Sneak Peak Perfect Punch

Today's card is one of the final ones that we did on Friday night and it includes a sneak peak at one of the new stamp sets that is available tomorrow after Noon Mountain time. The card is again fairly simple which was good when we were also doing a Forget Me Not Keeper Box. The supplies used are: Rich Razzleberry Card Stock (so glad we are keeping this color), Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper, Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Perfect Punches Stamp Set (available tomorrow), Scallop Oval Punch, Movers and Shapers Punch Windows.
Today is the last day to place an order from the 2009-2010 Catalog and Idea Book and the Definitely Decorative Catalog. The Stampin'Up! Ordering system will be down tomorrow from Midnight to Noon Mountain time so you will not be able to place orders. If you still want to order a retiring items contact me as soon as possible or go to my website and place your order online. I will be sending out and email later today or in the morning for the product shares that I will be offering this catalog period. There are so many new accessories in so many new colors that I am offering quite a few shares. Thanks and have a great day, Tonya

Today's card is one that we made Friday night and uses one of my favorite Designer Series Papers Razzleberry Lemonade. It is currently on sale while supplies last. Razzleberry Quilt Card

Hello, hope you are having a great weekend. Ours has been busy to start but this afternoon we have been able to just kick back and watch some World Cup Soccer. Unfortunately the USA lost in a great match. We have evening activities planned but I wanted to share with you a card we made last night at my Forget Me Not Keeper Class. I have made several quilt cards before but I have never turned it made it this way. The cards we made last night all used left over pieces of Designer Series Paper that I had after I cut for the Forget Me Not Keepers and a quilt card is a great use of small pieces of Designer Paper. All you need to do is punch our 12 squares with the 1 1/4" Square Punch and SNAIL them to a piece of card stock that is 3 3/4" x 5", then run that through the Big Shot with the Top Note Die. It may be hard to see but the Quilt was Embossed with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder. We used a little of the Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon with a knot tied in the middle and we used the Melon Mambo Classic Stamp Pad to stamp the sentiment from the Great Friend Stamp Set. The base of the card is Pumpkin Pie. Just a reminder that the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper used on this card is retiring and currently on sale.
On another note my catalogs arrived yesterday and are available to pick up. If you are a local customer contact me to get yours. Well, I am off sorry for the quick post but I did want to share the card with you today. Over the next few days I will share the other cards we did last night. Only a few more days until the new catalog starts have you placed your order for the retiring items that you want? Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back again, Tonya

Paper Bag Scrapbook

Hello and good evening! Today's project is inspired by my daughter's Paper Bag Scrapbook that she made in class this year. I really thought it was fun and since I hadn't tried one and had some time to play around I gave it a try. So here are a few pages and the cover design. I think this would make a great class or project for teens. I used 4 paper bags and punched the holes with the Crop-a-dile for the ribbon. I used the soon to be retired Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon and the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper (which is on sale and retiring soon)and the Enjoy Life Stamp Set (also retiring) to decorate the Paper Bag Album. One really neat thing I discovered and didn't add a picture of but will later is that the journal circle stamp that comes with the Enjoy Life Stamp Set fit perfectly with the new 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch that will be available July 1st. So be sure and order your stamp set before it retires. I did add a couple of Whisper White pages that can be pulled out from the open end of the paper bag so that you can add extra pictures or you could also add tickets from movies, or other items you want to keep. There are several punches used including the Round Tab Extra Large Punch, 5 Petal Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch and the Photo Corner Extra Large Punch. Remember that all the current punches are being retired and most are being redesigned to the new flat style that we have had in our recent Mini Catalogs.
I hope you enjoyed today's project and if you would like to make your own Paper Bag Scrapbook or schedule a class for you and your friends contact me and I will be happy to set up a time with you.
I am excited that my catalogs will be arriving tomorrow and will be ready for everyone to look through and start their wish list before July 1st. I will also drop off the ones that need to be spiral bound tomorrow or Saturday depending on when they arrive. Tomorrow night I have a class and I will share some of the cards we will be making at the class over the next few days. I hope you are having a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

New In Colors For You!

