Hello and welcome to our February Blog Hop! I am so excited as this month we are featuring Sale-a-bration and Valentine's Day. Fun! Fun! Did you just get here from Rose's Blog or is this your first stop? Well, don't worry as the Blog Hop should circle you through all of our blogs. My first project features several of the Sale-a-bration options for this year. When the Sale-a-bration brochure was released I just knew I would have to get the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set and I love the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper and the color combo is fantastic. Add the Everyday Enchantments Ribbon & Brad Pack and you have a wonderful grouping that you can make so many wonderful cards with. Each of these three items can be earned with a $50 merchandise order or you can earn all three free just for hosting a workshop of $400 or more. Sale-a-bration is a wonderful time!

Now let me give you the other supplies. The base is Soft Suede Card Stock that has been texturized with the Elegant Wallpaper Impressions Folder. The image was inked with the Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Peach Parfait, Calypso Carol, and Poppy Parade Stampin' Write Markers and was stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock. The Very Vanilla is layered on Pool Party Card Stock before the Calypso Coral Ribbon is added and the Everyday Enchantment Brad. I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch to make a Very Vanilla piece to go above the Designer Series Paper and to finish off the card I added butterflies made with Poppy Parade Card Stock and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die. I love that the Embosslits Dies cut and emboss in one easy step. For my second project I wanted to do a Valentine's Idea and since I am always looking for a fun treat for my kids to give their class mates I decided to make that my focus. I really enjoy punch art and my boys do too. I used the Matchbox Bigs XL Die to make the boxes and will add candy to them when we decided what kind. I used Real Red and Pretty In Pink Card Stock and Patterns Designer Series Paper. I used My Digital Studio to print the sentiments so that I could have multiple ones for making lots of boxes. I can customize the color and size so easily with My Digital Studio. The sentiments are punched out with the Modern Label Punch and the Word Window Punch. For the punch art I used the following colors of card stock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight, and Pretty In Pink. I used the following punchs: Boho Blossoms, Heart to Heart, Small Heart, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, 1/2" Circle, Large Oval, Extra Large Oval, 1 3/4" Circle Punch and Owl Builder Punch. I did add just a few Basic Rhinestone Jewels to the Penquin and the Owl for a little extra bling. My younger two boys really liked these and will be making some for all their class mates. I hope they are a hit with their class mates too!

Crazy Cupcakes or Week?

Hello! I can't decide if it is a crazy week or just a Crazy for Cupcakes Birthday Card. It has been a crazy week, it is Spirit Week at my daughter's high school so that has meant dressing up in theme every day. Monday was the 80's, Tuesday was Multiplicity Day (dress like twins, triplets etc), Wednesday was dress up day but today was the hardest. Today was dress like your favorite Character from a Movie, book or show. We struggled with this one and finally she ended up with a poodle skirt and it Sandra Dee from Grease. I even forgot to take pics of today's outfit. Tomorrow is easy it is Blue/White Day for our Team colors but between that and our usual busy schedule I am one tired mom. So since I know you didn't come here to hear about my week I do have a card for you and several more to share over the next few days. Today's uses the Crazy for Cupcakes Stamp Set. I have had this set for a while but it is one of my favorite for Birthday cards. The colors are pulled from the new Twitterpated Designer Series Paper. The base is Riding Hood Red with Basic Gray, Whisper White, and Pear Pizzazz Card Stock used. Ink colors are Basic Gray, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Riding Hood Red Classic Ink Pads. To make the cupcakes even more fun I added 2 way glue and Dazzling Diamonds on the icing after the cupcakes were colored with a Blender Pen. The cute little hearts along the bottom of the card were added with the new Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders which are in the new Occasions Mini. Razzleberry Birthday!

