School Treats

Good evening, I have a lot to share with you over the next few days. I want to share one last Halloween post before I head into Christmas and Thanksgiving. I was in charge of the take home treats for my youngest son's class this year and what better set to use than Googly Ghouls and the Googlies Eyes. I stamped the treat bags with Jet Black Stazon and the retired White Stazon. The tags are made from Whisper White Card Stock, Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and Elegant Eggplant Card Stock. I stamped the images with Jet Black Stazon and colored them with a blender pen and Lucky Limeade, Elegant Eggplant and Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink. I used the Labels Collection Framelits to cut out the tags and texture was added with the Spider Web Embossing Folder. I thought about adding a boo sentiment to each but in the end kept them simple. Googlie Halloween Treat

Good morning, sorry for not posting this treat early. When you order the Ghoulish Googlies Kit you will receive both oval and circle tags. I used the circle tag to make these cute little pixie stick holders. You will need the Jet Black Staz On, 1"x8" Cellophane Bags, Pumpkin Pie Card Stock, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle, and Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine. I stamped the spider on the tag and the cellophane bag with the Jet Black Stazon and the rest is assembly. Snail the tag to  your Scallop Circle add you Bakers Twine through the hole and then add your tag to the cellophane bag with a Dimensional. These would be a great project for kids to help with. I should have added Googlie Eyes to my spider before I took the picture but oops I forgot. Will do it before I give it away. Thanks for stopping by today. October Blog Hop

 

 Hello and welcome to another round of our Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop. This month the theme is Halloween and I have three projects to share with you. The first is a framed My Digital Studio piece that I recently made for a hostess. She loves Halloween and had asked about the Toxic Frameable Digital Designer Template so I decided to make this for her.  I printed it from my home computer and then trimmed it down to fit a 5x7" frame. To add just a bit more interested I added the 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon and Basic Black Card Stock to the printed image then to the frame I added a Rosette that I made using the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper. I added a Button and a Black Punched out circle to the rosette to finish it off.

 

My next project was inspired by the Christmas ornament on the front of the Holiday Mini. I thought a Halloween one would be just as cute and would be great for a package or just as a decoration on a fall garland. I again used the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper and cut out two different ornaments with the Holiday Ornaments Framelits Die. I used the new 7/8" Cotton Ribbon and some black lace I had on hand between each ornament on the bottom layer. For the rosette I used Scallop Trim Border Punch, a Vintage Faceted Designer Button and a Large Pearl Basic Jewel that I colored black with a Sharpie Marker. I realized after I finished it that the center sort of looks like an eye which for Halloween is kind of fun.

My third project features the Bootiful Occasions Stamp Set. I really like the rain boot in this set but for this card I decided to use the Witch's Boot. I was stuck on a layout so found one similar to this on Stampin' Connections then got busy on my card.  I used a mixture of different colors from the Color Collection Designer Series Paper Stacks for the flags which were cut out with the Itty Bitty Banners Framelits and the Big Shot. You just cut out the biggest banner then cut it in half and you have two flags for your cards. My image was stamped with Jet Black Stazon and colored in with the Stampin' Write Markers before I punched it out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch and layered on the Basic Black card stock that was cut out with the Delicate Doilies Sizzlit Die. The sentiment which I cut apart from the boot is stamped then punched out with the Large Oval Punch and finally I added texture to the Rich Razzleberry Card Stock with the Fancy Fan Folder.

Ghoulish Googlies

Good afternoon, are you looking for a quick and easy Halloween Treat idea? If so then check out the Ghoulish Googlies Bundle on Page 27 of the Holiday Mini. You can get the Googly Ghouls Stamp Set, 20 printed double sided tags, 10 glassine bags, 50 adhesive backed googly eyes and 10 pieces of Pumpkin Pie Baker's Twine. I used my bundle to make this cute treat container. I ran the Glassine Bag through the Big Shot with the Spider Web Folder. When using the bags for embossing don't use any tabs on your Big shot platform as it will cause the folder to cute through your bag. I stamped "Frankie" with Jet Black Stazon and then colored him with a Blender Pen and the Lucky Limeade Classic Ink Pad before I added the googly eyes. I wanted the printed tag to stand out just a bit more so I cut out Pumpkin Pie Card Stock with the Big Shot and the Label Collection Framelit. The Pumpkin Pie Label was also embossed with the Spider Web Folder then sponged with a sponge dauber and Basic Gray Classic Ink. I added the Baker's Twine and this treat bag is ready to fill. I have an additional project to share with you later that uses the extra printed tags you get with the Bundle. Halloween Kitty

