Happy Birthday Quilt

Good morning! We have yet another snow day for the kids. At this rate they will be in school until June. Oh, well better to be safe than sorry and since it is still snowing home is fine by me. Today I have a fun Birthday card that I decided to make last week after all of our other cards were made. I love the Quilt idea and I had just used the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper on this  All Dressed UP card. So it seemed like a good combo for this Birthday Card. The stamp set is from the Best of Birthdays Stamp Set that is part of the 25th Anniversary Collection. I used a card base of Basic Gray and added some texture with the Sqaure Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The quilt panel was made much like yesterday's in that I started with a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and 1" Square Punch. Since I was setting my square on an angle I scored a light line down the center of the card stock so help me line up my squares. After I attached the squares I ran the panel through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I added Island Indigo Card Stock that had been punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch along both the top and bottom of the panel and attached some scrunched Baja Breeze Seam Binding before attaching it to the front of my card. The sentiment was stamped twice once with Basic Gray and once with Island Indigo. I punced out the Basic Gray sentiment with the Extra Large Oval Punch and hand cut out the Birthday to add with Dimensionals to the Basic Gray. I added it to the card with more Dimensionals then added the cute little dyed flower from the 5/8" Flower Trim. Now I just need to Birthday person to send it to. Since we are home bound today I am hoping to start on my Blog Hop projects to next week. It would be nice to be a head of schedule instead of rushing all the time. Maybe these last few snow days have been our catch up time and our chance to slow down for a while. I hope you are warm and dry where ever you are. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Vintage Print Quilt

Happy Tuesday! I will be back later with another post that includes today's new Digital Downloads. There are two free downloads today so be sure and check back to see those. While I watch the snow pile up outside I wanted to share with you this card we made last week. I haven't used the Quilting Technique lately and I decied to share it with the ladies that came last week. This is a great technique to use up smaller pieces of Designer paper. For this card we used the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack. I love the colors in it which are Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Primrose Petal and Gumball Green. The base of the card is Crumb Cake and the frame is Primrose Petal. For the sentiment we used the Vintage Verses Stamp Set which is  a Sale-a-bration option andn stamped it in Early Espresso. To make the quilt we simply punched out 1" Squares with the 1" Square Punch and attached them to a piece of 4x4" piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock. To make the piece look more quilted we ran it through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Folder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. We added Crumb Cake Seam Binding to finish off the quilt before attaching it to the card front. This technique works great on all types of cards depending of the Designer Paper you use and with our punches you can do so many different patterns and designs. I am going to share another quilt card with you tomorrow that was inspired by a couple of my recent projects. Thanks for stopping by. Please let me know if you would like to make your own quilt card and I will be happy to help you get the supplies or we can schedule a workshop and I can show you and your guests how to make one.. Stay warm! Tonya

Four Frames Club Card

Good morning, well no sunshine today so I am glad I had a few photos taken from last weeks cards. Today's card is the other Stamp Club card we made last week and uses the new Four Frames Stamp Set and Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper. Which will both be in the new catalog in July but you can purchase or earn them early how you ask. Make a purchase of $20 and you can by either or both of them but if you host a workshop this month that has a total over $350 in merchandise sales then you get them both for FREE! Yep free! Want to try and earn yours, give me a call. Now back to the card. I used Not Quite Navy Card Stock for the base with some texture added with the Big Shot and the Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Also used Always Artichoke and Whisper White Card Stock. The Always Artichoke Card Stock was punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and the Whisper White with the Decorative Label Punch. We used the Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the Four Frame Stamp using the Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard and Always Artichoke. We used the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and scrunched it using the thread pull method. The Label was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. I am hoping to get to stamp with the other three stamps in the Four Frames Stamp Set today and if so I will be sure and share those soon. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Springtime Awaits

Good afternoon, I was able to get a little time to stamp today and have a card to share with you. I cased a layout I saw on Stampin' Connections but rotated the card 90 degrees. I used the new Springtime Blossoms Stamp Set and the Tulip Frame Impressions Embossing Folder. The card stock color I used is not one I traditionally pull out and is Shara Sand. The Very Vanilla Seam Binding looks better in person so it must be the color is off from the monitor or at least that is what I am going with right now. :) I stamped the images in Basic Gray Classic Ink and used the Whisper White Watercolor Crayon to color in a few of the flowers before I watercolored them with the Regal Rose Classic Ink Pad and the Aquapainter. The Crayon resists the ink and leaves the white accents on the flowers. The sentiment was punched out with the Oval Punch and layered with the Scallop Oval Punch that was punched out of Pretty in Pink Card Stock. I added a layer of Pretty in Pink Card Stock behind the stamped image and this card is complete. Pretty simple but it helps me get back into the stamping mood after I have taken some time off. I hope you enjoyed today's card and are looking forward to spring as much as I am. I am ready for some really flowers and buds to appear on the trees. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to have something new to share with you again tomorrow. Until them have a great day, Tonya

Spring Time awaits!

I know that Springtime is still quite a while away but when I saw this stamp set in the Occasions Mini I just knew I had to have it. I love everything about it from the silhouette girl to the tree branch with flowers. It is such a pretty set. This card is one that I did for a swap that I am taking part in. I used several new items on the card and I am excited to share it with you. First the card stock is Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze, and Crumb Cake. The inks used are Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, and Versamark. The little girl is embossed using Crumb Cake Classic Ink and Versamark with Clear Embossing Powder before the tree branches were added. I also used the Spritz Tool with the Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker on the main image and colored the flowers in with the Blender Pen and Baja Breeze Classic Ink Pad. The oval is made with the Frame Scallop Oval Die and the Big Shot. The corners of the Crumb Cake Frame were punched with the Scallop Trim Corner Punch. The new Designer Paper which is so pretty is the Springtime Vintage. I can't wait to use it some more. The Baja Breeze Seam Binding is also new and if you loved the ones in the Holiday Mini then you will be thrilled that not only are they back in the Occasions Mini but they also added Crumb Cake, Rose Red and Pear Pizzazz in addition to the Baja Breeze. My daughter loved the new Vintage Flower Adornments when she saw them so I ordered those first thing and I am so glad I did. They are flat on the back and attach easily to your project with Mini Glue Dots. You get three colors Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze and Rose Red, eight of each for only $5.95. Are you ready for Spring? I know I am but until then I will keep playing with the wonderful new Springtime Vintage Suite. To see the complete line of the Springtime Vintage be sure and check out my online store. Thanks for stopping by. I am hoping to find sometime to stamp today and if so I will be sure and share with you tomorrow. Until then have a great day, Tonya