Good evening! Hope you had a wonderful Monday! I wanted to share another one of the cards we did at last Wednesday's Birthday Card Class. This one uses one of my older stamp sets, Upsy Daisy. This set is a wood mount set and has seen a lot of use. I started with a base of Baja Breeze Card Stock and added accents in Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo and Early Espresso. The image is stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock. We used the First Edition Specialty Paper and the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper. The accessories are Mini Library Clips and Metallic Brads. The card really is quite simple and the layout is cased from page 116 in the Idea Book and Catalog. Going to keep this short tonight as I have a table to get set up for tomorrow nights Sale-a-bration Open House. Good morning! It is cold out today, wow I really dislike winter so this card gives me hope that I will see spring and the pretty flowers again. I know that it is a ways off and we still have lots of cold days ahead but I can dream right? The Occasions Mini is such a wonderful one and the Apothecary Art Stamp Set is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It is such a fun set to watercolor and with the Coordinating Labels Collection Framelits cutting out your stamped images is a snap. This card using Crumb Cake for the base, with Whisper White, Soft Suede and Pink Pirouette for accents. The image is stamped with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad before we colored it with a blender pen with Pink Pirouette, Bashful Blue and Marina Mist. There are Pearls added to the sentiment and we used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch along both sides of the Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper. Manly Birthday Card

Hello, it is Thursday and another busy week at our house. I am going to share with you a birthday card from last week and also one from the Birthday Card Class that is this week. This card is a little more manly than some of the others. I used two stamp sets Bring on the Cake and Build a Blossom. The colors are So Saffron, Poppy Parade (off stamped) and Night of Navy. The base of the card is Crumb Cake and the Designer Series Paper is from the Pocketfull of Posies Collection and the Regals Designer Series Pack. I used a three mini brads on the upper right side of the main Designer Series Paper but a little extra something but other than that the card is pretty easy to make. Valentine's Hearts

Hello and Good morning, I am going to try and get a post done every day for the rest of the week. Today's card is one that we did last week at club. We used some of the new Occasions Mini items and made this sweet little Valentine's Day Card. The colors are Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso, Whisper White and Baja Breeze. The hearts are cut with the new Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die and the Baja Breeze piece of card stock has hearts added with the new Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. The new Embossing folders are only 1" wide and can be added anywhere your card. I added some Early Espresso Baker's Twine around the card and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and has been stamped with Early Espresso Classic Ink on Whisper White then punched out with the Decorative Label Punch. Tomorrow I will have another new card using more of the new Occasions Mini items. If you haven't taken a look at it yet, don't wait it is a great mini. Angry Birds Birthday Card

Hello and thanks for stopping by, I have lots to share with you since I have been stamping up a storm and had two birthdays last week. The card I have for you tonight is from my youngest son's birthday party. He loves Angry Birds and when I saw this tutorial I knew I had to make him an Angry Birds card. I made some size modifications and added a white bird but the idea is very much the same. I decided to base my layout on a tshirt that Jaxon received for Christmas. I used Basic Gray and then added the Happy Birthday from the Bring on the Cake Stamp Set. I colored in the Birthday with the Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Markers. If you would like to know what punches and colors I used leave me a comment and I will make a list, but for know lets just say there were a lot of punches out on my table while I was making this card. Occasions Mini and Thank You Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our Occasions Mini and Thank Yous Blog Hop. I have two projects to share with you today both that use some of the new products available in the new Occasions Mini. If you haven't taken a look at it yet, WOW! It is amazing and has so many wonderful new products but lets get onto the projects for today.
The first is a Gratitude Journal that I made for my daughter to write in through the upcoming year. I thought the new Apothecary Art Stamp Set with the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper was just what her journal needed. I added Basic Gray Satin Ribbon and made her a coordinating ink pen. I also used the new Edgelits Dies to add the curved portion next to the ribbon. I had to cut it three times along the Designer Series Paper to get the piece long enough but with a little patience it worked well. The Apothecary Art Set has a coordinating Framelits Label Collection Die that has 6 different sizes. I used two different sizes on this journal.

