Awash with Flowers

Good afternoon, the weekend flew by but I did get to stamp a quick card for you today. I love when I can squeeze in some stamping time. :) Also just a reminder that the Retiring Accessories List will be released in just 2 days and the items I used on this card are sure to be on the list. The colors are three of the 2010-2012 In Colors which will all be retiring so be sure and order your reinkers, card stock, ribbon and any of the other In Color Items that you can't live without because they are likely to sell out quickly. The card uses the Awash with Flowers Stamp Set that is also retiring. I decided not to add a sentiment to the card at this time since I am not sure what this one will be sent for. The colors are Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzaz, Garden Green, Perfect Plum and Cajun Craze. I added Peach Parfait Twill Ribbon to add an extra touch to the card. I love the twill ribbon and hope we see more of it in different colors in the new catalog since all the In Color Twill Ribbon will be retiring. Well, that is it for today. Garden Butterfly

Good morning! Thank you to all of you that came to my Cards That Move Class on Friday. I enjoyed seeing you all and will be emailing out dimensions for the cards later today. I hope that you had a great weekend. Ours was busy with Kaylee leaving on Mission Trip and baseball for all three of my boys over the weekend too. I didn't stamp this weekend but I do still have some cards to share from the class and others that Kaylee and I have been working on. Today's card is a spinner card which means the butterfly moves across the card front and spins or flutters by. The card is pretty simple so I will just give you supplies and if you have any questions please let me know. We stamped the inside also but I forgot to get a picture of it. :( I am hoping to get lots of stamping done today with some of the retiring stamp sets. Another Card by Kaylee

Hello! I hope you are enjoying the Memorial Day Weekend. We have had a quiet day at our house but yesterday we spent the evening with my family cooking out and just relaxing. Today's card is yet another card made by my wonderful daughter. She made this card for a friend that had a birthday over the weekend. For supplies she used: Rich Razzleberry Card Stock, Classic Ink Pad and Stampin' Write Marker, Tempting Turquoise Card Stock, Classic Ink Pad and Stampin' Write Marker, Whisper White Card Stock, Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink Pad, Stampin' Write Marker and Designer Series Paper, Circle Circus Stamp Set, Pretty Postage Stamp Set and the coordinating Postage Stamp Punch, Rich Razzleberry 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Word Play Stamp Set (which is only on sale for a few more days), and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. If you are wondering how this card is made then be sure and check out my class this Friday night. We are doing a card similar to this one and three other interactive cards. I will warn you though once you make a card like this they are so much fun to play with that you almost don't want to give it away.

Garden Butterflies

Good evening, tonight I am sharing the last card we did at Hannah's birthday party. This one features Peach Parfait and butterflies made with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die and the Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper. There is some texture added with the Big Shot and the Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Stamp Set we used is Great Friend and the sentiment and framed image where stamped in Basic Gray Classic Ink and the Stamp-a-ma-jig was used to line them up on the Whisper White Card Stock that was cut out with the Matchbox Bigz XL Die. Did you know that the Matchbox Die includes three different tags in addition to the Matchbox. We did a little sponging around the tag with the Peach Parfait Classic Ink Pad and a Sponge Dauber. The strip behind the butterflies and the tags are Pear Pizzazz and Poppy Parade. I am going to try and do some stamping tonight and tomorrow while we have a free day so I hope to post again later tomorrow night, if the weather allows for pictures. Concord Irises

Hello everyone! I love the Build a Blossom Stamp Set and thought it would be fun to try a different type of flower than the traditional flower so I decide to make an Iris. I love Irises and have a variety of colors. This card is one that I made for a swap I recently participated. The colors I used are Concord Crush, Whisper White, and Certainly Celery. The Iris was stamped by using the solid image off stamped with Concord Crush then the detailed stamp stamped with Concord Crush at full strength. The center of the Iris has a Basic Pearl. The Blossom Petals Punch makes punching out all the petals for the card super fast and easy. :) The thanks is from the Thank you Kindly Stamp Set and was stamped with Basic Gray Classic Ink on Whisper White Card Stock then punched out with the 1 3/4"x 7/8" Oval Punch and layered with a Certainly Celery Scallop Oval Punch. The ribbon is 5/8" Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon that was scrunched and attached with Sticky Strip. I have found a better way to scrunch the ribbon that I will be sharing on another card soon. Hoping to see some sun today so I can take a few pictures of projects we did over the weekend. The base is Concord Crush with a layer of Certainly Celery then a embossed layer of Whisper White. The new Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is great to frame a project and so easy to use. I think I will be using it quite a big in the coming months.

