Concord Irises

Hello everyone! I love the Build a Blossom Stamp Set and thought it would be fun to try a different type of flower than the traditional flower so I decide to make an Iris. I love Irises and have a variety of colors. This card is one that I made for a swap I recently participated. The colors I used are Concord Crush, Whisper White, and Certainly Celery. The Iris was stamped by using the solid image off stamped with Concord Crush then the detailed stamp stamped with Concord Crush at full strength. The center of the Iris has a Basic Pearl. The Blossom Petals Punch makes punching out all the petals for the card super fast and easy. :) The thanks is from the Thank you Kindly Stamp Set and was stamped with Basic Gray Classic Ink on Whisper White Card Stock then punched out with the 1 3/4"x 7/8" Oval Punch and layered with a Certainly Celery Scallop Oval Punch. The ribbon is 5/8" Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon that was scrunched and attached with Sticky Strip. I have found a better way to scrunch the ribbon that I will be sharing on another card soon. Hoping to see some sun today so I can take a few pictures of projects we did over the weekend. The base is Concord Crush with a layer of Certainly Celery then a embossed layer of Whisper White. The new Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is great to frame a project and so easy to use. I think I will be using it quite a big in the coming months.
That is it for today's card. Today is a planning day for my upcoming Birthday Card Class. I need to finish up some samples and of course spend some time with the kids since they are home today for Martin Luther King Day. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Kangaroo Love!

Hello! I didn't get a chance to stamp today but I have a card that I did earlier in the week. I really like the Build a Roo Stamp Set and I haven't used it in quite a while so I pulled it out for a Valentine's Day card. I used Real Red Card Stock, Early Espresso Card Stock and Real Red Pattern Print Designer Series Paper. The Kangaroo was stamped with Jet Black StazOn on Watercolor Paper and colored with a Blender Ben and Early Espresso Classic Ink, the hearts were colored with the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker. The hearts are cut out and added with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added the Polka Dots with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. If you look closely you can see the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch that I added to the top and bottom of the Real Red Pattern Paper. Not to elaborate but it would be a great card for the kids in your life for Valentine's Day or just because. I may save this one for one of my little guys for Valentine's Day. This set also makes great baby cards and thank you cards. Tomorrow I will be working on more Valentine's Projects before my Saturday Classes so hopefully I will have new project to post on Monday. Have a great weekend and I hope you stop by again, Tonya

Thinking of You

I think this is my favorite set from the New Occasions Mini ( or at least it is for this week ;) I think my favorite thing about it is the Coordinating punch that makes building the flowers so easy. It really takes only a few minutes to have a beautiful flower. For this card the card stock used is: Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla, and Peach Parfait. Then for ink we used Cajun Craze, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz and Basic Gray. The stamp set is Build A Blossom and the coordinating punch is Blossom Petals Punch. I let my club ladies pick what sentiment they wanted on the card but they were all from Sincere Salutations. We also added the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to the Very Vanilla Card Stock and the flower was finished off with a Antique Brad. I did find that they flower was easier to make this time by first building it on a 1" Circle then attaching the circle to the card front. Another nice thing about this stamp set is that you can use the different images to allow for more variety. The inside of the card has a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock with some leaves added to the coroners. On the inside leaves we used both the solid image (off stamped once) and the image with the detail (stamped at full strength).
I hope you enjoyed today's card. I am working on Valentine's Cards today and hope to have a new one to share with you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Lego Birthday Card

So today was another snow day at our house and another birthday. I think the boys have enjoyed having the time off for their birthdays but I am ready for them to go back to school which they are supposed to do tomorrow. My youngest loves Legos so I decided that Lego Birthday card was in order. The base of the card is Crumb Cake and I used Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point and Real Red. The sentiment is from the Family Phrases Stamp Set. I really like this set for Kid's Birthday Cards. I used a few other supplies like the Coroner Rounder, the small circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, and the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder. The Lego Head was made by rounding the coroners of a small square then I free handed the face with the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. The card was a success which makes me happy. I will be back tomorrow with a new card that we did for club this month. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Wish Big!

Good afternoon, we are getting our first snow storm of the year today and I almost wonder if my sons didn't get their birthday wish. You see yesterday and tomorrow are two of my sons birthdays and both wanted to go sledding and with this snow it looks like they will be able to do that as soon as the snow stops. Yesterday we added a new teenager to our household and since I knew he was wanting snow I made this card for his birthday. It is a hybrid card as I used My Digital Studio for the Snowboarder. The Download is Extreme Snowboard and only cost $.95. I printed it off in Basic Black and then made the rest of the card. The base is Pacific Point with Pacific Point Classic Ink used to stamp the snowflakes from Serene Snowflakes. I tore Whisper White Card Stock and sponged the edges to create the snow hills. To add the sky and snowline behind the snowboarder I printed a second image and cut it and used it to mask the first so I could sponge around him. I used both Bashful Blue and Pacific Point to make the sky. The snowboarding image was mounted on a Old Olive Mat and attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Wish Big is from the Word Play Stamp Set and was stamped with Pacific Point Classic Ink on Whisper White Card Stock then punched out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch. Now when he received this card there was no snow so I wonder what he wished for as he blew out his candles last night. ;) I am stamping today as it is Stamp Club week and I have a Valentine's Day Class this weekend. What a wonderful way to spend a snowy day. I hope you are enjoying the snow day and don't have to venture out but if you do stay safe and drive careful. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back again really soon, Tonya

Hearts, Hearts and more Hearts

Good evening, I did get a chance to stamp yesterday but finding time to post has been a small problem, but I knew that I would sneak in a few minutes if I was just patient. Today's card using Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink and Early Espresso which came straight from the Color Coach. I used the stamp set I {Heart} Hearts which is from the main catalog. The other supplies used were Pretty In Pink, Whisper White and Early Espresso Card Stock. Melon Mambo, Early Espresso, and Pretty in Pink Stampin' Write Markers. Heart to Heart Punch, Pinking Hearts Border Punch, Pretty in Pink 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Big Shot and the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This is a perfect card for that special someone in your life whether is be for Valentine's or an Anniversary. I am going to keep this post short as I need to get some sleep tonight. Busy day tomorrow. :) Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Spring Time awaits!

I know that Springtime is still quite a while away but when I saw this stamp set in the Occasions Mini I just knew I had to have it. I love everything about it from the silhouette girl to the tree branch with flowers. It is such a pretty set. This card is one that I did for a swap that I am taking part in. I used several new items on the card and I am excited to share it with you. First the card stock is Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze, and Crumb Cake. The inks used are Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, and Versamark. The little girl is embossed using Crumb Cake Classic Ink and Versamark with Clear Embossing Powder before the tree branches were added. I also used the Spritz Tool with the Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker on the main image and colored the flowers in with the Blender Pen and Baja Breeze Classic Ink Pad. The oval is made with the Frame Scallop Oval Die and the Big Shot. The corners of the Crumb Cake Frame were punched with the Scallop Trim Corner Punch. The new Designer Paper which is so pretty is the Springtime Vintage. I can't wait to use it some more. The Baja Breeze Seam Binding is also new and if you loved the ones in the Holiday Mini then you will be thrilled that not only are they back in the Occasions Mini but they also added Crumb Cake, Rose Red and Pear Pizzazz in addition to the Baja Breeze. My daughter loved the new Vintage Flower Adornments when she saw them so I ordered those first thing and I am so glad I did. They are flat on the back and attach easily to your project with Mini Glue Dots. You get three colors Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze and Rose Red, eight of each for only $5.95. Are you ready for Spring? I know I am but until then I will keep playing with the wonderful new Springtime Vintage Suite. To see the complete line of the Springtime Vintage be sure and check out my online store. Thanks for stopping by. I am hoping to find sometime to stamp today and if so I will be sure and share with you tomorrow. Until then have a great day, Tonya

A Very Special Birthday Card and A new Stamp Set!

Good morning today is a busy day but I wanted to share with you a card that I made yesterday using new items from the Occasions Mini which started TODAY! I love this Mini and there are so many things from it that I want to buy but I am trying to be good and only get a few at a time. Today's card is for my Grandma who is celebrating her Birthday today. She is back in the hospital so my daughter and I are headed to see her shortly and spend the day with her. I baked a cake and I know other family members will be stopping by to wish her a happy birthday as well. Her card is Blushing Bride with Perfect Plum Card Stock and Classic Ink. The stamp set is the New Build a Blossom and I used the new Blossom Petals Punch to punch out the petals and leaves after I stamped them. I love it when Stampin'Up! makes coordinating punches so we don't have to cut out stamped images. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations Stamp Set which is in the Main Catalog. It was stamped in Basic Gray Classic Ink. The flower has a Antique Brad Center which I think really helps finish the flower. If you look closely at the edges of the Whisper White Card Stock you will see a new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder called Framed Tulips. I just can't resist the Embossing folders. They add just a little extra to every card. All items to make this card are available to order and I would be happy to help you. If you don't have an Occasions Mini yet contact me and I will get you one so you can take a look for yourself at all the wonderful new products. Sorry for the short post but I am eager to get on the road. Have a great day and Thank you for stopping by, Tonya
