Cookie Stamps

Hello and good evening, I have a little different post for you tonight in that food is involved, cookies to be exact. Stampin'Up! now has Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps. The set includes a wooden handle and three silicone stamps to press into your cookie dough and recipes. I decided to give them a try this week for Stamp Club and thought I would share the results with you. The first two pictures are the cookies prior to baking. On the first picture you can see the handle and blue silicone which is the snowflake. The other images are the heart and a jack-o-latern. I didn't try either recipe but did use our favorite shortbread recipe and I am happy with the results and they were a hit at both club and with my kids. I will say that these are big cookies, much bigger than I traditionally make but as long as you only have one or maybe two it should be good. I think the next time I will let me kids in on the fun and let them stamp the dough too! I can't have all the fun right. Tile Technique

Hello and good afternoon today I want to share one of the projects that we will be making this week at Stamp Club. It is a faux tile and is so quick and easy to make with the help of our new scoring board. I love mine and am so glad that Stampin'UP! added it to our products. The stamp set is Gently Falling which is in the Holiday Mini. I used the colors: Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Elegant Eggplant for this card but any fall color combo would look great. The layout is pretty straight forward but I did add a little extra texture on the Elegant Eggplant band by using the Big Shot (free this month to all new recruits) and the Houndstooth Embossing folder. The sentiment is from the Pretty Postage Stamp Set and after marking each Thanks for either Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard or Cajun Craze and stamping on Very Vanilla Card Stock I punched it out with the 1" punch and then layered it with the Postage Stamp Punch. Tangerine Flower Garden

Good afternoon, well I am back and all set up for Stamp Club tonight. I am going to share one of the projects we are doing tonight with you today and another one later in the week. I did a card with this technique last week after I saw it on Song of My Heart Stampers. I knew I would want to try it again when I received the new Flower Garden Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and I thought it would be fun to share with my club ladies. The colors I used are Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Basic Black and Whisper White. I used the Watercolor Wonder Crayons and a Aquapainter to color the flower image. The sentiment is from the Word Play Stamp Set which is on sale this month. I stamped it with Basic Gray, punched out the sentiment with the Decorative Label Punch and sponged the edges with a Sponge and Old Olive Classic Ink. To add a little interest to the upper right corner I punched with Whisper White layer out with the Scallop Trim Corner Punch. It still needed something so my 7 year old suggested adding butterflies, so I cut those out with the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die using Tangerine Tango Card Stock. I used three on this card and it was just what the card needed. Thanks Jaxon! I added some detail to the inside of the card too and it is ready to mail. Good morning, I hope to be back later with a project to share but right now the weather isn't cooperating with me. This rainy weather makes is hard to take pictures. :( I did want to share with you my schedule of events for this week as it is a busy week.
Monday Oct 11- Stamp Club 6pm. This is an additional club if this time fits your schedule better, just let me know and you can attend today.
Tuesday or Thursday Oct 12 or 14- Stamp Club 7pm. This is our usual Club time and you can attend either day. We will be doing three projects for club this month. If you have questions about Stamp Club give me a call or email me.
Friday Oct. 15- Open Stamp Night 8pm. I have a Big Class on Saturday and I know that I will be busy making last minute preparations. Bring your own projects and stamp with night away with me.

As you can see a lot is going on this week. In addition tomorrow is Workshop Book-a-Thon and Stampin'Up! has set a goal to have 5,000 workshops booked tomorrow. Little Miss Witch

Happy Monday! What a fun filled weekend we had. It was jam packed with activities and no stamping went on at my house. :( So today I will share with you another project that we did at Stamp Club last week. I know I have mentioned it before but this is one of my favorite stamp sets in the catalog and I just had to share it with my Stamp Club ladies. For this card we watercolored with Blender Pens and Classic Ink. We also used Watercolor Paper. The other supplies used are:
Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry Card Stock, Pumpkin Pie 1 1/4" Striped Gorsgrain Ribbon, Rich Razzleberry, Cajun Craze, Basic Black, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Blushing Bride and Blush Blossom Stampin' Write Markers, Blender Pen, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Modern Label Punch, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder, Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Black Flourish Designer Jewels, Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die, Jet Black Stazon, Whisper White Craft Ink, Sponge, and All Holidays Stamp Set. All of the embossed areas were sponged with the Whisper White Craft Ink to accent the embossing. Doesn't she look like she is ready to Halloween all though she doesn't look like she is going to scare anyone. :) Well, that's it for today. Totally Birthday!

