A Little Challenge

Ok it has been a while since I have done a Challenge and this one inspired me so I decided to give it a try. While I think the colors listed aren't the same colors in the sample I did stick to the ones listed and didn't add the Peach Parfait that I thought would be perfect for this sample. I may give another one a try when I get my new punches from the Summer Mini and change up the colors just a bit. The colors make this such a fun and playful card. I stared with a base of Always Artichoke and then added a layer of Poppy Parade before adding my Very Vanilla Layer of Card Stock. The flowers are cut from both the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die and the Blossom Party Bigz L Die. I added some texture with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. To finish off the flowers I added Bitty Buttons to the center of each. The stems and the sentiment are from the Bold Blossom Stamp Set and I used Always Artichoke Classic Ink to stamp both. The sentiment is punched out with the 1 3/4" x 7/8" Oval Punch and layered on a Real Red Scallop Oval Punch. What insprises you to stamp and create? I would love to see what you make? Leave me a post with a link and I will check your project out. Well, that's it for today! I am off to spend the day at a track meet for my oldest son. I am so happy to see the sun and to be able to spend the day with our track kids. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Stampin' Scrub Now Available

Stampin'UP! announced today that the Stampin' Scrub and replacement pads are now available to order again. There has been a change in the material used for the scrub but they have been tested and meet the Stampin'UP! standard. The Stampin' Scrub will also now be in the Starter Kit. If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks, Tonya

Watercolor and Embossing Fun!

Good morning! I few days ago I came across this great card by Lyssa Griffin Zwolanek and I just had to give the technique a try. Thanks, Lyssa! I didn't have the new Embossing Folder that Lyssa used yet so I decided to pull out one of my favorite but sadly neglected folders Manhattan Flowers. I used Whisper White Card Stock and then colored the roses with the Regal Rose and Rose Red Watercolor Crayons. To soften the look I used the Aquapainter and smoothed out the coloring and did some blending. It is a little darker than it appears in the picture but the overcast days have made it hard to take pictures. The Just for You is from the Level 1 Afterthoughts which you can earn when you host a workshop. I decided the card didn't need any other embellishments and just added a layer of Old Olive Card Stock and then a Regal Rose Card Stock base. This card is ready to mail for any occasion and it is easy enough to make several of them just to have on hand. I think I will play around with some other colors and see which color of roses I like the best. Any suggestions for the roses? Let me know. Well, that is it for today. I have another busy day and evening planned with both a track meet and a baseball game this evening. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Just a Bit More Spring!

Good morning! I found time to stamp again yesterday. I didn't realize how much I had been missing my stamping time until the last few days. I have been wanting to do the Faux Mother of Pearl Technique again for a while and the Easter Blossoms Stamp Set seemed like a great choice. It is a little hard to tell in the picture do to the lack of sun but the main panel is Glossy White Card Stock that has been lightly sponged with Shimmer Paint then sponged with Baja Breeze Classic Ink before I stamped and watercolored it. The buds were colored with Regal Rose Classic Ink and the Aquapainter. The base is also Regal Rose and I had a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock setting on my table that I had texturized with the Square Lattice Impressions Embossing Folder but had not used on a card yet, I cut it down to add behind the main image and it looks like a piece of canvas fabric. I didn't add a sentiment yet since I wasn't sure what I would be using this card for but will add one before I send it. Perhaps a Birthday or a thinking of you. I really like how it appears to be the sky behind the trees. This set is part of the Occasions Mini so please don't hesitate to make your purchase before the end of the month if you love this set as much as I do. I would love for it to find its way into the new catalog in July but you can never tell which sets will make it. Thanks for stopping by today and come back tomorrow when I have a new technique to share with you. Have a great day, Tonya

Stampin'Up! has let us know that the Vanilla Rosettes that are in the Occasions Mini have sold out and they can not get more. The Mini is ending on April 30 so just a few days left. Also since it is Tuesday that are new Digital Downloads available for you to purchase. To view the new Digital Downloads simple hop on over to here. Springtime Butterfly!

