Designer Type Photopolymer Stamp Set

My new Designer Type Photopolymer Stamp Set arrived recently and while I haven't had a chance to make a card with it I did want to ink it up and see what my first impressions were. I decided to take a few pictures to share with you so you can get an idea of how this new stamp set inks, stamps and so on. The top picture is of the stamp set after I took it out of it package. They do not come in the clear cases like our other stamp sets but rather in a plastic sleeve and are between to clear pieces of plastic. The black outline that you see in the picture above is on the plastic not the stamps themself. The next picture is of a stamped image. I placed the letters on the clear block with not spacing betweent them. So the stamped image is what you would get if you just line up the images. If you want the letters closer together you will need to stamp each letter individually.

Below is the stamps while on the block. The first picture is of them clean and the second is with the ink on them. They are see through so make sure you put them back on their sheet after stamping as they could easily get lost. They are super sticky and I had no problem with them sticking to the block. They are a good small set of letters for stamping names and such. The image is crisp and clean when stamped and I used the new foam pad in Midnight Muse.  I haven't inked up any of the other images but will be sure and share the results when I do. I hope this is helpful to those of you that are considering the purchase of this set. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks and have a great day! Tonya

Smore's Easter Treats!

Hello! First let me say I am sorry I have been so quiet this week. That was not my intention but with a sick child that was home for two days and a trip to visit a college with the oldest time for posting has seemed to get away from me. Tonight I wanted to share Smore's Treats that I have ready for Easter to give to some special kids. They are quick to make and so much fun to eat. A fellow demonstrator posted the idea at Halloween and I tucked it away until Easter. The Stamp Sets I used are Ears to You and Teeny Tiny Wishes. I used both Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Write Markers and Card Stock to make the toppers. I used the Labels Collection Framelits and stamped two of the three bunnies on Whisper White Card Stock. I stamped with Happy Easter with Basic Gray and punched it out with the Word Window Punch and layered with on Basic Gray Card Stock punched out with the Modern Label Punch. I used resealable bags that I found at a local craft store to put my peep, chocolate bar and graham crackers in. All you need to do is pop it in the microwave and enjoy. I also sold these at the Ladies Day out at the YWCA and if you are local and would like some for your Easter Baskets just let me know and I will be happy to make them for you. Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening! Tonya

Jacob's Ducks

Hello and welcome to my blog. It is Friday which means not only is it the last day of the school week but it is also the last day of Sale-a-bration. I am sad to see it end and hope you have had the chance to place your order and receive the wonderful benefits or maybe you decided to join the Stampin'Up! family. Not only is the kit a wonderful deal at only $99, you receive over $156  in merchandise but you can also then sign up for Convention which is in Salt Lake City in July. This years convention is the 25th Anniversary and I am sure it will be big but the only way to go is to be a demonstrator. Ok enough about that. Today I want to share the little duck candy treats that my son made recently while helping me get ready for a show I did. He punched them out and assembled them all. He worked a little bit off of an idea in his head and one he saw online. He used Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White and Basic Black Card Stock and the following punches. 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Small Oval Punch, Owl Builder Punch and Boho Blossoms Punch. He used the 2 Way Glue to assemble them and then added them with a Glue Dot to the top of our 1" x 8" Cellophane Bags. Which will hold three packages of Smarties. The perfect little extra for a Easter Basket.
Busy day with a lot to accomplish so I had better run. Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend. Tonya

Stamped Tiles

Blooming with Kindness Stamp Set, Early Espresso Ink, Raspberry Ripple Ink and Old Olive Ink

One of the items that I had for sale at a recent vendor event were these coaster tiles. They are really easy to make and I love that you can personalize them with the first initial of the receipent. I didn't add initials as I like to be able to do them as they are purchased. The upper tile uses the Blooming with Kindness Stamp Set, while the two below use the Papillon Potpourri and the Betsy's Blossoms Stamp Sets. With our new Foam Ink Pads you can just stamp, add Clear Embossing Powder and heat. I have done these both with our Heat Tool or if I am doing several at once I can just pop them in the oven on a low heat and keep an eye on them while they emboss. If you would like to order one or if you want to learn how to make your own embossed tile just contact me and I will be happy to help you. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Tuesday. Tonya

Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set, Primrose Petal Ink, Perfect Plum Ink, Chocolate Chip Ink

Betsy's Blossoms Stamp Set, Old Olive Ink, More Mustard Ink, Bravo Burgandy Ink and Midnight Muse Ink.

