Turtle Time

Good evening! When I was working on the Baby Shower Invites that I showed you last week I decided to case a layout from the 2010-2011 Catalog and make another card with the cute little turtle. I started with a base of Pear Pizzazz and added some Perfect Polka Dot Texture with the Big Shot. I then added some Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Bashful Blue Patterns Designer Series Paper and Old Olive Card Stock in strips to the center of the card. I stamed the turtle from Fox and Friends using Old Olive and Early Espresso Stampin' Write Markers to ink him up. I colored a few of his spots with the So Saffron and Bashful Blue Stampin' Write Marker before I punched it out with the Wide Oval Punch. I added the oval to the center of the strips and it makes a nice focal point. I added a sentiment (which is now retired) to the bottom by stamping it on Pear Pizzazz Card Stock and then punching it out with the Word Window Punch. All ready to send to a new baby or add to a shower gift.
Today I have been busy working on swap cards and have one more design to go before Monday, plus I have Christmas Card ideas floating around so I will have details soon on my Christmas In July Class. Thanks for stopping by, if you haven't all ready checked out my Product Shares please scroll down and take a look. Enjoy the rest of your day, Tonya

Monkeys, Turtles and Giraffes Oh, my!

We have our Monthly Club meeting tonight and since this is the final month to order from the Occasions Mini I thought I should show one more stamp set off. When the mini came out I just knew I had to get this set called Fox and Friends. I love how cute and fun the animals are and it is really perfect for so many occasions. Today's card really doesn't have a specific occasion in mind but it would work for a birthday card or even a new baby card. I could also give it to my kindergartner when he graduates. Anyway back to the card. I stared with a base of So Saffron Card Stock and used the 3/16" Corner Rounder on the bottom corners. I then added the Designer Series Paper (I rounded the corners of the Designer Series Paper also) from the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack. This Stack has a lot of fun papers! I really need to use it more before the end of the month. I do hope we have more fun prints like this in the new Catalog and Idea Book that will be coming out in July. I stamped the three animals on Whisper White Card Stock with the following Ink colors. Turtle- Old Olive Classic Stamp Pad, Monkey- Chocolate Chip Classic Stamp Pad, Giraffe- So Saffron Classic Stamp Pad. I also used the Family Phrases Stamp Set and stamped the love you much with Chocolate Chip Classic Stamp Pad. I then punched out all the images with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and layered them on So Saffron Card Stock, Chocolate Chip Card Stock and Old Olive Card Stock punched out with the Scallop Circle Punch. The Scallop Circles are added to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. No card is complete without a few dimensionals. ;) I added the wonderful 5/8" Satin Old Olive Ribbon to finish off the card. I hope you enjoyed today's card and remember time is running out to place your Occasions Mini Orders. If you are interested in placing an order it is as easy as going to my website or giving me a call. I will be happy to help you if you don't currently have a demonstrator. Your order can be shipped anywhere in the US. Have a great day and as always thank you for stopping by, Tonya

New Baby Fun!

Good morning, hope you are having a great weekend. The sun is shining which is a big plus. A couple of days ago I shared a card that I had CASE'd from one that Renee VanStralen had made. This is the second card that I had made that day using the same layout. The base is Pretty in Pink Card Stock, I also used Whisper White and Rose Red Card Stock, the Designer Series Paper is from Tea Party. I used two stamp sets Fox and Friends and Family Phrases. The ribbon is Pretty in Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon and there are three punches used on this card, the Scallop Edge Punch, Scallop Circle Punch and the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I inked up the whale with the Pretty in Pink and Rose Red Stampin' Write Markers. It is really hard to see in this picture but on the upper part of the card I have stamped happy new baby in Pretty in Pink Classic Ink. Nothing to fancy about the card just simple and sweet.
I am off to finish getting kids ready for the day. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by, Tonya
