Workshop Happiness Always

Good morning! I already posted about the new digital downloads that are available today so if you would like to see those please scroll down. Today's card is one that we did at my workshop Friday. I wanted to use the Fifth Avenue Floral set but wanted to keep the technique simple since it was a workshop. The layout is similar to another card which I will share later with you. The supplies we used are Bravo Burgandy, Card Stock and Classic Ink Pad, Pretty in Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Pink Pirouette Card Stock and Classic Ink Pad, Basic Gray Classic Ink Pad, Saraha Sand Card Stock and Very Vanilla Card Stock. We used the Happy Greetings Stamp Set and the Scallop Trim Border Punch. This card makes a really quick and easy wedding card and can be changed to match the colors of any wedding.

Fabric Ornament

Good morning! Today's post is going to be short because I have lots to get done before I head off to judge a debate tournament. Judging will be a new experience for me so we will see how it goes. Now back to today's project. I love our Designer Series Fabric. I really enjoy sewing and like to change my crafting mediums from time to time so fabric is a great variety. This ornament that I made is really easy, no sewing and kids can help. Love the kids friendly crafts. All I used was a wire hanger (cut in half so that I could make two ornaments), the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Fabric cut into 1"x 5" strips and assorted ribbon. Make a circle with your wire then start tying the fabric on the wire. I used just a simple single know to make mine. Continue all the way around the wire alternating the fabric as you go. When you are done adding the fabric I added the Real Red Satin Ribbon to the top to hang the ornament and then added the Blushing Bride Ribbon in a few spots through out the fabric. I could have added more Real Red Ribbon but decided I liked it without. I did make a larger wreath version but I will share that another day. Well, I have to run. Red Toile by Kaylee

Hello, this as not been a stamping weekend but rather a cleaning weekend. Yuck! not my favorite activity but sometimes it does have to be done. Today I am sharing a card my Daughter did in the style of the one a shared last week. I really like the Real Red as it really makes me think of the Toile Fabrics that you see in so many design styles. This is also one of the cards that we will be making next week at my Elements of Style Class. If you would like to attend there are two options.

Elegant So Saffron

Are you tired of this stamp set yet? I just love the look of it and I am working on different options for stamping with it. I really want to stamp it on a tile but I haven't had a chance yet. The card today is my Mom's Mother's Day Card. One of her favorite colors is yellow so I picked So Saffron Card Stock. I stamped the swirl stamp all over the base with the So Saffron Classic Stamp Pad then I sponged the edges with a sponge dauber. The floral image is stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad. I watercolored with the Aquapainter, So Saffron Classic Ink, More Mustard Classic Ink, and Old Olive Classic Ink. I sponged the edges a little with So Saffron before matting it on Basic Gray Card Stock. I added 5/8" Satin Basic Gray Ribbon. To finish off the card I added the For You sentiment to the bottom corner. If you would like to order this stamp set you can order it online or by contacting me. Pink Toile Card

Hello and thanks for stopping by. I made today's card yesterday and I must admit that I am ready to make more in other color combos. I have saw some beautiful cards made with the Element of Style Stamp Set that were done in a monochromatic color scheme and they reminded me of Toile Fabric so I had to give one a try. I decided to use Pretty in Pink for my color scheme and Whisper White. I stamped the floral image several times on the Whisper White Card Stock with the Pretty in Pink Classic Stamp Pad and adhered it to my Pretty in Pink Card stock base. I added the 5/8" Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon around the left hand side. I next stamped the Life is a matter of moments sentiment on Whisper White Card Stock with Pretty in Pink and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch and adhered it to a Pretty in Pink Scallop Oval Punch. The sentiment was added to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and it is ready to send. After making the card I googled Toile and discovered some other fun color combos including a yellow with black that I think would look fantastic with our new Daffodil Delight Card Stock. Thank You Cards

Hello, everyone and thank you for stopping by today. I have been busy working on Thank you cards to send to all my customers that placed orders in February with me. I decided to make the same design for all but just change the color of card stock. I needed quite a few so I kept them fairly simple. I used the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper (I love this paper) for the insides of the cards. The bases consist of Old Olive Card Stock, Rich Razzleberry Card Stock, and Orchid Opulence Card Stock. I cut the card stock to 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2" then using the Big Shot and the Movers and Shapers Die with the Scallop Oval Die I cut out half of the scallop oval at the score line. I used the Oval All Stamp Set since it coordinates so nicely with the Scallop Oval Punch and stamped the Thank You in with either Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad or Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin' Pad. To finish off the card I used the Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon or Whisper White Organza Ribbon. The inside of the card has the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper punched with the Scallop Edge Punch or the Scallop Trim Border Punch (only a few more days to get it free). I added Whisper White Card Stock on the inside of the card too so that it is easier to write in. I don't write in these however as I want my wonderful customers to be able to give the card if they would like. New Baby Fun!

