Blog Hop July Style

Hello and welcome to another round of Blog Hop. If you are joining me from Rose's Blog thank you for stopping by and if this is your first stop then just follow click on the next button at the bottom of this post and it will take you on your way to Dawn's Blog. I can't wait to see what everyone has made today. I made three projects for today one with the help of my daughter. I love to get to stamp and create with her. The first is our cupcake topper which will look cute of the cupcakes we finished yesterday. We started with a sucker stick and then embellished it with the Petite Pennant Punch, Baja Breeze Seam Binding, the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and Bitty Banners Framelits, Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Fancy Fan Folder, perfect Polka Dots Folder, Rhinestones, Baja Breeze and Primrose Petals Stampin Write Markers, Patio Party Designer Series Paper, Summer Starfruit Card Stock, Baja Breeze Card Stock, Midnight Muse Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock and Primrose Petals Card Stock.
Our second project continues with the Birthday/ Cupcake theme and is a mini card that will be perfect for a gift. The card is made using the Petal Cone Die. I cute the base of the card out with Whisper White Card Stock and then added all the extras. The Designer Series Paper is Patio Party and the icing on the cupcake is Primrose Petals Card Stock that has had texture added with the new Fancy Fan Folder, 2 Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds. To make the cupcake liner look more realistic I first punched the top with the Scallop Punch then scored it with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and folded it accordion style an added it to my base with Sticky Strip. I stamped with Itty Bitty Banners Sentiment with Midnight Muse on Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with the Bitty Banners Framelits.  Now on to our final project which is a great card for a guy or for the 4th of July.

With no star punch currently available I wanted to make one with what Stampin'Up! does offer so my star is made using the Petite Pennants Punch, Cherry Cobbler Card Stock and Crumb Cake Designer Series Paper. Just punch out five and attach them at the corners for a star. The sentiment which is inked with Midnight Muse and Cherry Cobbler Stampin Write Markers is from the Word Play Stamp Set and was punched out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I wanted a rustic look for this card so I used the direct to paper technique on the Midnight Muse Card Stock with the Craft Whisper White Stamp Pad and added the drag marks before I did some paper piercing on the top right hand corner. I added just a bit of Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine before adding the Crumb Cake base and this card is ready to send to a special Birthday guy in my life. Well, thanks again for stopping by and please be sure and leave us a message and let us know you were here. Have a great day, Tonya