Good morning! I am so excited to share this card with you! I really love how it turned out and since I didn't have a plan when I started the card it makes it even better. The dimensional butterflies have been popping up on several blog and Stampin' Connections. I am not sure who the original idea came from but if it was yours Thank You!
The butterflies are kind of small to stand alone but on the front of a card they are perfect. I used a base of Crumb Cake left over from yesterday's card then added a layer of the Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini. I added a second print from the same DSP pack and a Not Quite Navy piece of Card Stock that has been edge punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I added the Very Vanilla Seam Binding and added the Fabulous Friend sentiment from the Oval All Stamp Set. I stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock in Basic Gray before coloring with the Baja Breeze Classic Ink Pad and the Aquapainter. I used the Scallop Oval Punch and the 1 3/4"x 7/8" Oval Punch on the sentiment. The butterfly was made with Baja Breeze Card Stock, the Big Shot and the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. The front butterfly had texture added with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. To add some contrast to the butterfly I sponged the raised areas with the Not Quite Navy Classic Ink Pad and a Sponge Dauber, then spritzed it with Shimmer Mist for some extra shine. Basic Pearls were added to the center of the butterflies body and he was attached to the front of the card. He lays flat to mail and then pops up for display purposes. I am trying to decide who to send this card to as it needs to be mailed and enjoyed by others. Remember that the Occasions Mini ends on April 30 so don't forget to place your order so you can make this card for yourself. Give me a call and I will be happy to help you. Thanks for stopping by! I hope to get some more stamping done today and keep the Mojo flowing. It seems if I take a few days off it is hard to get back into a routine so no days off for a while. :) Have a great day, Tonya

Happy Mother's Day Four You!

Good evening! I stamped today and it felt great to get a couple of cards done. I will share the other card tomorrow but for tonight I wanted to share the one that uses the Four Frames Stamp Set that is available until Saturday. The base is Crumb Cake and the other colors I used were Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, and Riding Hood Red. I stamped the floral image from the Elements of Style stamp set on Watercolor Paper with Jet Black Stazon. Then the colored it the the ink pads and the Aquapainter. I stamped the Four Frames Stamp on Watercolor Paper and used the same colors to watercolor. I stamped the Happy Mother's Day on watercolor paper and punched it out with the Word Window Punch then layer it on the Four Frame. I cut out an extra flower and layered in over the Happy Mother's Day at the edge of the Happy. I didn't have the Always Artichoke Seam Binding (need to order that on my next order) so I used the Always Artichoke Stamp' Write Marker to color the Very Vanilla Seam Binding then spritzed it with water to blend the color. I think I blended it to much but it will have to due. I used the Decorative Label Punch to punch out an extra Always Artichoke Label that was cut in half and layered behind the Four Frames Punch out. The Crumb Cake base has the floral image stamped in Crumb Cake Classic Ink and then it was texturized with the Lattice Square Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. To finish off the card I added the Always Artichoke Strip along the right side after I punched it out with the Eyelet Border Punch. Remember if you would like to order the Four Frames Stamp Set to give me a call before Saturday so I can help you place your order.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure and stop by again tomorrow for a new card. Have a great evening, Tonya

Garden Butterflies

Good evening, tonight I am sharing the last card we did at Hannah's birthday party. This one features Peach Parfait and butterflies made with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die and the Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper. There is some texture added with the Big Shot and the Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Stamp Set we used is Great Friend and the sentiment and framed image where stamped in Basic Gray Classic Ink and the Stamp-a-ma-jig was used to line them up on the Whisper White Card Stock that was cut out with the Matchbox Bigz XL Die. Did you know that the Matchbox Die includes three different tags in addition to the Matchbox. We did a little sponging around the tag with the Peach Parfait Classic Ink Pad and a Sponge Dauber. The strip behind the butterflies and the tags are Pear Pizzazz and Poppy Parade. I am going to try and do some stamping tonight and tomorrow while we have a free day so I hope to post again later tomorrow night, if the weather allows for pictures. Hopefully we will see the sunshine sometime tomorrow or this weekend at least. Have a great evening and if you are a member of Stamp Club then the orders have arrived and are ready for pick up. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Peach Butterflies