Good afternoon, I hope you are having a great day! We have been busy and have a full evening planned if it doesn't rain. Our last regular season baseball game is tonight so I am really, really, really, hoping we get to play it. I know that you didn't stop by today to hear about our evening activities now did you ? I do have a new card to share with you and it contains New In Colors and a retiring stamp set. A little mix of something old something new. ;) The stamp set I used is One of a Kind and it is only available until June 30 so if you want to buy it please don't forget. It also has a coordinating punch for the three flowers that are on the upper most Right hand corner. This card is a little different in size in that it is a 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" finished card. The base is the new Concord Crush Card Stock and I also used Peach Parfait Card Stock and Whisper White Card Stock. I don't have the stamp pads yet for the new In Colors as they aren't available at this time so I used the In Color Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the flowers. I added Pear Pizzazz to the card and I really like this color combo. It is so fresh and fun! The markers and card stock will be available to purchase on July 1. Contact me if you would like to see a new catalog or earn one for free. Anyone that signs up for club (that will be starting in August) or who host a workshop in July will get an added bonus in that I will have your catalog spiral bound for you. I really like the spiral bound catalogs because they are so much easier to look at and of course make out my wish list. If you would like to schedule a workshop or join my Stamp Club contact me. Oh and my case of catalogs will be arriving on Friday! Yep in just a few short days. See why it really is a great day! I am off to do some more sewing on the Quilt Blocks. I have 10 done so far only 71 more to go. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Marina Mist meets Cherry Cobbler

Hello! I have been playing with the new colors and I am loving them! There are so many combos that I am excited to try but for today I thought I would share with you a Marina Mist and Cherry Cobbler Combo. Cherry Cobbler is definitely one of my favorite new colors. I started with a base of Marina Mist Card Stock and I sponged it with the Marina Mist Classic Ink Pad. I added a strip of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock and then a sponged piece of Presto Patterns Specialty Paper. This is my first time using the Presto Patterns Paper. Yes, I have had it a while but just didn't get around to trying it. I wish I had tried it earlier it is fun to use and there are so many possibilities. You can sponge it in any color. How great it that! I then pulled out the Dreams du Jour Stamp Set and created the stamped image. I stamped it twice. Once with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad and once with the Cherry Cobbler Classic Stamp Pad. I cut out the Dreams portion of the Cherry Cobbler image and after I watercolored the Basic Gray Image I added the Dreams with Mini Glue Dots, a couple of layers of card stock and this card is ready to send. If you like these colors they will be available to purchase on July 1st. Well, that is all for today. We have baseball games again tonight and I am going to start sewing my quilt blocks for the quilt block swap I am in at Convention this year. If you have any questions or if you would like to schedule a workshop for July so that you can try the new colors for yourself just let me know. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Yet Another Quilted Purse

Hello, no stamping project for right now. We have a busy day ahead of us and I am hoping to get to stamp later but no promises. So for now I thought I would share one of the Purses/Book Bags that I made for the end of the year teacher gifts. This one went to my oldest son's teacher. He enjoyed having her this past year and will continue to have her for History the next two years. I took each of the kids shopping to pick out the fabric that they thought best suited their teacher. This fabric is so very pretty in person not sure if the pictures really show how pretty it is. It has a shimmer to it and a little bit of gold that is really hard to see.
I am getting ready to start a new sewing project. One of the swaps that I signed up for at Convention is a Quilt Square Swap. We will each be making squares with Ivory Fabric and the Clear Flower Die. I am signed up for 7 groups or 70 squares. I can't wait to get started and to go shopping for new fabric. If you would like more information on quilting with the Big Shot contact me and I will be happy to tell you more about it. Okay, enough for now. Need to get the kids ready to head out to school to do a little work in the library. We have two ball games again tonight and there is a Boy Scout Ceremony that we are hoping to get to also. I love summer! Thanks for stopping by and I will be back to showing stamped projects soon. Happy Stampin' Tonya

Elements of Style Scrapbook Page

Good afternoon, wasn't sure what I wanted to post today. I have been working on some new catalog projects and thought I would wait a little while to show you those so for today I am going to share a 6 x 6" Scrapbook page that we made in May for my Elements of Style Class. I love this set and find it to be very versatile. For most of my projects I have used the Floral image but for this one I thought the Hummingbird would make a nice accent. The supplies I used are Old Olive Card Stock, Ruby Red Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Old Olive Classic Stamp Pad, Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker, Ruby Red Stampin' Write Marker, Certainly Celery Stampin' Write Marker, Certainly Celery 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Curly Label Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL. After looking different types of hummingbirds online I finally decided to make mine by using the Stampin' Write Markers and inking up the head with Old Olive, the Chest with Ruby Red and the body first with Certainly Celery and then the edges again with Old Olive. I have provided a close up so that you can see the detail better. If you have any questions or you would like to purchase this stamp set please let me know. We are headed to the baseball field later tonight. We have games for both our teams but after the rainy days we have had I am excited to get back to playing ball. Have a great day, Tonya

