Good morning and welcome back! I am busy stamping and punching and creating trying to get ready for Thursday's Blog Hop and Saturday's Ladies Day out At the YWCA. Lots to do and get accomplished. Demonstrators get a bimonthly magazine from Stampin'Up! that is filled with ideas, business ideas and so much more and in our recent edition there were cute altered Clip Boards. I decided to give one a try and the result is the picture above. I like how it turned out but I may add some more ribbon to the top clip. The Desinger Series Paper and the Ribbon were both free when placing a $50 order. The Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper features Island Indigo, Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry, Sahara Sand, Summer Starfruit, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White. The Ribbon is part of the Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack and you get all three colors plus 36 buttons. I added a matching ink pen that has the same Designer Series Paper inside. Wouldn't this be a great gift for a teacher or for an office. I used Crystal Effects to adhere the paper and it sticks great. Vintage Print Quilt

Happy Tuesday! I will be back later with another post that includes today's new Digital Downloads. There are two free downloads today so be sure and check back to see those. While I watch the snow pile up outside I wanted to share with you this card we made last week. I haven't used the Quilting Technique lately and I decied to share it with the ladies that came last week. This is a great technique to use up smaller pieces of Designer paper. For this card we used the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack. I love the colors in it which are Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Primrose Petal and Gumball Green. The base of the card is Crumb Cake and the frame is Primrose Petal. For the sentiment we used the Vintage Verses Stamp Set which is  a Sale-a-bration option andn stamped it in Early Espresso. To make the quilt we simply punched out 1" Squares with the 1" Square Punch and attached them to a piece of 4x4" piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock. To make the piece look more quilted we ran it through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Folder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. We added Crumb Cake Seam Binding to finish off the quilt before attaching it to the card front. This technique works great on all types of cards depending of the Designer Paper you use and with our punches you can do so many different patterns and designs. I am going to share another quilt card with you tomorrow that was inspired by a couple of my recent projects. All Dressed UP!

Hello! I will admit that when the Spring Catalog came out I had no plans to order the All Dressed Up collection. I just didn't think I would need it... fast forward a month and I decided after seeing so many wonderful samples that I was wrong and I did "need" it. So I purchased the Dress Up Framelits and I love them! I have only made the one card so far but I see a lot more in my future. They are so easy to use and there are so many possible ways to make them your own. For this card I used Basic Gray Card Stock for my base and for my dress stand. The background paper and the dress are both Designer Paper from the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper. Behind the dress is Cherry Cobbler Card Stock cut with an oval from the Oval Framelits Dies Collection and then embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder.  For embellishments I used both Baja Breeze Seam Binding and an Ivory 5/8"   Flower Trim that I used both the Baja Breeze and Island Indigo Ink Pad and an Aquapainter to color. I also added a few Basic Rhinestones. The sentiment is from the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit that was stamped using Basic Gray ink on Whisper White Card Stock and then punched out with the Large Oval Punch and layered with a Island Indigo Scallop Oval Punch. I added the sentiment and the dress with Dimensionals. We will be making a card similar to this on Tuesday at my Stamp Time. You can attend the class at either 1pm or 7pm. Three Little Gingerbread Men

Hello! So glad you stopped by today and I am excited to have a new Christmas card to share with you. I had a Christmas Card Class and this is one of the cards we made. I love the cute little gingerbread men and they have a framelit to match which means no fussy cutting. We used two stamp sets on this card, Teeny Tiny Wishes and Scentsational Seasons which you can get either by itself or in the bundle with the Holiday Collection Framelits Dies which I recommend because you not only save money. Only two ink pads are needed for this card Eary Espresso and Gumball Green and the card stock is Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Gumball Green with a little bit of Be A Good Cheer Designer Series Paper. The Decorative Label Punch was used to punch out the sentiment. The texture along the bottom was added with the Big shot and Delicate Designs Folder and then we used the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die to create the scallop piece in Gumball Green. Lucky Limeade Christmas Card

