Baby Shower Invites

Good afternoon! First let me remind you that there is only a day left to order from the current Catalog. If there is something that you would like to order and you haven't done so please head over to my website and place your online order or give me a call so I can place your order for you. I don't want you to miss out.
Today's project is a Baby Shower Invite that I recently did for a friend. Her sister is expecting her first baby and she wanted invites for a boy. She send me a picture of some things that fit the theme and I got busy making a sample that included blues, greens, brown and turtles. After she approved the first one I just had to get the rest made. I am happy to report they are done and ready for my friend to send out. The supplies include: Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, and Old Olive Card Stock. The Fox and Friends Stamp Set, a couple of retired sets, the new Pennant Punch and the Word Window Punch, Old Olive and Soft Suede Stampin' Write Markers and the Bashful Blue, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, and Old Olive Classic Ink Pads. I added a turtle to the front of each envelope also just to add interest. If you would like help making your event special with handmade invites or party favors please let me know. I would love the opportunity to help make your event special. :)
We have another evening of baseball so I had better run. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day, Tonya

New Digital Downloads and A Sneak Peak

Today is Tuesday so it is once again time for new Digital Downloads for My Digital Studio. I need to get busy and make a new header for my blog and start scrapbooking all the pictures I have been taking at baseball games and during our summer activities. Hmm, when to find the time in the day to do that. ;) If you would like to check out today's downloads then be sure and head over here. If you have any questions about how to purchase the downloads or how you can get started with My Digital Studio then please don't hesitate to ask. I am always happy to help.

Next I have a sneak peak and a few retiring products all on one card. The card includes one of the new 2011 In Colors and a new punch. Then color is Wisteria Wonder and the punch is the Lace Ribbon Border Punch and it punches out a strip. You can see just a portion of the punch on this card because I layered the soon to be retired Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon over it but I think you can get an idea of just how big this punch it and how pretty it is too. The Stamp Set is one of my favorites and I will be so said to see it retire but as a hostess set it was of course only meant to be in the catalog for a year. I stamped the hydrangea on Whisper White Card Stock and watercolored with the Pear Pizzazz, Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant Classic Ink Pads and the Aquapainter. I layered the image on Basic Black Card Stock which I think makes the card look quite elegant. To add just a touch of texture I used the Big Shot and the Perfect Details Texturz Plate. I sponged the raised embossed areas just a bit with the Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink Pad and a sponge to show the details even more. If you wanted to add a little more detail you could use 2 Way glue and add some Dazzling Diamonds but for now the card is finished.

So what do you think of the new Wisteria Wonder? I am excited to have it added to our collection of colors. We need a new purple color and this one fits nicely. I haven't used the new colors much but have plans to this week so be sure and watch for more info and sneak peaks. Well, I guess they are only sneak peak for a few more days because on July 1st the new catalog goes live and everyone can start ordering from it. :) Still need a catalog just let me know. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

No Sew Hair Bow!

Good afternoon! I hope you are all well and dry after the storms that moved through last night. We fared better than some I know and hopefully it will stay dry for a while to help with all the flooding we are experiencing.

Today's post is a cute hair clip that I made using the soon to be retiring Table Setting Bigz XL Die which is 40% off until Thursday. I simple cut a piece of fabric and a piece of batting then swirled them and hot glued the end to hold it in place then I hot glued it to a hair clip and it is ready for that special girl to wear. It isn't to big of a clip but still a nice size to get wear in the front and hold back the side of your hair. I think it would look really cute with a trio of these on a clip or pin. You can also use this die for making place cards for a shower, wedding or just a more formal dinner. It also includes a tag which we used on this card. It really is a versatile die that I have enjoyed using. If you would like to order your own Table Setting Die don't wait Thursday is almost here. ;) Well, I have some design work to do so I had better get busy. We have two baseball games tonight so I only have this afternoon to work. Thanks for stopping by and as always let me know if I can assist you with any of your Stampin'Up! questions or needs. Tonya

Sew Saturday

Good morning, it's finally the weekend but with the storms that are moving through our area right now we could see a change of plans for our weekend activities. Maybe I will get some stamping or sewing time in this weekend. Today I thought I would share with you a book bag I made last month for one of the teacher's at our school. This one was for 3rd grade. Each of my boys got to pick out the fabric they thought their teacher would like and then I used the Big Shot and the Clear Scallop Square Die to cut out the bag pieces before I sewed it all together. These bags come together pretty easy even for beginners and are great to have for books, sports and even an everyday purse. Give me a call if you would like more info on how to make the Scallop Square Purse. I would be more than happy to help you. Have a great weekend and Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Dad's Tee Time

