Thank you so much for joining us for the October Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad Blog Hop! This month we are focusing on the Fall season. It’s the time of year when fireplaces start crackling with warmth and we dig out our sweaters. This month’s blog hop will showcase many of the Stampin’ Up! products that are available to make Autumn themed creations. We hope you enjoy seeing how we use the products to create our projects and feel inspired to come up with some great projects of your own.
You should have just left stop number 8 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop – Stamping with Kim. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.
Now lets get started on my projects. I have both a card and a journal to share with you today. First the card. I love the Gently Falling Stamp Set and the since you get both the solid image and the leave outline/vein image it is a great set for a lot of techniques. For the card below I used the Rock-n-Roll Technique. Supplies are: Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock and Ink, Cherry Cobbler Card Stock and Ink, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Soft Suede Ink, Cajun Craze Ink, Crushed Curry Ink, Paper Snips, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Ovals Collection Framelits, 5/8" Victoria Crochet Trim, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, Stamp-a-mi-jig, Gently Falling Stamp Set, and Feel Goods Stamp Set.
For the front I used two stamp sets again the Gently Falling and then I added the sentiment which is from the Trust God Stamp Set. For additional supplies I used: Chocolate Chip Ink, Crushed Curry Ink, Soft Sky Ink, Labels Collection Framelit, Extra Large Oval Punch, Paper Snips, 5/8" Victoria Crochet Trim, Soft Sky 1/2" Seam Binding, and Neutrals Candy Dots. I have added a close up of the sentiment and leaves below.
I hope you enjoyed my projects and that you were inspired by them to stamp and create. I will now send you on your way to Diana's Blog. You can simply click the next button below and it will take you to her posts. If you like what you see here you should make sure and check out our Design Team blog SSINKspiration as many of our blog hop members are also designers and we share something new each day so you can be inspired. Now to move onto my journal. I made this to be a prayer/ thoughts journal for myself. I am finding that I really want a place to put my thoughts, prayers, thanksgivings and such on paper. Really just for me to see but maybe to share at some point. I started with a plain composition notebook found at most retail stores and used the oh so pretty Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper. I used both the Tombow Multipurpose Glue and Sticky Strip to adhere the paper to the notebook. I sanded the corners and then started adding embellishments.

Love these... totally want to create that notebook!!!
Love that you covered a notebook, haven't done that in a long time! I love the color combos!
Great fun idea to dress up the notebook. This would make an awesome gift for a teacher!
I love the notebook! So Cute!!!
Thanks so much for sharing these, Tonya! I have YET to try that "rock and roll" technique, but it always looks so fun when someone else does it! ;) And, the idea for a prayer, thoughts, thankful journal is such a good one! I love how you covered and embellished it to have something "pretty" to write in.
I never thought to use Rock & Roll on the leaves. Such a great idea! TFS!
The prayer journal is my favorite! I need to make one of those! The card is beautiful, reminds me of fall in MI! Thanks so much for sharing!
Tonya I love your projects. This stamp set is one of my favorites as well, it works for so many things and your journal turned out great, what a special place to record your thoughts and feelings. A true keepsake. Thanks for sharing!