Good morning, I have more Halloween to share with you today. This card uses one of our single stamp sets and was inspired by my friend Rose's cat card. My card turned out a bit different but she inspired me to buy the stamp. Don't you just love it when that happens.  I know the perfect cat lover to send it to. The stamp set is Frightening Feline and only cost $8.95. I again used the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper. The colors are Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango and Basic Black. I used Jet Black Stazon and if you look closing the the cat is wearing a rhinestone collar. The ribbon is the Very Vanilla Seam Binding and I used the 1/2" Circle punch to notch out a spot for my knot. I used two Big Shot items to complete this card: the Finishing Touches Edgelits and the Spider Web Folder. I sponged the Spider Web with a sponge dauber and the Basic Gray Stamp Pad. Toxic Treats

 

Hello, last week was a club week and while I really intended to post the projects earlier it just didn't happen that way. So this week I will be posting pictures for you and hopefully stamping a few more new ones. Today's card features the herringbone technique but with a Halloween theme. I used the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper, Toxic Treat Stamp Set, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Basic Black Card Stock, Tangerine Tango Card Stock, Jet Black Stazon, Basic Black and Tangerine Tango Stampin Write Markers, Basic Black Polka Dot Scallop Ribbon More Mustard Stamp Pad, Festive Paper Piercing Pack,  Labels Collection Framelits, Big Shot and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets.

 

 

I decorated the inside with left over pieces of designer series paper from the herringbone technique and stamped the inside. Halloween Luminary

Hello and Happy Monday to you! I was going to share this Luminary with you last week but I had forgot to take a picture and just now got to it today. This is one of the projects we did at Patti's workshop over a week ago. Wow the week has flown by. To make this we used the Big Shot and the Fancy Favors Box and cut the box out of Elegant Eggplant 12x12 Card Stock. We then used the 2 1/2" Circle Punch to punch a hole of of the front and back. We used Jet Black Stazon to stamp the Spooky from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set on the Vellum and then sponged a moon on the Vellum using Peach Parfait and Pumpkin Pie Classic Inks. The Vellum was attached to the inside of the box with SNAIL and then we stamped the Bats also from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set across the front with Jet Black Stazon. I need to touch up a few of my bats with the Basic Black Stampin' Wirite Marker but I didn't have it with me at the time I made this sample. These luminaries are so quick and easy to make and would be beautiful for a wedding or other special event. Know remember it is important to use the battery operated tea lights in these so that they don't catch on fire. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to answer them. Dark & Dreary Treats

Good morning! It is Friday and we have a home football game tonight that my daughter and I will be there working the concession stand. It is going to be another busy day with lunch at school with two of my boys too. So last week at Patti's workshop we made these little treats for all the little ghouls in your life. They use the new Cellophane Bags that are 1"x 8" and we stamped Spiders with the Jet Black Stazon across the bags. The crow from the Dark & Dreary Stamp Set was stamped in Jet Black Stazon on Daffodil Delight Card Stock before it was punched out and added to a Basic Black Card Stock circle that was made with the Big Shot and the Circle #2 Die. The Happy Halloween is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and can you guess which ink I used to stamp it? Yep, Jet Black Stazon on Very Vanilla Card Stock. These are just a quick and easy treat. The cellophane bags will hold many different items including candy, pencils, and small toys. Well, it is time to make my third trip to school to take kids so I had better keep it short. Happy Halloween

Good morning, I am going to post earlier today and hope that the rain moves out so that I can get my run in later. I had a workshop on Friday at Patti's house and one of the projects we made was this card. It uses the Dark & Dreary Stamp Set and Pick Your Poison Designer Series Paper. The base is Pumpkin Pie Card Stock with the Spider Web added with the Big Shot and then sponged with Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink. The Happy Halloween was stamped with Jet Black Stazon on Very Vanilla Card Stock and again on Perfect Plum Card Stock then the 31 was punched out. The main image was sponged with both Peach Parfait and Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink and we added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the image too. We also used Basic Gray Card Stock which was punched out with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch and Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon.
I have another night of Stamp Club tonight, it will be a larger group than last nights and I am excited to see everyone. :) I will be working on a few new projects today too and will share them with you as soon as I have them finished. Halloween Candle