Good evening! I thought I would share one more Easel Card with you. This card was for my daughter's 15th birthday and even though she doesn't have straight hair by any stretch of the imagination I just couldn't resist using Totally Tess and she needed a super sized cupcake to deliver to our birthday girl. The cupcake is from Crazy for Cupcakes Stamp Set. Crazy for Cupcakes is one of my favorite birthday set. To make Tess I used a lot of paper piecing and the wonderful new Designer Series Paper Lap of Luxury. It has the new Concord Crush, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla, and Basic Gray. I used Whisper White Card Stock, Concord Crush and Pretty in Pink Card Stock for the card and Jet Black Stazon Ink. For the areas on Tess and the cupcake that weren't paper pieced I used the Watercolor Crayons and a Blender Pen to add color. It is really hard to tell in the picture but Tess has two buttons on her shirt and for those I added two of the smallest sized pearls from the Basic Pearls Jewels. I used the beautiful Pretty in Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon. The satin ribbon ties so nicely and gives the card a nice look. I didn't add the inside picture but it has Happy Birthday inside from the Perfect Punch Stamp Set.
Tomorrow night is our first Stamp Club night of the new round. I am excited to see everyone and get to stamp with some new ladies. Blushing Hydrenga

Hello! I am getting ready to travel to Salt Lake City for Convention but I couldn't leave you with out a card or two to look at while I am gone. Today's card is one that we did for club last week. Each club member had their choice of either Blushing Bride or Marina Mist Card Stock and Ink colors. Most picked the Marina Mist and I will share that card another day but for today it is Blushing Bride. The layout is fairly simple but it uses a lot of fun new products. We used the Presto Patterns Designer Series Paper and using the Sponge Daubers the paper was sponged to match the card stock. Because it has has white embossing on the paper it resists the ink and allows it to show the design. The other supplies used are Blushing Bride Card Stock, Basic Black Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Because I Care Stamp Set, Jet Black Stazon Pad, Blushing Bride Classic Ink Pad, Wild Wasabi Classic Ink Pad, Oval Punch, 1/8" Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon. We did decorate the inside of the card but I forgot to take a picture. :( I will add the inside picture when I show you the Marina Mist Card. The Because I Care Stamp Set is a new Hostess Set and since Hydrengas are my favorite flower I had to have it. You can have your own set to just by hosting a workshop of at least $150 or placing and order for the same amount. Call me to set up your workshop time and date. Simple Artistic Etching

Hello, I haven't disappeared or anything but I have been bad about not posting this week. Sorry about that. I had club Tuesday night and we had a wonderful time and I have been busy making swaps. I have one more organized swap to make and then a few more generals swaps before I leave on Tuesday, add in our family activities and that doesn't leave much time to post. I will be writing post that will be published while I am gone, so at least the days I am away there will be new projects for you. The other day I was playing with the Artistic Etching Stamp Set and I decided I need a simple yet elegant card to showcase the new colors. This is one of the cards I came up with. The base is Basic Black Card Stock with a layer of Daffodil Delight Card Stock. I used the new (and my favorite right now) embossing folder Vintage Wallpaper to add a design to my Very Vanilla Card Stock. I only did the top portion so that I could stamp on the lower portion. I used Jet Black Stazon to stamp the design on the bottom. It is one stamp that I stamped three times across the card. It is super easy to line them up with the new Clear Mount Stamps. To finish off the card and cover the area where the stamping and embossed image meet I added a piece of 1/8" Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon and there you have the finished card. Nothing to difficult yet it would be perfect to make a bunch for notes to teachers, friends or loved ones. I am off to bed it has been a long day and tomorrow will be more of the same. Vintage Flowers

Good morning, I am going to make this a quick post as I have to get back to school soon to tour a high school with my daughter. Today's card is one that we are doing in Stamp Club this month. When I received my Occasions Mini this was a stamp set that I knew I had to have. I just love the vintage look and after stamping with it I am so glad that I purchased it early. The stamp set is Vintage Vogue (117690 wood mount, 118598 clear mount). This set also has a coordinating wheel which I will show you on a future card. I started with a base of Kraft Card Stock (102125) and then used the Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049) to stamp the flower edge four times down the left side of the card with the Close to Cocoa Classic Stampin' Pad (103139). If you look under the Old Olive 5/8" Satin Ribbon (117292) you can see the stamping that I am talking about. There is a space between the two sides that is about of 1/4" for the ribbon. Next we moved onto the main image which is inked up with the Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write Marker (100072) and the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker (116329). This was stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock (101650). We also stamped the small flower and the leaf on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock with Old Olive Classic Ink (102277) and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker (116329)before cutting them out. The flower was added with a Stampin' Dimensional (104430) and the leaves were added with Mini Glue Dots (103683). To finish off the flower we added a small half back pearl. Now for the fun part making the Chocolate Chip Card Stock (102128) mat to go behind the image. We started with a 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" piece of card stock and used both the Scallop Trim Corner (118870) and the Scallop Trim Border (118402). Now this is a practice makes perfect type of project but once you figure out a size that works best with the punches it really is a fun way to add that something extra to your card. Wonderful Linen

