Christmas Time!

Hello! It is Friday and day two of Convention. I have two organized swaps today but I am only going to share my Christmas Card today. When the new catalog came out I fell in love with the Greeting Card Kids Stamp Set. It is just so vintage looking and the kids are super cute. This card uses a lot of layers, and accessories but I am thrilled at the way it turned out. It is time consuming but definitely worth it. So for the supplies, Crumb Cake Card Stock, Blushing Bride Card Stock, Riding Hood Red Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Greeting Card Kids Stamp Set, Four the Holidays Stamp Set, Basic Gray Classic Stamp Set, Riding Hood Red Classic Stamp Pad, Wild Wasabi Classic Stamp Pad, So Saffron Stampin' Write Marker, Blush Blossom Stampin' Write Marker, Chocolate Chip Classic Stamp Pad, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Scallop Circle #2 Die, 2 1/2 Circle cut with the Circle Scissors, Victoria Crochet Trim, Eyelet Border Punch, Crimper, Chunky Essentials Glitter White. I used both 2 way glue and Crystal Effects to attach the glitter. It is hard to see in the picture but I used shaved Very Vanilla Card Stock to add a fur like trim to her coat and hat. There are so many details in this card, I made 25 of them and it took most of a day, but I would do it again and I can't wait to get 25 new Christmas Cards to share with you. Scrappin' Halloween

Hello! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Yesterday I mentioned some Scrapbook pages that we had made the night before well today I am going to share those with you.
I will be the first to admit that I am way behind on my scrapbooking. I started stamping with the intentions to use it as a way to complete more scrapbook pages but also to have the color coordination that I really found lacking in other products, but after discovering the world of card making and Digital Photography I have found that I print less pictures. I would however love to change that and after making these two pages am eager to get some new Halloween pictures of my kiddos to finish this pages. So enough rambling from me and on to the pages. Both have similar layouts and start with 12x12 Perfect Plum Card Stock (107084). I love the fact that you can buy any of our 48 colors in 12 x 12 Card Stock! I used Sponge Daubers (102892) and sponged the edges of the Perfect Plum Card Stock with Perfect Plum Classic Ink (101437). Then I added a Pumpkin Pie Card Stock (107100) layer cut 6x12". On the Pumpkin Pie I used Versamark and stamped the bubbles from Halloween Hoot Stamp Set (111582). Halloween Hoot was the only stamp set used while making these pages. On both pages I added a 1"x 12" strip of Cast-a-Spell Designer Series Paper (115677). On the top page I also added 1/4" Black Grosgrain Ribbon (109027). Trick or Treat was cut out with the Big Shot and the Stampin' Up! Timeless Type Sizzlits Dies (115951). Having the Big Shot and a Alphabet set to use with it makes cutting out your titles so easy and you never have to worry about running out of a letter and with three J names at our house that is a big benefit! I added photo mats of various sizes in Old Olive Card Stock (100702). On the first page I cut out a circle with the Circle Scissor Plus (112530) and stamped the witch, sign and sentiment all with the Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049). They were colored with the Stampin' Write Markers in Basic Black (100082), Perfect Plum (100035), Old Olive (100079), Pumpkin Pie (105115), and Chocolate Chip (100071). On the second page I stamped with frog and cauldron with Stampin' Write Markers and cut them out and added them to the page with Stampin' Dimensionals. On the second page I also added a Whisper White Top Note for journalling. Both the circle and the top note were sponged with Perfect Plum Classic Ink. I added some Photo Corner (109042) Accents in Basic Black Card Stock (102851) and the pages are ready for pictures. Now if my kids Halloween costumes were ready for them.

Wild About You!