Petal Card Treats

Good morning, it is another rainy morning here but that won't stop us from our usual activities. Before we head out I thought I would share with you our final club project from last week. I don't usually do three projects but there was just so much going on this week that I couldn't resist. The Petal Card Treats are super easy. All you really need is a little Sticky Strip, Petal Card Bigz Die, Big Shot and some Card Stock or Designer Series Paper and you are ready to go. The supplies for the treat holder are:
Big Shot, Petal Card Bigz Die (retiring), Tea Party Designer Series Paper (retiring), Sticky Strip, Whisper White Card Stock, So Saffron Card Stock, Very Thankful Stamp Set (retiring), So Saffron, Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Almost Amethyst (retiring) Stampin' Write Markers. The Very Thankful Stamp Set is our Ronald McDonald House Charities and for every set purchased $2 is given to the charity. Every year a new set is released and I always make sure I purchase one.
As you can tell from the pictures the Petal Card makes the perfect sized treat holder for the Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares, they also will hold a tea bag and I am sure other small candies. These would make great shower favors, wedding favors, or a special surprise for a loved one. Don't forget to order yours before it retires. Thanks for stopping by I am off for the day but if you have any questions just leave me a comment and I will be happy to answer them. Tonya

Starring You Birthday!

Hello and Happy Monday! We had a fun weekend at our house even though the rain changed a few of our plans. I can't believe how quickly this month is passing. Have you had a chance to place your order for the retiring stamp sets or accessories? If not don't delay as the list of sold out items sets longer all every day. For today's post I used the soon to be retired Starring You Stamp Set, but I also used some a returning Incolor and other colors from our new Brights Collection. I spent part of my weekend reorganizing my Card Stock Collection and I really love how the new Collections look together and I think I will be using the Brights Collection a lot more. Supplies used are: Starring You Stamp Set, Pacific Point Card Stock and Classic Stamp Pad, Real Red Card Stock and Classic Stamp Pad, Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and Classic Stamp Pad, Whisper White Card Stock, Star Punch and 1 3/8" Circle Punch. This card went to a special friend of my youngest. We had a lot of fun at his party and I hope he enjoyed his card. Well, I am off to work on a Paper Bag Scrapbook that I will have ready to show you later this week. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Elements of Style Tile

Hello! I have been busy this week working on a couple of projects that aren't quite ready to share yet so I thought I would share a Elements of Style Ceramic Tile that I made recently. I had been wanting to make one of these since I got this set. Now of course life seemed to make it hard to find the time but I finally did squeeze in just a little bit of time. ;) I stamped the Floral Image with Black Stazon Ink and then colored all the images with my Stampin' Pastels. I really need to pull them out more and use them. I used Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink and Rose Red Pastels, then sealed the tile with a Acrylic Sealer. I tried the Vanilla Smooch but found out the hard way that it doesn't seal the tile. I was very sad to discover this as it meant I had to do the tile over again. I use a tile like this one with my Heat Tool. It gives me a safe surface to work on just allow your Sealer a couple of days to dry.
Don't forget that right now you can sign up to become a Demonstrator for only $99. That means with one workshop of just $500 you have already made back the cost of your kit. Give me a call if you have any questions or if you would like to join my team of demonstrators.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend, Tonya

Good morning, I wanted to let you know that the previous list I listed was not a complete list. I was only looking at the backorder list and not the full Accessories List. The Sold out list is getting quite large and instead of just listing all the items I have provided a link to the complete list that includes all the items retiring and which are on sale, sold out etc. Please let me know if you have any problems with the list or placing an order. I will be happy to assist you. Thanks, Tonya

At Stamp Club this week we made a Father's Day Card that uses new supplies from the Summer Mini. The Summer Mini is full of lots great stamp sets, Designer Series Paper and accessories. If you have any questions please let me know and I will be happy to answer them.
Supplies: Motorcycle Stamp, Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, Pumpkin Pie Card Stock, Night of Navy Card Stock, Garden Green Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Pumpkin Pie Classic Stamp Pad, Night of Navy Classic Stamp Pad, Travel Journal Designer Series Paper, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Silver Brads, and the Word Window Punch. Baby Wipe Technique

