Smore's Easter Treats!

Hello! First let me say I am sorry I have been so quiet this week. That was not my intention but with a sick child that was home for two days and a trip to visit a college with the oldest time for posting has seemed to get away from me. Tonight I wanted to share Smore's Treats that I have ready for Easter to give to some special kids. They are quick to make and so much fun to eat. A fellow demonstrator posted the idea at Halloween and I tucked it away until Easter. The Stamp Sets I used are Ears to You and Teeny Tiny Wishes. I used both Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Write Markers and Card Stock to make the toppers. I used the Labels Collection Framelits and stamped two of the three bunnies on Whisper White Card Stock. I stamped with Happy Easter with Basic Gray and punched it out with the Word Window Punch and layered with on Basic Gray Card Stock punched out with the Modern Label Punch. I used resealable bags that I found at a local craft store to put my peep, chocolate bar and graham crackers in. All you need to do is pop it in the microwave and enjoy. Petal Cone Carrot

Happy Friday to you! It is going to be a beautiful warm day here in Missouri and I can't wait. I love Spring and Summer and with Easter right around the corner I have a little treat holder to share with you. I only used the Petal Cone Die and the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set for this project well and some card stock, Baker's Twine and Adhesive but it really came together quickly. The "carrot" is cut out with Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and then folded and sealed along the edge creating a pocket for our treats. I cut out two Lucky Limeade Scallop Pieces (also on the die) and on the front one I cut between every other scallop to give it a more dimensional look. That was attached to the back flap of the carrot and the front flap was folded down. There is a banner on the die also and I cut one out and then cut it in half and stamped the Happy Easter in Basic Gray and attached it to the carrot with the Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine and a Glue Dot to hold it in place. I filled these with chocolate bunnies and sold these at the Ladies Day Out at the YWCA. If you need a few treat containers these they are quick and easy and I still have a few leftover that if you are local I would be happy to sell you either with or without the candy. Hip, Hop, Easter is on It's Way!

Good morning, I have so many things to share with you but I will pace myself so that there is something new for the rest of the week. The card I have to share with you today is one that we are doing this week for Stamp Time. I uses the Single stamp Ears to You that is available until March 31 and only cost $6.95. That is a great deal! I used our Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Basic Gray Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the image before stamping is on Whisper White Card Stock. I cut both the stamped image and the Melon Mambo card Stock behind it out with one of the Ovals from our new Ovals Collection Framelits. It makes a great egg like shape for the card. The Melon Mambo egg got a little extra texture from the Chevron Impressions Embossing Folder. For the base of the card I used Tempting Turquoise Card Stock with a layer of Whisper White that had clouds added with the Cloudy Day Impressions Embossing Folder. I added a bit of Lucky Limeade Grass to the bottom of the card. To make the grass I used the Finishing Touches Edgelits and added a bit of Melon Mambo 3/8" Striped Organdy Ribbon. Happy Easter!

Good morning and Happy Easter! Just a quick card and post before we head off to church and then off for a family dinner and Easter egg hunt. This card is just a simple little Easter card that I made last week before I went off to a craft show. I made a stepped up version that I will share with you later today but for now this card uses the Wide Oval Punch, Tasteful Trim XL Bigz Die, Bird Punch and some card stock and Designer Series Paper. A tisket a tasket!

Look at this cute basket! I was going through some displays from last year and came across a scallop envelope basket that I made for Easter and knew that I just had to make a new one for this year. I didn't add any Easter decor to it so it could be a May Basket or even a Mother's Day one. I love the colors which are Calypso Coral and Pool Party. The Designer Series Paper is Domestic Goddess and it just so fun. I cut our 4 Scallop Envelopes and made them into the basket. The handle is made with the Lace Ribbon Border Punch and attached to the box with White Brads and flowers from the Boho Blossoms Punch. I added some white paper to the basket similar to Easter grass and it is ready for candy or what ever else you want to add to it. As easy as these are to make you can give them to everyone you know. ;-) Don't forget that tomorrow is the last day to order and take advantage of the Sale-a-bration benefits. Easter Projects!