Good morning, I did get to stamp yesterday but what I created I can't share at this time as it is a swap for convention. So today I am going to share one if the two cards we did at club this week. One of the swaps I signed up for at convention is a technique swap. What this involves is each person makes a 6x6" page with a technique sample and directions on how to make this technique. One of the ones that I chose is Faux Linen and since I had the technique on my mind I decided to share it with my wonderful club ladies.

The card starts with a base of Dusty Durango Card Stock (115321). We used a piece of Night Quite Navy Card Stock (101722) that was texturized with the Big Shot Die Cut Machine (113439) and the Texture Plates Kit #4 (114531). Before we mounted the Not Quite Navy Card Stock to the Dusty Durango we added a piece of Dusty Durango 1/2" Polka Dot Ribbon (115609) to the card with the Polka Dots facing the card stock.

The linen image is created using Glossy White Card Stock (102599) and a sanding block (103301). To create the linen background you first sand the glossy white paper in one direction with the sanding block then you sand again at a 90 degree angle to the first sanding. Wipe off all the excess sanding dust and then proceed to the next step. For the next step you need a craft ink pad or spot. I used Creamy Caramel Craft Ink (103034) and a Stamping Sponge (101610). You ink up the sponge with the craft ink and rub it over the sanded glossy white card stock. The craft ink will settle into the sanded places on the card stock and after you buff away the excess you have a faux linen look. We used the flowers from the One of a Kind Stamp Set (113624) in Dusty Durango Classic Ink (115654) , Not Quite Navy Classic Ink (103008) and Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink (100814) to stamp the flowers on the faux linen paper. We set this aside to dry and moved on to our sentiment. The Wonderful was stamped with Not Quite Navy Classic Ink and the Friend was stamped on a piece of scrap Very Vanilla Card Stock (101650) in Dusty Durango Classic Ink then punched out with the Small Oval Punch (107304). Both the wonderful and friend are from the Wonderful Favorites Stamp Set (115114). After layering the Wonderful on a piece of Tempting Turquoise Card Stock (102067) it was mounted to the card using dimensionals the friend was also added with dimensionals. I decided the upper right hand corner needed something but I wanted it to be subtle so I went with a Photo Corner Punch (109042) in Not Quite Navy that I added some dry embossing and there you have the finished card. I hope you enjoyed learning how to faux linen. It really is an easy technique and adds that extra something to a card. Try it with a different color of craft ink and let me know what you think.

Wild About You!

Today I am sharing with you another Stamp Club card from this week. I love the stamp set Wild About You (115110). I have used it several times for Kid's Birthday Cards, Baby Cards and even Valentine's Day Cards. It is a set that I will miss having in the catalog, because retiring this month. We used a 5 1/2"x 8 1/2" base of So Saffron Card Stock (105118) but before we folded it in half we scalloped the edge with the Scallop Edge Punch (112091). We then folded the base in half. This makes the card slightly smaller than usual but not enough to notice. I used the Sweet Slumber Specialty DSP (114037) this is also on the last chance list and only available while supplies last. After attaching the Sweet Slumber paper, we cut a 4" circle with the Circle Scissor Plus (112530) and So Saffron Card Stock. Because I love the Big Shot (113439) and just can't seem to not add a little texture to my cards. We texturized the circle with the small polka dots in the Stampin'Up! Backgrounds I (114512).

Now to the stamping, we stamped the elephant from Wild About You using Baja Breeze Classic Ink Pad (111833). We then masked the elephant. Masking is simply stamping your image in our case the elephant on a post it note then cutting out the image. After you have done this you place the post it note image over the image you just stamped on your card stock. Then you stamp a new image over part of the existing one. In our case we used the little flower also from Wild About You! and inking it up with the Ruby Red (100075) and Certainly Celery (105106) Stampin' Write Markers. By masking the image it looks like the elephant is holding the flower and the stem doesn't show were his trunk is. Hope all that makes sense to you.The elephant is then attached to a Ruby Red Card Stock (102030)mat and attached to the card with Dimensionals. The Sweet Little One is from the Holidays & Wishes Stamp Set (114984) also on the Last Chance List for this month. We stamped it on Whisper White with the Ruby Red Classic Ink Pad (102259). We used the Word Window Punch (105090) to punch the Sweet Little One out and attached it to the card with SNAIL adhesive and that is our second Stamp Club card.