Hello, what a wishy washy day we are having. The sun can't decide if it wants to shine or not and while that makes it not a great day to take pictures it does make it a great day to stay in and stamp. I hope to do some of that later this afternoon. In the mean time I have a card to share with you that will be included in next weeks Christmas Card Class. I cased the layout from an old swap card I recently came across but there was no name on the back. The Snow Swirled stamp set is an older one but one that I still enjoy using. I used Lucky Limeade for the base and added snow flakes with the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad. The sentiment is stamped with Early Espresso and the tree is stamped with Lucky Limeade before I added some bling with the Rhinestone Basic Jewels that I colored with a marker. I used the Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper and the tree is on a Early Espresso Tag made from the Two Tags Bigz Die. Halloween Kitty

Good morning, I have more Halloween to share with you today. This card uses one of our single stamp sets and was inspired by my friend Rose's cat card. My card turned out a bit different but she inspired me to buy the stamp. Don't you just love it when that happens.  I know the perfect cat lover to send it to. The stamp set is Frightening Feline and only cost $8.95. I again used the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper. The colors are Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango and Basic Black. I used Jet Black Stazon and if you look closing the the cat is wearing a rhinestone collar. The ribbon is the Very Vanilla Seam Binding and I used the 1/2" Circle punch to notch out a spot for my knot. I used two Big Shot items to complete this card: the Finishing Touches Edgelits and the Spider Web Folder. I sponged the Spider Web with a sponge dauber and the Basic Gray Stamp Pad. Toxic Treats

 

Hello, last week was a club week and while I really intended to post the projects earlier it just didn't happen that way. So this week I will be posting pictures for you and hopefully stamping a few more new ones. Today's card features the herringbone technique but with a Halloween theme. I used the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper, Toxic Treat Stamp Set, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Basic Black Card Stock, Tangerine Tango Card Stock, Jet Black Stazon, Basic Black and Tangerine Tango Stampin Write Markers, Basic Black Polka Dot Scallop Ribbon More Mustard Stamp Pad, Festive Paper Piercing Pack,  Labels Collection Framelits, Big Shot and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets.

 

 

I decorated the inside with left over pieces of designer series paper from the herringbone technique and stamped the inside. Fall/ Back to School Blog Hop

My first project uses the Herringbone Technique. I have been wanting to try it for a while but have been putting it off. I will be trying it again soon. This card is for that college student that might need a little pick me up those first few weeks away from home. I used Baja Breeze Card Stock and Stampin' Write Marker, Rich Razzleberry Card Stock and Stampin' Write Marker, Whisper White Card Stock and Tangerine Tango Card Stock. The Designer Series paper is the Floral District Paper and is so bright and cherry. The sentiment is from the Word Play stamp set and is cut out with the Labels Collections Framelits after it was stamped. I made the mat piece behind it with a 2 1/2" Circle Punch and a Decorative Label Punch that I added Polka dot texture to. To finish off I added Whisper White 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon. My next project is a gift set for a teacher.

 

 

I made 10 note cards with matching envelopes to give as a back to school gift for a teacher. The note cards are in a cute back pack ready to deliver. I really like the idea of using the Note Cards because the envelopes are included and since you get 20 in a package you can make 2 gift sets.

The back pack is made from Whisper White card stock, Daffodil Delight Card Stock and Classic Ink Pad, Floral District Designer Series Paper, Basic Black Card Stock, 1" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, 1/4" Whisper White Stitched Ribbon, Lovely Letters Stamp Set and Square Lattice Folder

The note cards use Jet Black Stazon and Daffodil Delight since our school colors are black and gold. The stamp set is Just Believe and I kept the design clean and simple. I did add just a little texture with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. I also added a stamp to the front of the envelope.

Party Hats!

Welcome to Wednesday! It is the first day of school for my two youngest and all of my kids are finally back in school. :-) Today's card is the final club project that we did last week. I used the Summer Smooches Desigern Paper and pulled colors from it to make the card. The stamp set is A Fitting Occasion set that I received from Stampin'UP! for FREE! Yes, as a demonstrator you can get free stamp sets.  The other supplies are Island Indigo Card Stock and Classic Ink, Daffodil Delight Card Stock and Classic Ink, Whisper White Card Stock, Tangerine Tango Card Stock, Rich Razzleberry Card Stock and Classic Ink, Lucky Limeade Card Stock and Classic Ink and Basic Gray Classic Ink, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch and the 1" Circle Punch. So Grateful!