My next project is a card I made for my Grandma's Birthday that was yesterday. I used a lot of the same items as the journal but a few are different. I started with a base of Island Indigo and cut the bottom edge with the Edgelits Die, then added the textured line with the coordinating Texturedd Impressions Embossing Folder. I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Twitterpated Collection and added it behind the front to extend the card front even with the back. Then I started to decorate. I used the Apothcary Art Stamp Set again only this time I used the largest stamp and stamped it with Basic Gray Classic Ink before using a Blender Pen and Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red, and Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink Pads to color the image. The Happiest Birthday Stamp is also included with the Stamp Set and I used Island Indigo to stamp it. I added a couple of Twitterpated Designer Buttons (which are just so cute) on each side and then attached it to a Riding Hood Red Framelits Label. Be My Valentine!

Good morning, I am a little behind getting this card posted as it was from Stamp Club earlier this month. I know that doing Valentine's Day Cards in December seems a bit early and I would tend to agree but this set is only available for a short time and I wanted to make sure and use all the stamps in the set. Which meant Valentine's Day in December. The set is Festive and Fun and is only available until January 3rd. We stamped it with Basic Gray Classic Ink and then used the Aquapainters to add some color. The colors on the card are Real Red, Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose. I couldn't resist using the Real Red and Whisper white Glimmer Paper to make heart accents with the Heart to Heart Punch. We also used the Scallop Trim Border Punch. The heart and dot piece behind the main image is the Heart Pressed Letterpress Plate. It is so easy to use with our Craft Stampin' Spots. For ours we used the Real Red Craft Stampin' Spot. Good evening, sorry for the delay in getting a new project up. I can't believe how busy this week has been. Tonight I want to share with you the tags we made this week at club. They are made with the Peek-a-Boo Die in the Holiday Mini and the Tags Til Christmas Stamp Set. We used Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Always Artichoke and Whisper White for our tags. They all have either Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Whisper White Baker's Twine to tie them to your packages. The Do not Open til Christmas as a bell added. Wisteria Teddy Bear

Hello and welcome to the weekend! We are planning on doing some decorating today at our house. Not sure how much we will get done but maybe a tree or two. The little bear that I am sharing with you is actually a case from one that was on Shelli's Blog a while back. I have been wanting to make one but just kept putting the project off. Well after making this one and seeing just how easy they are to make I am ready to make more. He is a small bear just about 3 inches tall but oh so cute. He is made with three different sizes of scallop circle dies and our Flirtatious Designer Fabric. He has brads for his eyes and nose and Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon for his bow. Each scallop circle is hand sewn and stuffed with polyfill or cotton balls then the pieces are hot glued together. If you are interested in making these let me know and I will be happy to show you. Snowman Gift Bag

Happy Friday! I am so looking forward to the weekend! It is going to be a busy one. My kids and I are taking part in our Church Annual Living Nativity both tonight and tomorrow. It is a ten scene drive thru that will involve lots of people and live animals too. The kids are excited and so am I!
Today I have a quick and easy gift bag to share with you. I am always in need of gift bags and love when I can make them myself. This one uses a brown paper lunch sack. I punched a hole in the top for a handle with the Wide Oval Punch then stamped snowflakes across the bag with Whisper White Craft Ink and the Serene Snowflake Stamp Set. I added Whisper White Card Stock along the bottom for snow but first I tore the top edge and added Mica Flakes with Tombow Multipurpose glue. It really holds the Mica Flakes in place. To make the snowman and present I used punches. The present is made with the 1" Square Punch and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Lyaer Punch. The Snowman is made with the 1 3/4", 1 3/8" and 1" Circle Punchs, 1" Square Punch, Word Window Punch, Snowflake Punch and the Bird Builder Punch. I added the buttons, eyes and mouth with the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. My snowman looked a little cold so I added a scarf made with the Marina Mist 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. Now I just need a gift to add inside. I must admit I have not done any shopping this year and I really need to get busy before I can't find what I need.

Grunge Birthday!

Hello and good afternoon! Thanks to everyone that has stopped by the Blog Hop and left comments. I enjoy hearing from you. Today I have a birthday card that I recently gave my youngest brother. I struggle with guy cards as I feel like they are start to look the same and even though I don't think the guys in my life compare them I know. For this one I used Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy Card Stock, Not Quite Navy, Soft Suede, Cajun Craze Classic Ink Pads, Versamark, Well Worn Designer Series Paper, Bring on the Cake Stamp Set and the Extreme Elements Stamp Set. The layout is similar to one that I saw in the Catalog. It had been a few days since I had stamped anything new and casing a layout from the Catalog tends to help get the ideas flowing again.

