Catalog Case Part 1

Good morning, it is a beautiful day and Spring in the air, so with that in mind I am in a Spring mood with my cards right now. The card I have for you today is one we did at Stamp Club last night and it uses fun Spring like colors and flowers. The colors are Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso, Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White. We used the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder to add texture to the base of the card and the 3 1/2" Circle Die to add the Lucky Limeade circle to the card. The Flowers were punched out with the Boho Blossoms (Whisper White) and the new Blossom Punch (Wisteria Wonder) . They were layered together then we added a Lucky Limeade Polka Dot Brad to the center. I really like the Berry Blossoms Designer Series Paper that we added to this card and need to use it more. The sentiment is from Bring On the Cake Stamp Set which is a must have stamp set for Birthdays. We used Early Espresso for stamping. Before we added the Calypso Coral Bakers Twine we added just a bit of detail along the bottom edge of the Whisper White with the Paper Piercing Tool and the Mat Pack. Now for the Case part, whenever I take a break from Stamping I find it hard to get back into the routine again and Sunday I decided to look through the catalog for a layout to case and found the card on page 73 which became this card. Imagine my surprise when I received my Stampin' Success (a magazine for Demonstrator ask me how you can get a copy too) on Monday and there was an article about CASEing the catalog. :) The catalog is a valuable resource that we sometimes forget to use to it's fullest potential. So I challenge you to pull out your catalog and find a card to CASE. If you do add a link to the comments so I can take a look at your creation too. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Give Thanks!

Hello and Happy Monday! What a beautiful weekend it was here in Missouri. We spent most of Saturday outside and yesterday was spent inside catching up for the week ahead. I did get a chance to stamp a super quick card yesterday however and hope to do a little stamping today hopefully with the Big Shot in mind. Don't forget you can get a FREE Big Shot this month when you sign up to become a demonstrator. Call me at 816-662-1234 and I will be happy to give you all the details. Now back to the card. I pulled out the new Gently Falling and Hand Penned Stamp Sets and the More Mustard, Pool Party and Soft Suede Classic Ink Pads and Very Vanilla, Soft Suede and Pool Party Card Stock. The leaves and acorns were randomly stamped around the Give Thanks and then I sponged the edges as well as the Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon with a sponge and Soft Suede Classic Ink. I wanted something on just the corners and was going to punch them then decided to add the knotted ribbon. This card would be great to send to a special friend or for Thanksgiving. Who would you send it too? I all ready have someone in mind and just know that a hand made card will help brighten their day. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Little Duckie!

Hello and good afternoon! Today I want to share a fun card that I made this week with a new Technique that was featured at Convention by Jan Tink of Stamp, Paper, Scissors. The technique piece is the plaid background that can be seen behind the duckie. To make this piece all you need it the Big Shot, Striped Embossing Folder, Brayer, Classic Ink Pad(s) and White Card Stock. The colors for this card are Calypso Coral, Pool Party, and Whisper White. The duck includes Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. The duck is from the Easy Events Stamp Set and is punched out with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch after is was colored with the Aquapainter. I added a Calypso Coral Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch piece to the side of the card and to finish off the card I used my sewing machine and stitched. The stitching was quite easy and I will probably more likely to stitch on my cards in the future but I really want to start a new sewing project too, possibly a Christmas one. One more night of club this evening and then I have a few days off but need to work on more Birthday cards for the Bring on the Brithday Cards Class. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

I saw this layout in my resent PaperCrafters Magazine and since Stampin'Up! just released a new Pennant Punch and matching Stamp Set I just couldn't resist casing it. To make this card you will need to following supplies:

Pennant Parade Stamp Set (122740 Wood) (122742 Clear), Thank You Kindly (111700), Pool Party Card Stock (122924), Whisper White Card Stock (100730), Early Espresso Classic Ink Pad (119670), Calypso Coral Classic Ink Pad (122939), Basic Rhinestones Jewels (119246) Early Espresso/White Baker's Twine (123124), Petite Pennant Builder (122361), Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (113439), Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates (114512), Petal Cone Bigz L Die (121810).

New Digital Downloads and A Sneak Peak

Today is Tuesday so it is once again time for new Digital Downloads for My Digital Studio. I need to get busy and make a new header for my blog and start scrapbooking all the pictures I have been taking at baseball games and during our summer activities. Hmm, when to find the time in the day to do that. ;) If you would like to check out today's downloads then be sure and head over here. If you have any questions about how to purchase the downloads or how you can get started with My Digital Studio then please don't hesitate to ask. I am always happy to help.

Next I have a sneak peak and a few retiring products all on one card. The card includes one of the new 2011 In Colors and a new punch. Then color is Wisteria Wonder and the punch is the Lace Ribbon Border Punch and it punches out a strip. You can see just a portion of the punch on this card because I layered the soon to be retired Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon over it but I think you can get an idea of just how big this punch it and how pretty it is too. The Stamp Set is one of my favorites and I will be so said to see it retire but as a hostess set it was of course only meant to be in the catalog for a year. I stamped the hydrangea on Whisper White Card Stock and watercolored with the Pear Pizzazz, Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant Classic Ink Pads and the Aquapainter. I layered the image on Basic Black Card Stock which I think makes the card look quite elegant. To add just a touch of texture I used the Big Shot and the Perfect Details Texturz Plate. I sponged the raised embossed areas just a bit with the Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink Pad and a sponge to show the details even more. If you wanted to add a little more detail you could use 2 Way glue and add some Dazzling Diamonds but for now the card is finished.

So what do you think of the new Wisteria Wonder? I am excited to have it added to our collection of colors. We need a new purple color and this one fits nicely. I haven't used the new colors much but have plans to this week so be sure and watch for more info and sneak peaks. Well, I guess they are only sneak peak for a few more days because on July 1st the new catalog goes live and everyone can start ordering from it. :) Still need a catalog just let me know. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya
