Happy Monday! What a fun filled weekend we had. It was jam packed with activities and no stamping went on at my house. :( So today I will share with you another project that we did at Stamp Club last week. I know I have mentioned it before but this is one of my favorite stamp sets in the catalog and I just had to share it with my Stamp Club ladies. For this card we watercolored with Blender Pens and Classic Ink. We also used Watercolor Paper. The other supplies used are:
Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry Card Stock, Pumpkin Pie 1 1/4" Striped Gorsgrain Ribbon, Rich Razzleberry, Cajun Craze, Basic Black, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Blushing Bride and Blush Blossom Stampin' Write Markers, Blender Pen, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Modern Label Punch, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder, Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Black Flourish Designer Jewels, Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die, Jet Black Stazon, Whisper White Craft Ink, Sponge, and All Holidays Stamp Set. All of the embossed areas were sponged with the Whisper White Craft Ink to accent the embossing. Doesn't she look like she is ready to Halloween all though she doesn't look like she is going to scare anyone. :) Well, that's it for today. First Day of School!

Good morning! Today is the first day of school for my boys and so everyone is back in school and my house sure is quiet. I do have a list of things to complete before they come home today (only a half day for everyone) but before I start those I wanted to share a cute little 3"x3" card with you today and a couple of pictures of my kids on their first days of school. I hope their day goes well and that they enjoy catching up with all their friends on the summer time fun. Now back to the card. I LOVE the new stamp set Greeting Card Kids and have been using it a lot lately. I will share some more cards later that I have made with it, today I decided to use the school kids. I stamped them with Jet Black Stazon and watercolored with the Watercolor Crayons and Blender Pen. I used some sponging to make the sky with the Bashful Blue Classic Stamp Pad and then added a little ground with the Blender Pen and Chocolate Chip Marker. I may add a little more sponging on the ground but haven't quite decided yet. This card is the perfect size to send a note to the teacher or even slip in your child's lunch box or backpack to let them know you are thinking of them. If you haven't taken a look at this stamp set I encourage you to! It is just to cute and if you want to watercolor then it is the perfect set. Well, I am off to run errands, do laundry and start working on the three folders of papers I need to fill out for school. Birthday Fun!

Hello all! Sorry for not posting much the last few days. Life has been busy with so much going on in our family. It has been fun and I do have some projects to share but just haven't had time to write up the posts. So today I am sharing with you a Birthday card that I made for my niece recently. She just turned 9 and is quite the kid. She likes thinks bright so I though a tempting turquoise card was in order. I used the new Island Oasis Designer Series Paper that has been Scalloped along the bottom with the Scallop Edge Punch. Then I pulled out my Bitty Birthday Stamp Set and started stamping. Each image is stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad. I used So Saffron, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise, and Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink Pads and Blender Pens to color in the images. They were layered behind So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red Card Stock. To finish up the card I added the Happy Birthday sentiment to the bottom of the card and layered it behind a Modern Label Punch with a few Silver Brads. I think she liked the card and she even commented that she had the one I made her from last year still. Makes me feel good to have her say that. Guest Blogger

Good evening, no time to stamp today. It was a busy day at school with a wonderful Health Fair. There were so many booths for the kids to see and so much information for them to learn. I really enjoyed the day. Then it was off for two baseball games and baseball pictures. So today I am going to share a couple of cards from my favorite guest blogger. My wonderful daughter! She made this two card recently for a friend's birthday and since the friend really likes bright colors she went bright! The first card used the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper and the Priceless Stamp Set. The base is Pixie Pink and then a little Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White. The ink colors are Only Orange, Pixie Pink, Tempting Turquoise, and Summer Sun Classic Stamp Pads.

The second card is her friend's actual birthday card and it uses the Friends Rock Stamp Set. This is a popular stamp set at our house with both my teen and preteen. It is great for boys or girls, now of course the boys don't care for the butterflies but the guitar does rock! The card stock colors used were Only Orange, Pixie Pink and Whisper White. The ink colors are Only Orange, Tempting Turquoise, Summer Sun, and Pixie Pink Classic Stamp Pads. She colored the You Rock! with blender pen and the ink pads. This is an easy way to add color to a project with the supplies you already have. Off for the evening, I hope to get a few minutes to stamp tomorrow so I have something new to share tomorrow. I love Snowmen!

