My favorite Accessory

So today we were asked to use our favorite accessory on our project well that was an easy decision for me because I love our Rhinestone Basic Jewels. They are always out on my table and I use them on almost all my projects. Why? I guess I just like bling. My card is fairly simple as it comes from the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit. This kit has everything you need to make the cards, 20 in all but I stepped it up just a bit by adding the rhinestones. There are sequins in the kit but I opted to save those for another project. Be sure and check out the other designers at SSINKspiration and thank you for stopping by!

Christmas in July

Are you ready for Christmas Cards? Well considering it takes me longer each year to get mine done I really should start now with the making process but what fun would that be. Now if you are the type to plan ahead then be sure and check out the cards today on our Blog. This card uses a lot of products that were carried over from the previous catalog and it is a lot of cutting but I love the results. Supplies used: Real Red, Whisper White and Basic Black Card Stock, Holly Jolly Greetings Stamp Set, Layering Circles Framelits, Christmas Greetings Thinlits, Real Red Glimmer Paper, Real Red Ink Pad, Basic Rhinestones, Woodland Embossing folder.

May Friday Favorite

Hello and welcome to another Friday Favorites. Today I want to share a favorite stamp set of mine with you: Another Thank you Stamp Set. I love all the thank you sentiments and let's face it we can never have to many thank you cards. I used a note card for my base and decided to use one of my favorite soon to be retired colors Blackberry Bliss to stamp and also for card stock accents. I used the Bitty Butterfly, Silver Ribbon and some Basic Rhinestones to make this simple yet elegant card. I almost forgot the doily behind the sentiment which was cut out with the Circle framelit. I could make this in all the In Colors for variety and they would make a great gift for a teacher, graduate or just a friend. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Friday Favorites

It is time for Friday Favorites and mine is the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies that I showed you yesterday. Today I decided to make two more cards with the same stamp set and basic supplies but with a different look. I also tried to showcase a few more of the sentiments that come with the Rose Wonder Stamp Set. The first card uses Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive. I cut the rose from Whisper White Card Stock and then sponged over the top and filled in the thinlit with some color. I added the sentiment which will be perfect for any upcoming weddings I might have this summer.

My second card uses the flower frame but instead of using the frame on the card I used it to made a stencil and sponged the Blackberry Bliss to created the flower image. The sentiment is also from the same set. I added just a bit of ribbon. The colors on this card are Blackberry Bliss and Soft Sky. If you haven't taken the time to look at the Rose Wonder Stamp Set and the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies then I urge you to do so because they are well worth the money.

Rose Garden Thinlits

Have you ever wondered why you waited so long to purchase something after you use it? That is the way I feel about the Rose Garden Thinlits Die and the Rose Wonder Stamp Set. I used the retiring Blackberry Bliss Card Stock with Soft Sky and Old Olive. Since I needed a framelit to go with the sentiment I pulled out the Deco Labels Set. I love the sparkle from the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and the Basic Rhinestone. My day job is at a church and the Rose Wonder Stamp Set is perfect to have to send out cards.

Shimmer and Shine

Today is the last day to join on Sale-a-bration so I wanted to share this card for with you that uses the Just for you Stamp Set. I wanted to play along with the Shimmer and Sparkle theme for the SSINKspiration Blog Post today so I created a fun polka dot background with Glimmer Paper, the Polka Dot Stencil and Bermuda Bay Ink. I added Watermelon Wonder for a fun spring feel and used a few punches to finish off the card. I will retake the picture later today but this cloudy morning did nothing for picture taking. If you still need to place your Sale-a-bration order you can do so online or by contacting me. Thanks for stopping by.

Still Time to Sale-a-brate

There is still a bit of time to Sale-a-brate but don't delay as time will soon run out. I was inkspired today by the Monday Mystery challenge to make this card with the Party Pants Stamp Set that you can get for Free with a $50 order. I used Pool Party, Soft Sky and Bermuda Bay to make an ombre card. I also added just a touch of a doily and Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine. There are so many sentiments in this stamp set that I could use this same layout and make a card for almost every occasion. Be sure and check out the rest of the cards on the SSINKspiration Blog. Thanks for stopping by!

March Madness

March Madness is really living up to it's name this year. Several of the "best" teams were out after the first round and even more have left the party during the second. My favorite team was one of those but that didn't stop me from making a card inspired by our team colors. The colors are Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Hello Honey with Basic Black accents. Now I should have grabbed the 3/8" Stitched Basic Black ribbon but you can die the Whisper White Satin Ribbon Black. I added a few star sequins because the college athletics are stars in their field. The stamp set is from the Sale-a-bration  set Perfect Pairings. I also used the Big Shot and the Project Life Die Set to cut out the sentiment. This card can also be used for a graduation card or for a special occasion. Be sure and check out Donna's card too.

Favorite DSP

Today the team is sharing their current favorite Designer Series Paper and I picked the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack. Now you might be saying to yourself that it is a Valentine's day paper but it really is all about love and that should be something we share everyday. I paired it with the Honeycomb Happiness Sale-a-bration Stamp Set and Blushing Bride Card Stock. I also used Crumb Cake and the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder. As an added bonus the Embossing Folder went on sale today for one of the Weekly Deals.  I am hoping this card lifts the spirits of the recipient and puts a smile on their face.

Boys Birthday Card

In a house full of boys you can never have to many Birthday cards and today I thought I would make one with a favorite set that I haven't used in a while. The stamp set is Boys will be Boys which is very true. For colors I went with primary ones and used Real Red, Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight. Other supplies include the Oval Framelits, Aquapainter, Washi Tape Punch and Zig Zag Embossing Folder.

Love Bug

February is here and I am thinking about Valentine's Day. With a daughter that has a bug I just couldn't resist buying the Beautiful Ride Stamp Set. It has so many options for cards and this little bug is headed off to a special Valentine. I used Blush Blossom and Bermuda Bay to water color the car after I embossed it with White Embossing Powder. The love bug is stamped with Basic Black Ink and then to add just a bit of extra accent I added the Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine and Blush Blossom Sequin Trim. Hopefully this little Bug will help brighten the day of a special someone.

Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites is one of my favorites too because I love to see what the other designers are using and what they consider their favorite item. For this card it was tough to decide my favorite. I finally decided the new Party Punch Pack is but it is because it goes so well with the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Pack or then there is the Confetti Textured Impression Embossing Folder. The stamp set is from the Sale-a-bration set Perfect Pairings and can be yours free when you purchase $50. The colors for the card are taken straight from the Designer Series Paper Stack. Quick and Easy with only a bit of stamping. Just what I have time for right now. :-) Thanks for stopping by and let me know if you have any questions.

Quick and Easy

Thank You

Hello! I haven't been stamping much but a new year is bringing new plans and a fresh start at stamping and blogging. Today the team is sharing Thank you cards and mine is perfect for a Christmas thank you. I wanted something wintery looking and the Lost Lagoon and Soft Sky are a cool combo. I paired it with the Holly Jolly Greeting Stamp Set and the Another Thank you Stamp Set. You might be saying that the Holly Jolly Greeting Stamp Set is set to be unavailable soon but that isn't the case. Stampin'Up! has decided to carry them forward and you can still order this fun set after January 4. I used the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder and I cut the Thank you out with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits. I added just a bit of 1/8" Silver Ribbon. I hope enjoy today card and that you stop by again. The next card I post will be quick and easy. Until then Happy New Year!!!