Itty Bitty Birthday

Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Ours was filled with activities, Church and lots of excitement. Good excitement at least this weekend. It is hard to believe that Sale-a-bration will be ending in just five days. The two months have flown by and I sure don't want you to miss out on this great promotion. Several of you are working on your orders so I thought I would share a couple more options with you as you pick out your free items. Today's card uses both the the Pretty Petites Stamp Set and the Petite Curly Label Punch. I picked colors from the color chart and paired Island Indigo, More Mustard, Lucky Limeade and Whisper White. Since I was punching out the stamped image I put all four on one block inked them with the Stampin' Write Markers and stamped them all once then punched. I also used the Itty Bitties Stamp Set to make the party hats and the small cupcake on the two right hand images. The party hats of course needed some bling so I added a couple of the smallest Basic Rhinestones and the cupcake was punched out with the Owl Builder Punch. Behind the stamped images I used the Argyle Impressions Embossing Folder, add a bit of Whisper White Baker's Twine and this 3x3 card is ready for a birthday bag. Please let me know if you have any questions about Sale-a-bration and I will be happy to answer them for you. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Tonya

Spring is in the Air

Spring is definitely in the air and I love that Stampin'Up! is sharing the sneak peaks with us from the new catalog. The current catalog runs until the end of May so in June we get a new catalog filled with new goodies. I can't wait and with the new Spring Surprise Bundle I don't have to and neither do you. The A Round Array Stamp Set will be in the 2013-2014 Catalog but from now until May 30th you can buy the clear mount option with the coordinating 7/8" Scallop Punch for 15% off. Both for only $23.95 and if you all ready have the bunch you can order just the clear mount stamp set for $14.95. The set is available in English, Spanish and French and I have added a picture below. Order this week and you are almost half way to a free Sale-a-bration set. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you need help placing an order. I have one going in soon so contact me and I can add your items. Thanks for stopping by and be sure and scroll down for the treat container that I shared earlier today.

Petal Cone Carrot

Happy Friday to you! It is going to be a beautiful warm day here in Missouri and I can't wait. I love Spring and Summer and with Easter right around the corner I have a little treat holder to share with you. I only used the Petal Cone Die and the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set for this project well and some card stock, Baker's Twine and Adhesive but it really came together quickly. The "carrot" is cut out with Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and then folded and sealed along the edge creating a pocket for our treats. I cut out two Lucky Limeade Scallop Pieces (also on the die) and on the front one I cut between every other scallop to give it a more dimensional look. That was attached to the back flap of the carrot and the front flap was folded down. There is a banner on the die also and I cut one out and then cut it in half and stamped the Happy Easter in Basic Gray and attached it to the carrot with the Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine and a Glue Dot to hold it in place. I filled these with chocolate bunnies and sold these at the Ladies Day Out at the YWCA. If you need a few treat containers these they are quick and easy and I still have a few leftover that if you are local I would be happy to sell you either with or without the candy. Thank you for stopping by today and remember that there is only a week left to Sale-a-brate! Tonya

Beautiful Butterflies

Hello! I am going to share another card with you today that we are doing at our Stamp Time this week. The ladies tonight will be making this card as well as yesterday's card. I must tell you that I bought the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set a while back but haven't inked it up until this last week. I am glad I waited however since Stampin'Up! just introduced the Bitty Butterfly Punch that coordinates with the set. With the Bitty Butterfly Punch and the Elegant Butterfly Punch this card comes together rather quickly and there is no fussy cutting. The colors are Sahara Sand, Pink Pirouette, Pretty In Pink, Raspberry Ripple, and Early Espresso. The center of the card has been cut out with the Big Shot and the Labels Collection Framelits, so the sentiment which is from the Sale-a-bration set Vintage Verses is popped up in the center of the opening and layered on top of the Pink Pirouette Card Stock. After cutting out the center I added texture with the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used Dimensionals to pop up the sentiment and the butterlies, then I added Pearl Basic Jewels to the butterfly bodies and the sentiment for just a bit of extra detail. If you are interested in learning how to make this card please let me know and we can set up a time to do so. Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day! Tonya

Hip, Hop, Easter is on It's Way!

Good morning, I have so many things to share with you but I will pace myself so that there is something new for the rest of the week. The card I have to share with you today is one that we are doing this week for Stamp Time. I uses the Single stamp Ears to You that is available until March 31 and only cost $6.95. That is a great deal! I used our Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Basic Gray Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the image before stamping is on Whisper White Card Stock. I cut both the stamped image and the Melon Mambo card Stock behind it out with one of the Ovals from our new Ovals Collection Framelits. It makes a great egg like shape for the card. The Melon Mambo egg got a little extra texture from the Chevron Impressions Embossing Folder. For the base of the card I used Tempting Turquoise Card Stock with a layer of Whisper White that had clouds added with the Cloudy Day Impressions Embossing Folder. I added a bit of Lucky Limeade Grass to the bottom of the card. To make the grass I used the Finishing Touches Edgelits and added a bit of Melon Mambo 3/8" Striped Organdy Ribbon. This ribbon is new and comes in three colors Melon Mambo, Marina Mist and Old Olive. It is not to late to let you me know if you want to attend tomorrow's night Stamp Time just email or call me. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day! I will be back tomorrow with a new post to share. Tonya

