Butterfly Bag!

I have been sewing again and with the orders that I have right now I will be doing even more. This bag is the same size as the Baseball Bag that I showed you yesterday with a definite girl look. I love the look of this fabric and since it features butterflies, I just couldn't resist adding a butterfly pin to the bag. Now it is a little hard to see so I have a close up for you. I used two different sizes of butterflies made with the Stampin'Up! Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. This die will also easily cut through fabric and the batting. I hand stitched the butterflies and then stitched them together and added pink beads from the Pink Duo Beads. I really think this is a nice touch and the pin can be removed and added to a hat, headband or shirt. The bag is made with the Clear Scallop Square Die and the Big Shot. Finished Baseball Bag

Good afternoon! What a beautiful day we are having here. It makes me think that spring has arrived and in our house that means baseball. I showed you the start of my Baseball bag the other day and today I can show you the completed project. This is a BIG bag and would be perfect for groceries as well as for sporting events. I even added a pocket inside to hold my keys or cell phone and since it is made from denim it should be extra strong. Really it is the same as the other rag quilt bags I have made before just larger. Easter Treats

Hello, after a super busy weekend I am home and ready to do some stamping now if I just could get caught up on everything so I could stamp. I just had to make something to share with you today so I made this super cute quick and easy Bitty Box that would be great for Easter Treats. To make this treat box you will need the Big Shot, Stampin'Up! Bitty Box & Envelope Bigz XL Die, Sticky Strip, Shades of Spring Designer Series Paper(or any Designer Series Paper), Well Scripted Stamp Set, Orchid Opulence Classic Stampin' Pad, Wide Oval Punch, Whisper White Card Stock, So Saffron Card Stock, Eyelet Border Punch, Crimper, Stampin'Up! Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die. After make the box it is scored and ready to assemble. A little sticky strip holds the sides together. I stamped the Happy Easter on Whisper White then punched it out with the Wide Oval Punch. The So Saffron ruffle around the Wide Oval Punch was made by using the Eyelet Border Punch on the card stock then crimping the card stock. I added sticky strip to the oval then formed the So Saffron Card Stock around the oval to make the ruffle. The butterflies were made with more of the Shades Of Spring Designer Series Paper and then added to the box with Mini Glue Dots. These would also make cute party favors for birthdays, baby showers, weddings and so much more.

Baseball Bag

Good morning, I mentioned in one of my previous post that I have been sewing again. I have three projects currently in the works but since the other two are for someone else I won't share those at this time, but I do have a new bag that I am making for me. This bag is going to be my baseball bag. Baseball practices start this week and of course with three boys in the house we will have a lot of baseball games to attend and I wanted a big bag to handle all the things I need to take. Since I often help by keeping the books for at least one team if not two I wanted the bag big enough for my books, pens, pencils, water bottles and cell phone. This bag has a inside pocket just for my cell phone or car keys which will be nice. I haven't finished it yet but I thought I would give you a sneak peak. The material is just old jeans and then the baseball fabric that I found at a local store. I used the Clear Scallop Square die to cut them all out and they have a square of batting between each set. The bag is going to be four squares by four squares on the front and back with the sides being two squares by four squares. This is the biggest bag that I have made thus far and since this picture was taken I have got all but the straps on the bag so I should be ready to show you the completed bag early this week.

Another Sale-a-bration Set!

The base of the card is Tempting Turquoise Card Stock and I also used Summer Sun, Pink Passion, Green Galore and Whisper White Card Stock. I used the Stampin' Write Markers in the same colors to ink up my stamps. If you look closely you will see Polka Dots on the card stock base. I used the Stampin'Up! Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder and the Big Shot to make these. It is so quick and easy! Fun Flower Card!

Hello! After making the felt basket yesterday I started thinking about making a card with the same colors and basic idea, so I started on this simple 3 1/4x 3 1/4" card this morning then while I was blog hopping I came across a wonderful idea by Heather Summers for a progressive card. Now I had made progressive scrapbook pages but never a card so this idea seemed like fun and I turned my 3 1/4 x 3 1/4" card into a full 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card. Nothing to complicated about either card. The supplies I used were Melon Mambo Card Stock, Tempting Turquoise Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Melon Mambo Patterns Designer Series Paper, Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad, Filigree Designer Brads, Silver Brads, Stampin'Up! Baskets and Blooms Bigz XL Die, Big Shot, Mat Pack, Paper-Piercing Tool, Scallop Trim Border Punch, and Thank you Kindly Stamp Set (which is free until March 31 with a $50 purchase). I did do a little sponging on the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" Melon Mambo Card Stock base just to give it a more finished look. I hope you enjoyed the cards today and maybe you will be inspired to try a progressive card like I was. I am off to clean up my work area before starting on a sewing project and a couple of other things for upcoming events. Fun Felt Basket!

