A tisket a tasket!

Look at this cute basket! I was going through some displays from last year and came across a scallop envelope basket that I made for Easter and knew that I just had to make a new one for this year. I didn't add any Easter decor to it so it could be a May Basket or even a Mother's Day one. I love the colors which are Calypso Coral and Pool Party. The Designer Series Paper is Domestic Goddess and it just so fun. I cut our 4 Scallop Envelopes and made them into the basket. The handle is made with the Lace Ribbon Border Punch and attached to the box with White Brads and flowers from the Boho Blossoms Punch. I added some white paper to the basket similar to Easter grass and it is ready for candy or what ever else you want to add to it. As easy as these are to make you can give them to everyone you know. ;-) Don't forget that tomorrow is the last day to order and take advantage of the Sale-a-bration benefits. If you need help placing your order please email me at tonyab at centurytel.net so that you don't miss out and have to wait another year for Sale-a-bration to come around again. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend, Tonya

Why I became a Demonstrator

With Sale-a-bration and the wonderful Starter Kit discount and Designer paper or Digital Download offer that is currently available it got me to thinking about why I signed up to be a demonstrator and what Stampin'Up! had offered me 7 1/2 years ago. When I was first introduced to Stampin'Up! I was a stay at home mom with three young children that had just moved to a new town 8 hour from home where I really didn't know a lot of people. My oldest son's preschool teacher invited me to join them for a stamping night. I said no I didn't have time for that with the kids I was just to busy and she told me that was why I need to come. To have some time for me. Well, I went and really enjoyed myself and love that I could create something so easily. I joined Stamp Club and bought supplies to make cards, scrapbook pages and really enjoyed the time spent with other women. Then after a year of so of club I decided to host a workshop and that night I decided to sign up for the discount. I can remember my upline telling me that it had taken long enough for me to make the decision. I wasn't going to try and sell, host workshop or teach, I just wanted a great deal on the kit, discount on what I was buying anyway and of course the sneak peaks were a bonus as well as the Stampin' Success Magazine. When I started I had 4 kids and for a while I just bought and sold to a few friends, then we moved to Missouri and I discovered I loved to teach and share Stampin'Up! with others. I enjoy the flexibility that it offers me and I like seeing others discover that they can be creative too. Do you want to share that love of stamping with others, get a discount on what you are all ready buying, increase your supplies with the wonderful starter kit? If so give me a call and I will be happy to help you through the process. It is never to early or to late to join. Thanks for letting me share my love with you can for stopping by, Tonya

A Blog Hop Sneak Peak

Hello, with Spring in the air and the flowers blooming I thought it was time for a flower card. This card is actually a sneak peak for next weeks Blog Hop that I will be taking part in. The stamp set is Vintage Vogue and one that I have had for quite a while. The colors are Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder and Concord Crush. I cut out each flower after stamping them and added them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Pearls were added to the centers for a little extra detail. Did you notice the detail on the bottom of the card? I used the Adorning Accents Edgelits Die to make the pretty scalloped edge. I also stamped on the back ground with the same vine stamp as the main panel. I decided to add some sparkle to the card so I used Shimmer Paint and Rubbing Alcohol in a mister bottle and spritz the front of the card. This card is very shimmery in person but hard to photograph and show.
The Blog Hop will start on April 5th so be sure and check back then to see all the wonderful samples that everyone has to share with you. Thanks for stopping by tonight, Tonya

Dresden Plate Quilt

Good morning, while the sun was trying to shine this morning I took a few pictures of some projects I have been working on and wanted to share the quilt top that I recently finished. It is not quilted yet but I just couldn't

wait to share. I used the super cute Twitterpated Designer Fabric from the Occasions Mini and the Dresden Designs Bigz L Die also from the Mini to make the quilt. With the Big Shot and the Die it was a quick process to cut all the pieces for this quilt and the best thing is that all the petal pieces are the same size because the die cuts them for me. I used the small sized petal which is 2 3/4" x 6 1/8" but there is a large option on the same die which measures 3 1/4" x 7 5/8" if you want a larger petal.

I have added a closer picture so you can see just a bit more of how I made this quilt. I am planning on finishing it and think it would make a great baby quilt. What do you think? Would you like to give quilting with the Big Shot a try? If so contact me and I will be happy to show you how easy it really is. Thanks for stopping by today and for taking a look at my quilt. Have a great day, Tonya

Gnome Lovin'?