We had a great weekend and it all started with Patti's workshop on Friday night. This is a yearly event and it is always a fun time. The theme is Halloween and for Patti's hostess gift I made this candle. The technique is a fun one and so easy to customize your candles for every event. I used the Dark & Dreary Stamp Set, Basic Black Craft Ink, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool to make this candle. I added a little extra bling to the candle to really make it pop including the Basic Rhinestones and Glass Glitter which was added with Sticky Strip along the bottom of the candle. Extreme Halloween

Hello and good afternoon! I have been quiet the last few days but I have five new projects to share with you over the next week so stop by often. Today's card is a halloween card that uses a nontraditional set. I used Extreme Elements and Tenny Tiny Wishes to make this fun card. The colors are Wisteria Wonder, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Peach Parfait and Very Vanilla. I stamped the various elements on Very Vanilla Card Stock to create the background. I also sponged all the edges with Wisteria Wonder. I used Very Vanilla Seam Binding that was also sponged with Wisteria Wonder. To make the sentiment I ued three different punches the Modern Label, Large Oval and the Decorative Label. After adding a few Basic Black Brads to the side the sentiment was complete. I have some other more traditional halloween ideas to share with you too but not today.

Just a Little Batty!

Good evening, I finally got a picture taken of my bat. Now Shelli orginally shared a bat like this on her blog and he has taken flight across the blogs. It is super easy to make and while I think my fangs are a little big my boys thought they were great. To make the bat you will need the Big Shot, Petal Cone Die and the Perfect Pennant Die, Basic Black Card stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Sticky Strip and the two circle punches (I used the 3/4" and the Circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack) and the Petite Pennants Builder Punch. My bat has just eaten so he has some Real Red blood dripping from his fangs. You can fill him with all kinds of treats and give to all the ghosts and goblins that travel to your house this Halloween or you can send them to school with treats for the kids. Halloween Club Card

Good afternoon! I am going to share the the project we did at Stamp Club this week with you today. This card has several elements and extras but it was fun to do and will be fun to give away too! The card stock that we used is Old Olive, Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Whisper White, and Basic Gray. We also used the Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper, Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Spider Wed Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and a Basic Black Mini Clip just a few accessories. ;) The two stamp sets are Fun & Festive which is in the Holiday Mini and Sweet Centers. Jet Black Stazon was used to stamp the Happy Halloween and then it was colored in with a Blender Pen and various Stamp Pads. The Eek You're Sweet was inked up with the Basic Black, Old Olive and Cajun Craze Stampin Write Markers. Oh and of course what is a card without a few punches. In this case we used the 1 1/4" Circle and the 1 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch. I am finishing up packing for a workshop tonight then tomorrow I am taking the boys on a road trip to see Kaylee run in Joplin. Wicked Treats for Stamp Club

Good morning, I hope you had a nice weekend. The weather was great and I did get out and enjoy it a bit but I also did some stamping so I have new projects to share with you. The first one is a club project for this week. It starts with our new 1"x 8" Cellophane Bags. You get 50 for only $2.50 and they are great for Halloween, Christmas, Valentines Day and so much more. We stamped bats from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set with Jet Black Stazon on the front of the Cellophane Bag to add some Halloween Fun. After the Stazon dried we added the Smarties Candy and started decorating the tag. The bags are self sealing but I wanted to add a bit more interest so the top is tied shut with Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. Then to make the tag we used the have a WICKED halloween also from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set and inked it up with the Basic Black and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers stamped on Whisper White Card Stock and punched it out with the 1" Circle Punch. We used the 1 1/4" Circle Punch to punch out Cajun Craze Card Stock and the Curly Label Punch to punch out the Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper. We layered them then attached it to our Ribbon to finish off the Treat Bag. Halloween Treats!