Hello! Wow what a busy weekend! I have so much to share with you starting with three of the projects we will me making Wednesday night at the Easter Class. I had a Birthday Party Card Class yesterday and that consumed my last few days and track season has started which means trips to see my oldest two compete. Petal Cone Carrot

Good morning, I love the versatility of the Petal Cone Die and I sure hope it is in the new catalog in July. Carrots have been popping up all over the internet and I just had to give it a try. This will be one of the projects that we are making at my Easter Class which is coming up next month. The Carrot is made from Pumpkin Pie Card Stock that has been run through the Big Shot to add texture then sponged with the Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink and a Sponge. The cute little bunny is from the Forest Friends Stamp Set which you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase now through March 31. I inked the bunny with the Basic Gray Classic Ink Pad then wiped his nose off with a cotton swap and reinked it with Pretty in Pink Stampin' Write Marker and stamped it on Very Vanilla Card Stock. Below the bunny I stamped Happy Easter from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set in with the Old Olive Classic Ink Pad. I used the 1 3/4" Circle Punch to punch out the Bunny. That was layered on an Old Olive Scallop Circle that was made with the Pennant Bigz XL Die. To finish up the carrot I used the Little Leaves Sizzlit Die and cut three of leaves from Old Olive Card Stock. To attach it to the top of the Petal Cone Die I used another Old Olive Scallop Circle that had a hole in the center for the stems to feed through I then attached the scallop circle to the top of the petal cone with Dotto as it is a repositionable adhesive which make it easy to remove to get the candy out without tearing up the carrot. Easter Card For Club

Good morning, it is pretty early as I type this but I wanted to get a card up to share with you today. This card is one that we are doing for Stamp Club tonight. The stamp set is Easter Blossoms and the Designer Series Paper is Springtime Vintage. The card stock colors that I used are Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla. For ink I used the Crumb Cake Classic Ink Pad, Not Quite Navy Classic Ink Pad, Baja Breeze Classic Ink Pad and the Baja Breeze Stampin' Write Marker. There is a little coloring of the flowers, buds and eggs with the blender pen. The Very Vanilla Seam Binding is added to the card with Mini Glue Dots and Sticky Strip. I am so glad Stampin'UP! has added new colors to our Seam Binding Collections as it is so fun to work with. The Happy Easter is also included in the Stamp Set and after stamping was punched out with the Wide Oval Punch. Easter bunny with Eggs

Good evening, for club last week we made Easter projects and since I showed you the Easter Chick that my son designed I thought today I would share with you the Easter Card we made. It is similar to the Easter Egg card I shared last week but I thought the Chocolate Bunny need to be added for a little extra Easter look. The base of the card is So Saffron and the clouds were sponged with Bashful Blue Classic Ink on Whisper White Card Stock. The Easter Eggs are made from Tea Party and Shades of Spring Designer Series Papers and the wide oval punch. The Chocolate Bunny was stamped with Chocolate Chip Craft Ink on Chocolate Chip Card Stock, then heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I added a Pretty in Pink flower made with the Trio Flower Punch and attached it with a Silver Brad. The Happy Easter is from the Whimsical Words Stamp Set which I have in Clear Mount. I really like the sentiments in Clear Mount as it makes the placement easier to see. Well, that is it for today. I hope you enjoyed the card. Thank you for stopping by. Easter Chick!