Good morning, I feel like today's post title should be Waiting on the Sun. We have had several rainy days here and it makes it very hard to take pictures so I wait. In the mean time I will share with you a couple of cards I made. A while back I received the Gnome Sweet Gnome Stamp Set free but it just sat and sat. I really like to use my stamp sets and decided I was going to ink it up and give it a try even if it really wasn't a set that spoke to me. Well I am still struggling with the set so I opted for 3x3 cards so that there was less space to fill. I am going to continue to try this set out and see what else I can come up with but in the mean time I hope you enjoy these little cards that I have for you today. First card is the man gnome. I added the latern in his hand and the inside of this card says "you light up my lawn" The colors are Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade and Very Vanilla for Card Stock and Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Soft Suede, Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Chocolate Chip and Blush Blossom that I colored the image with using Blender Pen and Classic Ink Pads. I also used the Framelits Labels Dies to cut out the image and the Poppy Parade behind the image.

The second card is even simplier with just Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla Card Stock. The ribbon is from the Sale-a-bration brochure and is only available until March 31st. It is 1/8" Organdy Ribbon and you get two spools one of Lucky Limeade and one of Calypso Coral for placing a $50 order. I used markers to color this image and used the following colors: Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Soft Suede, Peach Parfait, Early Espresso and Blush Blossom. The inside of this card has the sentiment "to gnome you is to love you" from the Gnomenclature Stamp Set that has extra Gnome sentiments to expand your Gnome Sweet Gnome Set. I hope to this set some more time later but for know I am going to work on a blog hop challenge for the upcoming April 5th Blog Hop that I will be participating in. Make sure and mark your calendars as you won't want to miss the projects that everyone shares. Thanks for stopping by today and as always have a great day, Tonya

Catalog Case Part 2

Good morning, it is Monday and I am so thankful for the beautiful weekend we had. Sunday I was able to spent the day with family and just have a relaxing day. Today the weather is changing however and we are expecting storms. Sounds like a good day to stay in and stamp, due a few loads of laundry and get caught up from the weekend. What are your plans for the day? Today's card highlights a few of the Sale-a-bration items that you can receive this month for free. The first is the Rich Razzleberry Button that is in the center of my pin wheel and the second is the Striped Embossing Folder that is used on the Baja Breeze Card Stock behind the main image. The other supplies used are Island Indigo Card Stock and Classic Ink, Baja Breeze Classic Ink, Whisper White Card Stock, Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon and Card Stock, Small Oval Punch, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Early Espresso Card Stock, Send Me Soaring Stamp Set and Island Indigo Baker's Twine. This was the second card we made at stamp club last week and is another idea that I got from the Current Catalog. If you are looking for inspiration then look no further than the catalog it is a great place to find ideas and layouts. Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day, Tonya

Catalog Case Part 1

Good morning, it is a beautiful day and Spring in the air, so with that in mind I am in a Spring mood with my cards right now. The card I have for you today is one we did at Stamp Club last night and it uses fun Spring like colors and flowers. The colors are Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso, Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White. We used the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder to add texture to the base of the card and the 3 1/2" Circle Die to add the Lucky Limeade circle to the card. The Flowers were punched out with the Boho Blossoms (Whisper White) and the new Blossom Punch (Wisteria Wonder) . They were layered together then we added a Lucky Limeade Polka Dot Brad to the center. I really like the Berry Blossoms Designer Series Paper that we added to this card and need to use it more. The sentiment is from Bring On the Cake Stamp Set which is a must have stamp set for Birthdays. We used Early Espresso for stamping. Before we added the Calypso Coral Bakers Twine we added just a bit of detail along the bottom edge of the Whisper White with the Paper Piercing Tool and the Mat Pack. Now for the Case part, whenever I take a break from Stamping I find it hard to get back into the routine again and Sunday I decided to look through the catalog for a layout to case and found the card on page 73 which became this card. Imagine my surprise when I received my Stampin' Success (a magazine for Demonstrator ask me how you can get a copy too) on Monday and there was an article about CASEing the catalog. :) The catalog is a valuable resource that we sometimes forget to use to it's fullest potential. So I challenge you to pull out your catalog and find a card to CASE. If you do add a link to the comments so I can take a look at your creation too. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Adrenaline Rush

Hello, I am busy getting ready for club tonight and have four new cards to share with you but for now I want to share with you another Digital Page I made last week. This one was even easier than the last in that this is a premade page and all I had to do was drop my picture in and do some journalling. I made no changes to the page just left it as it was. How simple right? Have you tried My Digital Studio yet? If not what are you waiting for? It really is a fun option and it allows me to scrapbook all my digital pictures that are just stored on my computer. Well, I am off to finish getting ready. Thanks for stopping by and come back tomorrow for one of our club cards that I will be sharing. Have a great day, Tonya

