Wildflower Meadow Clean and Simple

Good afternoon are you ready for another card using the Wildflower Meadows Stamp Set and the Embossing Folder that I forgot on the last card? This card uses just a few different colors but the I still kept the Gumball Green, and added Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana. I used the Stampin' Write Markers to ink the stamp and then restamped the hummingbird and fussy cut it with the Paper Snips. Other than running it through the Big Shot and adding the Strawberry Slush Stretch Ruffled Ribbon I kept this card pretty simple and no sentiment so I can use it for whatever occasion suits me. If you haven't taken a look at the Wildflower Meadow Stamp Set and Embossing Folder I really encourage you to do so. They make making cards easy. Thanks for stopping by today. Going to keep this short so I can sneak in some stamping time. Tonya

Flowers and Smiles!

Good morning, I have a card for you today that we made during Stampin' Time last week. I forgot one step on mine but that is ok it still turned out nicely. The stamp sets are the new Wildflower Meadow and the Petite Pairs (which is one sale this month). I used markers to ink up the images and the colors are Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Gumball Green and So Saffron. I stamped the hummingbird and one of the flowers twice so I could fussy cut them and pop them up with Dimensionals. The sentiment is punched out with the Large Oval and layered on the Scallop Oval Punch. I added just a bit of the new 1/8" Bermuda Bay Taffeta Ribbon before adding the sentiment and this card is done. The step that I left out is the texture that can be added with the Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder. I will share a card with you tomorrow that uses the Embossing Folder so you can see the difference. Thanks for stopping by today and as always if you have any questions just let me know and I will be happy to help you. Tonya

Chalk Talk Workshop Card

Hello, it seems as though Summer is finally here. I for one am happy. I love the warmer temperatures and we are seeing warmer this week. I have been busy stamping for both a workshop this week, stamp time. That is a lot of stamping. Today's card is one we did at this week's  workshop. I have really been wanting to try out the new Chalk Talk Stamp Set and matching Framelits but didn't get the chance until now. It is a great set and it is even better when you can use the new Magnetic Platform for the Big Shot. No more post it notes for this girl. I started with a base of Pool Party Card Stock and added a layer of Whisper White that I used the Modern Mosaic  Embossing folder one. Add just a bit of the Mosaic Madness Designer Series Paper and the Whisper White Organza Ribbon. The Chalk Talk images are added with Dimensionals and then we added a few Basic Rhinestones. This card would be great for a wedding, birthday or any celebration really. Give me a call if you want to try out the new Magnetic Platform. It is exclusive to Stampin'Up! and really does make using Framelits so much easier. Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend! Tonya

June New Catalog Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our June New Catalog Blog Hop. If you have joined me from Rose's Blog welcome and thank for hopping along. If you are just starting the hop then be sure and make your way through all the Blogs as I am sure they are filled with great new ideas. I am excited to share two new cards with you that use a fun new set and a coordinating punch. The first card is fairly basic and one that I am doing this week at my workshops and club. It uses Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Pool Party, So Saffron and Crushed Curry. Each of the images from the Six Sided Sampler Stamp Set are stamped on Whisper White and then punched out with the Hexagon Punch. On the Thanks much hexagon I added just a bit of 1/8" Bermuda Bay Taffeta Ribbon and a new Candy Dot also in Bermuda Bay. I think the Candy Dots may be my favorite new accesory. It might be hard to see but I added just a bit of texture  to the Smoky Slate Background with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. I used chipboard circles that I made with the 3 1/2" and 3"  Circle Originals Dies to just emboss the two corners.

For the inside of the card I stamped the same images on the front onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock. Now to show you my second card. I had the idea for this card as I was working on the first card. It is a bit more complex but I really like the way it turned out and it really isn't to hard with the help of the Hexagon Punch.
My second card is a quilt inspired card. I used the Pool Party and Bermuda Bay but this time a paired them with Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, Baked Brown Sugar and Soft Suede. I stamped and punched the images then used a piece of Whisper White to lay out my design. After I had the design I used SNAIL to adhere it and ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I added Bermuda Bay 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon to the new Crisp Cantaloupe 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim and then added the sentiment popped up with Dimensionals over the ribbon. I can't wait to try this set out some more and feel like it will be a favorite of mine for a while and hope it becomes a favorite of yours also.
It is time for me to send you on to the next blog which is Dawn's. If you get the chance please leave us a comment as we would love to here from you. Thanks again for stopping by, Tonya

Mosaic Madness

Welcome back! It is Monday and time for a new card. This one is similar to one I made last week and actually this is the first of the two that I made. We made this card at my Hostess Night that was held that last of May. The colors are Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Strawberry Slush and Whisper White. The stamp sets are Mosaic Madness and Really Good Greetings which are both new in this catalog. I just couldn't resist using the Mosaic Punch and Coordinating Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder. The Designer Series Paper is the new Quatrefancy Specialty Paper. I felt like it need just a bit of dimension so I added a Circle of Strawberry Slush Card Stock behind the Vintage Faceted Designer Button and topped it off with a knotted 1/4" Whisper White Stitched Ribbon.
This week is blog hop week so I am busy creating new cards to share with you. In fact I have made 4 new cards in the last couple of days so be sure and stop by Thursday to see what I have to share. I won't make you wait that long however and will be posting tomorrow also. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Tonya