All Things Stampin'Up! All Holiday Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the All Things Stampin'Up! All Things Holiday! I am so excited to share today's project with you. I made a tic-tac-toe board for Christmas. I got the idea from one that my family had growing up. Ours was Halloween and made just out of felt but we really enjoyed playing it. When I received the Stocking Die Accents I decided they would be the perfect size. I started with a board that was made out of Candy Cane Christmas Designer Fabric. I used two layers with batting between. I used a pink felt and the Tasteful Trim Die to make the board squares. I sewed the felt scallops on with my sewing machine.

The ornaments and trees were also cut out of felt. I glued two layers together with the Tombow Multipurpose Glue so they were a little strudier, then decorate them with more felt accents made with the Tasteful Trim Die and Dazzling Details. There is a close up below and of course you can add more accents if you want but for me I thought I would keep them simple.
Then because I wanted it all to be easy to store I added ribbon to the back and I am able to roll it all up and all the pieces stay inside ready for the next round of tic-tac-toe.
I had the chance to make a card that my oldest son and I had sketched out the other day so I wanted to share it with you today too! He is inspired by return address labels that we received from our Insurance Agent and we thought I matching card would be perfect. The supplies I used are Real Red Card Stock and Classic Ink Pad, Whisper White, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, and Garden Green Card Stock, Serene Snowflake and Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Sets, Big Shot, Scallop Oval Frame, Snow Burst Textured Embossing Folder, Modern Label Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Circle, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Owl Builder Punch, and Blossom Petals Builder. The sun is shining today which means I was able to get pictures taken of my newest project. I made a quick and easy gift bag out of the Deck the Halls Designer Series Fabric that is on sale until the end of today for only $3.98. That is 60% off the regular price. Also included is the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Fabric for the same price. The Sweet Stitches and Springtime Vintage Designer Fabrics are 50% off.

To make the bag I simply cut a rectangle that would go around my item to be wrapped. In this case it is a bottle but it could be anything (bread, cookies, or even numchucks that my 13 year old want to put in the bag) If you want to decorate the front I would recommend doing so before you sew your bag across the bottom and sides or you could add it later but it is more challenging. Ask me how I know? For the front of the back I used the Perfect Pennants Die to cut out the tree. There are three different sizes of triangles on the die so you can make several sizes of trees. I used the largest one. I added Chantilly Crochet Trim to the tree and a Chocolate Chip Scallop Ribbon tree trunk and stitched it to a off white piece of fabric. I added a More Mustard Button from the Regals Designer Buttons to the top of my tree. I then stitched the piece to my Cherry Cobbler fabric before adding the Cherry Cobbler Satin ribbon that was stitched by hand to cover the edges. Now to finish the bag fold your fabric in half with right sides together and stitch along the bottom and side. I then folded the top edge down and stitched it in place to give it a clean finished edge. For this bag I tied it shut with more Chantilly Crochet Trim but you can use any ribbon you like.

As an after thought I could have used the Cherry Cobbler Scallop Ribbon to edge the front. It is one of the four ribbons included in the 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon Bundle along with Basic Black, Chocolate chip and Old Olive for only $22.26 which is 30% off. Gently Falling Cards

Good evening, I have been busy today with a new project but didn't get a chance to take a picture before I lost the light of the day. About a month ago I was asked to make cards for a local church that was having a Women's Retreat. They wanted something to give to each person that attended and thought a bundle of cards would be nice. This is the design I made for them. It is pretty simple which is good as I made 300 of them. The card base is Very Vanilla and I used My Digital Studio to print the Bible Verse on each card. Then I used the Simple Scored to add a couple of score lines right before the Verse. The Stamp Set is Gently Falling and I used More Mustard and Cajun Craze and rock and rolled each leaf before adding the outline stamp in Early Espresso. I did use the Stamp-a-ma-jig just to get it lined up just right. To finish off the card I used the Spritz tool and the Cajun Craze Stampin' Write Marker to spritz each card front. I also made matching envelopes for each card. If you need cards made but don't have time just give me a call and I will be happy to help you out. Clean and Simple Birthday Card

