Mystery Challenge

Actually this is a Mystery Supply Challenge. Each designer sent three items to another designer on the team and then we were to create a project with the supplies we were given. I took a picture of the supplies before I started and have included it below. They included a button in Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder 1" Dotted Lace Trim and Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack. I was able to add other supplies and since I need to make some happy mail to send off to my daughter I went with a donut fun theme. I didn't use any stamps.

Other supplies include: Bermuda Bay Card Stock, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Zig Zag Embossing Folder, Hello You Framelits, Scallop Tag Topper Punch, Banner Triple Punch, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, Watermelon Wonder Ink Pad and Whisper White Baker's Twine. I hope you will take a moment to check out the other cards the team has made at SSINKspiration.

Bring on the Bling

Today we are sharing a little bling. I made this card for last weeks post but do to some computer issues I wasn't able to share it with you. I used the new Tin of Cards Project Kit. I love this kit and then I used the Remembering your Birthday Stamp Set. I changed up the design just a bit and decided to add a bit of sparkle on the butterflies with 2 way glue and Dazzling Diamonds. I have all ready given this card away or I would have added a bit more bling on each butterfly and on the Happy Birthday. I hope you enjoy today's card and now that I have a computer again I hope to get back into the posting and sharing of projects. Thanks!

Tags

Today the design team is featuring tags and I decided to join them with a fun Birthday tag. I used the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set and four different punches to create this tag. The colors are from the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack which is a new 6x6 size. I love the new 1" Dotted Lace Trim in Watermelon Wonder and can't wait to get some of the other colors. The punches I used are the new Banner Triple punch, Scalloped Tag Topper, Tree Builder Punch and the Washi Label punch that I just got this last week. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

June Card Sketch

This month I decided to take part in the SSINKspiration Card Sketch. I decided to use the Butterflies Thinlits since I haven't played with them much. The colors are Watermelon Wonder, Crumb Cake, Soft Sky and Whisper white. I used Watercolor paper to cut out the butterfly then added color with an Aquapainter. The sentiment is from the Crazy about You Stamp Set. I added some bling and the card is done. Quick and simple yet pretty. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

The other supplies include: Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set, Tree Builder Punch, Early Espresso Ink and Card Stock, Mint Macaron Ink and Card Stock, Tip Top Taupe Ink and Card Stock, Watermelon Wonder Ink and Card Stock and So Saffron Ink and Card Stock. Retiring Friday Favorites

Today is the last Friday Favorite post for the current catalog which means we are sharing our favorite retiring items. For me it is the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack. I love the colors which are Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Sahara Sand. I used the Scallop Border Punch which is also retiring and the Hello Honey 3/8" Stitched Ribbon. I used the One Tag Fits all Stamp Set and the coordinating punch. The scalloped tag punch also came in handy and matches the other punch well. I only used markers for this card which makes for quick stamping. I hope you enjoyed the card and that you take the time to check out the other designers.

Single Layer Card

The design team is sharing single layer cards today and I had this one that seemed perfect. I used one half sheet of Whisper White Card Stock. Two ink pads and three stamps each inked once to create this card. It really doesn't get much easier than this. The stamp set is Work of Art and I stamped the thank you for Blackberry Bliss. The chevron was created by inking once and then stamping multiple times without reinking. Each time you stamp a little ink is removed making the next stamped image just a bit lighter. I love how easy this look is to create but yet it packs a big punch. Be sure and check out what the rest of the designer have to share today and thanks for stopping by.

Casing Kim

Today the challenge was to case a fellow designer. I picked the card below from Kim Ryden. I really liked the simplicity of it and who can't use thank you cards. I used the Another Thank you Stamp Set for my card and used a butterfly instead of a flower. I also changed up the colors just a bit but the layout is the same. I hope you check out the other designers cards and that you enjoyed today's CASE.

Let's Get Patriotic

Today the Design Team is sharing Patriotic Projects and I have one to share with you as well. The colors I decided to use are Night of Navy, Real Red and Whisper White. I sponged the Real Red and Night of Navy onto Whisper White Card Stock and then add the stars with the Craft White and a sponge dauber. I love our sponge daubers and really can't recommend them enough if you enjoy sponging. To finish off the card I used the happy which was cut from Glitter Paper. Hard to tell that in the photo but I promise is is sparkly in real life. For gluing the happy on you really can't go wrong with our 2 way glue. It makes getting into the small areas easy. I hope you take a moment to see what the other designers have created and thanks for stopping by!

