Dad's Tee Time

Good Afternoon! Well, I am attempting to stamp today and unfortunately a summer colds seems to have zapped my mojo. So I thought I would take a break and share with you a card that my daughter did for her dad for Father's day. Now really this card will work for any golf lover in your family for a birthday or Father's day. The card has several steps and the tee is hand cut so to make your own you will need to sketch out a tee. The way we did it was make one side trace it on the Real Red Card Stock then flip the template and trace the other side of the Real Red Card Stock so both sides matched. The golf ball is made with the 3 1/2" Circle Big Shot Die and she cut out one from Whisper White Card Stock then folded a sheet of card stock in half and placed the folder below the top of the die and cut out a partial circle that opened at the top. Kaylee texturized the circle with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder then sponged the edge with Crumb Cake to add a shadow. The tee was placed behind the complete circle then the folded card was added behind that to make a complete card. The Happy Father's Day is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and was stamped with Early Espresso Classic Ink on Whisper white Card Stock before it was punched out with the Word Window Punch and layered on top of a Early Espresso Modern Label Punch.
Just a quick reminder that there is only a week left to purchase items from the Retiring List. Please give me a call if you would like to place an order. Also I received another box of catalogs today and they are ready for delivery or pick up. Contact me if you would like to receive one. Well, I am off to try and stamp again. Wish me luck! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend, Tonya

Father's Day

Good afternoon! I hope you had a great weekend! We did but it was a busy one, most weeks seem to be that way. The card I am sharing today was one of the Father's Day Cards we made for this weekend. It includes the Country Side Stamp Set and the retiring All Holiday's Stamp Set. The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Basic Black with some watercolor paper for the main image. I used both watercolor crayons and ink pads to color the images. I used the Square Lattice Impressions Embossing Texture Folder to add interest to the

main card. The inside of the card is also decorated and since the Happy Father's Day is one image I inked it with Stampin' Write Markers and then cut it apart before adding it to the card.
Today is the first day that we can hand out the new 2011-2012 Stampin'Up Catalog. If you would like to receive a copy and have not already contact me please do so. I am down to my last box of catalogs and will be reordering soon and want to make sure I have enough. Remember if you are a Club member your catalog will be spiral bound. I have added them to the current club orders that have not been picked up. Also if you host a workshop in July you will also be receiving a spiral bound copy when we have your workshop. Give me a call to schedule yours.
Well, laundry is calling my name so I had better run. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

# 1 Dad!

Good morning, What a beautiful day it is starting out to be. The sun is shining and I have a card ready to go before 9am. I wondered with the kids out of school if I would find as much time to stamp and post but so far it is working out well. I always have some one to bounce ideas off of with four kids in the house and they are all willing to give me their opinion. ;) Today's card has Dad in mind. If you have a dad that likes sports then this is a perfect Father's Day Card for him. My husband isn't really a basketball fan but I am working on another card with him in mind. Once again I pulled out some retiring items and went to work on the card. The base is Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and I used the Pumpkin Pie Classic Stamp Pad to drag ink across the card giving it a worn leather look. Makes me think of a well loved basketball. Next I stamped my image on Very Vanilla Card Stock. The stamp set is Just Basketball and I used the Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker, Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker and the Going Gray Stampin' Write Marker to ink up the image. This was layered with Ballet Blue Card Stock. The #1 is from the All Sports Stamp Set and was stamped with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad and then punched out with the 1" Circle Punch and layered with a 1 1/4" Circle Punch of Basic Gray Card Stock. To finish up the card I used Twill Tape that I frayed out the ends and added it to the card. I thought it added to the card without being to much. The inside with say DAD and the card is ready to give to your favorite dad. Just a quick reminder that that the bold items are retiring. If you have any questions about this project or any of my projects please let me know. I am always happy to help. Thanks and I hope you stop by again. Have a great day, Tonya

My Kids' Father's Day Card

Happy Monday Morning! I hope that you all had a great weekend. Today is supposed to be super hot, what a great day to stay inside and stamp. At least that is my plan for today well part of it if you don't include the cleaning, laundry and trying to keep the kids quiet while DH tries to sleep after working all night last night.
Today's card to brought to you by my DD. This is the card she made for her dad for Father's Day yesterday. The layout is similar to the one we did at club this month but she didn't use ribbon or stamp a background. She instead used the Designer Series Pattern Paper. Funny thing about the pattern she picked after she was making the card we realized that DH has a shirt in almost the same color and print as the background. I guess that is why she thought is looked like her dad. I will add the product recipe at the end of the post since it is a pretty straight forward card. The remote does use the Retiring and Out of Stock Key Tag Punch but you could easily substitute a rectangle with the corners rounded.
There are only nine days left to get this set or any of the sets in the Occasions Mini or on the Last Chance List. I can't believe how fast the month has gone by but it does bring us closer to the new Catalog. I have not received my cases of catalogs yet but will post about it when I do. If you have not contacted my about joining my Stamp Club or about wanting to receive a new catalog then please leave me a post or email me at todaball@wmconnect.com I will be sure and put your catalog aside for you when they arrive. I am updating the Last Chance List daily as Stampin'Up! lets us know what has sold out so be sure and take a look. There are still some great items available. Well, I am off to create! Hope you have a great day and try and stay out of the heat. As always thanks for stopping by, Tonya

New Stamp Sets!

Hello to all! Yesterday I received four new stamp sets FREE! Yes, I am shouting and I want to thank all my wonderful customers and downline for making it possible. You see Stampin'Up! rewards its demonstrators for our sales and recruiting during Sale-A-Bration with free stamp sets. I got to pick four this year. They could be from the sneak peaks we have received for the new catalog or they could be from the Mini and Current Catalog. I debated and debated which ones to get (it seems like Free rubbah is harder to pick than anything else) and finally picked Branch Out (113200) and Wonderful Favorites (115114) as two of my sets. Well if there is a uninked stamp set in my house it must meet ink soon. I just can't help but play with a new set, they seem to inspire me! I waited until the kids were in bed to start my card (I mounted all the stamp sets to their blocks as soon as I opened the box, I am just funny that way) and the idea came to me pretty quickly. Now I must say that the card isn't all that complicated by I like it. I started with a piece of Whisper White Card Stock (100730) that I cut out with the Stampin'Up! Top Note Bigz Die (113463) and the Big Shot (113439). Now both of these are also available in the Big Shot Starter Kit (116314) which will not be available in the new catalog. If you would like to order the Big Shot Starter Kit contact me today so we can place your order. After I had the top note cut out I proceed to take a tip from my DD's card yesterday and I sponged a sky and grass using Bashful Blue Classic Ink (105209) and Mellow Moss Classic Ink (102774). I left a little bit of white between the two sponge lines to give a horizon line. I then was ready to stamp my tree. This is such a fun stamp set and I can't wait to try some more cards with it. First I inked up the tree with three Stampin' Write Markers, Always Artichoke (105113), Close to Cocoa (100072) and Chocolate Chip (100071). I stamped the tree in the center of the top note. Next comes the leaves. They are stamped with Mellow Moss Classic Ink (102774) and Always Artichoke (105219). The tire swing was inked up with the Chocolate Chip (100071) and Basic Black (100082) Stampin' Write Markers then using the Stamp-a-ma-jig I lined it up with the tree limb that I wanted it to hang from. The Wonderful Grandfather is from the Wonderful Favorites Stamp Set and were stamped on Whisper White Card Stock. They were inked with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink (100908). The Wonderful was then trimmed down to the size I wanted and the corners were rounded with Stampin'Up!'s 3/16" Corner Rounder (109047). The grandfather is actually two stamps and I lined them up with the Stamp-a-ma-jig to say what I wanted. I love that this set is so versatile. You can send a card to anyone with all the choices it offers. I punched out the grandfather with the Word Window Punch (105090) and mounted it on the new punch that is available in July. The Vintage Brads were still out from my last Father's Day Card so I used two of those on the sides of the Grandfather sentiment. I decided the base of the card needed something so I ran the Close to Cocoa Card Stock (101341) through the Big Shot with the Distressed Texturz Plate from the Texture Plates Kit #4 (114531). I then used a technique called direct to paper and using Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip Classic Ink Pad I dragged the pads across the textured card front. This caused the raised image to pick up some of the ink and I think it gave the card I tree bark appearance which adds to that manly card look. I then just mounted all my pieces to the card using Tombow (110755) or Dimensionals (104430).
I hope that you enjoyed today's card. Remember that all the items to make this and all my cards are available to purchase through my Stampin'Up! Website. Hope you have a great day and thank you for stopping by, Tonya
