New Triple Punch!

Good afternoon! Today I wanted to share with you another one of the cards we did for Stamp Club this week. We used the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch and the Bold Blossom Stamp Set from the Summer Mini. The new Triple Punches are quite fun in that you get three different punch options in one punch. We used all three options on this card. The colors we used are In Colors which include Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz and then we also used Regal Rose. Demonstrators got to see one of the new In Colors for the July Catalog this week and it is a new Light Purple color. I can't wait to see the other four new colors, but back to the card. We used Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink for the sentiment and the flower Stems. Additional punches that we used are the Itty Bitty Shape Punch Pack, 1 3/4 x 7/8" Oval Punch. The accessories we used are the Whisper White Baker's Twine, the Pear Pizzazz 1/2 Stitched Poly Ribbon and the Bitty Buttons. If this card looks familiar it is because I used the same layout last week with the Fun Flowers Die and I knew when I made it that I would have to try it again with the new Triple Punch. Same Supplies Two different Cards

Good morning, yesterday while I was playing around with the Island Oasis Designer Series Paper (why I didn't start using this paper sooner I have no idea) I had plans to make the card on the left. Simple yet pretty nothing to complicated, well I was looking at the extra pieces and the back of the sheet of Designer Series Paper and decided to make a second card with the leftovers. For the first card I used Tempting Turquoise Card Stock, Island Oasis Designer Series Paper, Whisper White Card Stock, 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, Wide Oval Punch and my Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Write Marker. My Tempting Turquoise Stamp Pad has gone missing and I can not find it any where if you have seen it please send it home so that the other stamp pads can be reunited with it. :) I also used the Perfect Punches Stamp Set and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch on the first card.
The second card uses the other half of my sheet of Tempting Turquoise Card Stock and on the other side of the Polka Dot Paper is the lattice looking design with Old Olive and So Saffron. I changed this card to a horizontal card and textured half of the front with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Die and the Big Shot. Then I used the Modern Label Punch and Punched out the bottom right side of the card. I used the punch out and my Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set to make the sentiment that is inside the card, but shows through on the outside. The smaller picture is a close up of that area. Then I just added a strip of Old Olive Card Stock to my Designer Series Paper before adding it to the nontextured side of the card. Pretty simple yet great for a guy card and easy to mail as there are no embellishments to cause problems.

More Fun and Fast Birthday Cards!

Good afternoon, I don't usually post two projects in one day but since this uses the Island Oasis Designer Series Paper that will not be available after tomorrow I thought I would share it with you today. It is another Fast and Simple Birthday card that I made today. I made two others that I will share with you tomorrow. I used Pumpkin Pie Card Stock for the base and added Polka Dots to the top with the Polka Dot Texture Impressions Folder (just on the top half). I cut the Designer Series Paper into strips and then staggered them. The name of the technique is escaping me at this moment but I will add it later. Then to finish off the card I used the Perfect Punches Stamp Set and the Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red, and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the image then punched it out with the Wide Oval Punch. I added a Pumpkin Pie flower button with a Mini Glue Dot just because the swirl under the Happy Birthday reminded me of a flower stem. Now I have another Birthday card ready to send out. Quick and Easy Birthday Card

Good morning it is Monday and after a weekend of no stamping I am ready to start making some new cards and other projects. Today's card is a quick and easy one that I made last week. It features the Island Oasis Designer Series Paper that is only available through tomorrow. September is a big birthday month in our family and I need lots of cards. I am not sure this one will be used for this month but it really would be great to make a bunch up with different Designer Series Papers and have on hand just in case a birthday creeps up on you. Not that that ever happens at our house. The stamp set I used is Afterthoughts and is a level 1 hostess set which is super easy to earn with a $150 party or order. The rest of the card consists of So Saffron Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Tempting Turquoise and Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Markers, 5/8" Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon and the Curly Label Punch. The window of the card was made with the Big Shot and the Movers and Shapers Curly Label Die. I am going to keep this short so I can head off to stamp and make some more cards. 4th of July and Cherry Pie!

