PaperCrafter Case!

Hello! Today is a BIG Day for Stampin'Up! and everyone that loves their products. Today is the first day of the new Catalog Sales Period. I saw this layout in my resent PaperCrafters Magazine and since Stampin'Up! just released a new Pennant Punch and matching Stamp Set I just couldn't resist casing it. I really like this layout and plan on making one of these cards for each of my customers that order from me this week. I will probably try other color combos but will stick with the new In Colors. Red Toile by Kaylee

Hello, this as not been a stamping weekend but rather a cleaning weekend. Yuck! not my favorite activity but sometimes it does have to be done. Today I am sharing a card my Daughter did in the style of the one a shared last week. I really like the Real Red as it really makes me think of the Toile Fabrics that you see in so many design styles. This is also one of the cards that we will be making next week at my Elements of Style Class. If you would like to attend there are two options.
Option 1 You purchase the stamp set from me in either clear or wood mount and the class is only $7. It will include three cards and envelopes and another project (either a scrapbook page or a 3D item), you will also receive a free container of Designer Series Brads (Filigree, Stars, Circles or Flower) when placing your order. If you would like option 1 please contact me soon so your set will arrive by next Wednesday.
Option 2 You pay $20 for the projects and use my stamp set (in clear mount) for this class.

Fun Flower Card!

Hello! After making the felt basket yesterday I started thinking about making a card with the same colors and basic idea, so I started on this simple 3 1/4x 3 1/4" card this morning then while I was blog hopping I came across a wonderful idea by Heather Summers for a progressive card. Now I had made progressive scrapbook pages but never a card so this idea seemed like fun and I turned my 3 1/4 x 3 1/4" card into a full 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card. Nothing to complicated about either card. The supplies I used were Melon Mambo Card Stock, Tempting Turquoise Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Melon Mambo Patterns Designer Series Paper, Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad, Filigree Designer Brads, Silver Brads, Stampin'Up! Baskets and Blooms Bigz XL Die, Big Shot, Mat Pack, Paper-Piercing Tool, Scallop Trim Border Punch, and Thank you Kindly Stamp Set (which is free until March 31 with a $50 purchase). I did do a little sponging on the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" Melon Mambo Card Stock base just to give it a more finished look. I hope you enjoyed the cards today and maybe you will be inspired to try a progressive card like I was. I am off to clean up my work area before starting on a sewing project and a couple of other things for upcoming events. Thank You Cards

Hello, everyone and thank you for stopping by today. I have been busy working on Thank you cards to send to all my customers that placed orders in February with me. I decided to make the same design for all but just change the color of card stock. I needed quite a few so I kept them fairly simple. I used the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper (I love this paper) for the insides of the cards. The bases consist of Old Olive Card Stock, Rich Razzleberry Card Stock, and Orchid Opulence Card Stock. I cut the card stock to 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2" then using the Big Shot and the Movers and Shapers Die with the Scallop Oval Die I cut out half of the scallop oval at the score line. I used the Oval All Stamp Set since it coordinates so nicely with the Scallop Oval Punch and stamped the Thank You in with either Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad or Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin' Pad. To finish off the card I used the Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon or Whisper White Organza Ribbon. The inside of the card has the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper punched with the Scallop Edge Punch or the Scallop Trim Border Punch (only a few more days to get it free). I added Whisper White Card Stock on the inside of the card too so that it is easier to write in. I don't write in these however as I want my wonderful customers to be able to give the card if they would like. Pretty In Pink Just For You!