Friday Favorite~Blendabilities

Good morning it is Friday Favorites time and I love to color so my favorite is the Blendablities and you can get them free during Saleabration which makes them even better. I used the Regarding Dahlia Stamp Set and the Marina Mist and Pink Pirouette Blendabitlies to make this card. I also added some Vellum to soften the Basic Black Background. For Big Shot items I used the Circle Framelits, Banner Framelits, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the Darling Doily Framelit. I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

February Blog Hop

This month is all about Hearts and the Design Team has decided to dedicate this month's Blog Hop to hearts as well. I decided to give my projects just a hint of hearts.
The first card uses the stamp set Sheltering Tree and with the sentiment you warm my heart it makes a perfect Valentine's Day or just a your special to me card. I added the In Color Heart Sequins to the tree just for a bit of color and to tie in the heart theme. The colors are Strawberry Slush, Early Espresso and Old Olive to stamping and just a bit of Coastal Cabana Card Stock.
My second project uses the Bokeh technique and I used Real Red and Coastal Cabana. The Stamp Set is Hello Life. I used the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities to color the Basic Rhinestones which I added to the card for just a bit of bling. Don't tell my husband but this is his Valentine's Day card. He doesn't check my blog so no worries with him seeing it.

February Color Challenge

Hello and welcome to our February Color Challenge. I just had to try out a new technique this week with the colors in the challenge. This card came together quick with the colors listed below, sponges, the Hello You Thinlits Dies and some In Color Sequins. The technique is called Bokeh and is actually a photography term. You have seen the pictures when things are out of focus but in a way that makes the picture more pleasing? Well that is Bokeh and you can do the same type of technique with just a bit of sponging and a few circle templates. I can't wait to teach this technique to the ladies that I stamp with locally. Have a great day and Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Friday Favorites

When the new catalog came out I just knew that I had to have this stamp set. It is a bit quirky and fun. It will be perfect to send to my brother who has several of the animals pictured and who doesn't love to color. I inked up the From the Herd Stamp Set with Momento Black Ink and then colored with the Blendabilities. I used the Old Olive, Smoky Slate, Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana and the Skin Tones. I added just a bit of Twine before adding the sentiment which also comes with the set. I hope you enjoyed the From the Herd Card and that you take a moment to go check out the other cards at our SSINKspiration Blog . Thanks and have a great weekend, Tonya

Use what's on your Desk...

SSInkspiration Team
My desk consists of two eight foot tables but I did limit my supplies but since I recently cleaned this space up I didn't have as many supplies at hand. I did receive the Lotus Blossom Stamp Set and it was on my workspace and the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad was still out from the card I made last week. I paired it with Pear Pizzazz and this card was pretty easy from there. I used a Paper Doily that happened to be out and the Deco Label Framelits were perfect to cut out my stamped image. I really like the Lotus Blossom and that is is free right now makes it even better. Be sure and check out the other cards that the team made. I added the link above all you need to do is click. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Tonya

Let's Stamp A Stack

Sometimes it is nice to just set down and do a stack of cards to have ready when the occasion strikes. That is what makes a Stamp a Stack a great event. Today I am sharing a quick and easy stamp a stack card with you and one of the best things is you can make it in any color. Supplies are Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad and Card Stock, Whisper White card stock and Craft Pad, Soft Sky Card Stock, Basic Rhinestones, White Embossing Powder, Bravo Stamp Set and Work of Art Stamp Set. I just embossed the Congrats with White Embossing Powder then stamped the Blackberry Bliss across the top making sure that I didn't reink the stamp between stamping. This gives the ink the gradually fading affect. I hope you check out the rest of the teams cards and that you have a great weekend. Thanks!

January Card Sketch

It is Monday which means it is sketch day over at the SSINKspiration blog and I had some time to play along. I need some thank you cards and used the sketch to create this one. The colors are Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Coastal Cabana with Whisper White. I used a couple of stamp sets which are Another Thank You and Work of Art. With the help of the Big Shot this card gets a bit more piazza. I used the Circle Framelits, Circle Card Thinlit and the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder to finish off the card. I hope you enjoyed my card even though my post is short. I enjoyed stamping and hope to get some more done soon. Have a great day, Tonya
