Hello and Happy Memorial Day! I hope you are have a great weekend. I realized the other day that I forgot to share the last two projects we did for Stamp Time. Both use retiring products and since time is running out to place your orders for these products I thought I had better share them soon. Today's card uses the Easy Events Stamp Set which is retiring. I stamped the Wedding Wishes Birds with Basic Gray Ink on Whisper White Card Stock then colored it with a Blender Pen and the following colors: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Rose Red which are all retiring. I used the 2 1/2" Circle Punch to punch out the image and attached it to a Bashful Blue Scallop Circle that was cut out with the Perfect Pennants Bigs L Die. For the background I used Whisper White and added texture with the retiring Elegant Lines Embossing Folder. I made the base of the card Bashful Blue and used Whisper White Oraganza Ribbon to add just a bit more detail. If you would like to order this stamp set be sure and contact me soon as the catalog ends on June 3. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

A New Case
Are you ready for a sneak peak at what is coming on May 31st. I am ready to share a few things with you including the three of the new InColors. This card has Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate and Strawberry Slush and it is a case from the new catalog. I just changed up the colors and the ribbon. The Stamp Set is Itty Bitty Banners and I used the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies to cut out the banners for the wooden shewer. I had thought about using my Stamp-a-ma-jig but in the end just eyeballed the banners across the background piece. The ribbon is the 1/4" Whisper White Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and the Pool Party Ribbon we received at Sale-a-bration as I haven't been able to purchase the new InColor Ribbons yet. I would love to share the new InColors with you and show you some other new stamp items so give me a call and we can set up a workshop or class.
Also just a quick reminder that the Retiring Items will only be around for a short period of time so please look over the list and give me a call so I can help you place your order. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

A Bit of the Old and a Bit of New
Good morning, today I wanted to share with you a Mother's Day Card I made last week for my mom. It uses a couple of new colors that will be introduced in the new catalog. The base of the card is Crisp Cantaloupe which is a new In Color and I did the sponging on the card with Baked Brown Sugar which is another In Color. The Stamp Sets are Blooming with Kindness and Wonderful Mother (which is retiring). The Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder that I used for the card base is also retiring. I will miss this folder as it is one of my favorite ones to demonstrate and share. The flower was inked with the Crisp Cantaloupe, Old Olive and Calypso Coral and stamped on Whisper White Card Stock. I used the Ovals Framelits Collection to cut it out and then layered it with a Labels Collection Framelit that is Soft Suede. For just a bit more detail I pierced the Label Framelit with the Festive Paper Piercing Pack. I need to use my piercing guides more and Stampin'Up! just shared a great idea with us this week so watch for more ideas. The sentiment was punched out with a circle punch and added to the front. I stamped the inside with the rest of the Wonderful Mother Stamp Set and the card was ready for mom. If you need a great Mother's Day Stamp Set I would really recommend the Wonderful Mother and since it is retiring you don't want to wait to long and miss out. Ok, got to go and get a few things done before I take my youngest to school and then run my daughter her contacts that see forgot. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day! Tonya

For a Special Graduate
Good evening, May means graduations and we have several this month and I have been busy making cards for them. Today's card is for a special young man who is graduating soon from high school. I did use a retired color as it matches our school colors best but of course any color will work on this card. The stamp set is Pure Gumption and it will be in the upcoming catalog as well as being in the current one. I used Basic Black, Whisper White and Brilliant Blue (sorry it is retired). I stamped the sentiment and the cap with Jet Black Stazon. I used the Oval Framelits Collection Dies to cut out the sentiment and then cut the cap out with the Paper Snips after I had colored it with the Aquapainter. The Labels Collection Framelit Die is the perfect mat for the Whisper White and I cut it out of Basic Black. To make the diploma I simple rolled Whisper White Card Stock and tied Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon around it to hold it closed. This was attached to the card with Glue Dots. I added Basic Jewels that were colored black with a permanent marker under the graduate to draw attention to it. I did stamp the inside but forgot to take a picture before I gave it away. This is a great set to have for all your graduation cards and with several sentiments it has plenty of options. I am going to keep this short again tonight as I have another card to make before I call it a day. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Tonya

