Bordering On Romance is going soon....

Good morning and welcome back! I haven't been very good about posting but good news I have four new cards to share with you over the next few days. Some have a bit of the retiring items while one has new colors. Today I have a card I made this weekend that uses the soon to be retired Bordering on Romance Stamp Set. This set is so much fun to watercolor and I did just that with our ink pads and Aquapainter. I used soon to be retiring colors on this card and stamped the flowers twice. I cut out the blue flowers and added them with Dimensionals, SNAIL and Glue Dots so that each has a different height. The colors are Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. The bottom of the card was cut with the Adorning Accents Edgelits after the Baja Breeze Card Stock was added to the Whisper White base. I used the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits to make the Pretty in Pink piece behind my main image. The flowers were punched out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch and I finished off the card with a 5/8" Organza Ribbon Bow and a few Basic Pearl Accents. I left a sentiment off the card so I could use it for any occasion such as a quick note of thanks or maybe a Birthday. Nature Walk Retiring Soon

Good morning and welcome back! I hope you took the time to hop with us yesterday and see all the great projects that the Sqaud made. It is always nice to get inpiration from others. Today I have a couple of more swap cards for you. They use the Nature Walk Stamp Set which will be retirng at the end of the month. I do not own this set so it is nice to get swaps when I go to convention so I have a variety to share with you.

The first card was made by Holly Krautkremer and she used So Saffron, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla for her Card Stock, and Cherry Cobbler and So Saffron Ink. The Scallop Trim Border Punch was used along the side and she added just a bit of 1/8" Marina Mist Taffeta Ribbon.

 

 

The second card is made by Brenda Taylor and she used Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla Card Stock with the Soft Suede Ink. Some Crochet Trim and an Antique Brad really finish this card off. Bye-Bye Elements of Style

Good morning, I am working on some retiring stamp set projects for later in the week but while you wait I thought I would share a few more swaps that I have received that are retiring. I don't know who made either of these as there are no names but if you made either please let me know and I will add your name. Both use the Elements of Style Stamp Set. I really like this set and have had so much fun colors it and doing different techniques with it. I have used it on tile and cards and scrapbook pages. It really is a great set. The first card uses a fun technique that I haven't tried. The main panel is stamped with the image that has been colored with markers then cut apart, sponged and reassembled to make it look like an amazing tile wall. There is a some shimmer added with Shimmer Paint (which is retiring also) and then the sentiment is added. The base color is Soft Suede with Very Vanilla.

 

The second card as a few retired products on it but I will focus on the stamp set for today. The image is stamped in the oval with Baja Breeze Ink (retiring) and then the hummingbird is cut out after it was stamped. The sentiment is from a different stamp set but any sentiment will do on this card. The embossing folder that was used on the scallop oval is Vintage Wallpaper and is my go to embossing folder and it is retiring. :-( I am going to miss that folder. Artistic Etchings Going, Going

Good morning, I thought I would feature a few stamp sets that will soon be retiring. I have taken my display board down and am going to share with you a few cards that I have received as swaps through the years. If I know who made the card I will be sure and tell you. The first set featured is Artistic Etchings. I have this set and have used it quite a bit including on Convention Swaps.

 

 

This card was made by Kathy Lancetti and she used the following supplies: Artistic Etchings Stamp Set, Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Certainly Celery (retiring), and Confetti Card Stock, Early Espresso, Marina Mist, and Certainly Celery (retiring) Ink. Accessories: Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon and the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

 This card was made by Susan Rodgers. The supplies she used were again the Artistic Etchings Stamp Set Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, Early Espresso, Whisper White and Baja Breeze (retiring) Card Stock, Early Espresso and Baja Breeze Ink and then just a bit of Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon.
The background stamp she used is retired and then she added texture with the Square Lattice Folder. Both cards are very pretty and show case the stamp set well. If you haven't ordered this set please let me know and we can get an order ready for you.