Ok, well it isn't really Cherry Pie but it is one of the newest colors that Stampin'Up! has added this year and I really am loving it! It is called Cherry Cobbler and I am not sure my picture really does it justice. It is much richer in person. I have been pretty bad about not stamping this week. Our family has been so busy with Baseball Tournament, Cross Country and I had a class earlier this week for a group of teenagers (which I loved working with) that today I really was feeling the need to stamp. Do you ever have days like that? You just get the urge to stamp and you just have to do it even if there is laundry, cleaning and all those chores to do. If you understand you are probably a demonstrator or should be. ;) So today's card is my salute to the 4th of July! I love the 4th and all that it means. For our family it is a time to get together and really enjoy being a family. Now when I say family I mean FAMILY! Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Parents, Grandparents, Kids Galore! It is a big celebration and my Brother and Sister-in-law host it. Sorry to get a little off track back to the card. I used three colors and wanted a vintage feel with this card. The Ink and Card Stock used are Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, and Night of Navy. I also used the Stamp Set July Fourth which includes the fireworks in the background and the sentiment set which was inked up with the Night of Navy Marker and the Cherry Cobbler Marker and punched out the the Curly Label Extra Large Punch. The Night of Navy ruffle was made by punching out the edge with the Eyelet Border Punch then running the card stock through the Crimper. I used a piece of Sticky Strip along the Cherry Cobbler Card Stock to attach the Night of Navy Card Stock, scrunching it as I went. The Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon was dyed with the Crumb Cake Marker to match the card. It looks a little darker in the picture but I think that is my camera. It looks really close in person. The final touch to the card was the Chunky Essentials White Glitter that I added with Two Way Glue to give the card that little extra touch. There you have my salute to the 4th. What do you think? Dad's Ride

At Stamp Club this week we made a Father's Day Card that uses new supplies from the Summer Mini. The Summer Mini is full of lots great stamp sets, Designer Series Paper and accessories. I knew as soon as I saw the mini that I would have to buy the Motorcycle Stamp. My husband really likes motorcycles and used to own them before we were married. This card is perfect for him. A Little Hot Water

Ok so I wasn't sure exactly what title to use for this post. The host water I am referring to is of course for the tea bag. No one is in hot water here at the moment. I saw a card similar this layout with a teabag but I can't remember what blog I saw it on, so if you know or it is yours please leave me a comment and I will add proper credit. Now back to the card. I am using all the retiring items that I can this week to show you some of the products that are retiring. On this card it is the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper and the Petal Card Big Shot Die. It is the perfect size to hold my tea bag. Red, White, and Blue!

Memorial Day is almost here and I thought I would share this card that I CASE'd from the Summer Mini. I just love this set and wheel and thought the card in the mini really was great. I made a few minor changes but for the most part it is the same. This card would also be perfect for 4th of July Invites. Birthday Fun!

Hello all! Sorry for not posting much the last few days. Life has been busy with so much going on in our family. It has been fun and I do have some projects to share but just haven't had time to write up the posts. So today I am sharing with you a Birthday card that I made for my niece recently. She just turned 9 and is quite the kid. She likes thinks bright so I though a tempting turquoise card was in order. I used the new Island Oasis Designer Series Paper that has been Scalloped along the bottom with the Scallop Edge Punch. Then I pulled out my Bitty Birthday Stamp Set and started stamping. Each image is stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad. I used So Saffron, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise, and Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink Pads and Blender Pens to color in the images. They were layered behind So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red Card Stock. To finish up the card I added the Happy Birthday sentiment to the bottom of the card and layered it behind a Modern Label Punch with a few Silver Brads. I think she liked the card and she even commented that she had the one I made her from last year still. Makes me feel good to have her say that. Red Toile by Kaylee

Hello, this as not been a stamping weekend but rather a cleaning weekend. Yuck! not my favorite activity but sometimes it does have to be done. Today I am sharing a card my Daughter did in the style of the one a shared last week. I really like the Real Red as it really makes me think of the Toile Fabrics that you see in so many design styles. This is also one of the cards that we will be making next week at my Elements of Style Class. If you would like to attend there are two options.

12x12 Birthday Design

Hello, well the sun is shining so I took pictures of the projects that I have been working on so that I can share them with you. Today's post is the continuation of the 6x6 Scrapbook page that we made for club this week. There are so many options when it comes to scrapbooking but 12x12 is a very common size and one that I use when I find time to scrapbook. To make this page I continued with the color theme of Brocade Blue, Crushed Curry and Real Red. The 12x12 is Brocade Blue and then all color blocks will be for pictures which I will add later. I did a Whisper White Journal Box below the 6x6 page and added a few stars from the July Fourth Stamp Set. It may be hard to see but I used Versamark and randomly added stars to the background for extra interest. The Photo Punch comes in handy for adding a little extra something to the corner of your photos and the Brocade Blue layer is texturized with the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Square Lattice. The page is now complete. Well, that is it for the day, I am going to try and get a few new projects started. Lots of ideas and so little time. Elements of Style Take ?

