Swallowtail Butterfly

Hello and welcome back. I took a few days off from blogging but not from creating. I have two cards to share with you today and while they are both similar I wanted to show you just how you can change a few things like color and sentiment and make the card look new and different. The stamp set that I started with is the Swallowtail Stamp that is in the Spring Catalog. I wasn't going to get this stamp when I first saw it then over time and with the help of my fellow demonstrators showing off their samples I decided I would add it to my collection. I am really glad that I did. As you can see by the cards this is a big stamp. The sentiments are from Bring on the Cake and Wonderful Mother. Let's start with the Mother's Day Card. I used Pool Party and Island Indigo for my colors with Whisper White of course. I inked up the Swallowtail with my Versamark Pad and then added the Pool Party Embossing Powder. I used a Sponge to add Island Indigo Ink over the top of the Swallowtail (I will use a Sponge Dauber next time for better control) to make it really stand out and pop. The sentiment was also stamped with the Island Indigo Pad and then punched out with the Large Oval Punch and backed with a Scallop Oval Punch. I added just a bit of Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon that I added a knot to and the card is finished.

The second card I decided to change up the colors a bit and went with Sahara Sand for the base with Pretty In Pink (Retiring soon) and Melon Mambo. I decided to use my Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad to see if the shimmer in it would show through the embossing. I didn't really notice a difference but after I embossed the Swallowtail with the Melon Mambo Embossing Powder I did sponge the image with the Illuminate Pad again to give all the areas not embossed a shimmery effect. I added the sentiment which was also embossed and flagged the end. I wanted just a bit of accent so I punched out Pretty In Pink flowers using the Boho Blossoms Punch and added a Large Pearl Basic Jewel to the top after I stacked the three sizes. Well, that is it for today. I hope you enjoyed the Swallowtail Stamp and if you want to order yours don't wait. Call me today or you can order online. I am going to play with this stamp some more as I still have a few ideas for cards but for now have a great day and thanks for stopping by. Tonya

Itty Bitty Birthday

Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Ours was filled with activities, Church and lots of excitement. Good excitement at least this weekend. It is hard to believe that Sale-a-bration will be ending in just five days. The two months have flown by and I sure don't want you to miss out on this great promotion. Several of you are working on your orders so I thought I would share a couple more options with you as you pick out your free items. Today's card uses both the the Pretty Petites Stamp Set and the Petite Curly Label Punch. I picked colors from the color chart and paired Island Indigo, More Mustard, Lucky Limeade and Whisper White. Since I was punching out the stamped image I put all four on one block inked them with the Stampin' Write Markers and stamped them all once then punched. I also used the Itty Bitties Stamp Set to make the party hats and the small cupcake on the two right hand images. The party hats of course needed some bling so I added a couple of the smallest Basic Rhinestones and the cupcake was punched out with the Owl Builder Punch. Behind the stamped images I used the Argyle Impressions Embossing Folder, add a bit of Whisper White Baker's Twine and this 3x3 card is ready for a birthday bag. Please let me know if you have any questions about Sale-a-bration and I will be happy to answer them for you. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Tonya

Happy Birthday Quilt

Good morning! We have yet another snow day for the kids. At this rate they will be in school until June. Oh, well better to be safe than sorry and since it is still snowing home is fine by me. Today I have a fun Birthday card that I decided to make last week after all of our other cards were made. I love the Quilt idea and I had just used the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper on this  All Dressed UP card. So it seemed like a good combo for this Birthday Card. The stamp set is from the Best of Birthdays Stamp Set that is part of the 25th Anniversary Collection. I used a card base of Basic Gray and added some texture with the Sqaure Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The quilt panel was made much like yesterday's in that I started with a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and 1" Square Punch. Since I was setting my square on an angle I scored a light line down the center of the card stock so help me line up my squares. After I attached the squares I ran the panel through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I added Island Indigo Card Stock that had been punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch along both the top and bottom of the panel and attached some scrunched Baja Breeze Seam Binding before attaching it to the front of my card. The sentiment was stamped twice once with Basic Gray and once with Island Indigo. I punced out the Basic Gray sentiment with the Extra Large Oval Punch and hand cut out the Birthday to add with Dimensionals to the Basic Gray. I added it to the card with more Dimensionals then added the cute little dyed flower from the 5/8" Flower Trim. Now I just need to Birthday person to send it to. Since we are home bound today I am hoping to start on my Blog Hop projects to next week. It would be nice to be a head of schedule instead of rushing all the time. Maybe these last few snow days have been our catch up time and our chance to slow down for a while. I hope you are warm and dry where ever you are. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Whirly Twirly Birthday