As the title of the post tells you I do love snowmen and if you have ever been in my house in the winter time you know that I collect them and like to leave them up most of the winter months. So when I saw this Level Two Hostess set I just knew that I had to have it. It is Snow Buddies (116505) and so easy to earn just by hosting a workshop that totals $300 or more. I really like that Stampin'Up! is offering new hostess sets in the Holiday Mini and I hope this trend continues in the Occasions Mini when it comes out in January. This card is inspired by a recent shopping trip I made to a retail store in town. It always seems that this particular store has an unusual color combo for their Christmas Decor and while this year they went very traditional with Red, Gold and White I did happen to see a group of dishes and accessories in their housewares department that had snowmen and a very bright playful color combo that I thought would be just perfect for a nontraditional card. I came home and got busy playing with the colors and started with the center image and worked from there. There are two snowmen in this set and I stamped the larger one on a sheet of Whisper White Card Stock (100730) with Basic Gray Classic Ink (109120). I added the twig arms and then stamped the hat on a separate piece of Whisper White Card Stock to be colored, cut out and added. I used my Blender Pens to color the Snowman with Real Red (103133), Pixie Pink (105212), Green Galore (102122) and Bashful Blue (105209) Classic Ink. I added some 2-Way Glue (100425 )and Dazzling Diamonds (102023) to the snowman body and his hat for extra sparkle. I made the Bashful Blue (105120) Scalloped Rectangle with the Big Shot and the Stampin'Up! Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die (115950). For the base of the card I used Pixie Pink Card Stock (105121) and added a few Snowflakes also from the Snow Buddies Stamp Set with Versamark (102283). I used Green Galore Textured Card Stock (108698) for the strip across the bottom and Paper Pierced it before I added it to the front of the card with the Mat Pack (105826) and Paper-Piercing Tool (116631). Before adding the Scallop Rectangle and the Snowman with Stampin' Dimensionals I added 1/2" Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon from the Mistletoe Ribbon Originals (116792). This ribbon is in the Holiday Mini Catalog and in addition to the Red and White Double Stitched Grosgrain there is also a beautiful 3/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon in the set.

Monday Morning Sneak Peak

Good morning! I hope that you all had a great weekend. We had two baseball games and two wins. One more game tonight and the regular season is over. Then it is tournament play next week.The summer is going by so quickly and of course in just two days we will kick off a new Catalog. If you would still like to receive a copy please let me know. I still have some extras. Now of course you didn't come by today to hear about baseball so I have a sneak peak card to share with you today. Actually some is new and some is old. I am loving this color combo of Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry. They look so elegant together. The base of the card is Rich Razzleberry Card Stock (115316) cut 4 1/4" x 11. The card stock is then placed on the Stampin'Up! Movers & Shapers Curly Label Big Shot Die (114506) and placed in the Big Shot (113439). This Die not only scores and cuts your card stock but it also cuts a window in your card so allow a message or image to show through. On this card the cut out matches with our Curly Label Punch and the cut out can be moved any where on the front of your card. How cool is that. I just recently bought this die after seeing one of the new items in the catalog. I can't say more until Wednesday but it made this die a must for me. Now I do want you to know that the die is going up in price on Wednesday by $3 so if you want to order one before the price increase please do so soon. Now back to the card. I stamped the Love You image from Dreams du Jour (111624). I used a blender pen and Rich Razzleberry (115658), Melon Mambo (115656) and Old Olive (102272) Classic Stampin' Pads to color the flower. The image was then punched out with Curly Label Punch (112208). I used SNAIL adhesive to attach the label inside the card so that is showed through the window. The Old Olive Patterns Designer Series Paper(112160) is in both the current catalog and the new catalog so I used a leftover piece on this card. I scalloped the edge with our Scallop Edge Punch (112091). Now those of you that have the new Catalog are probably wonder where the Rich Razzleberry Solid Ribbon is well is is actually the 1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon that is Polka Dot on one side and solid on the other. This gives you two options and I really liked the solid on this card. It was pretty each to tie the knot so that the polka dots didn't show. This is just one of the wonderful ribbons that is included in my Ribbon Share (see post below for more info). All items are available to order after Noon Mountain Time on Wednesday. My Kids' Father's Day Card

Happy Monday Morning! I hope that you all had a great weekend. Today is supposed to be super hot, what a great day to stay inside and stamp. At least that is my plan for today well part of it if you don't include the cleaning, laundry and trying to keep the kids quiet while DH tries to sleep after working all night last night.
Today's card to brought to you by my DD. This is the card she made for her dad for Father's Day yesterday. The layout is similar to the one we did at club this month but she didn't use ribbon or stamp a background. She instead used the Designer Series Pattern Paper. Funny thing about the pattern she picked after she was making the card we realized that DH has a shirt in almost the same color and print as the background. I guess that is why she thought is looked like her dad. I will add the product recipe at the end of the post since it is a pretty straight forward card. The remote does use the Retiring and Out of Stock Key Tag Punch but you could easily substitute a rectangle with the corners rounded.
There are only nine days left to get this set or any of the sets in the Occasions Mini or on the Last Chance List. I can't believe how fast the month has gone by but it does bring us closer to the new Catalog. I have not received my cases of catalogs yet but will post about it when I do.