A few more One Sheet Wonder Cards

Stamp Challenge

Good morning, I have a new card for you today because I actually stamped yesterday. Granted it was only one stamp but I did make a card. :-) This card was made completely with items that were all ready out on my craft table. I challenged myself to not get any new supplies or items out including Big Shot Dies. The card uses Tangerine Tango Card Stock, Island Indigo Card Stock and Whisper White Card Stock. The Designer Series paper is the Summer Smooches and the Stamp Set is the soon to be retiring but one of my favorites Sincere Salutations. I used the Tangerine Tango and Island Indigo Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the Birthda Wishes for a two color look then punched it out with the Wide Oval Punch. Can you see the fun texture on the Island Indigo Card Stock? I did that with the Diagonal Score Plate. It is so easy to add just a bit of texture with it too. The scallops are made with the Tasteful Trim XL Bigz Die that just happened to be out from a project. Oh and i almost forgot the new Daffodil delight Seam Binding and the Summer Smooches Fabric Brads that are available now. The brads will only be available this month so if you would like to order them please contact me. I don't want you to miss out. I have plans to do some more stamping and also to pull out all my retiring stamp sets today. I have 48 sets that will be retiring soon and there are a lot of great sets. Summer Smooches Purse

Wow this month is flying by which means the Summer Smooches Promotion will be ending on April 30th. For club last week we made this Summer Smooches Purse using the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper, Island Indigo Card Stock, Daffodil Delight Card Stock, Petite Purses Bigs Die, Daffodil Delight Button, Island Indigo Baker's Twine and Dotted Ribbon Scallop Punch. The purses are so easy to make with only two pieces of Sticky Strip and can be embellished so many ways.

Retirement List Dates Announced

Stampin'Up! is making changes in their schedule for the current Catalog. The current Catalog will be ending on May 31st instead of June 30. Stampin'Up! has also announced that they will be discontinuing the Decor Elements and the Simply Adorned Line after the current catalog. The dates to watch for updates are April 15- Retiring Stamp Set List will be available. The Stamp Set that are retiring will be available until May 31. April 25- Retiring Accessories/ Decor Elements List will be posted. The items on this list will be only while supplies last so please place your orders early to avoid dissappointment when something sells out. New Digital Downloads and A Sneak Peak

Today is Tuesday so it is once again time for new Digital Downloads for My Digital Studio. I need to get busy and make a new header for my blog and start scrapbooking all the pictures I have been taking at baseball games and during our summer activities. Next I have a sneak peak and a few retiring products all on one card. The card includes one of the new 2011 In Colors and a new punch. Then color is Wisteria Wonder and the punch is the Lace Ribbon Border Punch and it punches out a strip. You can see just a portion of the punch on this card because I layered the soon to be retired Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon over it but I think you can get an idea of just how big this punch it and how pretty it is too. The Stamp Set is one of my favorites and I will be so said to see it retire but as a hostess set it was of course only meant to be in the catalog for a year. I stamped the hydrangea on Whisper White Card Stock and watercolored with the Pear Pizzazz, Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant Classic Ink Pads and the Aquapainter. I layered the image on Basic Black Card Stock which I think makes the card look quite elegant. To add just a touch of texture I used the Big Shot and the Perfect Details Texturz Plate. I sponged the raised embossed areas just a bit with the Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink Pad and a sponge to show the details even more. If you wanted to add a little more detail you could use 2 Way glue and add some Dazzling Diamonds but for now the card is finished.

So what do you think of the new Wisteria Wonder? I am excited to have it added to our collection of colors. We need a new purple color and this one fits nicely. I haven't used the new colors much but have plans to this week so be sure and watch for more info and sneak peaks. Well, I guess they are only sneak peak for a few more days because on July 1st the new catalog goes live and everyone can start ordering from it. :) Still need a catalog just let me know. Lucky You!

Good morning! I once again and playing with some of the retiring stamp sets and while looking through them thought that Tart and Tangy would be great to make a slot machine inspired card. Just realized that my card is slanted in the picture sorry about that. The base is Real Red and I used Basic Black and Whisper White Card Stock on the card. The Cherries are inked with the Real Red and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers. I inked the sentiment which is from the Afterthought Hostess Set with the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker omitting the bottom portion. The card front needed something else so it received a little texture thanks to the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. While I am talking about the Big Shot how would you like to earn one for half price? Call me and I will tell you how I can help you make that happen. Father's Day

Good afternoon! I hope you had a great weekend! We did but it was a busy one, most weeks seem to be that way. The card I am sharing today was one of the Father's Day Cards we made for this weekend. It includes the Country Side Stamp Set and the retiring All Holiday's Stamp Set. The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Basic Black with some watercolor paper for the main image. I used both watercolor crayons and ink pads to color the images. I used the Square Lattice Impressions Embossing Texture Folder to add interest to the

main card. The inside of the card is also decorated and since the Happy Father's Day is one image I inked it with Stampin' Write Markers and then cut it apart before adding it to the card.
Today is the first day that we can hand out the new 2011-2012 Stampin'Up Catalog. If you would like to receive a copy and have not already contact me please do so. I am down to my last box of catalogs and will be reordering soon and want to make sure I have enough. Remember if you are a Club member your catalog will be spiral bound. Teddy Time!

Good morning! It is Monday and today I want to share another card using some retiring products including the stamp set Teddy and Train. The stamp set is one that I haven't used much I think this is only the second time I have had it out and inked it up. It is such a cute little set for baby cards and little boy cards. The other main stamp is in case you can't guess a train image. I may play around with that one in the next day or two, but we will see. The colors are Baja Breeze, Whisper White and Pear Pizzazz. The Designer Series Paper is Nursery Suite. The bear was colored with Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze Classic Ink Pads and the Aquapainter. I made the scalloped edge piece by cutting it twice and making it slightly smaller the second time. I will take pictures or try an video to show you how I did it. The ribbon is 1/8" Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon and I used the Word Window Punch to punch out the Bundle of Joy Sentiment after I stamped it with Jet Black Stazon. Thanks for stopping by today. Bye-Bye Bugs!

Hello! We have had a busy morning but I am home now, at least for a little while and have a new card for you. This is another card that we will be doing tomorrow night at the Cards on the Move Class. It is a Waterfall Card with a full inside for your message. When the retirement list was announced I was not surprised to see Bugs and Kisses on the list but it is still a great set to have especially for boys which I have plenty of at my house. ;) The designer series paper is the Build a Bear Workshop Pawsitively Prints which is not only retiring but also on sale while supplies last. For the colors I used Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive. The little pull tab is made with the 1 3/8" x 5/8" Oval Punch which is also retiring at the end of June. I stamped the Whisper White inside panel with a few Real Red Ants so that is looks like they are climbing up the sides and top. These are my favorite kind of ants the stamped ones that don't really move.
Now that I have all the retiring set pulled out I will be working my way through them and using them again before they go. If you see one or more that you need to purchase before the end of the month give me a call and we will place your order.

Buzzin By into Retirement

Good evening! I got to stamp today and I am excited to share the new card with you. This will be one of the cards we are making on Friday at the Cards That Move Class. I used lots of soon to be retiring items on this card including the Just Buzzin' By Stamp Set, Daffodil Delight 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, and Jumbo Eyelets. This card is fun in that there is a secret message on the front of the card that you discover then you pull the ribbon. The other colors that I used on this card are Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Confetti Cream and Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. For ink I used Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, and Daffodil Delight Classic Ink Pads and the Jet Black Stazon Pad. The Big Shot also came in hand on this card since I used three different items including the 3" Circle Die, Scallop #2 Die and the Elegant Lines Textured Impressions Folder.

The second picture is the card when the ribbon has been pulled the the message is displayed.

