Stylin' Stampin' Squad April Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to our April Blog Hop. I hope you take the time to continue on the hop from here or if you are coming from Rose's Blog thank you for stopping by. Our theme for this month is Spring, Flowers and Weddings and I have a little bit of them all. The first project uses the new Petite Purse Bigz Die that is available this month from the Summer Smooches Collection. This purse is just so cute but it is small. I made mine from Wisteria Wonder Card Stock then used the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set to stamp the small flowers on the purse before I used Sticky Strip to hold it together. I did some sponging on the edges with Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink also. The purse is closed with a flower made with the Boho Blossoms Punch and the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack with Basic Pearl. The purse was spritzed with Shimmer Paint and Rubbing Alcohol for extra shimmer. I think these purses would be very cute for a Bridal Shower to give each guest as they will hold chocolate or if you are a bride and want to give a little gift of jewelry to your bridesmaids these are a great size. I also discovered that you can put three little bottles of nail polish in each purse making it a perfect gift for any little girl. Now lets move onto a card.

I haven't used my Vintage Vogue Stamp Set for quite a while but it was our Challenge set for this month and it was once my go to set. I also used our Color Challenge colors which are Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant. This is not a usual color combo for me but I really like the colors together. I started with a base of Elegant Eggplant and used the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder to add some texture. Then I sponged the raised areas to give it more pop and definition. There is a layer of Lucky Limeade that has been stamped with Lucky Limeade Classic Ink and then the corner was punched out with the Scallop Trim Corner Punch. The main image was stamped with Lucky Limeade and Elegant Eggplant using the Rock-n-Roll technique and then layered on Wisteria Wonder Card Stock that has the bottom edge punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. To finish off the card I cut out a small flower and layered it with Very Vanilla Seam Binding and again used the Shimmer Mist spritz to make the card shimmer.

I felt like this card needed something special for the inside also so I stamped the Lucky Limeade Vines on the inside and used the Scallop Trim Border Punch across the bottom of the Very Vanilla Card Stock to give me a great place to write my message.

I hope you enjoyed the post today and I hope you will stop by again. I have another project almost complete for a later post that goes with our wedding theme. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to continue on the hop to Dawn's Blog. Have a great day, Tonya

The purse die is the next item on my list to purchase, it's so awesome to fit a small polish in there, I can give it to my nieces! - PW

Tonya, your projects just made me smile. That purse spritzed with shimmer with nail polish next to it totally screams bridal shower. So awesome!!!! I love the card, too. And when I saw that you had spritzed it, too, I love it even more. :)