Good morning! Today I want to share another one of the cards we recently did for Hannah's birthday party. This card uses the Baroque Motifs Stamp Set, Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, and the Cottage Garden Stamp Set. The base is Pear Pizzazz Card Stock. We used Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, Basic Gray and Peach Parfait Classic Ink Pads for stamping. The Butterflies were made with the Big Shot, Peach Parfait Designer Series Paper from the In Color Paper Stack and the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. The Whisper White Card Stock was cut with the Top Note Bigz Die and the Big Shot. It makes a great focal point for the butterflies. The butterflies were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals which gives them a little lift and makes them look as though they are getting ready to take off in flight. I will be back later with the list of new Digital Downloads that became available yesterday afternoon. There are some fun designer paper that I can't wait to play with. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Four Frames Club Card

Good morning, well no sunshine today so I am glad I had a few photos taken from last weeks cards. Today's card is the other Stamp Club card we made last week and uses the new Four Frames Stamp Set and Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper. Which will both be in the new catalog in July but you can purchase or earn them early how you ask. Make a purchase of $20 and you can by either or both of them but if you host a workshop this month that has a total over $350 in merchandise sales then you get them both for FREE! Yep free! Want to try and earn yours, give me a call. Now back to the card. I used Not Quite Navy Card Stock for the base with some texture added with the Big Shot and the Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Also used Always Artichoke and Whisper White Card Stock. The Always Artichoke Card Stock was punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and the Whisper White with the Decorative Label Punch. We used the Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the Four Frame Stamp using the Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard and Always Artichoke. We used the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and scrunched it using the thread pull method. The Label was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. I am hoping to get to stamp with the other three stamps in the Four Frames Stamp Set today and if so I will be sure and share those soon. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Fun Club Card!

Good morning! I have a fun new card to share with you today and I am so excited. A few months ago Stampin'Up! shared a new card template with is Demonstrators in our Stampin' Success, well time got away from me and I didn't find time to make the card until this month for Stamp Club. I have been calling it a never ending card because it just keeps turning and turning and truthfully it seems to be a bit addictive as they are hard to put down once you start. The card has four sides and I am sharing a picture of each. It used some of the cute Oh Sew Suite line from the Occassions Mini that is only available until the end of the month so be sure and get your order in if you see something you like. Let me give you the supply list and then I will try and explain the pictures. Cardstock Regal Rose, Tempting Turquiose, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Chocolate Chip and Tangerine Tango and Whisper White, Sweet Stitches Designer Series Paper, Sew Suite Stamp Set, Button, Button Stamp Set, Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and Sincere Saluations Stamp Set, Sweet Buttons Embosslits, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip Classic Ink Pads and Jet Black Stazon Pad, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, 1" Circle Punch and Basic Pearl Jewels. The two inside panels are to the left and directly below. The layer with the Mannequins is Paper Pieced and is the first layer you see after you "open" the card. The Birthday Wishes layer is for you to write your message and sign your name. Because this card lays flat you don't want a lot of dimension to keep if from opening so all items were attached with SNAIL.

The next two pictures are of the front and back of the card. The front has the Just for you added on the center panel and both layers have been stamped with the Button, Button Stamp Set. One of the advantages of buying this stamp set in Clear Mount is that I was able to put all the buttons that I was using on one block and then just stamp a couple times instead of stamping each button by itself. Love those time saving tips.

Would you like to learn more about making this card give me a call and we can set up a private class for you and your friends. I would love to share it with you and am considering doing another cards that move class. It has been a while since I have done one and this type of card would be a great fit. Thanks, for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

New Style of Hair Bows

Good evening just a quick post before I head off to bed. I tired a new style of hair bow recently and haven't had a chance to share. This one takes the same Scallop Circle #2 Die and the Big Shot that the other ones have taken the difference is the fabric I used and I got to use my Heat Tool too! I used several layers of Satin material and some sheer too in the Turquoise color and added a Silver Brad in the center to hold it all together. I then heated the layers with the Heat Tool and the fabric crinkles up and gives the Bow a fun appearance. I am going to make some more and may give a few other colors a try too. Let me know what you think please. I would love to hear from feedback. I will be back tomorrow with a fun new card style that we did at Stamp Club this month. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week, Tonya

Hello and welcome to the weekend. I don't usually post over the weekend but since I have been neglecting you so much the last few weeks I thougth I would post today and tomorrow. After this month it is not available (unless it makes the new catalog in July, please, please) I have loved using it the last four months and will be sad to put it away.