Good morning, well we finally made it to Friday. We have a super busy weekend a head of use with basketball games, youth retreat and Pinewood Derby, but before we get to those events I have a card to share with you that is for the upcoming Birthday Card class. There are several new items on this card. The Wishes Your Way stamp set is new and one that I debated on buying but I really wanted the new  Pinwheel Sizzlits Die and you really can't have one without the other. I paired them with the new Cloudy Day Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The only ink color I used is Island Indigo which I pulled from the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper that I used for the Pinwheels. The other items are Real Red Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Crumb Cake Card Stock, and 1/8" Mini Brads. I am going to take a break over the weekend from posting but I will be back on Monday with new things to share. I have several more items to show you as I have been busy stamping and creating.
Would you like to create with me? If so give me a call and we can set up a craft time with you and some friends. I can show you the new Spring Catalog and all the fun items in it.
Have a great weekend! Tonya

Warmest Wishes

Tomorrow is a special day, my grandma celebrates her birthday and of course she needs a special card. I made this one this week for her and I hope she likes it. The stamp set is Blooming with Kindness and I paired it with Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink and Early Espresso with Whisper white for the stamped images. I used two Big shot items for this card. I used the Labels Collection Framelits to cut out the flower image and the mat behind it and then I added texture to the Pretty in Pink layer with the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that carried over from the Holiday Mini. I sponged the embossed areas to give it more depth then added Pearls to the corner. To finish up the card I added a Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons with Early Espresso Baker's Twine. Thanks for stopping by today and please check out the other posts that I have added about the updates from Stampin'UP!.  Have great day, Tonya

Play Ball!

Good afternoon and welcome! I had planned to post this earlier today but life got in the way. Funny how that happens. Today I want to share with you my son's birthday card that I made for his birthday that was yesterday. He loves baseball and plays on a team almost year round. His team's colors are Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White so I started with those colors and added the Crumb Cake since it is the color of the dirt that he seems to always attract being a catcher. I made the baseball using the 2 1/2" Circle Punch then used the negative portion of the punched out image to lightly add the stitching portion with the Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker then added the stitching with the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker. I used the Square Lattice Folder on the Crumb Cake Card Stock and the Bitty Banner Framelits to cut out the happy birthday from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set. For the happy birthday I used both the Real Red and the Basic Black Stampin' Write Markers. I also did just a bit of sponging on the baseball because it looked to white with the Crumb Cake Classic Ink pad and a Sponge Dauber.
Tomorrow is Blog Hop Day so I hope you stop by again and see the projects that I have for you. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Party Hats!

Welcome to Wednesday! It is the first day of school for my two youngest and all of my kids are finally back in school. :-) Today's card is the final club project that we did last week. I used the Summer Smooches Desigern Paper and pulled colors from it to make the card. The stamp set is A Fitting Occasion set that I received from Stampin'UP! for FREE! Yes, as a demonstrator you can get free stamp sets.  The other supplies are Island Indigo Card Stock and Classic Ink, Daffodil Delight Card Stock and Classic Ink, Whisper White Card Stock, Tangerine Tango Card Stock, Rich Razzleberry Card Stock and Classic Ink, Lucky Limeade Card Stock and Classic Ink and Basic Gray Classic Ink, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch and the 1" Circle Punch. Going to keep this post short so I can get some stamping time in before the kids get home (half day for the youngest two). Hope you have a great day, Tonya

Catalog Case

Good morning, today I have quick card for you. I think we sometimes over look the Note cards on page 160.  They are a great price at only  $5.95 for 20 cards and envelopes. We used them the other night at club and made this simple little birthday card based on the card on page 44 of the Catalog. We used Melon Mambo, So Saffron and Gumball Green ink pads and Stampin' Write Markers. The Happy Birthday is from the Bring on the Card Stamp Set and was stamped in Basic Gray Classic Ink. We used two punches the Petite Pennants Builder and the Circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. We added Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the tops of the hats to add just a bit a bling. As quick as these cards are to make you could make a whole bunch in a variety of colors to have on hand for all those last minute birthday card needs.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day! Tonya

Another Star!