Circle Circus and Word Play
Hello and welcome to my Tuesday card. We had stamp time today and one of the card we made was this one. It uses two retiring stamp sets and three retiring colors. The Stamp Sets are Word Play and Circle Circus. Circle Circus is one of my daughter's favorite go to stamp sets when she needs a quick and easy background. We Stamped the various circles either on the Whisper White backgroud or on scrap paper and then punched out the circles with the 3/4", 1" 1 3/4" Circle punches. The colors are River Rock, Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red. The colors are limited in card stock from but the stamp sets will be available until June 3rd when the catalog ends. If you have any questions about the card or about the retiring list please let me know and I will be happy to help. Going to keep this short as it has been a busy day with lots going on. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Bordering On Romance is going soon....
Good morning and welcome back! I haven't been very good about posting but good news I have four new cards to share with you over the next few days. Some have a bit of the retiring items while one has new colors. Today I have a card I made this weekend that uses the soon to be retired Bordering on Romance Stamp Set. This set is so much fun to watercolor and I did just that with our ink pads and Aquapainter. I used soon to be retiring colors on this card and stamped the flowers twice. I cut out the blue flowers and added them with Dimensionals, SNAIL and Glue Dots so that each has a different height. The colors are Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. The bottom of the card was cut with the Adorning Accents Edgelits after the Baja Breeze Card Stock was added to the Whisper White base. I used the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits to make the Pretty in Pink piece behind my main image. The flowers were punched out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch and I finished off the card with a 5/8" Organza Ribbon Bow and a few Basic Pearl Accents. I left a sentiment off the card so I could use it for any occasion such as a quick note of thanks or maybe a Birthday. Don't hesitate to order your Bordering on Romance Stamp Set as I don't want you to miss the opportunity to own this beautiful set. Tomorrow I will have another quick and easy card to share with you that uses two retiring stamp sets until then have a great day and Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Hello and welcome back! I have been busy as I am sure most of you have been too now that Spring seems to have arrived in Missouri. Today I have a Congratulations card to share with you that uses the soon to be retired Perfect Punches Stamp Set and the Swallowtail Stamp Set. The colors I picked are Pool Party, Whisper White and Soft Suede. I stamped the Swallowtail with Versamark then embossed with the Pool Party Embossing Powder. The sentiment is done the same way then punched out with the Modern Label Punch which is layered on a Large Oval Punch is Soft Suede then a label made with the also soon to be retiring Lots of Tags Sizzlits. I added Soft Suede Taffetta Ribbon and a few pearls for just an extra finishing touch. This card will be perfect for Graduation or an upcoming wedding. Not sure which yet but it will be used soon. Thanks for stopping by and remember that time is running out to pick up the retiring items. Don't wait and wish you had ordered. Tonya

Nature Walk Retiring Soon
Good morning and welcome back! I hope you took the time to hop with us yesterday and see all the great projects that the Sqaud made. It is always nice to get inpiration from others. Today I have a couple of more swap cards for you. They use the Nature Walk Stamp Set which will be retirng at the end of the month. I do not own this set so it is nice to get swaps when I go to convention so I have a variety to share with you.
The first card was made by Holly Krautkremer and she used So Saffron, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla for her Card Stock, and Cherry Cobbler and So Saffron Ink. The Scallop Trim Border Punch was used along the side and she added just a bit of 1/8" Marina Mist Taffeta Ribbon.
The second card is made by Brenda Taylor and she used Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla Card Stock with the Soft Suede Ink. Some Crochet Trim and an Antique Brad really finish this card off. If you would like to purchase this or any of our retiring stamp sets please let me know and I will be happy to help you place your order. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great day! Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop.. Best of
Hello and welcome to our Best of Stampin'Up! Blog Hop. This month our theme is retiring stamp sets and we were challenged to use a retiring color on our project. This month I did both and even added a couple of extra retiring items just for added fun. My first project is a Mother's Day card because it will be here before we know it. I used the Build a Blossom Stamp Set and Wonderful Mother Stamp Set both of which are retiring. I wanted to make my blossoms look like a dogwood tree so I used Pretty in Pink Ink (also retiring) and stamped my flower petals on Whisper White Card Stock. The centers are More Mustard Ink (retiring soon) on Daffodil Delight Card Stock. The petals were punched out with the Blossoms Petals Builder Punch (retiring) and the centers were punched with the 1/2" Circle Punch The background is Baja Breeze Card Stock (retiring) that has texture added with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. Because the Blossoms needed a tree I used Early Espresso Card Stock and the Paper Snips and just free hand cut the branch. The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with Early Espresso Ink and punched out with the Large Oval Punch and layered on the Pretty In Pink Card Stock (retiring) that was punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch. The base is Whisper White. Not sure who is getting this card but either my mom or David's mom will receive it.
Now moving onto my second project which a just realized as I look at the picture that it is really hard to see just how big this quilt top is. I hung it on my curtain to take a picture and it just looks sort of straight. Anyway sorry about that. I love that Stampin'Up! has had fabric for us to use but sadly it is retiring. :-( I have been wanting to make a Chevron quilt since I saw instructions on Pinterest and the Essentials Designer Fabric seemed the perfect choice. I didn't even use all of the Polka Dot Fabric on this quilt and I have a lot of fabric leftover for other projects with the other designs. The quilt was supposed to just be a crib size but is more like a twin. Oh, well I just couldn't stop sewing. I didn't use any other Stampin'Up! items but I love how it showcases our fun fabric.
Time for you to continue on your way to Dawn's Creative Chalet. I hope you enjoyed today's projects. I can't wait to see what everyone else made for the hop. It is always so much fun to get new ideas and share with everyone. Thanks for stopping by today and please leave us a comment as you hop along so we know you were here. Tonya
