Frosty Friends

Good morning! It is feeling a little chilly out this morning but not quite cold enough for these little Frosty Friends. We made this card last week at Stamp Club and it is such a hit in our family that we maybe using it as one of our personal Christmas Cards. The layout is cased from the Holiday Catalog with a few changes here and there. The base is Cherry Cobbler with texture added with the Snow Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used Shimmer Paint in Frost White and Rubbing Alcohol to give the base just a bit of shimmer and sparkle. The Designer Paper is the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Pack. If you haven't checked this paper pack out you are missing a great group of designer papers. I really like them and you get four of each design which is great for your card making. We added Pool Party Baker's Twine around the card and added a bow to the side before adding our main image. The Frosty Friends and the Merry Christmas which is from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set were stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with Jet Black Stazon. The image was cut out with the Big Shot and the Apothecary Accents Framelits and then colored with a Blender Pen and the following Ink colors: Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie. Three Little Gingerbread Men

Hello! So glad you stopped by today and I am excited to have a new Christmas card to share with you. I had a Christmas Card Class and this is one of the cards we made. I love the cute little gingerbread men and they have a framelit to match which means no fussy cutting. We used two stamp sets on this card, Teeny Tiny Wishes and Scentsational Seasons which you can get either by itself or in the bundle with the Holiday Collection Framelits Dies which I recommend because you not only save money. Only two ink pads are needed for this card Eary Espresso and Gumball Green and the card stock is Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Gumball Green with a little bit of Be A Good Cheer Designer Series Paper. The Decorative Label Punch was used to punch out the sentiment. The texture along the bottom was added with the Big shot and Delicate Designs Folder and then we used the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die to create the scallop piece in Gumball Green. Season Greetings Catalog Case

This last few weeks I have been working on Christmas Cards and while flipping through the catalog I noticed the card on page 18 that used the Snow Swirled Stamp Set and decided to case it. I changed up the colors but the rest is the same or at least as much as I could tell from the picture. I used Baja Breeze, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White. There is a lot of bling on this card with Basic Rhinestones on each snowflake and the glittery edge made with Sticky Strip and Dazzling Diamonds. The sentiment is punched out with the Extra Large Oval Punch and then the banner is made with the Bitty Banners Framelits and cut in half. Can you see the texture behind the sentiment? That was made with the Designer Frames Folders. There are two shapes to this set the oval and the rectangle that I used on the Cherry Christmas Tree Card.  After making the card I however decided it wasn't quite right for my Christmas Card Classes. Lucky Limeade Christmas Card

Hello, what a wishy washy day we are having. The sun can't decide if it wants to shine or not and while that makes it not a great day to take pictures it does make it a great day to stay in and stamp. I hope to do some of that later this afternoon. In the mean time I have a card to share with you that will be included in next weeks Christmas Card Class. I cased the layout from an old swap card I recently came across but there was no name on the back. The Snow Swirled stamp set is an older one but one that I still enjoy using. I used Lucky Limeade for the base and added snow flakes with the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad. The sentiment is stamped with Early Espresso and the tree is stamped with Lucky Limeade before I added some bling with the Rhinestone Basic Jewels that I colored with a marker. I used the Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper and the tree is on a Early Espresso Tag made from the Two Tags Bigz Die. Cheerful Christmas Tree

Hello, the week is flying by as usual and I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. Sorry about that, but I do have a card to share with you today. This card is full of details and is one that we made last week at club. I am also going to be doing a similiar layout at next weeks Christmas card class. The colors are Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Primrose Petals, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake. The Designer Series paper is Be a Good Cheer it is a fun paper that I have enjoyed using on several projects. The stamp set is Scentsational Season which I purchases in the Scentsational Season Bundle with the Holiday Collection Framelits Dies. There are several other Big Shot dies including the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die, and the Designer Frames Folders. To add just a bit of sparkle to the Christmas Tree I used Silver Glimmer Paper and the Ribbon is the 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon.

This is a card we made for Stamp Club this week. It uses Realy Red, Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso and Primrose Petal. Clean and Simple Christmas Card

Hello and Good morning, today I want to share with you a card we did last week at Stamp club. This card layout is cased straight from the Holiday Mini. I used Real Red, Garden Green and Whisper White Card Stock and Garden Green Classic Ink. I have a weakness for the Embossing Folders and when I saw the Holiday Frame Folder in the Holiday Mini I knew that it would be on my first order. To make the folder really pop I used the new Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad and a Sponge Dauber to illuminate the embossed areas. It gives it a nice pearl like affect and makes the frame really pop. The ornament is from the Ornament Keepsake Bundle and was added with Dimensionals then I added a  Real Red Tafetta ribbon Bow to the top of the ornament. This card would make a great elegant Christmas card. You could also use two way glue and Dazzling Diamonds on the frame to make is shimmer and shine. Gift Card Holder