Just a couple of reminders, first if you are interested in purchasing either of these stamp sets they are available until the end of June. Since Stampin'Up! makes it own stamp sets they will make more to fill orders until the end of June, while the accessories that are on the Last Chance List are only available while supplies last. Don't forget Dad!

Hello, this week is club week and our final meeting time for this catalog period. I love club and getting together with all the ladies. We always have a great time. Many of them are coming back to Stamp Club when the new catalog starts but there is always room for more so if you are interested please contact me.
Since June 1st when the Last Chance List was released that has been my main focus and I was neglecting the Occasions Mini and all the wonderful set that are in it. Now of course many of these items are also only available until the end of June. If you have not yet view the Occasions Mini just click on the picture of it at the left of my blog screen. I decided to pull out And Many Mower Stamp Set (113724), now this is a set that I knew I needed as soon as I saw the mini. I don't have a lot of sets just for the men in my life and this one was just to funny and fit them all to well to pass up. For club I decided to do some In Colors because of course they will soon be leaving us and I couldn't help but use Seeing Spots Stamp Set (115058) this set is also on the Last Chance List. It is a great set for making backgrounds. I used Pacific Point Card Stock for the base of the card and with Versamark (102283) and Seeing Spots I randomly stamped spots all over the front of my card. Now whether you are a beginner stamper or a advanced Versamark is a great tool to have in your craft area. Not only does is add a watermark effect to any color of card stock (like my card above) but you can also heat emboss with it. After I stamped I stamped my main image on Confetti White Card Stock (102835) with Basic Gray Classic Ink (109120). We used blender pens (102845) to color in the image with Pacific Point (111837), Kiwi Kiss (111835), and Tangerine Tango (111834) Classic Stampin' Pads. The image is mounted on Kiwi Kiss Card Stock (111353) and attached to the front of the card using dimensionals. We added Tangerine Tango Striped Ribbon (111371) and the outside of the card was finished. Inside the card we stamped RELAX and either Happy Father's Day or Happy Birthday (all three sentiments come with the stamp set) in Jet Black Stazon Ink (101406). Not a difficult card but one that lets Dad know that you are thinking of him. Tomorrow I will be back with the second card we made at Stamp Club.

Club card share

Good afternoon, hope you are all enjoying this beautiful day. I wish we could have the great weather all weekend but I fear that will not be the case. Today I am sharing with you one of the two projects that we made at club this week. Of course it uses products from the Occasions Mini. If I haven't mentioned it before I love this mini! :) It has so many great new products in it and of course it is nice that everything is available until the end of June. It gives everyone plenty of time to get the goodies from it. Today's card is a pretty simple layout and one I tend to use from time to time. It can be changed so easily just by changing a few accessories. I started with a Baja Breeze Base and after folding it in half I stamped the Butterfly from the Great Friends Stamp Set randomly on the card with Baja Breeze Classic Ink. I used the Eyelet Border Punch again today to punch out the white strips that are above and below the Walk in the Park DSP. I also added the 5/8" Whisper White Satin Ribbon after I knotted it on one end. This was wrapped around the DSP and I Snail Adhesived the end to the back. The sentiment is also from the Great Friends Stamp Set and is stamped on Whisper White Card stock in Basic Gray. Again today I punched out the sentiment with the Large Oval Punch and mounted it on a Scallop Oval Punch out in Cameo Carol. The finishing touch is the Baja Breeze felt flower from the Flower Fusion Set. I added a silver brad in the middle and added it to the scallop oval. The card would be great for a Birthday, Mother's Day or any other special occasion that you may have. I'm Back from the Easter Break!

Good morning everyone! I took a couple of days off from posting because the kids were home from school and of course it was Easter! We had a great weekend and I am so thankful that the rain held off until after we got to do the egg hunt at my Grandma's. I am hoping I got some good pictures that I will be able to scrapbook with. I hope that your families all had a great Easter, too! Today's card is the third in my Oval All Class. I love the new Oval All Stamp Set it is just so much fun to use and the Scallop Oval is a must in my opinion. I really don't know how I got along without it. Those of you that are attending Stamp Club this week will get to use it for yourself. I also used the Butterfly Die for the Big Shot and added clear rhinestones that I removed from the clear Rhinestones Brads. I added the butterfly's flight with the Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker to help give the card something extra. All supplies are of course from Stampin'UP as is everything on my blog.
