Ghoulish Googlies

Good afternoon, are you looking for a quick and easy Halloween Treat idea? If so then check out the Ghoulish Googlies Bundle on Page 27 of the Holiday Mini. You can get the Googly Ghouls Stamp Set, 20 printed double sided tags, 10 glassine bags, 50 adhesive backed googly eyes and 10 pieces of Pumpkin Pie Baker's Twine. I used my bundle to make this cute treat container. I ran the Glassine Bag through the Big Shot with the Spider Web Folder. When using the bags for embossing don't use any tabs on your Big shot platform as it will cause the folder to cute through your bag. I stamped "Frankie" with Jet Black Stazon and then colored him with a Blender Pen and the Lucky Limeade Classic Ink Pad before I added the googly eyes. I wanted the printed tag to stand out just a bit more so I cut out Pumpkin Pie Card Stock with the Big Shot and the Label Collection Framelit. The Pumpkin Pie Label was also embossed with the Spider Web Folder then sponged with a sponge dauber and Basic Gray Classic Ink. I added the Baker's Twine and this treat bag is ready to fill. I have an additional project to share with you later that uses the extra printed tags you get with the Bundle. August is here which means the Holiday Mini starts! I love this mini and so many of the items in it are on my list to buy but to start out I decided to be good and only get a few which I will share my favorite with you today. It is the new Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies and Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set. Now Stampin'Up! has made this an even better deal by making it a bundle so you save more money. Which means you can buy more stamps, accessories, card stock. Well I think you get how it works.
My first project is inspired by the wonderful ornaments that are in the Mini Catalog. I knew that I wanted to make my own and the picture below shows just how mine turned out. To make it easier to tell which supplies are new in the Mini I am going to make them bold in the supply list.

Next I wanted to make a scrapbook page. The page is an 8"x8" page and features a picture of my kids from last years Christmas. I used their clothing colors to inspired the colors of the project. I rarely scrapbook anymore so I am always happy when the mood strikes and I feel like finishing a page. I think I will frame this one for a while just to show off my kids.

My final project is a Christmas Card. Happy Halloween

Good morning, I am going to post earlier today and hope that the rain moves out so that I can get my run in later. I had a workshop on Friday at Patti's house and one of the projects we made was this card. It uses the Dark & Dreary Stamp Set and Pick Your Poison Designer Series Paper. The base is Pumpkin Pie Card Stock with the Spider Web added with the Big Shot and then sponged with Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink. The Happy Halloween was stamped with Jet Black Stazon on Very Vanilla Card Stock and again on Perfect Plum Card Stock then the 31 was punched out. The main image was sponged with both Peach Parfait and Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink and we added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the image too. We also used Basic Gray Card Stock which was punched out with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch and Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon.
I have another night of Stamp Club tonight, it will be a larger group than last nights and I am excited to see everyone. :) I will be working on a few new projects today too and will share them with you as soon as I have them finished. Gently Falling

Hello and Good afternoon! I got a chance to try out the new Gently Falling Stamp Set yesterday and I love how it looks when stamped. It is a two step stamp set and is so easy to use. For the colors I decided to pull out the colors of the new Spice Cake Designer Series Paper but I left the Pool Party out for this card. So the final colors are Soft Suede, More Mustard and Pear Pizzazz. I used a few Big Shot items and added just a bit of Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon. The sentiment is from the Just Believe Stamp Set and was stamped on Confetti White Card Stock before it was punched out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch. I can't wait to try out some other color combos and this will definitely be a set that you will see again during Stamp Club and my Septemeber Workshops. I also have a project start with the Spice Cake Designer Series Fabric so be sure and check back for that one. Well, I received some new goodies today from the UPS man so I am heaed off to design new cards. Happy Halloween

Sorry for the not so great picture. Not sure what is up as it looks fine when I edit it and is much clearer. I have sort of taken a break from stamping and have been busy working on a few sewing projects. Nothing to exciting right now to share but maybe soon. So today I wanted to sit down and finish a card. I had stamped and colored the Happy Halloween image from the Festive and Fun Stamp Set (Holiday Mini) a while back but it just sat there so I started there. I used a base of Old Olive that I added Polka Dots to using the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Embossing folder. I distressed the paper with the Jet Black Stazon Pad. In fact everything was distress with the Jet Black Stazon Pad, the image, ribbon and Pumpkin Pie card stock layer. I used 1 1/4" Basic Black Striped Grosgrain Ribbon underneath the image to sort of anchor it. I added just a touch of bling with the Basic Black Glimmer Brad that is used to gather the ribbon. The card is a lot less layers than I would usually do but I tend to start simple when I have been away from Stampin' for a while. Maybe the creative juice will start to flow and I can get back to stamping. I think I will try stamping with the new Gently Falling Stamp Set and see what I can come up with. Christmas Box