Good morning! It is cold out today, wow I really dislike winter so this card gives me hope that I will see spring and the pretty flowers again. I know that it is a ways off and we still have lots of cold days ahead but I can dream right? The Occasions Mini is such a wonderful one and the Apothecary Art Stamp Set is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It is such a fun set to watercolor and with the Coordinating Labels Collection Framelits cutting out your stamped images is a snap. This card using Crumb Cake for the base, with Whisper White, Soft Suede and Pink Pirouette for accents. The image is stamped with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad before we colored it with a blender pen with Pink Pirouette, Bashful Blue and Marina Mist. There are Pearls added to the sentiment and we used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch along both sides of the Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper. Stocking Card

Good evening, what a fun week it has been. With Halloween and a Christmas card class in the same week how can it not be fun. On Wednesday I held a Christmas card Class and for an extra project I made each of the ladies that attended one of these Stocking Cards. It was so fun to make with the Stocking Die and a little Designer Series Paper. The Merry Christmas is from the Four the Holiday's Stamp Set and I accented it with a Snowflake punched out with the SnowFlake Punch with a Mini Jingle Bell in the center. The new embossing folder adds just the right amount of texture to the stocking and other than a small part of the heal and toe it covers the front of the card. I will do a picture tutorial next week when there is more light so you can see how the actual card is made.

Wow 4 Days!

Wow I can't believe how quickly the last four days have flown by and I really had planned to post sooner but there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. I will do one of the Christmas Cards that we made last week and show you something new tomorrow. This card uses Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Blushing Bride as the main colors. The stamp set is Fun & Festive and is from the Holiday Mini. I stamped with Basic Gray and colored with a Blender Pen. The Designer Series Paper is Letters to Santa and I added texture with the Big Shot and the Petals-a-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. To make the Scallop Rectangle I used the Scallop Square #2 Die and cut a square first then put the square back on the die but moved the bottom scallop down one and cut it off making the square a rectangle. I will take a few pictures to explain that better tomorrow when there is daylight. Until then I am off to bed to get some sleep. We have another busy day tomorrow and I have Wedding Invites to finish for a Swap I am taking part in. They are about half finished as I did all the scoring and cutting tonight. Halloween Club Card

Good afternoon! I am going to share the the project we did at Stamp Club this week with you today. This card has several elements and extras but it was fun to do and will be fun to give away too! The card stock that we used is Old Olive, Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Whisper White, and Basic Gray. We also used the Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper, Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Spider Wed Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and a Basic Black Mini Clip just a few accessories. ;) The two stamp sets are Fun & Festive which is in the Holiday Mini and Sweet Centers. Jet Black Stazon was used to stamp the Happy Halloween and then it was colored in with a Blender Pen and various Stamp Pads. The Eek You're Sweet was inked up with the Basic Black, Old Olive and Cajun Craze Stampin Write Markers. Oh and of course what is a card without a few punches. In this case we used the 1 1/4" Circle and the 1 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch. I am finishing up packing for a workshop tonight then tomorrow I am taking the boys on a road trip to see Kaylee run in Joplin. Bring on the Birthday Final Card

Hello, well my boys had a good first day of school and are back for their second day. My youngest was tired this morning due to a late baseball practice last night so it is probably a good thing they have an early out again today. Yesterday was my first Bring on the Birthday Cards Class and I enjoyed it so much. I only had one stamper but she is new to stamping and sometimes one on one is great. Tonight I have a full group and it will be just as much fun. The ladies coming tonight have all stamped before so the class should move right along. Today I have the final Birthday Card. It uses a couple of different Designer Series Paper including Nursery Nest and Just Add Cake. The stamp set is once again Bring on the Cake and I have stamped the image directly on the Designer Series Paper with the Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad before coloring the Birthday with Marina Mist, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Perfect Plum Classic Stampin' Pads and a Blender Pen. I added just a touch of Marina Mist 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon on the edge of the Designer Series Paper. I used both the Petite Pennants Builder Punch and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch on the card as well as the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder. Such a fun card to make and of course receive. Are you wishing you would have attend this class and you didn't have the time well, I have a special deal for you. Big Top Birthday!