Sorry for the late post the day just sort of got away from me. Today we have a guest designer. My daughter made the card I am sharing with you today. She likes to design and make cards and wants to some day be a demonstrator. I sure hope she lets me be her upline. She needed Thank You Notes for her class to send out. This is the card she made. She started with a base of Pretty in Pink Card Stock (100459), then using the Medallion Background Stamp (115223) she stamped it twice with Pretty In Pink Classic Ink (101301) once on the base of the card and once on scrap Pretty In Pink Card Stock. She then punched out the scrap piece with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch (112004). She used the Thank You Kindly Stamp Set (111700), which is an extra Sale-a-bration choice. The Thank You was stamped in Basic Gray Classic Ink (109120). Then to add a little extra pop she used the Circle Scissor Plus (112530) and cut out a 2" Circle from Basic Gray Card Stock (108692) and add it behind the Punched out Circle. Simple yet pretty, pretty in pink in fact. I am off to work on the Customer Thank You's for January which will be going out to everyone that placed an order with me whether it be online or directly. January Thank You's

Hello and happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. It was a busy one at our house but a good one just the same. With the start of the new year comes resolutions or things we would like to do better. It is also a time to make changes in my business and try and improve on things. So this year I have decided to not only send more cards but to send cards to my customers more. Starting this month anyone who places an order with me during the month will recieve a card in the mail as a thank you. I have decided to write a note in each on a post it note that way the receiver can use the card themselves for personal use. So today I designed a couple of cards to say thank you. I used quite a few Sale-a-bration items on the cards. I really like the selection this year for Sale-a-bration and what better way to show them off than to actually use them. No hording supplies for me this year either. The first card uses a Kraft Card Stock (102125) Base with Polka dots added using the Big Shot and the new Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder (117335). Is is so easy to add just a few Polka dots or make the whole card front polka dotted with this folder. I added Welcome Neighbor Designer Series Paper (118401) which is free with a $50 merchandise order. I used the new Scallop Trim Punch (118402) which is also a Sale-a-bration item. I used Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon (115611) and the Sale-a-bration stamp set Vintage Labels in Clear Mount (119122). I used the Scallop Circle Punch (109043) and the 3/4" Circle Punch (107217) for the sentiment which was popped up with Dimensionals.

The second card uses similar supplies with the exception of the base which is Melon Mambo (115320), the ribbon which is Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon (115614) and the punch which is the Curly Label Punch (112208) and the Curly Label XL Bigz Die (114506). I will be making some other Thank you cards with similar supplies but a little different layout. Tonight I will be holding a class that features the Loads of Love Stamp Set, Watercoloring and the Aquapainter. I had a request for these items and that the cards be kids' birthday cards. Did you know that I work with each of my hostesses to insure that their workshop or class is just what they want and will enjoy. As a thank you for having me do the class I am giving the hostess six handmade cards that I made using a couple of retired sets that she owns and needed ideas for. If you would like to receive a hostess thank you from me all you have to do is book and hold a workshop or class. I have some dates available in September and would love to share my love of stamping with you and your friends.

Now onto the cards. All three of the cards feature the Pink Flamingo Designer Series Paper (113976). Now I will admit that this designer series paper is a little brighter than I would usually use but since I got back from Convention I have been on a Bold Bright kick. The first card has a base of Summer Sun Card Stock (103124) and also a little Tempting Turquoise Card Stock (102067). I used the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to ink up just the Thank You from the Elegant Thank You (114484) which is only $6.95. What a great price for a stamp that you will get a lot of use out of. I added a piece of the 3/4" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon in Real Red turning the ribbon so that the polka-dots are inside the knot. The next two cards are simple but elegant with a base of Whisper White Card Stock and a little Designer Series Paper. The Thank you is again the Elegant Thank You and the Monogram Card uses my favorite alphabet set Lovely Letters (115030). I added a few punch outs behind the sentiment and J to add a little more focus to them.

I am going to keep the other three cards a secret at least for now and hope that she doesn't check my blog before she comes over this evening. I really hope that she enjoys getting the cards.

I received some new Holiday Mini Sneak Peak items today and hope to get to play with them some time over the next week. I am anxious to try out the new Build-a-Bear Stamp Set and hold a workshop using these sets. I think a mother/child workshop or class would be a blast!