Good afternoon, it is a beautiful day out today which makes it so much easier to take pictures of new projects. Today I have a project that I received from Stampin'UP! for having a new recruit join my team during July. My new team member also received one as did a few of my other team members who had new members join their team. So this Christmas box uses some new products that won't be available until Septemeber 1 but that is of course right around the corner so I decided to go ahead and share. The stamp set is the new Pines & Poinsettias Set and I am sure that you will be seeing more Christmas projects with it very soon and through out the season. There is also the new Holly Berry Designer Series Paper, Fabric and buttons. It maybe hard to see in the picture but there is Champagne Fine Galaxy Stampin' Glitter all over the box to add extra shimmer. It may be hard to see in the picture but the sides have Basic Pearls added around the base on the Wild Wasabi Card Stock. This is one of the more details projects that I have done recently but I really love how it turned out and can't wait to display it during Christmas. :)

New Charms for my Necklace

Good morning and Happy Monday! It was a great Thanksgiving break and lots of projects got done at my house this weekend including today's. I should have new post for the next week or so with all the crafting that I did. One of the Holiday Promotion Bundles is the Simply Adorned Gift Bundle which includes the Charming Set, Simply Adorned 1"x 1 1/4" Charm, and Simply Adorned 24" Chain. This is the size of charm that I have and I love mine. Plus this makes a great gift for someone that loves jewelry but isn't really into paper crafting. Well, my Charm was in need of a new winter/Christmas look so I decided to use the Jolly Bingo Bits. On the winter side I stamped the snowflake with Baja Breeze Classic Ink and then stamped the mittens with Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink on a scrap piece of paper and cut out. They were added to the snowflake insert with a dimensional then a Rhinestone Jewel was added to the center of the snowflake. The other side is a little more Christmasy and has the Poinsettia stamped multiple times. It was inked with the Stampin' Write Markers in Real Red, Daffodil Delight. One Poinsettia was cut out and popped up with a dimensional, to finish it off I stamped the poinsettia one more time with the Old Olive Classic Ink and cut out a few of the petals to make leaves. Fabric Fun!

Good evening, I thought I would share one of the cards we did at club tonight with you. It is a fun card with a little fabric as well as Design Series Paper. The base is Blushing Bride and we added a little detail with the Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. After adding the snow flakes the card was spritzed with the Shimmer Frost White and Alcohol homemade shimmer spritz. You can see the shimmer in the photos. We used the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Fabric to make the ruffle along the bottom of the snowflake paper from the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Paper. The fabric was cut with the Big Shot and the new Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die. It was added to the back of the Designer Series Paper with Sticky Strip. The Blushing Bride 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon was tied around the card and knotted with a square knot. The cute little snowman is from A Cute Christmas Stamp Set and he is colored with our Stampin' Write Markers in Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Real Red, Blushing Bride and Garden Green after being stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with Jet Black Stazon. We used 2 Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds to give the snow a little sparkle. The snowman was added to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals after we added the Real Red Card Stock mat. I really think our Stamp Club hostess will like it as she enjoys the fun colors. Definitely a little non traditional and perfect if you don't always get your Christmas Cards out before Christmas as this can be a Happy New Year or Happy Winter card. Well, that's it for me. Noel Christmas Card

Good morning. Well it is Monday again and time for another Christmas Card. This weekend I had a wonderful time stamping with a group of ladies while my daughter stamped with their daughters. This is one of the cards that the girls made. I cased the layout from last year's catalog and used a little nontraditional colors. The girls tend to like the brighter colors so I used Poppy Parade, Early Espresso, Garden Green and Baja Breeze. They also used Whisper White. The Poppy Parade base was ran through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to great all those wonderful polka dots. There were three punches used: the Snowflake punch, the Scallop Edge Border and the 3/16" Corner Punch. The stamp set is Big on Christmas. I have used this stamp set so many time over the last few year. It is a great set to have. Blender Pens were used to color in the image with the Classic Ink Pads and to finish off the card a little Clear Tinsel Trim that can be found in the Holiday Mini. Christmas Tree Coaster