Hello sorry for being so quiet this weekend, but we were out of town for my daughter's last gymnastics meet. I will admit that I was and will be a little sad but I am excited for her as she gets ready for high school and all that it entails. Now about today's project since that is what you stop by here for right. I have been wanting to make a Big Shot project with felt for a while now but had not found the time until today at least. I purchased a package of felt from a retail store and used the Big Shot and the Stampin'Up! Baskets and Blooms Bigz XL Die. This die cuts through felt so easily and quickly making doing this project quick. Well, until I start the sewing that is. I used a Blanket Stitch which I have never done so don't look to closely please. I added the flower in contrasting felt colors and added a Filigree Brad to the center to attach it to the basket. This would be a perfect little treat for Easter or even a May day basket filled with goodies. I think I will make a few more of these as they are fun to do and I will try some other felt projects now that I know just how easy it is. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back again. Extreme Birthday!

Good afternoon, I got to stamp today. Which as busy as my week as been is a first for me. I needed a birthday card for one of my son's friends and decided to use a couple of the sets that are available for free right now with a $50 purchase until the end of this month. The card stock base is Not Quite Navy Card Stock and I used Very Vanilla Card Stock and Old Olive Card Stock. The ink colors I used are Not Quite Navy Classic Stampin' Pad, Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad and Soft Suede Stampin' Pad. To make the background I used Starring You Stamp Set and used all three colors of ink pads to stamp random stars on the Very Vanilla Card Stock. I used off stamping to make the ink a little less bright. To off stamp you simple ink up your stamp then stamp once on scrap paper then again on your project. You can stamp again on your project for a little lighter image. I then stamped the Extreme Dirt Bike Stamp Set with the Not Quite Navy Classic Stampin' Pad on a smaller piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock. . Dirt Bikers aren't usually clean but have a little dirt and mud around the edges so I used the Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad to drag the edges of the card stock and give it a more distressed feel. The Dirt Biker was mounted using Stampin' Dimensionals to the Old Olive Card Stock. I stamped the Happy Birthday Star with the Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad and then punched it out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch to finish off the outside of the card. I hope the birthday boy enjoys the card and that the have a fun sleepover.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone. Of course this is the day everyone gets to be a little Irish. Not hard at my house since we are a bit of Irish every day. The card I am sharing today is a CASE of one that was in last month's Stampin' Success Magazine. This is a great magazine that all Stampin'Up! Demonstrators receive just for being a demonstrator. It is filled with great project ideas, business tips and so much more. I would love to have you join my team whether you are near or far. So back to today's card. I made a few minor changes but really kept it pretty much the same as the original I saw. The base is Old Olive Card Stock with a layer of Kraft Card Stock added. The ribbon is Old Olive and is from the Elementary Ribbon Originals. I punched out Old Olive Card Stock to make the shamrock. The punch I used was the Heart to Heart Punch and the stem was hand cut out. I added a Clear Rhinestone Brad to the center of my shamrock. The sentiment is the Go Green Single Stamp that is available in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I stamped it on Whisper White Card Stock with the Old Olive Classic Stampin'Pad. It was layered on Old Olive Designer Paper. Simple yet cute perfect for St. Patrick's Day. I hope you have a safe St. Patrick's Day. My kids have the day off from school. I made Green Pancakes for breakfast which were met with mixed reviews. Thank You Cards

Hello, everyone and thank you for stopping by today. I have been busy working on Thank you cards to send to all my customers that placed orders in February with me. I decided to make the same design for all but just change the color of card stock. I needed quite a few so I kept them fairly simple. I used the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper (I love this paper) for the insides of the cards. The bases consist of Old Olive Card Stock, Rich Razzleberry Card Stock, and Orchid Opulence Card Stock. I cut the card stock to 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2" then using the Big Shot and the Movers and Shapers Die with the Scallop Oval Die I cut out half of the scallop oval at the score line. I used the Oval All Stamp Set since it coordinates so nicely with the Scallop Oval Punch and stamped the Thank You in with either Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad or Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin' Pad. To finish off the card I used the Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon or Whisper White Organza Ribbon. The inside of the card has the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper punched with the Scallop Edge Punch or the Scallop Trim Border Punch (only a few more days to get it free). I added Whisper White Card Stock on the inside of the card too so that it is easier to write in. I don't write in these however as I want my wonderful customers to be able to give the card if they would like. Easter bunny with Eggs

Good evening, for club last week we made Easter projects and since I showed you the Easter Chick that my son designed I thought today I would share with you the Easter Card we made. It is similar to the Easter Egg card I shared last week but I thought the Chocolate Bunny need to be added for a little extra Easter look. The base of the card is So Saffron and the clouds were sponged with Bashful Blue Classic Ink on Whisper White Card Stock. The Easter Eggs are made from Tea Party and Shades of Spring Designer Series Papers and the wide oval punch. The Chocolate Bunny was stamped with Chocolate Chip Craft Ink on Chocolate Chip Card Stock, then heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I added a Pretty in Pink flower made with the Trio Flower Punch and attached it with a Silver Brad. The Happy Easter is from the Whimsical Words Stamp Set which I have in Clear Mount. I really like the sentiments in Clear Mount as it makes the placement easier to see. Well, that is it for today. I hope you enjoyed the card. Thank you for stopping by. Springtime Candy Card!

Hello, I hope you all had a great Sunday. I am back tonight to share with you the Spring Candy Card that we made Friday night at Janis's workshop. The Sweet Treat Containers are such a fun way to add something extra special to your cards. The base of the card is Tempting Turquoise Card Stock. I added a trap door inside the card to allow the candy to easily be accessible. To hold it closed we added a little tab made from the Medium Jewelry Tag punch, Trio Flower punch and a Silver Brad. The front is Pink Passion Card Stock, with a layer of Whisper White Card Stock. The flower is made by punching a circle with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch from a 3x3" Square of Whisper White Card Stock. I then stamped the circle from Pick a Petal Stamp Set with Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink. I cut out the flower. I punched out 1 3/4" Circle from both the Whisper White Card Stock and Pink Passion Card Stock. The stem and leaf were made with 1/4" Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon. The cute little Hello Tag is made with Pink Passion Card Stock, Pink Passion Classic Ink and the Occasions Mini Tiny Tags Stamp Set. I used the Medium Jewelry Tag Punch again and added a small hole with the Paper Piercing Tool and Mat Pack. The grass is Old Olive Card Stock punched with the Scallop Edge Punch and then Crimped with the Crimper. The grass was added to the card with Dimensionals.
Wouldn't this be a cute card to give in a Easter basket or just a special treat for a child's lunch box or for MAP testing. Spring Pages

Good morning, I had a workshop last night we did a card and 2 12x12 Scrapbook pages. Now I usually don't have scrapbook pages to share so this is a little different for me. We wanted the layout to be Springing and Bright so I while looking at the catalog I felt inspired to use the colors from the Sunny Day Simply Scrappin' Kit. I love the Pink Passion, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive together. I kept the layout fairly simple so that the pictures would be the main focal point. The bases are 12 x12 Tempting Turquoise Card Stock. I then cut a 12 x 12 piece of Pumpkin Pie Card Stock into two pieces one 5" the other 7 " these were used with the Designer Series paper from the Sunny Days Simply Scrappin Kit to make the center of the pages. We used the Enjoy Every Moment Stamp Set to stamp the title and the journal circle with Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink Pad. The circles were cut out with the Circle Scissors Plus. I also used the Big Shot and the Clear Scallop Square Die to but out the Pink Passion Rectangle on the right side of page two. Along the bottom of page two I added lots of ribbon for a little extra interest. The ribbon includes 1/4" Whisper white grosgrain, 1/4" Tempting Turquoise Grosgrain, 1/4" Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain, 5/8" Old Olive Grosgrain, 1/2" Striped Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain, and 1/2" Striped Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon. The white areas are where the pictures will go but those are just suggested sizes as you can add whatever pictures you have to the page. I think this layout will work for spring pictures as well as birthday pictures. If you are local and would like to make these pages contact me as I have a few kits leftover from the workshop. Easter Chick!

Sorry for the long absence from posting. My daughter and I went to New York City last weekend and I have spent the week trying to get caught up on everything I usually do, so posting had to take a back seat. The project I am sharing with you today is one of the club projects that we made this week. I can't take create for it however as my 12 year old son sketched this one for me and I just made the cute little chick. I am amazed at just how much my kids seem to understand about Stampin'Up! and what I do. I think he did a great job on his first project and I hope to be able to get him to sketch more for me. This is a tools project with Big Shot Dies and punches. For the box I used the Bag with Scallops Bigz XL Die and cut the scallop part off leaving the bag open at the top. The handle is punched with the Sale-a-bration Edge punch. The card stock I used is Bashful Blue. To make the chick himself I used the Frame Oval Scallop Bigs Die and cut out two one in So Saffron Card Stock and one in Whisper White Card Stock. I cut the Whisper White Card Stock to make the egg shell. On the club ones we stamped across the egg shell to make it look like a decorated egg or you could use colored card stock to make your egg. To make the rest of the chick, I punched out one 5 Petal Flower Punch and 2 Small Oval Punches from So Saffron Card Stock. I sponged the edges of the So Saffron Card Stock with a Sponge Dauber and So Saffron Classic Ink before assembling the chick. To make his eyes I used the 1/2" Circle Punch and Whisper White Card Stock. I added the blue centers with the Bashful Blue Stampin' Write Marker. The beak was made by folding a piece of Pumpkin Pie Card Stock in half then punching out one petal from the 5 Petal Punch with the inside of the petal being lined up with the fold of the card stock. This allows his mouth to open and close. I used SNAIL Adhesive to attach all the parts and also attach the chick to the basket. There you have a cute little treat container for Easter. Haitian Red Cross Update!

I told you that I would update you when I knew the totals from the I {Heart} Heart Stamp Set which helped the Red Cross Haitian Relief and Development Fund. Well this was taken from the Stampin' UP! Website today and wow did everyone make a big difference. I want to thank all of you that purchased the stamp set this last month. My daughter and I are off on a gymnastics trip this weekend which is why I have been not posting as much this week, but I will be back next week with more projects and some pictures to share from our trip.