Good Afternoon! Well, I am attempting to stamp today and unfortunately a summer colds seems to have zapped my mojo. So I thought I would take a break and share with you a card that my daughter did for her dad for Father's day. Now really this card will work for any golf lover in your family for a birthday or Father's day. The card has several steps and the tee is hand cut so to make your own you will need to sketch out a tee. The way we did it was make one side trace it on the Real Red Card Stock then flip the template and trace the other side of the Real Red Card Stock so both sides matched. The golf ball is made with the 3 1/2" Circle Big Shot Die and she cut out one from Whisper White Card Stock then folded a sheet of card stock in half and placed the folder below the top of the die and cut out a partial circle that opened at the top. Kaylee texturized the circle with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder then sponged the edge with Crumb Cake to add a shadow. The tee was placed behind the complete circle then the folded card was added behind that to make a complete card. The Happy Father's Day is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and was stamped with Early Espresso Classic Ink on Whisper white Card Stock before it was punched out with the Word Window Punch and layered on top of a Early Espresso Modern Label Punch.
Just a quick reminder that there is only a week left to purchase items from the Retiring List. Please give me a call if you would like to place an order. Also I received another box of catalogs today and they are ready for delivery or pick up. Contact me if you would like to receive one. Well, I am off to try and stamp again. Wish me luck! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend, Tonya

Lucky You!

Good morning! I once again and playing with some of the retiring stamp sets and while looking through them thought that Tart and Tangy would be great to make a slot machine inspired card. Just realized that my card is slanted in the picture sorry about that. The base is Real Red and I used Basic Black and Whisper White Card Stock on the card. The Cherries are inked with the Real Red and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers. I inked the sentiment which is from the Afterthought Hostess Set with the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker omitting the bottom portion. The card front needed something else so it received a little texture thanks to the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. While I am talking about the Big Shot how would you like to earn one for half price? Call me and I will tell you how I can help you make that happen. It is easier than you might think. ;) Well, I am going to make this a quick post, lots to do again today and the morning in slipping away, kind of like time is slipping away to order these stamp sets. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Tonya

Father's Day

Good afternoon! I hope you had a great weekend! We did but it was a busy one, most weeks seem to be that way. The card I am sharing today was one of the Father's Day Cards we made for this weekend. It includes the Country Side Stamp Set and the retiring All Holiday's Stamp Set. The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Basic Black with some watercolor paper for the main image. I used both watercolor crayons and ink pads to color the images. I used the Square Lattice Impressions Embossing Texture Folder to add interest to the

main card. The inside of the card is also decorated and since the Happy Father's Day is one image I inked it with Stampin' Write Markers and then cut it apart before adding it to the card.
Today is the first day that we can hand out the new 2011-2012 Stampin'Up Catalog. If you would like to receive a copy and have not already contact me please do so. I am down to my last box of catalogs and will be reordering soon and want to make sure I have enough. Remember if you are a Club member your catalog will be spiral bound. I have added them to the current club orders that have not been picked up. Also if you host a workshop in July you will also be receiving a spiral bound copy when we have your workshop. Give me a call to schedule yours.
Well, laundry is calling my name so I had better run. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Noel Christmas

Good morning! I know you are probably thinking what's up with the Christmas card in June? Well, the Big on Christmas Stamp set has been one of my favorite sets to use for Christmas for a couple of years now and it is retiring at the end of this month so I wanted to pull it out one more time and create a card for you. The base of the card is Pear Pizzazz and I used Real Red and Whisper White also. The designer series paper is from Play Date. To make my main image I inked the Stamp with the Old Olive, Real Red, Basic Black and Bashful Blue Stampin' Write Markers. I then used an Aquapainter to blend the marker into the image and color it. While this takes a little while to ink up the image with the marker it really is worth the time as it gives your card a different unique look. The Real Red Card Stock layer was punched along the bottom with the Scallop Trim Border Punch then I added White Bakers Twine around the Real Red and tied a knot. The base of the card needed something so I added the snowflakes with the help of the Big Shot and the Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing folder. The snowflakes were sponged with Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink to make them pop and Basic Rhinestones were added to the centers.
While I have you thinking about Christmas I am going to start a five month series of classes just for Christmas Cards. The first class will be next month and will feature 4 card designs. This class will give you a chance to get a jump on your Christmas cards and not feel rushed in Novemeber. More details will follow. Well, it is a busy weekend at our house so I need to get started. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

We like to move it!

Good morning! What a busy week we have had at our house. Between summer running, Boy Scout Camp and baseball, I feel like it has been forever since I stamped. I hope to put the rubber to the ink today but we have an evening activity again tonight so we will see how much time I find in the day. ;-) Today's card is another Neverending Card that my Daughter made for a friends birthday. The birthday party was last month but I forgot to share the card with you. The base is Tempting Turquoise and it there is Play Date Designer Series Paper through out the card. The other colors she used were all pulled from the Designer Series Paper and include Whisper White, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Old Olive. She used a couple of stamp sets including Teeny Tiny Wishes, Circle Circus, and Flight of the Butterfly. There are quite a few punches used including the Butterfly Punch, Word Window and Modern Label Punches. If you have any questions about the card please let me know. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Club orders will be arriving today and Monday I can start giving out the new Catalog to those of you that have contact me. I still have copies available and will be ordering another case soon so please let me know if you will be needing a catalog. As always thank you for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya
