Elegant Always
Good evening, I wanted to share with you the other club card we made this week. It features a new technique called Wet Stamping. It uses Watercolor Paper, Aquapainter and it really fun and quite easy to do. First you need to wet your Watercolor Paper with the Aquapainter until the paper is damp but not to wet. Then stamp with a light color that has a complimentary color such as Blushing Bride and Perfect Plum Classic Ink such as in this card. You will notice that the lighter color will bleed after you stamp it that is normal and what you will want it to do. Set the watercolor paper aside to dry and continue with the rest of the card which include Elegant Eggplant Card Stock, Regal Rose Card Stock, Perfect Plum Card Stock and Very Vanilla Card Stock. The Big Shot was used to add texture with the help of the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder. The stamp sets are Fifth Avenue Floral and Happy Greetings which is from the Summer Mini. The Happiness Always is stamped with Basic Gray Classic Ink and then punched out with the Wide Oval Punch it was mounted on the Decorative Label Punch. To accent the bottom of the card we added a strip of Regal Rose Card Stock that was punched out with the Lace Ribbon Punch. After your watercolor paper has dried you will need the Stamp-a-ma-jig and a darker color such as Elegant Eggplant and Regal Rose. You will use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the flower stamps again and stamp with over the lighter color with the darker color. This helps give you a bolder more defined look over each image. If you have any questions please let me know and I will do a picture or video tutorial.
Well, I am off I have my nephew and nieces over and we are watching a movie. Thanks for stopping by and I will see you again on Monday. Tonya
