Ornament Tags

 

 

I love the Big Shot and all the wonderful things it can do. One of my favorites is cutting through metal. Yesterday I was playing around and came up with these two ornaments that you can use for tags on a gift and can still be used later. All  you need to do is use a permenant marker to write a message or even the year and they are ready to go. For both I used metal flashing that you can find at your local home improvement store, the Big Shot, the larger of the Scallop Squares from the Scallop Square Duo Bigz Die, embossing folders I used both the Delicate Designs Folder and the Northern Flurry Folder, Basic Rhinestones that have been colored with a permanant marker and ribbon. In my case I used retired ribbon since I am working on these for a craft show I am doing in December. I made a larger one also but I will share that another day.

Christmas Keepsake Ornament

Good morning, well I have been trying to stamp but just haven't been completing many cards this week. Lots of ideas but thus far they are just pictures on paper. Instead I thought I would share another ornament made with the Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies and the Be a Good Cheer Designer Series Paper. I also added the Cherry Faceted Designer Series Button and a Large Pearl Basic Jewel. The Rosette in the middle is made with the Simple Scored Scoring Tool and the Scallop Trim Border Punch. To add just a bit of glimmer and sparkle I spritzed it with Frost White Shimmer Paint mixed with Rubbing Alcohol. We will be making an ornament like this in my upcoming Ornament Class in November. Greeting Card Kids Ornament

Hello and Good evening, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thank you to all of you that stopped by for the All Things Stampin'Up! Blog Hop. It was great to hear from so many of you. Today I want to share with you an ornament that I made with a Window Sheet, Jet Black Stazon and the Greeting Card Kids Stamp Set. I used some other supplies but I will get to those in a bit. First Stamp your image with the Jet Black Stazon onto the Window Sheet. I then flipped the image over and colored it with Permanent Markers. Our Stampin' Write Markers don't work for this process as they don't dry on the Window Sheet. Then I punched out the image with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch and added a thin layer of Crystal Effect on the side that I had stamped the image on. Note this will reverse the image from the orginal so if using a image with words then add the Crystal Effect on the side with the Permanent Marker. I don't add the Crystal Effects to the marker side just because the marker can some time bleed into the Crystal Effects and cause a halo of color around the image. After adding the Crystal Effects I poured Dazzling Diamonds of the still wet Crystal Effects to give the image a glittery snowy appearance. Let the ornament dry overnight. I used the 1/16" Handheld Punch to add a hole into the top and thread a piece of thin rope or twine through. I then rolled the Window Sheet and pushed it through the opening of the glass ornament holding onto the twine at the top of the ornament. I secured the ends on the outside of the ornament to keep the image upright and then added the top back onto the ornament so it could be added to the tree. Your ornament can be personalized with a name or date. I hope you enjoyed this ornament. Let me know if you have any questions or would like more info. The Holiday Mini is Here!

Good morning, I know I am a day late in getting this posted as the Holiday Mini started yesterday but I do want to share with you a start to my Christmas decorations for this year that are made with one of my favorite new products in the Holiday Mini it is something that demonstrators have asked for for quite a while and it is going to make doing 3D projects so much faster and easier. We know carry the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and I made both of these decorations with it and so can you. Both use the Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper which I stocked up on when I was on special last month. For the blue ornament (since I think these will be getting a string at the top and hung on my Stampin' Room Tree) was made by cutting out two of the larger Scallop circles on the Scallop Circle #2 Big Shot Die. I then scored them at each scallop and cut on scallop down to the center. Attach the two Scallops together to create a circle. This one is decorate with a few circle punches and the mittens from the Jolly Bingo Bits Stamp Set. To make the second ornament I used the 2 1/2 x 12" Strips of Designer Series Paper and scored both strips of DSP every 1/2" The center is decorated with Greeting Cards Kids which is still one of my favorite stamp sets. I used the new Mica Flakes for the Snow and the new Dazzling Details (think Dazzling Diamonds in a glue base that is so easy to use) around the Scallop Circle. I used markers and a blender pen to color in the little girl. Now since I cropped both pictures I thought I would give you a side by side comparison so that you could see how much bigger the 2 1/2" strips circle is than the scallop circle. I can't wait to try a few Halloween ones and of course there is so much more that can be done with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Razzleberry Ornament

Good morning, well it looks like the snow has finally stopped but it is definitely white. I am not sure how much we actually got as I haven't ventured out yet. Yesterday since we stayed home most of the day and everything was cancelled I was able to do some fun stamping. I have been thinking about making an ornament with the Pillow Box Die for a while now but just couldn't find the time, until yesterday that is. ;) I started with the Pillow Box Bigz Die (113466) and cut out a piece of Rich Razzleberry Card Stock (115316). I used my Silver Encore Pad (101039) to stamp the three small snowflakes from Serene Snowflakes (115438) on the pillow box. I then assembled the Pillow Box which is super simple with just one piece of Sticky Strip (104294). I then misted the box with some Shimmer Mist made with a spray bottle, Rubbing Alcohol and Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (116806). I stocked up on this as it is only available until Jan. 4. I then stamped the Merry Christmas image on Whisper White Card Stock (100730) with Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink (115658). This image is available as a hostess set for anyone that purchases or host a workshop with a total of $150 or more (before taxes and shipping). Ask me how you can earn your own set. After punching out the stamped image with the Wide Oval Punch (112082) I added it to the Pillow Box with Stampin' Dimensionals. To make the Pillow Box into an Ornament I simply made holes in the top and bottom and ran a piece of Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon (109070) through the box I added a few clear beads and a white pearl from the Pretties Kit (109114) to the ribbon and the ornament is done. One of the fun things about this ornament is that it can hold goodies inside. Like candy, a pair of earrings, money or other small item. So that you can give a gift and they have the ornament to keep also.