Good morning, I haven't had much time for posting the last few days. I have been busy working on projects and of course hanging out with the kids. Today's card is one that we made last night for Stamp Club. I of course wanted to use a few retiring items and decided to use the True Friends Stamp Set. I have been encouraging everyone to pick up reinkers for all the retiring colors so that you can always reink your stamp pads and keep them good for years to come but Reinkers are also great for several techniques including the one we did last night which is a Baby Wipe Technique. This technique is fairly simple. All you need is a paper or styrofoam plate, baby wipes and reinkers. You are going to create your own multicolored stamp pad with these items. Fold the baby wipe in half once and place on your plate. Start with your darkest reinker which for this card was Rose Red. Place three drops on the baby wipe then add your next color (Cameo Coral which is retiring) we placed five or six drops on the wipe and then filled in with the lightest color which was Barely Banana (also retiring). The drops will spread and make a multicolor stamp pad. You then ink up your stamp and stamp as usual. The background and main flower are stamped with the baby wipe. We also used Cameo Coral, Barely Banana, Rose Red and Whisper White Card Stock. The Cameo Coral and Barely Banana are retiring colors and are available while supplies last. The only other item used on the card besides adhesive is Rose Red 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon which is also on the retirement list. If you would like to purchase the supplies to make this card you can contact me or order them online. Tomorrow I will be back with a Father's Day card that has supplies from the Summer Mini. Have a great day and let me know if you have any questions about any of my projects. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Top Dawgs Bag

Hello, for my second post of the day I wanted to show you a sewing project that I completed last month. I made book bags for all of my children's teachers and this was my daughter's fabric choice for her teacher. The class news letter is The Top Dawgs and she thought that dog fabric would be very fitting. I used the Big Shot Die Cut Machine and the Scallop Square Clear Die to cut out all the fabric minus the straps. Then just a little batting and a sewing machine and you are ready to sew. I am now looking at the Big Shot Dies a little differently trying to plan out a quilting project as well as paper projects. If you would like to learn more about the Big Shot and all the different project ideas then contact me. If you don't have a Big Shot yet we can set up a demonstration. Thanks for stopping by again today and if this is your first stop to my blog today then be sure and scroll down to the card I posted this morning.
Have a great weekend, Tonya

A Little Hot Water

Ok so I wasn't sure exactly what title to use for this post. The host water I am referring to is of course for the tea bag. No one is in hot water here at the moment. I saw a card similar this layout with a teabag but I can't remember what blog I saw it on, so if you know or it is yours please leave me a comment and I will add proper credit. Now back to the card. I am using all the retiring items that I can this week to show you some of the products that are retiring. On this card it is the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper and the Petal Card Big Shot Die. It is the perfect size to hold my tea bag. Have you taken the time to mark you catalog and look through the retirement list? If you haven't a encourage you to do so before the items start to sell out. The card is pretty straight forward so I will just list the other supplies used. Pumpkin Pie Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Crushed Curry Card Stock, Melon Mambo Classic Stamp Pad, Sticky Strip, Favorite Thoughts Stamp Set, Paper Piercer and Mat Pack. The Favorite Thoughts Stamp Set is in the Summer Mini and has four great quotes that my daughter fell in love with and I knew I had to buy for her. I think her favorite is by Jean Giraudoux- There is nothing wrong with the world that a sensible woman could not settle in an afternoon. Well, what ever quote you enjoy it is a great set. To purchase these or any other supplies from Stampin'Up! you can either shop online at my website or you can call me and I will place your order for you. I hope you have a great day and be sure and stop by later as I am going to make this a two post Friday. I have quite a few post ready but they keep getting pushed back because of the new cards I have been making so I will share one of those later today. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it and I would love to hear from you if you have a moment. Thanks, Tonya

# 1 Dad!

Good morning, What a beautiful day it is starting out to be. The sun is shining and I have a card ready to go before 9am. I wondered with the kids out of school if I would find as much time to stamp and post but so far it is working out well. I always have some one to bounce ideas off of with four kids in the house and they are all willing to give me their opinion. ;) Today's card has Dad in mind. If you have a dad that likes sports then this is a perfect Father's Day Card for him. My husband isn't really a basketball fan but I am working on another card with him in mind. Once again I pulled out some retiring items and went to work on the card. The base is Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and I used the Pumpkin Pie Classic Stamp Pad to drag ink across the card giving it a worn leather look. Makes me think of a well loved basketball. Next I stamped my image on Very Vanilla Card Stock. The stamp set is Just Basketball and I used the Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker, Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker and the Going Gray Stampin' Write Marker to ink up the image. This was layered with Ballet Blue Card Stock. The #1 is from the All Sports Stamp Set and was stamped with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad and then punched out with the 1" Circle Punch and layered with a 1 1/4" Circle Punch of Basic Gray Card Stock. To finish up the card I used Twill Tape that I frayed out the ends and added it to the card. I thought it added to the card without being to much. The inside with say DAD and the card is ready to give to your favorite dad. Just a quick reminder that that the bold items are retiring. If you have any questions about this project or any of my projects please let me know. I am always happy to help. Thanks and I hope you stop by again. Have a great day, Tonya