Today I am sharing with you another Stamp Club card from this week. I love the stamp set Wild About You (115110). I have used it several times for Kid's Birthday Cards, Baby Cards and even Valentine's Day Cards. It is a set that I will miss having in the catalog, because retiring this month. We used a 5 1/2"x 8 1/2" base of So Saffron Card Stock (105118) but before we folded it in half we scalloped the edge with the Scallop Edge Punch (112091). We then folded the base in half. This makes the card slightly smaller than usual but not enough to notice. I used the Sweet Slumber Specialty DSP (114037) this is also on the last chance list and only available while supplies last. After attaching the Sweet Slumber paper, we cut a 4" circle with the Circle Scissor Plus (112530) and So Saffron Card Stock. Because I love the Big Shot (113439) and just can't seem to not add a little texture to my cards. We texturized the circle with the small polka dots in the Stampin'Up! Backgrounds I (114512).

Now to the stamping, we stamped the elephant from Wild About You using Baja Breeze Classic Ink Pad (111833). We then masked the elephant. Masking is simply stamping your image in our case the elephant on a post it note then cutting out the image. After you have done this you place the post it note image over the image you just stamped on your card stock. Then you stamp a new image over part of the existing one. In our case we used the little flower also from Wild About You! and inking it up with the Ruby Red (100075) and Certainly Celery (105106) Stampin' Write Markers. By masking the image it looks like the elephant is holding the flower and the stem doesn't show were his trunk is. Hope all that makes sense to you.The elephant is then attached to a Ruby Red Card Stock (102030)mat and attached to the card with Dimensionals. The Sweet Little One is from the Holidays & Wishes Stamp Set (114984) also on the Last Chance List for this month. We stamped it on Whisper White with the Ruby Red Classic Ink Pad (102259). We used the Word Window Punch (105090) to punch the Sweet Little One out and attached it to the card with SNAIL adhesive and that is our second Stamp Club card.

Just a couple of reminders, first if you are interested in purchasing either of these stamp sets they are available until the end of June. Since Stampin'Up! makes it own stamp sets they will make more to fill orders until the end of June, while the accessories that are on the Last Chance List are only available while supplies last. Baseball and Birthdays

Good morning, it seems as if baseball and birthdays do go hand in hand around this household. We had another baseball game last night with baseball practices and another game today. That is if the weather cooperates with us. My youngest DS is going to his first friend birthday party today and since the two boys play on the same baseball team I just had to pull out my Sporting Stamp Set (115072) and Just Baseball (115002), since I bought these two sets they have been my go to sets for all boy cards. Now I know that not all boys play baseball which is why we have Just Surfing (115012), Just Soccer (115010), Just Football (115006), Just Basketball (115004) and Just Riding (115008). I really think we have the sports covered. I started the card with a base of Pacific Point Card Stock (111350), added a mat of Basic Black Card Stock (102851) and since I still had the Good Morning Sunshine Designer Series Paper (113966) out on my workspace I decided to use it also. I stamped the sentiments and star from the Sporting Stamp Set all over the Good Morning Sunshine DSP with Versamark (102283) and poured the Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder (109130) on the versamark. I used my Heat Tool (100005) to emboss the images. I decided to use a technique that we were taught at Regionals last fall. I used the Pacific Point Classic Ink Pad (111837) and Stampin Sponges (101610) and sponged ink all over the designer paper. This allows the embossed images to pop as I cover the design on the paper. The embossing resists the ink and the designer paper shows through. I didn't completely cover the paper so that some of the image does show through but rather it is more subtle. Using the Circle Scissor Plus (112530) and the Glass Mat (112531) I cut a circle out of Whisper White Card Stock (100730). I created the baseball by hand drawing the stitch lines on with the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker (100052). I then used Black Stazon (101406) and the Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049) to stamp All Star onto the baseball. The baseball bat was stamped on Close to Cocoa Card Stock (101341) with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink Pad (100908). The hat was stamped with Green Galore Classic Ink Pad (102122) on Whisper White Card Stock. Both were cut out using Paper Snips (103579). I used Stampin' Dimensionals (104430) to mount all the images to the Good Morning Sunshine DSP . After I attached the DSP to the basic black card stock I used Mat Pack (105826) and pierced the right bottom corner were I wanted the Black Brads. They are in the Vintage Brad Collection (109109). I used three on the corner then I attached the Basic Black Card Stock to the Pacific Point Base. I put the brads on first so that they didn't show through on the inside of the card. After looking at the card I decided it needed something in the upper right corner so I added a Photo Corners Punch (109042) punched in Basic Black Card Stock and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. I am not 100% sure that I like the corner but it will stay that way.