Good morning, sorry for not getting back to you yesterday. I had 300 cards to finish up for this weekend and I decided to just get busy and get them all done. I am happy to have them finished and even happier with the

way they turned out. I will show them to you at a later date as they are an order for a Women's Group and I want them to give them out first. Today I want to share with you a stocking we did at club last week. It is very similar to the one I showed you last week except when you look inside there is a place of a Gift Card. It was easy to make just by adding another Stocking inside and using the Word Window Punch to make the slot for the gift card to slide into. The most important part is to add you sticky strip to the back with the gift card in place as a guide to show you were to put and not put the sticky strip. This stocking has a gift tag on the front so you can hang it on your tree and everyone will know just who it is for. The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Old Olive. Such a great traditional color combo and the Designer Series Paper is Letters to Santa. Please let me know if you want to order the supplies for this project. Serene Greetings

Good morning, I had some time to not only stamp but post. Amazing isn't it! Today's card is one that we did last night at the YWCA's Ladies Night Out. I really enjoyed spending time with all the ladies that attended and teaching them about Stampin'Up! and how to make Christmas cards. There were probably 40 or more ladies there so it was a pretty big event. The card uses Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake and Not Quite Navy. I really like the color combo and it is pretty quick to make. There are several punches including the Snowflake Punch, Scallop Oval Punch and the Scallop Trim Edge Punch. The ribbon is 1/4" Marina Mist Grosgrain Ribbon. If you would like to make this your Christmas Card give me a call and I will be more than happy to help you with your supply order. Bingo Bits

Good morning, today I am going to share the final card for the Christmas Card Class. This card uses the Jolly Bingo Bits Stamp Set and the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. It also uses an assortment of punches including the 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/8 Square Punches as well as the Decorative Label Punch. The colors are Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Whisper White and Crumb Cake. We used the Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the bell, poinseitta and the ornament. I just realized that my poinseitta is green not sure why I did it that way. I think I will change that on this card. Sorry I guess I wasn't thinking when I made the card. The Crumb Cake has texture added with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. This card is pretty simple to make and with the help of the punches it goes together quickly. It also mails easily without ribbon knots to worry about. I am going to take pictures of the Halloween project I made the other day and will post it later today. Hand Penned Christmas

Good evening, thought I would show you another one of the Christmas cards close up and give you a supply list. This card uses two new sets the Hand Penned Holidays set and the Pines & Poinsettias Stamp Set. The colors are Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke. I used the Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the pine cones and poinsettias before stamping them. The pine cones were punched out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on the Always Artichoke. The texture on the front of the card was added by using the Big Shot and the Perfect Details Texturz Plates. I did add a inside panel to this card too since the color is so dark and hard to write on but I didn't get a picture of it. Sorry. Tomorrow I will be sharing a Halloween project then I have a Wedding Invite to share with you that I just completed for a Wedding Swap that I am participating in. Cute Little Stockings

Hello and good afternoon. I am back with another project to share with you. We made this for my Christmas Card Class last week and while it isn't your traditional Christmas colors I do think it is a fun card. The stamp set is the new Stitched Stockings and we used the coordinating Stocking Builder Punch to punch out the three stockings. Each was stamped on whisper white card stock with Real Red, Baja Breeze or Pink Pirouette Classic Ink. The base of the card is Baja Breeze and there is also Baja Breeze Seam Binding used for the card. The Whisper White panel has some added texture thanks to the new Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Scallop Trim is made with Real Red and Pink Pirouette Designer Series Patterns Paper and the Tasteful Trim Die. By adding just a few Basic Rhinestones this card has just the right amount of sparkle. Of course you can change the colors to a more traditional colors. Wow 4 Days!

Wow I can't believe how quickly the last four days have flown by and I really had planned to post sooner but there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. I will do one of the Christmas Cards that we made last week and show you something new tomorrow. This card uses Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Blushing Bride as the main colors. The stamp set is Fun & Festive and is from the Holiday Mini. I stamped with Basic Gray and colored with a Blender Pen. The Designer Series Paper is Letters to Santa and I added texture with the Big Shot and the Petals-a-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. To make the Scallop Rectangle I used the Scallop Square #2 Die and cut a square first then put the square back on the die but moved the bottom scallop down one and cut it off making the square a rectangle. I will take a few pictures to explain that better tomorrow when there is daylight. Until then I am off to bed to get some sleep. We have another busy day tomorrow and I have Wedding Invites to finish for a Swap I am taking part in. They are about half finished as I did all the scoring and cutting tonight. Christmas Card Class

The Stockings Were Hung!

Ok, ok, I am not hanging Stockings yet but I am thinking about Christmas Cards and what design we might use this year at our house. Now I must say after thinking about this card a bit I think I would add a some baker's twine to the top of the Real Red Card Stock around the folded section but for now this will have to do and I might do some more shading on the fireplace. The things I think of after the card is finished and pictures have been taken. I received the new Stitched Stocking Stamp Set yesterday and the coordinating Stocking Builder Punch and just couldn't resist inking it up. I Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive and Real Red with just a touch of Soft Suede for sponging. Each stocking was inked with the Stampin' Write Markers and then punched from Confetti White Card Stock. I ran a piece of Real Red Card Stock through the Big Shot with the new Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and my main image was taking shape. I punched the bottom of the Real Red with the Scallop Edge Punch to add just a bit of interest. To each stocking I added a few Mini Jingle Bells. I love these. They are so tiny and cute and each to attach with a Mini Glue Dot. They will require that you use a special mailer to send them out postal but for tags and hand delivered cards they are to cute and you get 48 for only 2.95. That is a great deal. I used Teeny Tiny Wishes for the Merry Christmas and punched it with the Word Window Punch. The Pear Pizzazz base looked a little to bland so I added a piece of Letters To Santa Designer Series Paper that added just enough interest to the background to finish off the card. Christmas Box