Hello again! I have my kids off to school and will be going for a run soon but I wanted to share this card with you that I finished over the weekend. The layout is one that I saw on Shelli's blog and just haven't taken the time to make. The card uses the Easy Events Stamp Set and Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper. The other supplies are Baja Breeze Card Stock and Stamp Pad, Early Espresso Card Stock, Blusing Bride Card Stock and Stamp Pad, Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad, Whisper White Card Stock, Blender Pen, Scallop Trim Border Punch and the 1 3/8" Square Punch which was used to cut the bottom of the DSP piece. I may go back and add some Dazzling Diamonds to the cupcake but will wait until I decide who to send it too. Greeting Card Kids Ornament

Hello and Good evening, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thank you to all of you that stopped by for the All Things Stampin'Up! Blog Hop. It was great to hear from so many of you. Today I want to share with you an ornament that I made with a Window Sheet, Jet Black Stazon and the Greeting Card Kids Stamp Set. I used some other supplies but I will get to those in a bit. First Stamp your image with the Jet Black Stazon onto the Window Sheet. I then flipped the image over and colored it with Permanent Markers. Our Stampin' Write Markers don't work for this process as they don't dry on the Window Sheet. Then I punched out the image with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch and added a thin layer of Crystal Effect on the side that I had stamped the image on. Note this will reverse the image from the orginal so if using a image with words then add the Crystal Effect on the side with the Permanent Marker. I don't add the Crystal Effects to the marker side just because the marker can some time bleed into the Crystal Effects and cause a halo of color around the image. After adding the Crystal Effects I poured Dazzling Diamonds of the still wet Crystal Effects to give the image a glittery snowy appearance. Let the ornament dry overnight. I used the 1/16" Handheld Punch to add a hole into the top and thread a piece of thin rope or twine through. I then rolled the Window Sheet and pushed it through the opening of the glass ornament holding onto the twine at the top of the ornament. I secured the ends on the outside of the ornament to keep the image upright and then added the top back onto the ornament so it could be added to the tree. Your ornament can be personalized with a name or date. I hope you enjoyed this ornament. Let me know if you have any questions or would like more info. Gift Card Holder

Good morning, sorry for not getting back to you yesterday. I had 300 cards to finish up for this weekend and I decided to just get busy and get them all done. I am happy to have them finished and even happier with the

way they turned out. I will show them to you at a later date as they are an order for a Women's Group and I want them to give them out first. Today I want to share with you a stocking we did at club last week. It is very similar to the one I showed you last week except when you look inside there is a place of a Gift Card. It was easy to make just by adding another Stocking inside and using the Word Window Punch to make the slot for the gift card to slide into. The most important part is to add you sticky strip to the back with the gift card in place as a guide to show you were to put and not put the sticky strip. This stocking has a gift tag on the front so you can hang it on your tree and everyone will know just who it is for. The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Old Olive. Such a great traditional color combo and the Designer Series Paper is Letters to Santa. Please let me know if you want to order the supplies for this project. Felt Stocking

Good morning I am posting early today as it is a busy day with a few trips into town and club again tonight. :) Wednesday when Hannah and Nancy were here for club we were talking about using the Stocking Die on Fabric and Nancy mentioned felt which I had planned to do but had just got busy and forgot about so I decided yesterday was a great day to do it and let me tell you this was a a quick project. It took no time at all to cut the pieces out with the Big Shot, the Holiday Stocking Die and the Stocking Accents. I hand stitched it with a Blanket Stitch using Baker's Twine in no time at all. I added the holly and berries with Crystal Effects and then added the new Dazzling Details to give it a little shimmer and bling. It wasn't quite dry when I took the picture but I think you can see the shimmer to it. The stocking is a great size to add a candy cane, gift card, jewelry or other small item you want to give as a gift. I will add a loop to hanging once the glue dries. They are so quick to cut out and make that you could easily make a bunch while watching tv or like I did while waiting on my kids to finish up practice or get out of school.