Good afternoon, I have another star card for you today. This one is from Stamp Club and since I am sure you want to know all the fun supplies that it uses I will get right to it. The card stock is Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Summer Starfruit, and Pool Party, the designer series paper is Comfort Cafe. For Big Shot items I used the Chevron Folder and the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die. I used three punches including the Petite Pennants Builder, 1 3/4" Circle and 1 3/8" Circle Punch. The stamp set is Petite Pairs that was stamped with Midnight Muse. The Chevron Folder was sponged with Soft Suede Classic Ink and Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon was added to the card. Blog Hop July Style

Hello and welcome to another round of Blog Hop. If you are joining me from Rose's Blog thank you for stopping by and if this is your first stop then just follow click on the next button at the bottom of this post and it will take you on your way to Dawn's Blog. I can't wait to see what everyone has made today. I made three projects for today one with the help of my daughter. I love to get to stamp and create with her. The first is our cupcake topper which will look cute of the cupcakes we finished yesterday. We started with a sucker stick and then embellished it with the Petite Pennant Punch, Baja Breeze Seam Binding, the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and Bitty Banners Framelits, Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Fancy Fan Folder, perfect Polka Dots Folder, Rhinestones, Baja Breeze and Primrose Petals Stampin Write Markers, Patio Party Designer Series Paper, Summer Starfruit Card Stock, Baja Breeze Card Stock, Midnight Muse Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock and Primrose Petals Card Stock.
Our second project continues with the Birthday/ Cupcake theme and is a mini card that will be perfect for a gift. The card is made using the Petal Cone Die. I cute the base of the card out with Whisper White Card Stock and then added all the extras. The Designer Series Paper is Patio Party and the icing on the cupcake is Primrose Petals Card Stock that has had texture added with the new Fancy Fan Folder, 2 Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds. To make the cupcake liner look more realistic I first punched the top with the Scallop Punch then scored it with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and folded it accordion style an added it to my base with Sticky Strip. I stamped with Itty Bitty Banners Sentiment with Midnight Muse on Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with the Bitty Banners Framelits.  Now on to our final project which is a great card for a guy or for the 4th of July.

With no star punch currently available I wanted to make one with what Stampin'Up! does offer so my star is made using the Petite Pennants Punch, Cherry Cobbler Card Stock and Crumb Cake Designer Series Paper. Just punch out five and attach them at the corners for a star. The sentiment which is inked with Midnight Muse and Cherry Cobbler Stampin Write Markers is from the Word Play Stamp Set and was punched out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I wanted a rustic look for this card so I used the direct to paper technique on the Midnight Muse Card Stock with the Craft Whisper White Stamp Pad and added the drag marks before I did some paper piercing on the top right hand corner. I added just a bit of Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine before adding the Crumb Cake base and this card is ready to send to a special Birthday guy in my life. Well, thanks again for stopping by and please be sure and leave us a message and let us know you were here. Have a great day, Tonya

Cake anyone?

Hello and good afternoon, another post for you today. This is a record for me for a while. I have actually been stamping everyday and have enjoyed getting into a routine. Today's card once again features the Oval Accents Clear Die. I used it for the background panel that I attached to the Baja Breeze Card base before I ran it through the Big shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I also used the Labels Collection Framelits and the Apothecary Accents Framelits for the card, cutting them out in Summer Starfruit and Primrose Petals. The stamp sets are Bring on the Cake and Make a Cake. The cake is cut out and popped up with dimensionals then attached to the Whisper White panel with the Midnight Muse bring on the cake sentiment. I added white brads to the edges of the label and this card is ready to send. Since I don't have any birthday's for a while I will just add it to my sample board. :-) Next week I will share another new product with you so be sure and check back to see what it is. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend, Tonya

Crazy Cupcakes or Week?