Good afternoon, it is a beautiful day out today which makes it so much easier to take pictures of new projects. Today I have a project that I received from Stampin'UP! for having a new recruit join my team during July. My new team member also received one as did a few of my other team members who had new members join their team. So this Christmas box uses some new products that won't be available until Septemeber 1 but that is of course right around the corner so I decided to go ahead and share. The stamp set is the new Pines & Poinsettias Set and I am sure that you will be seeing more Christmas projects with it very soon and through out the season. There is also the new Holly Berry Designer Series Paper, Fabric and buttons. It maybe hard to see in the picture but there is Champagne Fine Galaxy Stampin' Glitter all over the box to add extra shimmer. It may be hard to see in the picture but the sides have Basic Pearls added around the base on the Wild Wasabi Card Stock. This is one of the more details projects that I have done recently but I really love how it turned out and can't wait to display it during Christmas. :)

A Dashing Christmas

Good afternoon! Maybe another Christmas card will help you forget that the weather is HOT! Trying thinking about Snow and how much colder it will be in a few months or if all else fails stay inside and stamp in the nice a/c. ;) Today's card is the final card from the Christmas in July Card Class. This base of the card is Soft Suede and we used Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler Card Stock on the rest of the card. The two stamps used are Dasher which is a A la Carte Stamp and Teeny Tiny Wishes. The base is texturized with the Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. It has some sparkle added with the Frost White Shimmer Paint and the Basic Rhinestones. Dasher was stamped with Soft Suede Classic Stamp pad and then we used 2 way glue and Dazzling Diamonds to add some sparkle at his feet and on his antlers too. The Merry Christmas was stamped with Cherry Cobbler then punched out with the Word Window punch to finish off the card. This card would be an easy card to mass produce and have for all of your family and friends. Pennant Parade Christmas

Good afternoon, this week is flying by and I have a lot on my to do list so I am going to keep this short. Today's card is such a fun and easy one to make and we will be making it tomorrow night at my Christmas In July Card Class. I haven't started cutting yet so if you let me know by tonight I can still add you to the class. The base is Wild Wasabi and the other colors I used were Poppy Parade and Early Espresso. The stamp set is Pennant Parade which is included in the July $99 Special Kit. Contact me if you would like to purchase your kit and get all the wonderful supplies that go with it. Plus I have lots of ideas for the stamp sets that are in the kit that will get you off and stamping. I used Stampin Write Markers for the tree bases and then used the Classic Ink pad to stamp the tree and punch them out with the new Petite Pennants Builder Punch. I also used the cut little Jewelry Tag punch for the merry that is hanging from the Early Espresso Bakers Twine. For Big Shot items I used the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder and the Scallop Square Duo. This is another card that would be great to mass produce even if you didn't have the Big Shot as the Poppy Parade Card Stock could be left square and not scalloped and the card would be just as cute. Christmas in July

Good morning, I know that across much of the country there is a heat wave and we too are affected by it here in the Midwest but I am holding my Christmas in July Card Class this Friday and maybe the thought of Christmas will help cool us off. This card is a case from the Catalog except the sample in the catalog is a framed art piece and I wanted a simple card. There is only one stamp set used and the supplies are pretty simple too. Jolly Green Quilt

Good morning, well I braved the crowds and went shopping last night at midnight and got home around 4:30 this morning. I didn't do a lot of shopping just two stores. Most of my time was spent waiting for the next store to open. :) I did start my Christmas shopping so that is great. It isn't to late to take advantage of the great online deals that Stampin'UP! is having this week. I am going to go through the list a purchase some of the My Digital Studio Downloads, Designer Series Fabric and Big Shot Dies. I love the fabric and am out of the Deck the Halls Fabric and need a little more to finish a project I will share with you next week. Now for the card, I made this card a while ago when I made the other quilt card but I had forgot to show you. This card was inspired by a swap card I received at Convention from Sue Ring. I used the same stamp set and Designer Series Paper but really that is it for the similarities. After I made my card I did see a card similar to this on Josee Smuck so their are other Quilt Cards out there that might look the same. The base is Old Olive Card Stock, with a Quilt Top Note made with Jolly Holiday DSP that has been texturized with the Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I made a Scallop Circle out of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock and stamped the sentiment on Very Vanilla Card Stock with Jet Black Stazon. I used the Aquapainter and the Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Classic Ink Pad to color in the Christmas Ornament then I punched out the image with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch. I added a little Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon and the card is complete. This is a easy card to make and would make a great Christmas card if you haven't designed your all ready. Perhaps like me. It is on my list along with decorating for Christmas and baking some cookies. Sunday if you are in the area be sure and stop by my house for my Gift Giving Open House.