Fabric Ornament

Good morning! Today's post is going to be short because I have lots to get done before I head off to judge a debate tournament. Judging will be a new experience for me so we will see how it goes. Now back to today's project. I love our Designer Series Fabric. I really enjoy sewing and like to change my crafting mediums from time to time so fabric is a great variety. This ornament that I made is really easy, no sewing and kids can help. Love the kids friendly crafts. All I used was a wire hanger (cut in half so that I could make two ornaments), the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Fabric cut into 1"x 5" strips and assorted ribbon. Make a circle with your wire then start tying the fabric on the wire. I used just a simple single know to make mine. Continue all the way around the wire alternating the fabric as you go. When you are done adding the fabric I added the Real Red Satin Ribbon to the top to hang the ornament and then added the Blushing Bride Ribbon in a few spots through out the fabric. I could have added more Real Red Ribbon but decided I liked it without. I did make a larger wreath version but I will share that another day. Well, I have to run. Birthday Pennant Card!

Pennant are hot in the paper crafting world right now. So while at Convention Carrie Cudney showed us a super cute and easy way to make pennants and this card is based on the one she shared with us. I just loved the idea of showcasing the new In Colors and they look so cheery and fun together. To make the pennant all you need is the Star Punch and Paper Snips, yep it really is that easy. Punch out one of each of the five In Color Designer Series Papers. You can pick the patterns you like best for my card I picked the stripes and polka dots. After you have the stars punched you cut one point at the base off the star. This gives you the pennant, so you can make five pennants from one star. The base is Pear Pizzazz. The pennant banner is added to a layer of Crumb Cake Card Stock that I have poked two holes into with the Paper Piercing Tool. Add a piece of Hemp Twine for your Pennant String secured on the back side of the paper and you are ready to add the pennants. I secured them with Mini Glue Dots making sure that the glue dot is at the top of the pennant. Attach the pennant to both the Hemp Twine and the Crumb Cake Card Stock and your pennant banner will stay in place. To finish off the card we used the Happy Birthday from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and Concord Crush Classic Stamp Pad. Simple but cute and easy to give. Cottage Garden Swap

Good evening! I am still a little tried from last week and this week is a busy week for our family again with VBS at our church. The kids and I are involved with some part and are having lots of fun. I am also getting ready for my Convention Open House which is Saturday from 1pm- 3pm at my house. Need directions just give me a call and I will be happy to give you directions. Today's card is another swap that I made for Convention. This swap was a new stamp set swap and we needed to use a stamp set that was new to this catalog and not a preorder set. I picked the new Cottage Garden Stamp Set and decided to pair is this some of our new In Colors, Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, and Peach Parfait. I really like the new colors as they are so bright and cheerful. I also used the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, Beautiful Butterflies Wings Embosslits Die and the Scallop Trim Coroner Punch. I also added a few of the new Basic Rhinestone Jewels. If you have any questions about this card or if you would like to place an order let me know. Introducing Blushing Bride!

Good morning, today I would like to introduce you to two new colors that Stampin'Up! introduced in the new catalog. The first is Blushing Bride and the second is Early Espresso. I am enjoying playing with all the new colors and trying out new combos. The new Color Coach is great for suggesting new color combos and there is even a place to add your own favorites. How sweet is that. Today's card is one that we made this weekend at my New Catalog Card Class. It is fairly simple but uses several new products and a new stamp set. The base card stock is the new In Color Blushing Bride and the ink color is also the same. The stamp set is Style Beautiful and is new and available in Clear Mount or Wood Mount. After stamping the biggest stamp on the bottom corner of the card I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White Card Stock then punched it out with the Wide Oval Punch and layered it with a Lots Of Tags Die cut from Early Espresso Card Stock. Early Espresso is a darker more rich color than Chocolate Chip. I added two of the new Basic Rhinestones Jewels that have adhesive on the back and are ready to add to any project. I can see myself using a lot of these. I finished off the card with Whisper White Organza and 1/8" Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon tied together into a knot. The 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon is a fun size to layer with some of our wider ribbons and is easy to tie. This week is going to be a busy week. I have Stamp Club tomorrow night and then I will be busy finishing up my swaps for Convention. It is hard to believe that I leave a week from tomorrow. New In Colors For You!

Good afternoon, I hope you are having a great day! We have been busy and have a full evening planned if it doesn't rain. Our last regular season baseball game is tonight so I am really, really, really, hoping we get to play it. I know that you didn't stop by today to hear about our evening activities now did you ? I do have a new card to share with you and it contains New In Colors and a retiring stamp set. A little mix of something old something new. ;) The stamp set I used is One of a Kind and it is only available until June 30 so if you want to buy it please don't forget. It also has a coordinating punch for the three flowers that are on the upper most Right hand corner. This card is a little different in size in that it is a 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" finished card. The base is the new Concord Crush Card Stock and I also used Peach Parfait Card Stock and Whisper White Card Stock. I don't have the stamp pads yet for the new In Colors as they aren't available at this time so I used the In Color Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the flowers. I added Pear Pizzazz to the card and I really like this color combo. It is so fresh and fun! The markers and card stock will be available to purchase on July 1.
