Awash with Flowers

Good afternoon, the weekend flew by but I did get to stamp a quick card for you today. I love when I can squeeze in some stamping time. :) Also just a reminder that the Retiring Accessories List will be released in just 2 days and the items I used on this card are sure to be on the list. The colors are three of the 2010-2012 In Colors which will all be retiring so be sure and order your reinkers, card stock, ribbon and any of the other In Color Items that you can't live without because they are likely to sell out quickly. The card uses the Awash with Flowers Stamp Set that is also retiring. I decided not to add a sentiment to the card at this time since I am not sure what this one will be sent for. The colors are Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzaz, Garden Green, Perfect Plum and Cajun Craze. I added Peach Parfait Twill Ribbon to add an extra touch to the card. I love the twill ribbon and hope we see more of it in different colors in the new catalog since all the In Color Twill Ribbon will be retiring. Well, that is it for today. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Greenhouse Garden Take 2

Hello again, yes two post in one day. How odd is that? Ok don't answer that, please. While making the scrapbook page from the last post I went ahead and stamped a Whisper White Strip of Card Stock with a card in mind and after I wrote the last post I had a few minutes so I whipped up this card. I used the same basic supplies just a few different card stock colors but ink colors are the same. I really like how the black looks with the bright colors it really makes them pop. The set is a 2 step stamping set and it is easy to use. If you would like to purchase it remember that if you place your order before Friday the set is 20% off. What a great sale. Supplies used are:
Summer Sun Card Stock, Bermuda Bay Card Stock, Basic Black Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Black Staz on Ink, Orchid Opulence Classic Stamp Pad, Bermuda Bay Classic Stamp Pad, Pixie Pink Classic Stamp Pad, Summer Sun Classic Stamp Pad, Greenhouse Garden Stamp Set and All Holidays Stamp Set. That is it for today. I am off to pick up my kids from school and after my daughter's track practice we have two baseball games. See you tomorrow, Tonya

Awash with Apricot!

Since the announcement of the Color Renovation, I have been trying to use more of the colors that will soon be retiring. Now I will be the first to admit that these are not colors I tend to use often, some occasionally but not by any means often. So I decided to start with Apricot Appeal I do like these color and at one time used it quite a bit but not recently. I wanted to pair it with a purple color and chose Almost Amethyst. The stamp set that I used is the new sneak peak set Awash with Flowers that is available this month either for order or you can earn it free for hosting a workshop of $350 or more. Awash with Flowers is a two step stamping set. I started the card by stamping the solid image larger flower and the line image of the same flower inked with the Apricot Appeal Classic Stamp Pad randomly on the Apricot Appeal Card Stock. Then I added a layer of Almost Amethyst Card Stock that had the corners rounded with our 3/16" Corner Rounder Punch. The Scalloped Whisper White Card Stock was made with the Big Shot and the Clear Scallop Square Die. I used the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad to stamp the flower image and stem. Then I stamped the solid portion of the flower and leaves with the Almost Amethyst Classic Stamp Pad and the Mellow Moss Classic Stamp Pad. I added a knotted piece of Apricot Appeal Grosgrain 1/4" Ribbon. The for you sentiment is from the All Holidays Stamp Set, it was stamped with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad on Whisper White Card Stock then punched out with the Small Oval Punch and added to the card with Mini Glue Dots. Tomorrow night is Stamp Club and we will be using this stamp set for one of our projects if you would like to attend please contact me and I will be happy to cut extra supplies for you.
Remember all of the colors used on this card with the exception of Whisper White will be retiring at the end of June. I would encourage you to stock up on card stock and purchase a reinker if these are colors that you regularly use or really love. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you came back again. Happy Stampin', Tonya