Digital District Scrapbook Page

I am back with a Digital Scrapbook page that I created last night while I was waiting for my boys during their scout meets. I have all three of my boys in Cub and Boy Scouts and twice a month they all three have meeting on Monday night. Well, last night I decided to take the laptop with me and work on some digital projects. I didn't get a ton of them done but I did get two or three and am happy to share one with you today. This page is pictures from the fall when the team my daughter runs with got 1st at our District Race. It was an amazing day and I love the picture of the girls acting all goofy and silly. That is the team. I used a photo template and made a few modifications so that I could get each of the girls in an individual picture then added the team picture. I have quite a few pictures so I will make another page and add some journaling about the day but for now this is a great start. What do you think? Are you ready to give My Digital Studio a try? You can for 30 days for free, just contact me to find out how. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day. Tonya

Everyday Birthday

Good evening, I am trying to get back into a more regular posting schedule so hopefully you will be seeing more projects from me. The card I have for you tonight is one that we did at a recent workshop I had. The base is Crumb Cake. We also used Soft Suede, Calypso Coral and Whisper White Card Stock. The designer series paper is from the Everyday Enchantment Sale-a-bration Pack. You can pick this as an option when placing an order over $50. We used the Apothecary Art Stamp Set and used both Soft Suede and Calypso Coral Classic Ink. To add just a bit more to the card butterflies were added that we made with the Big Shot and the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die and Chantilly Crochet Trim was added to both corners. If you are wondering what the Stamp image and the mat where made with they are the new Labels Collection Framelits that are so easy to use with the Big Shot. I would love to show you how they work. :) Thanks for stopping by! I am going to keep this short but I will be back tomorrow with a new project to share. Have a great evening, Tonya

Technique Swap- Wet Stampin'

Hello, I was going through some of my drafts that didn't get posted and a came across this card. I hope I haven't all ready shared it with you but if so maybe someone else hasn't had a chance to see it yet. This card is one I did for Convention swaps last July and uses a technique called Wet Stamping. It is really easy to do and really can change the way a stamp set looks. For this card I used Fifth Avenue Floral and Word Play. The colors are Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush, Regal Rose and Basic Gray Satin Ribbon. I also used Watercolor Paper which is an important part of the technique and the Scallop Trim Border Punch. If you would like more information about this technique please let me know and we can set up a private class for you and a few friends. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend, Tonya

Stylin' Stampin' Squad March Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to your March Blog Hop! Whether you are joining me from Rose's Blog or just started here be sure and work your way through all the wonderful blogs. There is a complete list at the end of this post and if you click on the Next Blog Button it will take you on your way. This month one of our themes is Spring and the card I am going to share with you just feels so Springy to me. The colors are just so light and fun and of course Spring is the start of all the wonderful flowers that start to emerge after a long winter. The supplies for this card are from the Occasions Mini and include: Twitterpated Designer Series Paper, Bordering on Romance Stamp Set, Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies and Textured Impressions Folders, Paper Doily Large Sizzlits Die, Sincere Saluations Stamp Set, Baja Breeze Card Stock and Classic Ink Pad, Blushing Bride Card Stock and Classic Ink Pad, Island Indigo Classic Ink Pad, Riding Hood Red Classic Ink Pad, Basic Gray Classic Ink Pad, Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink Pad and 5/8" Whisper White Ribbon.

My second project is a fabric project and what girl doesn't want a new bag for their new Spring or Easter outfit? The ruffled bags have been showing up all over the place in catalogs and on pinterest and I decided to try and make one myself. I read through a few tutorials but in the end I just sort of winged it and while I love how it turned out I did find a few things that I would change for the next time. Like finishing my edges differently. The best part about this bag is the fabric is free this month with a $50 order. I used all of the pink prints in the Flirtatious Designer Fabric and then with the third I made a head band which I will share with you another day. I also used1/2" Melon Mambo Scallop Dots Ribbon for the trim and for the straps (which are fed through button holes on the sides of the bag) to carry the bag which is a draw string back pack style. While making the bag I decided my next project is going to be an apron with more cute ruffles. I just have to decide which fabric to use next. I have really loved doing more sewing projects lately and have a major project to share with you in the next few weeks, but it isn't quite ready yet. :)

Thanks for stopping by today. I would love to hear from you as would the other ladies in the Blog Hop. Have a great day, Tonya