Bambi and Thumper

When the Occasions Mini came out and I saw this set I immediately fell in love with it. It reminded me so much of Bambi and his friend Thumper that I started calling it just that. The Bambi and Thumper Set. Now of course the real name is Forest Friends but to me it will always be Bambi and Thumper. These cards were started some time ago and like so often happens they were set aside and not finished. Fast forward to today. After creating six Mother's Day cards last week my room was a mess. DD had of course been creating to but I must admit she is much better about cleaning up than her dear old mom . As I was cleaning I came across the deer and the Bashful Blue Bib so I thought a card was in order. I quickly decided to keep it simple and used just a Whisper White base. The card is a simple 4x4" card just perfect for giving with a gift. I used the Scallop Circle #2 Die with the Big Shot to cut out the Bibs. Then I used the Wide Oval Punch to cut out a section to give it the bib look. I textured both the bibs with the Stampin'UP Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates and the Big Shot. The So Saffron Circle that is layered behind the deer is made with the Circle Scissor Plus. This is such and easy tool for making circles. I used my circle punches to punch out the stamped images and then also the bashful blue circle. The sentiment is from Holidays & Wishes. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to get is just right on the bottom corner of the card.

I had originally wanted to use this set for the Baby Shower Invites that I recently did but after seeing the napkin I went in a totally different direction. I

do think these will be perfect for my cousin's baby gift. Hopefully she doesn't take a peak at my blog. DD and I have also decided to make a Diaper Cake as a center piece for the shower so stay tuned for pictures of it later this month. As always thank you for stopping by. Oval All Class Card 2

Good afternoon, as promised I am back with a second post today. If you look closely on this card though you will notice that the creator of this card was not me but rather my DD. She was helping me make cards on Wednesday and came up with this one that I thought needed to be in my upcoming Oval All Class. All supplies on this card are Stampin'UP and while it looks like a lot of work it is pretty easy because of our great punches and the Circle Scissor Plus. The sentiment was stamped twice once in So Saffron, then cleaned and inked with BajaBreeze, but before Kaylee stamped it she used the Stampin' Write Markers and colored the Just For in Cameo Coral and the You in Old Olive. She then huffed (breathed lightly to remoisten) on the stamp and stamped it on Whisper White. Both stamped images where then punched out with the Large Oval or the Scallop Oval Punches. She used almost all the circle punches to create the various circles on the card. The edge of the card was scallop punched and a BajaBreeze piece of card stock was added. What you can't see is that the BajaBreeze piece is scalloped on the inside also to add an finished edge. Well, the kids are home today so I don't think much stampin' will get done but we will see. Birthday Cards for Boys

Having three boys it always seems that I am in need of birthday cards for boys. My boys however like to wait until the day before or the day of a party to let me know that they have one. So card making time is usually limited and since I really like to make a card with a person in mind I don't tend to make blank cards in advance. Another fun thing I like to do is match the card to the wrapping paper that we are using. This takes the place of a bow and since I used a clear envelope everyone can see the card. So onto the recipe of the card. I started with a base of Pacific Point then added a Basic Black layer. I used another layer with Pacific Point Patterns Designer Series Paper. I used the new Circle Scissor Plus to cut out a Whisper White Circle which I turned into a Baseball with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker. I pulled out my Sporting Stamp Set and Just Baseball Stamp Set and stamped the bat and the All Star which goes along with the wrapping paper. After I cut out the bat I used dimensionals to pop it up. The finishing touch was the Green Galore Star that I punched out with our Large Star Punch. The birthday boy enjoyed it from what I was told and my DS thought it was just the perfect card for his friend.