Paper Bag Scrapbook

Hello and good evening! Today's project is inspired by my daughter's Paper Bag Scrapbook that she made in class this year. I really thought it was fun and since I hadn't tried one and had some time to play around I gave it a try. So here are a few pages and the cover design. I think this would make a great class or project for teens. I used 4 paper bags and punched the holes with the Crop-a-dile for the ribbon. I used the soon to be retired Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon and the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper (which is on sale and retiring soon)and the Enjoy Life Stamp Set (also retiring) to decorate the Paper Bag Album. One really neat thing I discovered and didn't add a picture of but will later is that the journal circle stamp that comes with the Enjoy Life Stamp Set fit perfectly with the new 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch that will be available July 1st. So be sure and order your stamp set before it retires. I did add a couple of Whisper White pages that can be pulled out from the open end of the paper bag so that you can add extra pictures or you could also add tickets from movies, or other items you want to keep. There are several punches used including the Round Tab Extra Large Punch, 5 Petal Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch and the Photo Corner Extra Large Punch. Remember that all the current punches are being retired and most are being redesigned to the new flat style that we have had in our recent Mini Catalogs.

New In Colors For You!

Good afternoon, I hope you are having a great day! We have been busy and have a full evening planned if it doesn't rain. Our last regular season baseball game is tonight so I am really, really, really, hoping we get to play it. I know that you didn't stop by today to hear about our evening activities now did you ? I do have a new card to share with you and it contains New In Colors and a retiring stamp set. A little mix of something old something new. ;) The stamp set I used is One of a Kind and it is only available until June 30 so if you want to buy it please don't forget. It also has a coordinating punch for the three flowers that are on the upper most Right hand corner. This card is a little different in size in that it is a 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" finished card. The base is the new Concord Crush Card Stock and I also used Peach Parfait Card Stock and Whisper White Card Stock. I don't have the stamp pads yet for the new In Colors as they aren't available at this time so I used the In Color Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the flowers. I added Pear Pizzazz to the card and I really like this color combo. It is so fresh and fun! The markers and card stock will be available to purchase on July 1. Starring You Birthday!

Hello and Happy Monday! We had a fun weekend at our house even though the rain changed a few of our plans. I can't believe how quickly this month is passing. Have you had a chance to place your order for the retiring stamp sets or accessories? If not don't delay as the list of sold out items sets longer all every day. For today's post I used the soon to be retired Starring You Stamp Set, but I also used some a returning Incolor and other colors from our new Brights Collection. I spent part of my weekend reorganizing my Card Stock Collection and I really love how the new Collections look together and I think I will be using the Brights Collection a lot more. Supplies used are: Starring You Stamp Set, Pacific Point Card Stock and Classic Stamp Pad, Real Red Card Stock and Classic Stamp Pad, Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and Classic Stamp Pad, Whisper White Card Stock, Star Punch and 1 3/8" Circle Punch. This card went to a special friend of my youngest. We had a lot of fun at his party and I hope he enjoyed his card. Baby Wipe Technique

Good morning, I haven't had much time for posting the last few days. I have been busy working on projects and of course hanging out with the kids. Today's card is one that we made last night for Stamp Club. I of course wanted to use a few retiring items and decided to use the True Friends Stamp Set. I have been encouraging everyone to pick up reinkers for all the retiring colors so that you can always reink your stamp pads and keep them good for years to come but Reinkers are also great for several techniques including the one we did last night which is a Baby Wipe Technique. This technique is fairly simple. All you need is a paper or styrofoam plate, baby wipes and reinkers. You are going to create your own multicolored stamp pad with these items. Fold the baby wipe in half once and place on your plate. Start with your darkest reinker which for this card was Rose Red. Place three drops on the baby wipe then add your next color (Cameo Coral which is retiring) we placed five or six drops on the wipe and then filled in with the lightest color which was Barely Banana (also retiring). The drops will spread and make a multicolor stamp pad. You then ink up your stamp and stamp as usual. The background and main flower are stamped with the baby wipe. We also used Cameo Coral, Barely Banana, Rose Red and Whisper White Card Stock. The Cameo Coral and Barely Banana are retiring colors and are available while supplies last. The only other item used on the card besides adhesive is Rose Red 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon which is also on the retirement list.