Hello and thanks for stopping by, I have a fun Halloween treat container for you today and it is so simple to make with the help of the Big shot and a few punches. This container uses the Milk Carton Die and was demonstrated at Convention but after making my first one it just made me think of a pumpkin so I had to make another one. I love this idea and thank you to who ever thought of it. You will need to cut two milk carton and then cut off one panel on each. The panel without the tab please. Then just attach the two cartons together using the tabs and fold in the bottoms add some Sticky Strip and you are done unless you want a jack-o-lantern then you need Basic Black Card Stock, the Wide Oval Punch and the Pennant Builders Punch. I used each of the punches for either the mouth or the eyes. I will take some pictures of the punching process and add those later so you have an idea of how it get the shapes you need. I added a 4x6" Cellophane bag filled with candy and tied the bag off with our fun, new Dotted Scallop Edge Ribbon in Basic Black. The bow makes me think of a little girl Jack-o-lantern or would would it be a Jill-o-lantern,. :) These would make great treat bags for school or those favorite little trick or treaters that should stop by and after the candy it gone they can use the container for other things like pencils or crayons. We will be making a similar container at club this week so Club Members will get to see first hand out easy these are to make. Well, that is it for today. Happy Halloween

Sorry for the not so great picture. Not sure what is up as it looks fine when I edit it and is much clearer. I have sort of taken a break from stamping and have been busy working on a few sewing projects. Nothing to exciting right now to share but maybe soon. So today I wanted to sit down and finish a card. I had stamped and colored the Happy Halloween image from the Festive and Fun Stamp Set (Holiday Mini) a while back but it just sat there so I started there. I used a base of Old Olive that I added Polka Dots to using the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Embossing folder. I distressed the paper with the Jet Black Stazon Pad. In fact everything was distress with the Jet Black Stazon Pad, the image, ribbon and Pumpkin Pie card stock layer. I used 1 1/4" Basic Black Striped Grosgrain Ribbon underneath the image to sort of anchor it. I added just a touch of bling with the Basic Black Glimmer Brad that is used to gather the ribbon. The card is a lot less layers than I would usually do but I tend to start simple when I have been away from Stampin' for a while. Maybe the creative juice will start to flow and I can get back to stamping. I think I will try stamping with the new Gently Falling Stamp Set and see what I can come up with. Happy Halloween!

Hello and Happy Halloween! No stamping related post at the moment but I did want to share my trick-or-treaters with you today. These are my three boys. They got to dress up on Friday for their school parties and wore their costumes all day. So for those of you that don't know my boys. The youngest is Jango Fett, the Oldest is the Werewolf and the middle son is the Hippie. His costume was so simple to put together and he loved being a hippie. My oldest did not dress up this year since she is now in High School. Well, I am off to do a few things before the Trick-or-Treaters show up. I hope you have a safe and fun Halloween! Halloween Treat for Club

Good morning, wow this has been a busy week! First I want to thank everyone that scheduled a workshop this week during Stampin'UP!'s Book-a-thon. We reached our goal of 5000 workshops booked during that day. Amazing! If you would still like to schedule a little craft time for you and your friends it is not to late. Simply give me a call and I will get you on my schedule. This week is Stamp Club week so I thought I would share one of the projects that we are doing. This is a treat container that I learned from my upline years ago and I did show it on my blog last Halloween but we had not made them at club before. The base is a 8"x4" sheet of Pumpkin Pie Card Stock. We used the Fang-tastic Stamp Set to decorate the container. The ribbon is 1/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon and the punches used were the Modern Label Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch and the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch. We used Blender Pens to color in the cute little Witch with Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink Pads and the Blush Blossom Stampin' Write Marker. The witch and the sentiment were stamped with Jet Black Stazon.

BOO!

Hello! It is Friday, I really look forward to the weekends with no school and it used to be a time to stay home and just spend time with the kids, but as our kids have gotten older and more involved in activities I find that it is a time to spend going from one activity to another. I still love it and am thrilled that I can see them do each activity. Tomorrow is baseball and cross country. Well, enough about my weekend. This week I wanted to make a Halloween Decoration and while I considered a banner (still might make one) I finally settled on these little boxes that can be set on a shelf or table. I used the Bitty Box & Envelope Bigz XL Die to cut out three boxes, one Cajun Craze Card Stock, one Old Olive Card Stock and one Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. I then added a little texture with the Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A little distressing to make the spider web pop and they boxes were ready. I decided to keep the other embellishments to a minimum just because I wanted the spider web to show. The boo was cut out with the Alphabet Simple Letters Bigz Dies with Basic Black Card Stock and the Black Waffle Paper. I do wish I had Black Glitter but I am out at the moment (need to remember to add it to my next order) to add a little extra sparkle. The bats were made with Basic Black Card Stock and the Bitty Bat Large Punch. They were attached to a thin wire with Mini Glue Dots then I simple put them in the corners of the boxes. The will fold up flat for easy storage and I can use them year after year. How fun it that! If you would like to make your own set of blocks give me a call and I can help you order your supplies.