I have several projects to share but unfortunately the weather is not cooperating as it has been rainy and yucky which does not make for good picture taking. So I will share with you the second project that we made for club this week. I know that I have been using this set a lot in the last few weeks but it really it my favorite set in the Summer Mini. It takes a little while to watercolor the whole floral image so for club we used Spotlighting to accent just a few of the flowers. To do this you need to stamp you image twice with Basic Gray Classic Ink Pad and then punch out one part of your image with one of the circle or even square punches. We used the 1 1/4" Circle Punch. We watercolored the punched out area with the Aquapainter and Old Olive, Cameo Coral and Ruby Red Classic Stamp Pads. We used the 1 3/8" Circle Punch to add a Old Olive Card Stock layer behind the 1 1/4" Circle. The Hummingbird was made using Rock n Roll. We inked up the hummingbird with Cameo Coral Classic Ink Pad and then rolled the edges on the Ruby Red Classic Ink Pad. We cut out the hummingbird then attached it to the card using a small piece of Whisper White Card Stock that was folded it into a Z shape and attached it to the card and hummingbird with a Mini Glue Dot. This makes the hummingbird appear to be in flight and give it movement. The base of the card stock is Cameo Coral and the swirl image was used on the base of the card stock. Ruby Red Card Stock that was layered behind the floral image has the bottom edge punched out with the Eyelet Border Punch. Just a quick reminder both Cameo Coral and Ruby Red are two of the retiring colors that are only available while supplies last.

Builder Wheel Scrapbook Page

This month for club since it is National Scrapbooking month I thought it would be nice to make a scrapbook page. I used some new and some soon to be old. The base of the scrapbook page is 6x6 and is Crushed Curry Card Stock. I then used the new Builder Wheels Birthday and So Many Stars. The two wheels inked with Crushed Curry Classic Stampin' Pad and rolled across the Whisper White Card Stock. If you use two wheels with the spacer in the middle it allows you to add a 5/8" ribbon which is just what I did on this page. I used the soon to be retiring Brocade Blue 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon. I simply knotted it and added it to the page. I added Real Red Card Stock behind the Whisper White Wheeled Image, then I added a mat for a photo in Real Red Card Stock. The birthday candles are from the stamp set July Fourth which is new in the Summer Mini. I stamped it three times once in each of the following colors Crushed Curry, Real Red, and Brocade Blue. The flame was made with the 5 Petal Punch. You punch one out from Crushed Curry Card Stock then put a single petal back into the punch and punch it again making a small oval. I added 2 Way glue and Dazzling Diamonds to give the flame some sparkle. The Brocade Blue Scallop is made with the Pennant Bigz XL Die. It fits perfectly with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch that I used to punch out the Candle images.
I also created a 12x12 page with this page as a feature to show how easy it is to turn a 6x6 page into a 12x12 page. I will share that with you another day. ;) I need to take the picture first. Elegant So Saffron

Are you tired of this stamp set yet? I just love the look of it and I am working on different options for stamping with it. I really want to stamp it on a tile but I haven't had a chance yet. The card today is my Mom's Mother's Day Card. One of her favorite colors is yellow so I picked So Saffron Card Stock. I stamped the swirl stamp all over the base with the So Saffron Classic Stamp Pad then I sponged the edges with a sponge dauber. The floral image is stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad. I watercolored with the Aquapainter, So Saffron Classic Ink, More Mustard Classic Ink, and Old Olive Classic Ink. I sponged the edges a little with So Saffron before matting it on Basic Gray Card Stock. I added 5/8" Satin Basic Gray Ribbon. To finish off the card I added the For You sentiment to the bottom corner. If you would like to order this stamp set you can order it online or by contacting me. Pink Toile Card

Hello and thanks for stopping by. I made today's card yesterday and I must admit that I am ready to make more in other color combos. I have saw some beautiful cards made with the Element of Style Stamp Set that were done in a monochromatic color scheme and they reminded me of Toile Fabric so I had to give one a try. I decided to use Pretty in Pink for my color scheme and Whisper White. I stamped the floral image several times on the Whisper White Card Stock with the Pretty in Pink Classic Stamp Pad and adhered it to my Pretty in Pink Card stock base. I added the 5/8" Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon around the left hand side. I next stamped the Life is a matter of moments sentiment on Whisper White Card Stock with Pretty in Pink and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch and adhered it to a Pretty in Pink Scallop Oval Punch. The sentiment was added to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and it is ready to send. After making the card I googled Toile and discovered some other fun color combos including a yellow with black that I think would look fantastic with our new Daffodil Delight Card Stock. Vintage Smooch