Sorry for the long absence from posting. My daughter and I went to New York City last weekend and I have spent the week trying to get caught up on everything I usually do, so posting had to take a back seat. The project I am sharing with you today is one of the club projects that we made this week. I can't take create for it however as my 12 year old son sketched this one for me and I just made the cute little chick. I am amazed at just how much my kids seem to understand about Stampin'Up! and what I do. I think he did a great job on his first project and I hope to be able to get him to sketch more for me. This is a tools project with Big Shot Dies and punches. For the box I used the Bag with Scallops Bigz XL Die and cut the scallop part off leaving the bag open at the top. The handle is punched with the Sale-a-bration Edge punch. The card stock I used is Bashful Blue. To make the chick himself I used the Frame Oval Scallop Bigs Die and cut out two one in So Saffron Card Stock and one in Whisper White Card Stock. I cut the Whisper White Card Stock to make the egg shell. On the club ones we stamped across the egg shell to make it look like a decorated egg or you could use colored card stock to make your egg. To make the rest of the chick, I punched out one 5 Petal Flower Punch and 2 Small Oval Punches from So Saffron Card Stock. I sponged the edges of the So Saffron Card Stock with a Sponge Dauber and So Saffron Classic Ink before assembling the chick. To make his eyes I used the 1/2" Circle Punch and Whisper White Card Stock. I added the blue centers with the Bashful Blue Stampin' Write Marker. The beak was made by folding a piece of Pumpkin Pie Card Stock in half then punching out one petal from the 5 Petal Punch with the inside of the petal being lined up with the fold of the card stock. This allows his mouth to open and close. I used SNAIL Adhesive to attach all the parts and also attach the chick to the basket. There you have a cute little treat container for Easter. Quick and Easy Easter Card

Good morning, I am actually finding time to post in the morning which means my day is going a little smoother. First a couple of reminders. Now about today's Easter Card. I had this idea for an Easter Egg card since I made the Chocolate Bunny Card. As I punched out the Happy Easter, I thought the Wide Oval Punch would make a great Easter Egg. The card base is Pretty in Pink Card Stock, just a piece I had leftover from a recent workshop project. The Whisper White Card Stock is cut 5 1/4" x 4" and I used the Scallop Circle Punch to make a template from scrap paper and sponged Bashful Blue Classic Ink with a Sponge Dauber to make the clouds. It really is quite easy to do, give it a try if you haven't before and let me know how it went. I stamped the Happy Easter from the Well Scripted Stamp Set with the Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad. I punched out three Wide Oval Eggs from the Shades of Spring Designer Series Paper and the So Saffron Patterns Designer Series Paper. The grass was made from the Shades of Spring Designer Series paper. I used the Scallop Edge Punch to punch the top, then went back and punched it again just a little off the first punch and it made the pointed grass edge.
After I used the Paper Snips and cut down from the top between blades of grass to allow the grass to bend and place the eggs in it. The grass was added to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and the Eggs were put on with Pop Up Glue Dots. This layout would also work well for a scrapbook page with the Easter Eggs across the bottom. Now that I have made a few Easter cards I am really starting to get in the mood for Spring to arrive, but first I guess we have to get rid of the snow. Oh, well Winter can't last forever. Grandma's Chocolate Rabbit

Hello and good afternoon, I debated since I made this card if it was to soon to share it with you. I mean really Easter isn't until April but I just couldn't resist and had to share. So if you are wanting to get a head start on your Easter Cards then this is the card for you.

The Chocolate Bunny Stamp that is in the Occasions Mini just had to be mine when I saw it. You see it makes me think of my Grandma (on my mom's side) who for as long as I can remember and from what I have been told even before that has had a Chocolate Easter Bunny just like this one for our Easter Center Piece every year. She has stored the bunny in the freezer every year until it is time to get him out and set him on his special green glass dish surrounded by jelly beans. Every child I know has been told not to touch the bunny and the story of how it is saved each year. Now to some this may seem odd but it is a treasured family tradition for our Easter Dinners and so today this card is in honor of my Grandma. The layout is fairly simple, I decided to do a Top Note Quilt as the center because I haven't made one lately. The base of the card is Pretty in Pink Card Stock that has polka dots thanks to the Stampin'Up! Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder. The designer series paper is the Shades of Spring Series Paper from the Occasions Mini. The Chocolate Bunny was stamped with the Chocolate Chip Craft Stampin' Pad on Close to Cocoa Card Stock. I embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder before cutting him out. I used the Well Scripted Stamp Set also from the Occasions Mini and the yummy Pretty in Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon. I really hope that Stampin'Up! keeps the 5/8" Satin Ribbon that is in the Mini in the new catalog and adds more colors. This card will be going to my Grandma when it is closer to Easter of course and I will try and take a picture of the Chocolate Bunny to scrapbook this year as family traditions are important to record.