Embrace Life Pop UP Card

Today I have another card showing you some of the items that will soon be retiring. I had a friend ask recently about a Pop Up card that I had showed sometime ago and I started to think that I haven't showed any fancy fold or nontraditional cards in a while. This card is great in that it folds flat and fits in a standard envelope. Before I give you the measurements and scoring details let me give you the supplies needed. Melon Mambo Card Stock, Bermuda Bay Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Embrace Life Stamp Set, Horizontal Slot Punch, Melon Mambo Classic Stamp Pad, Bermuda Bay Classic Stamp Pad, Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad, Word Window Punch, Crystal Effects, Micro Beads, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Scallop Trim Corner Punch, and Aquapainter. I watercolored each of the flowers before I cut them out and then added Crystal Effects on the center of the flowers then added Clear Micro Beads. Each of the supplies items that are in bold are retiring so don't delay on placing those orders. Now for the card dimensions. A tutorial for A Free Standing Pop Up Card can also be seen on Splitcoaststampers. I made a few minor changes when I made the slot for the pop up portion but other than that the design is the same. I used the Word Window Punch to make the slot instead for cutting it out with a Hobby Blade. Just a little easier in my opinion. The base measures 4 1/4" x 11" and is scored at 1", 2 3/4", 3 3/4", 5 1/2", 7 1/4", 8 1/4", 10". Fold the card in half at the 5 1/2" score line. Then mark 5/8" from the edge at the center (5 1/2"). I then use the Word Window Punch to punch out between the marks along the center line. The rest of the card was designed using the tutorials so instead of trying to explain the rest I encourage you to check out the link above to see pictures of the step by step instructions. Now of course you can alter the look of the card just by changing out the colors and stamp sets. Wouldn't this be cute for a baby announcement card. Add a picture to the front then a few stamped images and the info on the back or a Christmas card with your family picture on one side and a stamped image on the other so that the recipient can display on a mantle. Lots of possibilities. Off to use more of the retiring items. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Best Wishes & More

Good afternoon, I am finally back with my card project for today. I am pulling out the retiring items and using them before June 30. Today's card uses the retiring Stamp Set Best Wishes & More and the retiring Designer Series Paper Thoroughly Modern Paper. I also used Rose Red, Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay and Whisper White Card Stock. I used the Polka Dot Impressions Folder on the base of the card stock and then added the DSP across the middle. The envelope on the card was made with the Big Shot and Scallop Envelope Die. I stamped a few hearts with Versamark and added 1/4" Grosgrain Whisper White Ribbon tied around the middle. The pull out message is also made using the Scallop Envelope Die and Rose Red Card Stock. I stamped the Heart again on the Whisper White Card Stock with Rose Red Classic Stamp Pad. The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede Classic Ink to finish off the front of the card. Remember that the Best Wishes & More Stamp Set will be available all month but the Thoroughly Modern Designer Paper and the Bermuda Bay Card Stock are only while supplies last. The Bermuda Bay Card Stock is on sale this month for only $2.75 which is 50%. There are other accessories on sale this month so be sure and check out the list. Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget that you can place orders online, Tonya

$99 Starter Kit Promotion!

Good morning, what a busy day it is for Stampin'Up! not only were the Retirement List for the Accessories, Stamp Sets and Definitely Decorative items released today but so was the Sneak Peak list for Demonstrators to preorder items from the new Catalog. If you are Demonstrator this is just one of the many perks that we receive. I actually receive the new catalog last week because of a special incentive that Stampin'Up! offered to it's demonstrators. How great is that. If you would like to join the Stampin'Up! family and my team of downline then take a look at this month's special Starter Kit Promotion. Not only is the price great but you also receive items from the upcoming Catalog that doesn't start until next month. Plus if you sign up soon you can even attend Convention this year. I can not even begin to tell you how much Convention has helped me as a Demonstrator and it is a lot of fun! There are so many reasons to become a demonstrator: I joined just to get a discount on all the great products that I loved and was buying so much of. I then decided that I really enjoyed sharing my love of stamping with others and decided to build a business, others start out wanting to have a home based business. Whatever your reasons there is something for you at Stampin'Up! Contact me if you would like more information and I will be happy to answer your questions or help you sign up. Thanks, Tonya