Good morning, hope you are having a great weekend. The sun is shining which is a big plus. A couple of days ago I shared a card that I had CASE'd from one that Renee VanStralen had made. This is the second card that I had made that day using the same layout. The base is Pretty in Pink Card Stock, I also used Whisper White and Rose Red Card Stock, the Designer Series Paper is from Tea Party. I used two stamp sets Fox and Friends and Family Phrases. The ribbon is Pretty in Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon and there are three punches used on this card, the Scallop Edge Punch, Scallop Circle Punch and the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I inked up the whale with the Pretty in Pink and Rose Red Stampin' Write Markers. It is really hard to see in this picture but on the upper part of the card I have stamped happy new baby in Pretty in Pink Classic Ink. Nothing to fancy about the card just simple and sweet.

Monkeying Around!

Good evening! I have found that this week it is just easier to post of an evening after all the activities of the day are done. Hopefully next week I will be back posting during the day but this works for now. I recently received my Stampin' Success Magazine and there was a article about Renee VanStralen and a really cute card with the Fox and Friends Stamp Set and I just couldn't resist CASEing it. Now for those of you wondering was Stampin' Success is, it is a great monthly Magazine that Stampin'UP! puts out. How do you receive it well, all you have to do is sign up to be a Demonstrator. It is just one of the great perks of being a Demonstrator. The layout is the same but I made a few changes and took off a layer or two. I used the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper and Taken with Teal Card Stock, Fox and Friends Stamp Set, Family Phrases Stamp Set, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pad, Whisper White Card Stock, Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon. After making

the outside of the card I just couldn't resist added a few monkeys on the inside too. They are just so cute and playful. This would make a great birthday card for a little boy or girl. I also used the Scallop Edge Punch on the inside of the card just to finish off the Whisper White card Stock. I made another card in a similar layout but for a new baby. Maybe I will share it tomorrow.

Vintage Razzleberry

Hello, I had a workshop this weekend and one of the cards that we made was this one. I really love these colors together and this set is so pretty. The stamp set is Vintage Vogue and I used the coordinating wheel Very Vintage. The colors for the card are Kraft Card Stock, Rich Razzleberry Card Stock, Pale Plum Card Stock, Close to Cocoa Card Stock and Very Vanilla Card Stock. Ink colors are Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin' Pad, Pale Plum Classic Stampin' Pad and Close to Cocoa Classic Stamp' Pad. We also used the new Very Vanilla 5/8" Satin Ribbon and the Modern Label Punch. The punch was layered on the Big Shot Movers and Shapers Coordinating Modern Label Die. See how nicely they layer. Just a few dimensionals and this card is ready to send. I love the sentiment "Life Happens. Love Helps." Do you know someone that could use a few words of encouragement? Why not sent them a handmade card, I guarantee they will appreciate it. Well, I am off to watch Olympics with my older kids before I send them off to bed. Vintage Flowers

Good morning, I am going to make this a quick post as I have to get back to school soon to tour a high school with my daughter. Today's card is one that we are doing in Stamp Club this month. When I received my Occasions Mini this was a stamp set that I knew I had to have. I just love the vintage look and after stamping with it I am so glad that I purchased it early. The stamp set is Vintage Vogue (117690 wood mount, 118598 clear mount). This set also has a coordinating wheel which I will show you on a future card. I started with a base of Kraft Card Stock (102125) and then used the Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049) to stamp the flower edge four times down the left side of the card with the Close to Cocoa Classic Stampin' Pad (103139). If you look under the Old Olive 5/8" Satin Ribbon (117292) you can see the stamping that I am talking about. There is a space between the two sides that is about of 1/4" for the ribbon. Next we moved onto the main image which is inked up with the Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write Marker (100072) and the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker (116329). This was stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock (101650). We also stamped the small flower and the leaf on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock with Old Olive Classic Ink (102277) and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker (116329)before cutting them out. The flower was added with a Stampin' Dimensional (104430) and the leaves were added with Mini Glue Dots (103683). To finish off the flower we added a small half back pearl. Now for the fun part making the Chocolate Chip Card Stock (102128) mat to go behind the image. We started with a 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" piece of card stock and used both the Scallop Trim Corner (118870) and the Scallop Trim Border (118402). Now this is a practice makes perfect type of project but once you figure out a size that works best with the punches it really is a fun way to add that something extra to your card.
