Celebrate you Day!

It is Wednesday and the week is half over! I hope you are having a great week. One of the stamp sets we received at convention this year was the Tag It Set. It is our Ronald McDonald Set for the year which means when you purchase it Stampin'Up! will give $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. We also received a Tag A Bag Accessory Kit and I decided to combine the two and make a birthday card for my husband. The colors are Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry, Gumball Green and just a bit of Basic Black. I used the Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the image then stamped in on a builder tag from the kit. I then layered it on a Base tag added just a bit of Baker's Twine and a clothespin (both come in the kit too!) The texture on the Smoky Slate is our Square Lattice Embossing Folder. A quick and easy card that still has a lot of fun and pop to it. I am working on four more cards using the same set and the kit just so look for those in the future. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed today's card! Tonya

Color Block Butterfly

Hello! I have project to share and I just can't figure out which one to start with first so how about another Swallowtail Stamp Card. One of the fun things we did while at Convention was set a record for the most hand stamped cards sent from one location and this is the card that I sent. It went to a very special little girl who needed a little fun mail. She liked purple and sparkle. To make this background I used our clear blocks and our Stampin' Write Markers, specifically Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum. I colored the clear block with the markers then spritzed the block with water and simply set it on a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and let the color absorb into it. After it dried I used Jet Black Stazon and stamped both the Swallowtail and the sentiment. I added the new Silver Ribbon from the Holiday Catalog and some Dazzling Diamonds to the butterfly before adding the sentiment that was punched out with the Wide Oval Punch. I don't think the camera catches the sparkle of the card but trust me is has plenty. I think I will give this card another try with a more bold difference in markers. Maybe Island Indigo with Tangerine Tango? Hope you are enjoying your day and remember that you can purchase all your card supplies through me either online at tonyaball.stampinup.net or by emailing or calling me. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Stylin' Butterfly Swap

Hello and Good morning! It is another beautiful day here in Missouri and I have another card to share with you. If you have been following my blog for long you know that I am part of a monthly blog hop and while we were at convention those of us that attended decided to get together and swap cards. This is my card for that group. I love having the Swallowtail Stamp. It is a great stamp that makes card making so much easier. The colors on this card are so hot right now. As you look around stores they are everywhere in clothing, home decor and so much more. I decided to do a three panel card which is quite easy. You just stamp once on a sheet of Whisper White then cut it into three pieces before adding it to the card. The supply list includes:
Smoky Slate Card Stock, Crushed Curry Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Swallowtail Stamp, Label Love Stamp Set, Artisan Label Punch, Apothecary Accents Framelits, 5/8" Organza Ribbon, Coastal Cabana Ink Pad, Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana Stampin Write Markers,. and Pearl Basic Jewels. Any color combo would work and you can easily change the sentiment to make this a birthday, wedding or just thinking of you card. Thanks for stopping by today! Tonya

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Birthday Bash

Hello and welcome to our Birthday Bash addition. The is Stampin'Up! 25th Annivesary and what better way to celebrate than with a Birthday Bash. As you make your way through please take a moment to leave us a comment as it is great to hear from others about how the hop is. You might be just joining the hop or you could have hopped over from Rose's Blog (whom I will be seeing in just one week at convention, can't wait) but either way you can continue through with the list below.

I only have one card to share today mostly because I have been busy creating swaps for next week. I used the new Flower Shop Stamp Set and Pansy Punch. The Happy Birthday is from the Bring on the Cake Stamp Set which is a must for your Brithda cards. I have used this set so much. The colors are Gumball Green, Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush and Crumb Cake. Our designer Series paper is from the Epic Day This and That collection and remember that if you purchase three packages of Designer Series Paper you get a fourth free. I used 1/4" Stitched Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon. The bow is added seperately and attached with a glue dot. In addition to the Pansy Punch I used the Bird Builder Punch, Bitty Butterfly Punch and the Hexagon Punch to flag the end of the sentiment. Every butterfly needs a bit of bling which is easy to do with our Basic Rhinestones. I just recently received the new Deco Labels Framelits so I used the largest size to cut out the Crumb Cake and then texturized it with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I attached the flowers with either Glue Dots or Dimensionals so they are at various heights.
I hope you enjoyed today's card and that it inspires you to create something new today. Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for stopping by! Tonya
