Party Hats!

Welcome to Wednesday! It is the first day of school for my two youngest and all of my kids are finally back in school. :-) Today's card is the final club project that we did last week. I used the Summer Smooches Desigern Paper and pulled colors from it to make the card. The stamp set is A Fitting Occasion set that I received from Stampin'UP! for FREE! Yes, as a demonstrator you can get free stamp sets.  The other supplies are Island Indigo Card Stock and Classic Ink, Daffodil Delight Card Stock and Classic Ink, Whisper White Card Stock, Tangerine Tango Card Stock, Rich Razzleberry Card Stock and Classic Ink, Lucky Limeade Card Stock and Classic Ink and Basic Gray Classic Ink, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch and the 1" Circle Punch. Going to keep this post short so I can get some stamping time in before the kids get home (half day for the youngest two). Hope you have a great day, Tonya

Midnight Truck

Hello, it is Tuesday and I have another post for you. I hope that now that the kids are getting back into school that I will get back into my stamping routine and I will have new posts more frequently. Today I have a more manly card for you. I started this card a while ago but just kept putting it away as I didn't like the way it was working out. I am still not 100% happy with it but it will do. The base is Midnight Muse which has had texture added with the Square Lattice Folder. I love this color and have been using it quite a bit. The stamp sets are Countryside and Petite Pairs. The main image is a tile technique. I used the diagonal plate on the Simply Scoring Tool and scored the Very Vanilla Card Stock before I stamped the truck image. I then added Midnight Muse around the edge of the card stock before I added another layer of Very Vanilla. The designer paper is from the Comfort Cafe Series and I added two Very Vanilla Brads to the left edge. The sentiment is punched out with the 1" Circle Punch and then added to the card with Stampin Dimensionals. Do you like the tile technique? I may give it a try with a Christmas card and see how I like it. I would love to show you this or any of the other techniques on my blog. Just give me a call and we can set up a time.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Clean and Simple Christmas Card

Hello and Good morning, today I want to share with you a card we did last week at Stamp club. This card layout is cased straight from the Holiday Mini. I used Real Red, Garden Green and Whisper White Card Stock and Garden Green Classic Ink. I have a weakness for the Embossing Folders and when I saw the Holiday Frame Folder in the Holiday Mini I knew that it would be on my first order. To make the folder really pop I used the new Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad and a Sponge Dauber to illuminate the embossed areas. It gives it a nice pearl like affect and makes the frame really pop. The ornament is from the Ornament Keepsake Bundle and was added with Dimensionals then I added a  Real Red Tafetta ribbon Bow to the top of the ornament. This card would make a great elegant Christmas card. You could also use two way glue and Dazzling Diamonds on the frame to make is shimmer and shine. So many ideas for this folder and the Christmas season has yet to begin. Thanks for stopping by today and be sure and check back tomorrow for yet another new card. Tonya

Reason to Smile

Good morning, I am really enjoying making the triple layer cards. This card is from some leftover pieces from Stamp Club this week. I decide to take the Very Vanilla pieces I had cut and make a card for a special someone to brighten their day. I pulled out my much neglected Circle Circus Stamp Set and my new favorite Sentiment set Petite Pairs. For colors I relied on my Color Coach and went with Crumb Cake, Raspberry Ripple and Perfect Plum.  I used just a bit of Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon to draw your eye to the sentiment. I did finish the inside to by failed to get a picture of it. Boo me. :-(
After I finished my card I took a look at my sample board and realized that my friend Sarah had given me a card with the same design layout and two of the same colors in July when she was getting ready for convention.  So thanks Sarah for the card that I managed to case. If you want to learn how to make a triple layer card then contact me and we can set up a private class for you and some friends. Now that school is starting again I have some free time in my day so expect more blog posts again. In fact I have three more to write today that I will share with you next week. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend. Tonya

August Blog Hop Holiday Style

Welcome to the Stylin Stampin' Blog Hop, whether you are just joining us or have hopped over from Rose's Blog I hope you continue on your journey through all the blogs and see the wonderful projects all the ladies made  and feel free to leave a comment as we love to hear from all of you.
August is here which means the Holiday Mini starts! I love this mini and so many of the items in it are on my list to buy but to start out I decided to be good and only get a few which I will share my favorite with you today. It is the new Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies and Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set. Now Stampin'Up! has made this an even better deal by making it a bundle so you save more money. Which means you can buy more stamps, accessories, card stock. Well I think you get how it works.
My first project is inspired by the wonderful ornaments that are in the Mini Catalog. I knew that I wanted to make my own and the picture below shows just how mine turned out. To make it easier to tell which supplies are new in the Mini I am going to make them bold in the supply list.

Supplies: Very Vanilla Card Stock, Cherry Cobbler Card Stock, Very Vanilla Seam Binding, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink, Gumball Green Classic Ink, Holiday Ornaments Framelits, Ornament Keepsake Stamp Set, Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Bigz, Pearl Basic Jewels
Next I wanted to make a scrapbook page. The page is an 8"x8" page and features a picture of my kids from last years Christmas. I used their clothing colors to inspired the colors of the project. I rarely scrapbook anymore so I am always happy when the mood strikes and I feel like finishing a page. I think I will frame this one for a while just to show off my kids.
Scrapbook page supplies: Crumb Cake Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Garden Green Card Stock, Garden Green Classic Ink Pad and Stampin' Write Marker, Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink Pad and Stampin' Write Marker, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Scallop Edge Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker, Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies, and Ornaments Keepsakes Stamp Set

My final project is a Christmas Card. The Triple Stamping is very popular right now and I haven't had the chance to try it and thought that the Ornament Keepsake Set would be perfect to give it a try with. It is a pretty simple technique and I will write a post in the next few days on how it is done but for now here is the card.
Ornament Card Supplies: Early Espresso Card Stock and Classic Ink Pad, Lucky Limeade Classic Ink Pad, Primrose Petal Card Stock and Classic Ink Pad. Lucky Limeade 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Petite Pairs Stamp Set, Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set
I hope you enjoyed today's projects and the new Ornament Keepsake Bundle. I am looking forward to making more projects with this bundle so be sure and check back again.