Spring Has Sprung Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our Spring has Sprung Blog Hop. If you are joining me from my friend Rose's Blog I am happy to hopped on over  and if you are just starting then please be sure and follow the link to the next stop.  As you hop a long we would love it if you would leave us a comment and let us know that you were here. My first card is inspired by all the ombre items that I have seen on pinterest and in the stores. An Easter Egg just seemed the perfect choice for such a technique. I used Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red and Cherry Cobbler and sponged the Glossy Card Stock after I embossed the cross with White Embossing Powder. I tip I do want to share is that if you are finding that your embossed area is looking a little less white and more like your ink color you can take a Blender Pen and go over the embossed area and help clean it up. This helps keep your sponged area looking nice and colorful and your embossed area white.
Supplies: Cherry Cobbler Card Stock and Ink Pad, Pink Pirouette Card Stock and Ink Pad, Riding Hood Red Ink Pad, Basic Rhinestones, Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Ovals Collection Framelits Dies, Glossy White Card Stock, Crosses of Hope Stamp Set, Trust God Stamp Set, Scallop Trim Corner, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, and 5/8" Organza Ribbon

My second project probably isn't to terribly new but it was an idea I had for an upcoming Craft Show and I thought I would share it with you. They are cute little Bunny toppers for our 1"x 8" Cellophane Bags. I used Whisper White Card Stock, Basic Black Card Stock, Pink Pirouette Card Stock and Basic Gray Card Stock. The punches I used are the Large Oval, Scallop Oval, 1 3/4" Circle, 1/2" Circle, Owl Builder, and Small Heart. Cute yet simple enough to make a bunch if you need them.

Thank you for stopping by and please let me know if you have any questions. I will be happy to answer them. Now I will send you on your way to Dawn's blog. Have fun! Tonya

Sycamore Street Clipboard

Good morning and welcome back! I am busy stamping and punching and creating trying to get ready for Thursday's Blog Hop and Saturday's Ladies Day out At the YWCA. Lots to do and get accomplished. Demonstrators get a bimonthly magazine from Stampin'Up! that is filled with ideas, business ideas and so much more and in our recent edition there were cute altered Clip Boards. I decided to give one a try and the result is the picture above. I like how it turned out but I may add some more ribbon to the top clip. The Desinger Series Paper and the Ribbon were both free when placing a $50 order. The Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper features Island Indigo, Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry, Sahara Sand, Summer Starfruit, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White. The Ribbon is part of the Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack and you get all three colors plus 36 buttons. I added a matching ink pen that has the same Designer Series Paper inside. Wouldn't this be a great gift for a teacher or for an office. I used Crystal Effects to adhere the paper and it sticks great. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to earn the paper or ribbon for free. Have a great day, Tonya

Pop-Up Posies

Monday is here and I have been busy with projects both in the Stamping area and knitting. While I don't share the knitting ones with you I will be sharing the stamping ones. The ones for today feature the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit from the Spring Catalog. This kit has the supplies to make nine tags and while I added a few extras to mine they are super cute just with the supplies included. The Calypso Coral tag is just the supplies that came with the kit. The kit is just $12.95 and includes: 9 embossed Paper tags, 9 fabric covered brads, precut paper flower pieces, 9 pieces of thick Very Vanilla Baker's Twine, and the Just for you wood mount stamp. I added some designer paper to two of the tags and even made one into a quick note card just by adding it to a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock that has been cut and scored into a 4"x 3 1/2" card. Please let me know if you would like more information about the kit or to place an order. I would love to help you out. Thanks for stopping by for my quick Monday project.

PhotoPolymer Stamp Set

Stampin'UP! had an exciting announcement for us today. They are introducing a Totally Clear Stamp Set. This set is available today.  I have added the info below that was given to us. Please let me know your thoughts and if you would like to try out the new stamp set before you buy it. I will be ordering it today and be sure and watch for a special night/afternoon to try out this new stamp set. Have a great day! Tonya
We've searched long and hard for just the right material to be able to introduce completely clear stamping. And we've found it. We're excited to announce that we now have wood-mount, clear-mount AND photopolymer stamps! The new photopolymer will be an addition to our stamp line and will appeal to all types of stampers. Our top-quality photopolymer has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time and with the introduction of our firm-foam pads, let's just say they're meant for each other! Photopolymer stamps will also be unique, fun designs that will inspire you and provide more versatile options you may not see in our traditional wood- and clear-mount stamp options.
What makes them so great?
  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
  • They use FDA, food-safe material. How far can you stretch your stamping creativity?
  • We could go on, but we'll let you try them for yourself.
They are clearly a great choice.

Best of Flowers

Good morning! Hard to believe as I look out the window that today is the first day of March and we are thinking about flowers. Maybe were you live the flowers are starting to pop up and the trees are starting to bud out but here in Missouri there is snow on the ground. I guess that would be a great reason to bring some color and flowers into someones life with a handstamped card and why not use the Best of Flowers to do so. This set includes one of my favorite stamps, the hydrangea is an absolute favorite of mine. I will be sharing a card or two with it very soon. So many techniques come to mind when I check out this set. If you are intersted in purchasing this set it is available until March 31, 2014 but why wait. You can take advantage of Sale-a-bration and add this set to your next order to help you earn more free items. With this being the first of the month I have a lot of info to share with you so I will be back with a couple of more posts. Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to leave a comment if you have a question. Tonya
