Rejoicing in Christmas Stain Glass

Good afternoon, sorry for not posting a project yesterday but it was a busy day and time just ran short. Today I am sharing the other card we did at club this week. I try to do a new technique at each club so this month is was Stain Glass using Vellum. This technique isn't really difficult just requires some drying time for the markers. We stamped the main image from Rejoicing in Christmas on the Vellum with Versamark then used Silver Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool to emboss the image. Then we flipped the vellum over and colored on the back of the image with the Stampin' Write Markers. The colors we used were Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, and Blush Blossom. Now for the drying time. It takes a while for the markers to dry so we actually did two other projects while it did but with the magic of the computer we can go straight to the next step. ;) Using Crystal Effect we attached the Vellum to a piece of Whisper White Card Stock cut the same size as the Vellum. We added just a few drops at the top left corner and under the sentiment. We used the 1/16" Circle Punch to punch a hole in the center of the star and added a Silver Brad. The Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon was tied around the image before it was attached to the Night of Navy Panel. The base of the card is Crumb Cake. The sentiment is also from the Rejoicing in Christmas Stamp Set and the punch we used is the Decorative Label Punch. The card stock was cut to 3/4" and then stamped with Night of Navy Classic Ink then inserted in the middle of the punch for the interesting sentiment. The sentiment was added with Stampin' Dimensionals and the card is finished. I don't think I would make one of these for every person on my Christmas List but it would be a great card for few special people in your life. If you would like to make this card and need to order the supplies you can do so online or by giving me a call. Well, the weekend has started for us and even though it is going to be a cold rainy one we still have lots of activities. I hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by. I will be back on Monday with a new post and don't forget that Monday is the first day you can sign up to be a Demonstrator for 50% off. Give me a call if you have questions about it. Thanks again, Tonya
