge Punch (112091). You can also stamp on your box before you assemble it. Place Sticky Strip (104294) on the 1" piece shown on the right side of my diagram. Fold the box and place the 1" flap inside the box attaching it to the other edge. This will form your box. Next fold the two short side edges into the bottom of the box and place Sticky Strip (104294) onto one of the two long Flaps, fold the one without Sticky Strip (104294) in then the one with the Sticky Strip(104294) to finish the bottom of your box. The box is now ready to decorate. I used the Halloween Hoot Stamp Set (111582) and colored the Witch with Basic Black (109126), Old Olive (100079), Perfect Plum (100035) Stampin'Write Markers before stamping her on Confetti White Card Stock (102028). I then masked the Witch and Stamped her sign with Chocolate Chip (100908) and Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink (105216). The Moon was stamped off once then stamped onto the card stock with Summer Sun Classic Ink (100537). The whole thing was layered on Basic Black Card Stock (102851) and I used the Crop-a-Dile (108362) to add hole in the flap and the front of the box and used 5/8" Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon (115605) to tie the box shut.

The next project is a little smaller. It is also a scored box but instead of closing at the top it is left open. I started with a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" sheet of Perfect Plum Card Stock (101889) and scored it at 2",4", 6" and 8" on the 8 1/2" side, along the 5 1/2" side I scored at 2". Cut on the 2", 4", 6" and 8" score lines up to the 2" line making the flaps for bottom of the box. The box will be about 3 1/2" tall. If you would like to scallop the top edge of the box you will need to do so before you fold the box up. Cut off the top and bottom extra flaps on the 1/2" side similar to the box above. Add Sticky Strip (104294) to the 1/2" flap and secure it to the other edge of the box. Fold the bottom flaps in and use Sticky Strip (104294) to hold the box together. I again used the Halloween Hoot Stamp Set and the Stampin'Write Markers to ink up the Frog and I couldn't resist using the Free Kisses Stamp that comes with the set. Inside the box is a Small Flat Cellophane Bag (103104) with what else but Hershey's Kisses of course. I tied the bag shut with 1/4 " Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon (109027).

Now you have the directions to make two treat containers that don't require the Big Shot. Tomorrow I will show you two other treat containers that are even easier to make.