Cookie Stamps

Hello and good evening, I have a little different post for you tonight in that food is involved, cookies to be exact. Stampin'Up! now has Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps. The set includes a wooden handle and three silicone stamps to press into your cookie dough and recipes. I decided to give them a try this week for Stamp Club and thought I would share the results with you. The first two pictures are the cookies prior to baking. On the first picture you can see the handle and blue silicone which is the snowflake. The other images are the heart and a jack-o-latern. I didn't try either recipe but did use our favorite shortbread recipe and I am happy with the results and they were a hit at both club and with my kids. I will say that these are big cookies, much bigger than I traditionally make but as long as you only have one or maybe two it should be good. I think the next time I will let me kids in on the fun and let them stamp the dough too! I can't have all the fun right. Technique Time again!

Wow it has been a while since I have used today's technique and this one uses a new twist on it. The technique is Faux Silk and traditionally you would use tissue paper to stamp on then layer it on a base but while blog surfing I found that Lyssa over on Song of My Heart Stampers did this technique using coffee filters. One thing I really like about the coffee filters is that they are a little sturdier and tend to allow for a little rougher treatment just in case you don't get the filter lined up on your base just the way you want to. :)

The supplies are pretty basic I used two stamp sets, Serene Snowflakes and Perfect Punches, three ink colors: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Not Quite Navy. I also used Not Quite Navy Card Stock and Tafetta Ribbon as well as Whisper White and Bashful Blue Card Stock. For the sentiment I used the 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch and the Scallop Circle Punch which is paper pierced on each scallop. This card would be easy to make a bunch of in a short amount of time so if you haven't started your Chistmas Cards yet then be sure and contact me to place your order for supplies. Stocking Card

Good evening, what a fun week it has been. With Halloween and a Christmas card class in the same week how can it not be fun. On Wednesday I held a Christmas card Class and for an extra project I made each of the ladies that attended one of these Stocking Cards. It was so fun to make with the Stocking Die and a little Designer Series Paper. The Merry Christmas is from the Four the Holiday's Stamp Set and I accented it with a Snowflake punched out with the SnowFlake Punch with a Mini Jingle Bell in the center. The new embossing folder adds just the right amount of texture to the stocking and other than a small part of the heal and toe it covers the front of the card. I will do a picture tutorial next week when there is more light so you can see how the actual card is made.

Good morning, I had some time to not only stamp but post. Amazing isn't it! Today's card is one that we did last night at the YWCA's Ladies Night Out. I really enjoyed spending time with all the ladies that attended and teaching them about Stampin'Up! and how to make Christmas cards. There were probably 40 or more ladies there so it was a pretty big event. The card uses Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake and Not Quite Navy. I really like the color combo and it is pretty quick to make. There are several punches including the Snowflake Punch, Scallop Oval Punch and the Scallop Trim Edge Punch. The ribbon is 1/4" Marina Mist Grosgrain Ribbon. If you would like to make this your Christmas Card give me a call and I will be more than happy to help you with your supply order. Wedding Invites Anyone!

Good afternoon , I have been busy getting ready for a pasta dinner that we are hosting tomorrow night so not much stamping as been done this week but I haven't shared the Wedding Invites that I recently did for a Swap that I participated in. I love this color combo together. It is so pretty and yes there is shimmer on the front too. I had designed another invite similar to this for a special couple that will be getting married next month but this one is a little different and the best part about a swap I know have lots of samples to share with anyone that is planning a wedding. So whether you want to make your own or hire me to make them for you I can help you with all your wedding needs. Now back to the invite it is Very Vanilla, Early Espresso and Calypso Coral. It is a trfold and has an inside pocket for your RSVP Card and reception info. As for the other supplies, I used the Big Shot and the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder on the smaller panel and the inside pocket. I also used the Perfect Pennants Die for the belly band as well as the Scallop Trim Border Punch. The A is from the Lovely Letters Alphabet Set. Inside I added flowers by stamping the flowers from Vintage Vogue in Calypso Coral Classic Ink on Very Vanilla. Don't worry all the info inside is false as I only have one daughter. Tuesday and My Digital Studio Time