Washi Clothes Pins

It's Friday and my new order comes today! I am super excited to try out the new Magnetic Platform for the Big Shot and the Framelits. I will let you know what I think of it on Monday and on my Facebook page before that. Speaking of Magnets I neededd some new magnets for our fridge and decided why not dress up some clothes pins with our new Washi Tape. This collection is called Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape and there is Designer Paper to go with it. The tape comes in different widths so I had to trim two of the patterns to fit the clothespin better but it is really easy to apply. Then I used the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, the 1" Circle Punch and the 3/4" Circle Punch to punch out card stock in Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Night of Navy and Island Indigo. The images that I stamped are from the A Fitting Occasion Stamp Set. I figured I could use the party hat for invites and such, the owl for school papers and the scissors for my grocery list and any coupon that I might have to go with the list. The kids can add their papers to the clip to so I can easily find those important ones. We will see how the system goes but for now I have super cute clothes pins to add brighten my day. Thanks for stopping by today! I am hoping to stamp over the weekend but I will have a post for Monday as I have one more project to share. Enjoy your day! Tonya

Epic Day 2

Hello, I can't believe that it is Thursday all ready. The week is flying by but I guess that is what happens when you are busy with fun activities. Yesterday I showed you a card that used the Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper and the Label Love Stamp Set and told you I had a second card to share with you that used the same supplies. Well, this is the card. I often cut extras when I am having an event and I like to revamp the card with the leftover supplies. So lets start with the base of the card, it is Pool Party and I added just a bit of texture with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. I have a trick to just add it on the side that I will share with you later. Then I used the Crumb Cake and the Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper to cut out the dress and the dress form from the Dress Up Framelits Set. I attached the dress to the form and then added Daffodil Delight Seam Binding around the waist and then a flower. If you have a new catalog you might have noticed the Simply Pressed Clay and Buttons and Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds on page 167. The flower on the dress is made with the mold and clay. They are super easy to make and you can do any color that you want. I made this flower with just plain white clay then after it has dried I used the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker to color it and because I wanted just a bit more bling I used Two Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds to make is sparkle. I attached the flower with our Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Now you might be surprised to find out that the Gumball Green Polka Dot Designer Paper is actually the same piece of Designer Paper that I cut the Chevron Dress out off. Because our Designer Paper is double sided I decided to just flip the leftover piece over and simple add the dress and frame back in the hole made when I cut the dress out. I did use dimensionals to pop up the dress but really you have to really look to tell that there is an empty space behind it. One great way to save paper. The sentiment was stamped with Gumball Green just like yesterday and punched out with the Artisan Label Punch and now I have yet another card ready to send. So do you prefer today or yesterday's card? I like them both since the styles are quite different. Please let me know if you would like to make a card similar to this one and we can set up a private class. I have new goodies coming tomorrow so hopefully I will get to stamp over the weekend and have a lot of new things to share. I will have another project for you tomorrow so please stop by again. Thanks, Tonya

Epic Day to You!

Hello and welcome back to a busy week for cards and posts. I cased this card layout for my hostess night last week but can't remember what site I saw it on. If you recognize it please let me know and I will add the site link. This card uses the new Label Love Stamp Set and the new Artisan Label Punch. the colors are Pool Party, Gumball Green, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake. The Designer Paper is the new Epic Day This and That Paper. You will notice that there is something new to Stampin'Up! behind the sentiment. We now have Washi Tape and I used two different styles from the Epic Day This and That Designer Washi Tape Collection. This is my first time using the Washi Tape and I really liked that it was repositionable for those of us that don't always get it straight the first time. It is also slightly see thru so the Designer Series Paper pattern shows through just a bit. Before you ask if there is a second Artisan Label Punch that is bigger than the first there is not. I made the layer behind the sentiment but punching out two Artisan Label Punches in the Gumball Green then cut them to layer behind. I will work on getting a tutorial.
Tomorrow I have a similar card to share with you that uses the same supplies but has a completely different look. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoy your day! Tonya

Petite Mosaic Greetings

Good morning! I have a new card to share with you. :-) This one is actually a revamp of a card I did for my Hostess Night last week. I had a few leftover supplies and decided to remake the card just a bit different. I think I like this one better than the orginal but I will post the orginal later so you can compare. I used two stamp sets: Mosaic Madness and Petite Pairs (which is on sale for 25% off this month). The colors are taken from the new Quatrefancy Specialty Paper and are Strawberry Slush, Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White. After stamping the images I used the Mosaic Punch to punch them out and add them to the Whisper White Card Stock that was embossed with the new Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder. After adding the Designer Paper Flag I decided it need just a bit more so I added Daffodil Delight Seam Binding, a Large Rhinestone Basic Jewel and a Vintage Faceted Designer Button. Now I have a Birthday card ready for a special girl and since we have a few birthday's coming up soon I am sure this card won't be on my display board long. Would you like to make your own Birthday card like this one? It is quite easy and I would be happy to show you how. Just contact me and we can set up a time.
Well, I am off to do some work and get a few projects done. I will be back tomorrow with a new card to share. Until then have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

I used two new stamp sets, The first is Mosaic Madness and has a coordinating Punch and embossing folder. You can get the Mosaic Punch and the Stamp Set together as a bundle and save 15%. The Embossing Folder is Modern Mosaic. I used the Banner Greetings hostess set  for my sentiment and hand cut out the banner with the Paper Snips.