Hello, I know that I have mentioned that Stampin'Up! is now selling Designer Series Fabric but did I mention that each package of Fabric comes with directions for five projects. Well, if I didn't they do and it does. :) Today I thought I would share on of those projects with you. This one was super quick to make and required no sewing machine. The project name is Scalloped Square Coaster, but after making it I think I am going to add some ribbon to the back and make it a Christmas Ornament. Can't you just see this hanging on a tree with other handmade ornaments. The supplies you need are all listed in the Project Guide as well as step by step instructions. I hand sewed this together with traditional thread but you can also use Linen Thread like the instructions call for. Would you like to learn how to make your own Christmas Tree Coaster? Blessings of Christmas

Hello again, I know two post in one day what is going on. Well, I had another card to share and decided why wait. This is a stamp set I almost didn't buy. I really didn't think I need another stamp set that featured Jesus, Mary and Joseph. I have two already but they have both retired and after receiving a swap with this set I quickly added it to my next order and the best part is that it is only $13.95 if you get it in the Clear Mount Option. Really why would I resist. :) Now I did do a slight modification on this set in that I cut the Christmas Blessings apart from the Main Image. I can still use them together if I want to but I can also use them apart like I did here. This card was inspired by the swap I received which was made by Teresa Giordano. I made quite a few changes but the general idea came from her card. I used Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, So Saffron and Very Vanilla for my Card Stock and the Marina Mist Classic Stamp Pad to stamp the images. I did use a few punches including the Modern Label Punch, Scallop Trim Corner Punch and the Scallop Edge Border Punch. The larger Modern Label is made with the Movers and Shapers Dies and the Big Shot. I also used the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Embossing Folder to add an extra texture to the Crumb Cake Card Stock. The Marina Mist on the side of the card was made to look like Faux Suede by separating the card stock and reveling the inside. I added the sentiment by wrapping some Linen Thread around the card. All supplies are from Stampin'Up! and can be purchased from me if you would like to make this your Christmas Card. Christmas Package Card

Good morning, now that it is getting colder (I know some of you might say it is getting cooler but for me it is officially cold. :) I have started to think about Christmas and while I was going through some pictures I came across this card from a swap that I recently participated in. I love the fun colors in the Candy Cane Designer Series Paper. Not your traditional Christmas colors but wow are they fun. I used Blushing Bride as my card base, then layered the Candy Cane DSP. I used the new Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die and the Big Shot to make the cute ric rac out of Real Red Card Stock. Then I made a Tag out of the new Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Die and Garden Green Card Stock. The cute little snowman is from the A Cute Christmas Stamp Set. He was stamped with Jet Black Stazon then colored with our Stampin' Write Markers. I used 2 way glue and added just a touch of Dazzling Diamonds along the snow for extra sparkle. Then to finish the card I used Baja Breeze Card Stock and made a snowflake using the new Northern Frost Decorative Strip and the Big Shot. I spritzed the Snowflake with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz and added a Basic Rhinestone Jewel to the center of the snowflake. Holiday Mini Tree

Good morning, I am in the mood to stamp today so this post will be quick. In the Holiday Mini on the back cover there is a tree that was decorated with different circles of card stock, glitter and accessories. Well, I was inspired to make a tree of my own and this is the result. I used the 1" Circle Punch and punched circles out of Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler and the Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper. I attached them with straight pins and then started adding bling. I added Pearls, and Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Bows as well as Chantilly Crochet Trim Bows. I covered the whole tree with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz to give it a little sparkle. It was really quite easy to make and I am thinking a whole forest of these would look quite nice as a centerpiece or mantle decoration. You could use any colors of paper to match your decor. Fang-tastic

Hello! I hope you are enjoying the Halloween projects this week. This is one of the cards that we made Friday night at Patti's workshop. It is a basic layout that I cased from a swap card I recently received. I really like the Spider Web Impressions Folder and on this card we accented it with the Frost White Shimmer Paint. I used a sponge dauber to apply the Shimmer Paint. The Designer Series Paper is Nite Owl and is in the Holiday Mini. The cute little Vampire is from the Fang-tastic Stamp Set and is available in Clear Mount or Wood Mount. We used Jet Black Stazon, then colored the vampire and bat in with the Blender Pen and Stampin' Write Markers in Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Basic Black, and Basic Gray. I layer of Cajun Craze adds a little more color behind the main image. We used the new Black Waffle Paper and the Decorative Label Punch to accent the sentiment that was punched out with the 1 3/4x 7/8" Oval Punch. To punch out the Waffle Paper you first need to add some support so just SNAIL it to a piece of card stock then punch out. I used Basic Black to match the Waffle Paper. You can also use it to add a ruffle to your cards, I will share one of those another day. Well, I am off busy day with lots going on at our house. Wicked Halloween

Everytime I see this stamp set I think of Wicked the wonderful Broadway Musical that my daughter and I had the opportunity to see last winter while in New York. I loved it and I am falling in love with this stamp set. I didn't think I needed it but now that I have it I am seeing so many possiblities.This is one of the cards that I made thinking I would use for Patti's workshop but I ended up modifying it just a little bit. I used several new items on this card and I love the combo of colors. I used Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Rich Razzleberry Card Stock which are also in the Wicked Fun Specialty Designer Series Paper. The Rich Razzleberry Card Stock was texturized with the Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and then I used the Distressing Kit to add some highlights to the web. There are webs stamped across the top of the Old Olive Card Stock. The rest of the images were stamped with Jet Black Stazon. This is my go to Black ink for watercoloring and so much more. I used the Cajun Craze and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Markers to add some color after stamping the images. I used several punches including the new 3/4" x 15/16" Oval Punch, the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch and the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I little Raven 1/2" Lace Trim that makes me think of a black petticoat that the witch might wear and this card is finished. I have several more projects to share with you and hopefully will have some time tomorrow to type up another post. We had Stamp Club tonight and I have those projects to share as well. Halloween Door Prize

Hello, I had a great time Friday night at Patti's workshop and I hope the ladies did too! We made three projects including two Halloween Cards and a Treat Container. For the door prize I decided to keep it Halloween in theme and since I had not used the new Spooky Things Decor Elements I decided to use them and the Wicked Fun Specialty Designer Series Paper. I had a black 5x7" Frame in my stash of items to alter and I was ready to go. I cut the Old Olive with Basic Black PolkaDots to fit the 5x7 frame and added a Oval that was cut with the Frame, Oval Scallop Big Shot Die out of Tangerine Tango Card Stock texturized with the Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used the Distressing Kit and added some accent to the Spider Web. I also added a strip of Basic Black Card Stock that was punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. To the outside of the glass I added the Oct 31 and them punched out four bats out of Basic Black Card Stock with the Bitty Bat Punch. I added Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz to the bats to add a little shimmer and attached them with Mini Glue Dots. I still have plenty of Decor Elements Pieces left and am looking for projects to use them on, so be sure and check back again to see what I make next. Christmas Time!

Wow I have no idea where yesterday went. Well, I do but I didn't find enough time to get back and post a card for you like I had planned. Sorry about that. I do have one for you today. I recently participated in a Holiday Mini Swap and since I received my cards yesterday I am going to post one of the cards that I sent for the swap today. One of the requirements was to use a new stamp set from the Holiday Mini and if possible other items well, let me tell you I went Holiday Mini crazy on this card. I used six of the new items on this one card. I just couldn't resist playing with the new items and guess what I love them all! There are so many must haves in the new mini that I would recommend you book a party for you and your friends so that you can earn them free. Now to tell you about the card. The stamp set is A Cute Christmas and I just love the little snowman. I colored him with the Stampin' Write Markers after stamping him with Jet Black Stazon. The marker colors are Real Red, Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, and Garden Green which are also the colors in the new Candy Cane Lane Specialty Designer Series Paper which I also used on the card. If you look the Real Red stripe is glittery, that is already in the paper. It is also one of the fabric prints but I will save that for another day. I added a little Dazzling Diamonds to the snow with 2 way Glue. The base is Blushing Bride and I use the new Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in it to add the snowflakes. The large Real Red Scallops were made with the new Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die and Real Red Card Stock and the final touch is the snowflakes made with Baja Breeze Card Stock and the new Northern Frost Decorative Strip. I did use the Shimmer Smooch on the cards I swapped but didn't think about it until after I assembled this one. I added a Rhinestone Jewel in the center of the upper snowflake and the sentiment in the lower. The sentiment was punched out with the new 3/4"x15/16" Oval Punch. There is a lot more new things in the Holiday Mini and I will share more with you as the month progresses but be sure and take a look yourself and let me know what item you like the best. Christmas Sneak Peak

Hello! Today's post is a sneak peak from the upcoming Holiday Mini! I am super excited about it and the new products that are available, including fabric, yep fabric that matches with our Designer Series Paper. How GREAT is that!!! I hope it is a trend of more to come but if not I will enjoy the fabric for the next four months. No fabric on today's card but it does use a new set A Cute Christmas. This is a simple 4 1/4" square card. I used Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake Card Stock. The image was stamped with Basic Gray Classic Ink and then watercolored with So Saffron, Early Espresso, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Markers and the AquaPainter. To finish off the card I used the 1/8" Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon and a Cherry Cobbler Button. Cute and simple and most of all easy to make a lot off if you have a long Christmas Card List. This card would be perfect to do at a workshop and you could even earn this set free with your hostess benefits. Contact me to schedule stamping time with your friends.