Hello! I can't decide if it is a crazy week or just a Crazy for Cupcakes Birthday Card. It has been a crazy week, it is Spirit Week at my daughter's high school so that has meant dressing up in theme every day. Monday was the 80's, Tuesday was Multiplicity Day (dress like twins, triplets etc), Wednesday was dress up day but today was the hardest. Today was dress like your favorite Character from a Movie, book or show. We struggled with this one and finally she ended up with a poodle skirt and it Sandra Dee from Grease. I even forgot to take pics of today's outfit. Tomorrow is easy it is Blue/White Day for our Team colors but between that and our usual busy schedule I am one tired mom. So since I know you didn't come here to hear about my week I do have a card for you and several more to share over the next few days. Today's uses the Crazy for Cupcakes Stamp Set. I have had this set for a while but it is one of my favorite for Birthday cards. The colors are pulled from the new Twitterpated Designer Series Paper. The base is Riding Hood Red with Basic Gray, Whisper White, and Pear Pizzazz Card Stock used. Ink colors are Basic Gray, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Riding Hood Red Classic Ink Pads. To make the cupcakes even more fun I added 2 way glue and Dazzling Diamonds on the icing after the cupcakes were colored with a Blender Pen. The cute little hearts along the bottom of the card were added with the new Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders which are in the new Occasions Mini. All the supplies for this card can be purchased online through my website or by calling me. I would love to show you how to make this or any of my cards and during Sale-a-bration is a great time. Contact me to find out more about how you can earn free merchandise. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Razzleberry Birthday!

Good evening! Hope you had a wonderful Monday! I wanted to share another one of the cards we did at last Wednesday's Birthday Card Class. This one uses one of my older stamp sets, Upsy Daisy. This set is a wood mount set and has seen a lot of use. I started with a base of Baja Breeze Card Stock and added accents in Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo and Early Espresso. The image is stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock. We used the First Edition Specialty Paper and the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper. The accessories are Mini Library Clips and Metallic Brads. The card really is quite simple and the layout is cased from page 116 in the Idea Book and Catalog. Going to keep this short tonight as I have a table to get set up for tomorrow nights Sale-a-bration Open House. If you would like to attend just send me an email and I will have supplies ready for you to stamp. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful evening, Tonya

Manly Birthday Card

Hello, it is Thursday and another busy week at our house. I am going to share with you a birthday card from last week and also one from the Birthday Card Class that is this week. This card is a little more manly than some of the others. I used two stamp sets Bring on the Cake and Build a Blossom. The colors are So Saffron, Poppy Parade (off stamped) and Night of Navy. The base of the card is Crumb Cake and the Designer Series Paper is from the Pocketfull of Posies Collection and the Regals Designer Series Pack. I used a three mini brads on the upper right side of the main Designer Series Paper but a little extra something but other than that the card is pretty easy to make. I saw this layout on Pinterest and just had to make is a Stampin'Up! card. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed the card. I will be sharing another birthday card tomorrow so please come back by for it. Have a great day, Tonya

Angry Birds Birthday Card

Hello and thanks for stopping by, I have lots to share with you since I have been stamping up a storm and had two birthdays last week. The card I have for you tonight is from my youngest son's birthday party. He loves Angry Birds and when I saw this tutorial I knew I had to make him an Angry Birds card. I made some size modifications and added a white bird but the idea is very much the same. I decided to base my layout on a tshirt that Jaxon received for Christmas. I used Basic Gray and then added the Happy Birthday from the Bring on the Cake Stamp Set. I colored in the Birthday with the Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Markers. If you would like to know what punches and colors I used leave me a comment and I will make a list, but for know lets just say there were a lot of punches out on my table while I was making this card. Thanks again for stopping by and have a great evening, Tonya

Grunge Birthday!

Hello and good afternoon! Thanks to everyone that has stopped by the Blog Hop and left comments. I enjoy hearing from you. Today I have a birthday card that I recently gave my youngest brother. I struggle with guy cards as I feel like they are start to look the same and even though I don't think the guys in my life compare them I know. For this one I used Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy Card Stock, Not Quite Navy, Soft Suede, Cajun Craze Classic Ink Pads, Versamark, Well Worn Designer Series Paper, Bring on the Cake Stamp Set and the Extreme Elements Stamp Set. The layout is similar to one that I saw in the Catalog. It had been a few days since I had stamped anything new and casing a layout from the Catalog tends to help get the ideas flowing again.

Going to keep this short today. I have a lot to do and the day is quickly passing by. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya
