SSINKspiration Card Sketch

Hello and welcome to our Monthly Card Sketch. I love using Card Sketches they are  a great starting point for a card when you are struggling for an idea or just to help INKspire you. For today's card I pulled out a new paper pack from the Occasions Catalog and started with that. I love the new pack and will be using it a lot in the upcoming weeks so be prepared. Supplies are Real Red Card Stock and Ink, Coastal Cabana Card Stock, Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack, Geometrical Stamp Set, Labels Collection Framelits, and 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon. The ribbon was cut and I pulled threads from it to wrap around the card and tie into the bow. I hope you head over the the SSINKspiration blog and see the other great cards that the design team made. I am so glad you stopped by today. This is what I refer to as Birthday week at our house. Today just happens to be my oldest son's 16th Birthday and Saturday is my youngest son's 10th Birthday. So since we have so many Birthdays I thought a Birthday card and a cake topper using some of the new Occasions Products would be perfect to share with you. The topper is made with the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper and the banners are cut with the new Banners Framelits Dies. I used Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Basic Gray Card Stock also and added texture with the Big Shot and various embossing Folders. The Happy Birthday, bring on the cake are from the Bring on the Cake Stamp Set and were stamped on Whisper White Card Stock then punched out with the Wide Oval Punch and cut out with a Banner Framelit. I used the Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine that comes in Tag a Bag Accessory Kit. I will be adding this to the Birthday Cake for tonight. I will be sure and get a picture with it on the cake. 

For the card which is also for tonight I used the same colors but added a couple of new stamp sets. The arrows are from the Geometrical Stamp Set and were hand cut out. The Make a Wish is from the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set and was inked up with the Stampin' Write Markers before I cut it out with the Banner Framelits. I used the new Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the Bermuda Bay Card Stock and once again I used Baker's Twine from the Tag A Bag Accessory Kit. I think it will be perfect for our Birthday Boy.

SSINKspiration Color Challenge

Hello and welcome to our Color Challenge Monday. I love this color combo but I must admit it would not have been one I would have put together myself. The colors are listed above and we would love to have you play along with us at SSINKspiration. It is easy to add a card and be part of the fun. I used the Bring on the Cake Stamp Set and used Black Embossing Powder to really make the Happy Birthday pop. All of the Watercolor papers in the Occasions Catalog got me to thinking about using the Clear Blocks so I inked them up and stamped them on the Whisper White paper before I embossed. Then to add just a bit more pop I added a butterfly in each color with Basic Rhinestones for their bodies. Simple yet pretty and easy to make an assortment in different colors if you need a lot of cards. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day! Tonya

Framelit Friday Design Team

Hello and welcome to my blog. If you are stopping by and want to see the other great cards by our Design Team then please head over to the SSINKspiration blog and check them out. Today's card is for a very special lady my Grandma. She has a birthday on Saturday and I will be send this card with my Mom to give to her as I will be working on Saturday. I used the new Banner Framelits which are in the Occasion Catalog. I love Banners and this is the first item that I had to purchase. The colors are Pink Pirouette, Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, and Primrose Petal (watch for Monday's Color Challenge for more of this color). Gold is really big this year and I wanted a touch of it on my card so I embossed the Positively Chevron Stamp on Vellum with Gold Embossing Powder then cut it out. I used Primrose Coredination Paper and after cutting it I used a sanding block and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and lightly sanded the paper. I used the Bring on the Cake Stamp Set and used the Large Oval Punch to create the sentiment. I added a Doily, a Flower made with the Simply Pressed Clay and the Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Mold. The Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock was embossed with the Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder just to add a bit more detail. I hope Grandma enjoys her special day and that you enjoyed the card. Sparkle and Glitter

Hello and welcome I hope to do better with posting this month than last and with this being the first of the month I am off to a good start. Today the SSINKspiration Design Team is bringing you cards with Glitter. The timing is perfect since the Silver Glimmer Paper that I used on this card is on sale right now. I also used embossing powder to make this card really sparkle and shine. The two stamp sets are Really Good Greetings and Hearts a Flutter which has a coordinating Framelits Dies also called Hearts a Flutter. The colors are Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and Whisper White. For the sentiment I used a combo of Melon Mambo Embossing Powder and Dazzling Diamonds which was Heat Embossed. The pennants are made with Heat and Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds which give them a little bit of sparkle too. The Melon Mambo heart is stamped with the Illuminate Pad and even it shimmers a bit. To finish off the sparkle I added a bit of bling with the Basic Rhinestone on the corner of each pennant.  I hope you have a wonderful New Year and that you stop by again. Thanks Tonya

Tags, Tags and More Tags

Hello and welcome. Today the Design Team is sharing tags over at SSINKspiration and I thought I would share a few with you that we did at a recent class. I used the Stamp a Tag Kit as a starting point but then moved on from there by adding some Washi Tape, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack, Crumb Cake Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock and punches. I wanted to show the tags from the basic and stepped up. Some ideas have been cased but I can't remember which sites. If one is yours please let me know and I will be happy to link your blog. Each person bought the kit and then made two of each tag. Now I have tags ready for the gifts which I really haven't started buy yet.