Good morning, this is going to be a quick post as I have a lot to do before I send all the kids off to school today. They all have a half day, Kaylee due to extreme heat and the boys because it is their first day. The card I am sharing today is another card for my Bring on the Birthday Cards Class which is today and tomorrow. The cards uses Real Red, Tempting Turqouise and Whisper White. I used various circle punches to make the card and the Big Top Birthday Designer Series Paper. Oh and one of my favorite new embossing folders Stripes. I used it last week to make the fun plaid backgrounds. The stamp set is Bring on the Cake and we are using it on all five of the cards in the class. Ok, that's it for today. Beau Chateau Birthday Wishes

Good morning, I am happy to say that I have been stamping. I finished two new cards yesterday and another one today so I will have new cards to share for the next three days and if I can keep the ideas flowing then I will keep on stamping. My boys start back to school tomorrow and I can get back into a routine with my mornings being for stamping and then I have the rest of the day for other things. :)
Today's card is one that we will be making at the Bring on the Birthday Cards class that I am having tomorrow and Thursday. This card is a case from the catalog and can be found on page 160. I made a few changes like the colors, turning the card sideways, leaving off the ribbon and adding the sentiment under the flower instead of in one of the squares but the layout is still the same. I really like the Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper and as just a reminder it is one of the packs of paper that is included in the Buy 3 get one Free Offer that ends on August 31. One thing I do want to point out is that the center of the flower looks shining, well I didn't have buttons that worked for this card so I made my own. I used the Sweet Buttons Embosslits Die and cut out three of the same button, stacked them on top of each other and then added Crystal Effects to the top one to make it all Glossy and shiny. You do need to allow extra time for the button to dry but it is worth the wait. I will be premaking these today for the classes so that there will be no wait time. ;)

Hostess Gift!

Good morning! I am hoping that this week I can get back into a regular posting schedule. Last week was crazy busy with lots of events and deadlines to meet so my posting was a little lacking. Sorry about that. :( I did have a wonderful week stamping with a lot of different people. Wednesday night I had a workshop for Paula and she had a lot of friends and family attend. I hope they all enjoyed themselves I know I sure did. I always give my hostess a gift in addition to their catalog just as an extra thank you for having me into their home and for Paula's I made a candle that has had the butterfly from the Strength and Hope stamp set added to it. This is a fun technique and really dresses up a plain candle. For the colors I pulled the colors from the Pocketful of Posies Designer Series Paper that a made the box from. The box was so easy to make using our new Simply Scored Scoring Tool which will be available next month. (As Demonstrators we get to preorder and I have loved using mine) The lid is made from Rich Razzleberry Card Stock and to make the box extra special I added a Big Shot Fun Flower. I cut the flower out in Night of Navy, Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White. Before I added the Vintage Brad I used my Shimmer Spray and spritzed each flower and scrunched them. I love the shine and shimmer plus it makes the flowers easier to form and shape.

I have finished cutting all the Designer Series Paper for the shares and there are so many fun prints and since they are buy 3 get 1 free right now there is no better time to stock up.

Designer Birthday Wishes!

Good afternoon! Well, summer is offically coming to an end. I went today and we got my Daughter's class schedule for her Sophomore year. The years seem to fly by and with each passing year is of course another Birthday. Since I have so many Birthdays in the next two months I really need to get a lot of cards made plus I have my upcoming Bring on the Birthday Cards Class. I am not sure if this will be a card for class or not but I do like the way it turned out and am glad the UPS man dropped off the Not Quite Navy Taffeta Ribbon this morning because it is just what this card needed. The Designer Series Paper is from the Paisley Petals Paper Pack and after adhering the 1" strips I cut it out with the Top Note Bigz Die then added some texture with the Houndstooth Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I sanded the raised areas just a bit to give it a more worn look like that favorite quilt that gets used and loved in places that makes it all soft and comfortable. The sentiment is from the Bring of the Cake Stamp Set and was stamped in Not Quite Navy and punched out with the Wide Oval Punch. The mat is River Rock Card Stock and was made by cutting out two Top Notes then cutting each in half one in each direction. Then with some layering you get a mat that is larger than the full Top Note. Of course I could have cut the trim line around the top note but I had the main image done before I thought to add the mat.

I am going to try and do some more stamping today as well as cut the ribbon for the ribbon shares so that they are ready for delivery. I love the start of the new catalog with all the new items that are available to purchase but to purchase them all can get costly and I have little patience to wait for the next month. :) Probably why I became a Demonstrator.
