August Card Sketch

Happy Anniversary!

Hello and welcome! It doesn't seem like a year ago we started the SSINKspiration Blog but it has been and to celebrate we are all sharing cards today. I decided to share a card and a cork board that I decorated to a classroom or a dorm room. Yesterday was my daughter's birthday so the card was for her and as she heads off to college this next week the cork board might just go with her too. I do have a few other college ideas though for her and I will share those next week. Supplies are: Smokey Slate Card Stock, Strawberry Slush Card Stock, Perfect Plum Ink Pad, Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad, Whisper White Card Stock, Dots and Stripes Decorative Mask, Flower Patch Stamp Set and Smokey Slate Ink Pad.

Simple Birthday Card

Hello and welcome! I have a simple birthday card for you today that we made a few weeks ago at the Birthday Card Class I hosted. The colors and Designer Paper are new this year so it makes for a fresh new look. I am going to keep this short as I have a busy day working with 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from our church and other churches in the area. Display Cards Part 2

I hope you enjoyed yesterday's card. Today I have two more cards for you using the Boys will Be Boys Stamp Set. With three boys in our house I feel like I will get plenty of use out of this set and the cards I have shared with you today and yesterday are just the start of the samples to come. Supplies: Real Red, Hello Honey, Island Indigo and Whisper White Card Stock, Memento Black Stamp Pad, Real Red Stamp Pad, Island Indigo Bakers Twine, Word bubbles Framelits, and Large Polka Dots Embossing folder. 

Boys Will Be Boys Convention Display

Convention starts today! I am home this year but my cards aren't. Our SSINKspiration team was chosen to be have a Project Board and the members of the team each picked a stamp set and featured it on the board. I used the new stamp set Boys will be Boys and this is one of the cards I made. I love the background that is made with an acrylic block and our Stampin' Write Markers with Whisper White card stock. Simply color on the block mist it with water and stamp the block directly on the card stock. I love how the colors make a camo like background for my army man. The Army man was stamped twice once on Whisper White and once on Crumb Cake. I cut out the parachute from the Crumb Cake and added it to the Whisper White and colored the Army man with the Old Olive Blendablities. The Sentiment was stamped and then I added just a bit of Burlap Ribbon behind it to really make the sentiment pop.