The Summer Mini has started and it really really is filled with great new products. When I received my copy of the Summer Mini one of the first sets I just knew I had to have was Elements of Style. This is one of the cards that we made last month for my Hostess Appreciation Night. The base is Crumb Cake Card Stock, AKA Kraft Card Stock. I also used Rich Razzleberry Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock. I used the Sahara Sand Classic Stamp Pad to add the swirl to the Crumb Cake Card Stock. Then I used the Color Spritzer to add a more vintage look. I used the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker, Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Marker, and Sahara Sand Stampin' Write Marker. I stamped the Floral Image with Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad, then watercolored the image with Rich Razzleberry Classic Stamp Pad, Always Artichoke Classic Stamp Pad, and Pretty in Pink Classic Stamp Pad. The sentiment is also included with the stamp set and is also stamped with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad and framed with the Very Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware. To finish off the card and give it more of a elegant vintage feel, I used the new Very Vanilla Smooch Spritz to give it a very shimmery look. My daughter was so excited that we can now make Very Vanilla Shimmer Paper. Well, actually you can add shimmer to any Card Stock. I think you can see the shimmer a little better in the second picture. Today I will be working on a class using this stamp set. Summer Mini!

The Summer Mini starts today and if you haven't had a chance to take a look well, what are you waiting for. This Mini has fun new stamp set in both clear and wood mount, new Big Shot Die and new Punches just to mention a few items. Oh wait I just about forgot the new Smooch Spritz. It is so much fun and I will be sharing a card soon that I used the Smooch Spritz on. If you like to add a little shimmer to your cards then you will want to order Smooch Spritz soon. It comes in four colors Gold Glow (118770), Silver Foil (118771), Vanilla Shimmer (118772), and Log Cabin (119921). I have only tried the Vanilla Shimmer but I plan to order more soon! New Birthday Wheels!

The Summer Mini has been arriving in mailboxes so I thought I would start sharing some of the cards I have made with the new products. This card is one that we made at the Hostess Appreciation Night. I haven't used my wheels much. I get them maybe use them on a project but then I forget about them and the set. Is anyone else guilty of this? Please tell me yes as I would hate to be the only one. Well, Stampin'Up! has is introducing a new take on the wheels. Instead of one single jumbo wheel you have the option of adding one, two or three Builder wheels to make the design of your choice. I really like the option I used on this card with one wheel at the top and the bottom and a space between for the ribbon. This was so easy to accomplish with the new wheels. You just add one wheel then the spacer then the second wheel and roll like usual. The other super neat think is that we now have three cell jumbo cartridges so that you can make your own color combos for inking up your wheels. This is a fun idea and since I only bought one three cell cartridge I haven't inked mine yet because I can't decide what colors I want to use first. There are just two many color combos available so I would definitely get more than one on May 1st so that you can do more than one color combo. The base of the card is Melon Mambo Card Stock which will be a In Color that is moving into the Brights Collection on July 1st. Then I paired it with Night of Navy and Brocade Blue. Now Brocade Blue will be retiring so if you love this color please don't forget to stock up on card stock, a reinker and teh 5/8" Grograin Ribbon. The wheels for this project are called Birthday Day and So Many Stars. I used the Melon Mambo Classic Ink Pad to ink the wheels and rolled them across the Whisper White Card Stock. I added a layer of Night of Navy Card Stock behind the Whisper White Card Stock. The tag is made with the new stamp set July Fourth. It is really hard to see in this picture but there are stars added to the base of the card with Versamark. The firecracker in this set make perfect birthday candles. I inked up the firecracker three different times and stamped with Melon Mambo, Night of Navy and Brocade Blue Classic Stampin' Pads. The flame was made with the Five Petal Punch and So Saffron Card Stock. You punch out one Flower then insert one petal back in and punch again to give you the flame. The flames were attached with Mini Glue Dots and then 2 Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds was added to give it some sparkle. The Scallop is from the Pennant Bigz Xl Die, the Big Shot and Brocade Blue Card Stock.