Good morning it is Tuesday and there are new Digital Downloads for My Digital Studio. If you haven't tried out my Digital Studio what are you waiting for? I thought I would share a super quick page I completed with My Digital Studio in a matter of just minutes. I take a lot of pictures at my daughter's Cross Country Meets and not just of her but the whole team so I thought I would put together a page of just one race. This is the Varsity Girls race and with the predone layout I was able to just plug in pictures add a few background and mat colors and this page is finished. I could do one of these for every race that day and add a little journalling and be done or I could add ribbon, stamps and all the extras. I can even do a whole season in one book and have it professionally printed so that my daughter will have it to look back on years from now. Halloween Luminary

Hello and Happy Monday to you! I was going to share this Luminary with you last week but I had forgot to take a picture and just now got to it today. This is one of the projects we did at Patti's workshop over a week ago. Wow the week has flown by. To make this we used the Big Shot and the Fancy Favors Box and cut the box out of Elegant Eggplant 12x12 Card Stock. We then used the 2 1/2" Circle Punch to punch a hole of of the front and back. We used Jet Black Stazon to stamp the Spooky from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set on the Vellum and then sponged a moon on the Vellum using Peach Parfait and Pumpkin Pie Classic Inks. The Vellum was attached to the inside of the box with SNAIL and then we stamped the Bats also from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set across the front with Jet Black Stazon. I need to touch up a few of my bats with the Basic Black Stampin' Wirite Marker but I didn't have it with me at the time I made this sample. These luminaries are so quick and easy to make and would be beautiful for a wedding or other special event. Know remember it is important to use the battery operated tea lights in these so that they don't catch on fire. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to answer them. Dark & Dreary Treats

Good morning! It is Friday and we have a home football game tonight that my daughter and I will be there working the concession stand. It is going to be another busy day with lunch at school with two of my boys too. So last week at Patti's workshop we made these little treats for all the little ghouls in your life. They use the new Cellophane Bags that are 1"x 8" and we stamped Spiders with the Jet Black Stazon across the bags. The crow from the Dark & Dreary Stamp Set was stamped in Jet Black Stazon on Daffodil Delight Card Stock before it was punched out and added to a Basic Black Card Stock circle that was made with the Big Shot and the Circle #2 Die. The Happy Halloween is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and can you guess which ink I used to stamp it? Yep, Jet Black Stazon on Very Vanilla Card Stock. These are just a quick and easy treat. Happy Halloween

Good morning, I am going to post earlier today and hope that the rain moves out so that I can get my run in later. I had a workshop on Friday at Patti's house and one of the projects we made was this card. It uses the Dark & Dreary Stamp Set and Pick Your Poison Designer Series Paper. The base is Pumpkin Pie Card Stock with the Spider Web added with the Big Shot and then sponged with Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink. The Happy Halloween was stamped with Jet Black Stazon on Very Vanilla Card Stock and again on Perfect Plum Card Stock then the 31 was punched out. The main image was sponged with both Peach Parfait and Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink and we added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the image too. We also used Basic Gray Card Stock which was punched out with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch and Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon.
I have another night of Stamp Club tonight, it will be a larger group than last nights and I am excited to see everyone. :) I will be working on a few new projects today too and will share them with you as soon as I have them finished. Tile Technique

Hello and good afternoon today I want to share one of the projects that we will be making this week at Stamp Club. It is a faux tile and is so quick and easy to make with the help of our new scoring board. I love mine and am so glad that Stampin'UP! added it to our products. The stamp set is Gently Falling which is in the Holiday Mini. I used the colors: Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Elegant Eggplant for this card but any fall color combo would look great. The layout is pretty straight forward but I did add a little extra texture on the Elegant Eggplant band by using the Big Shot (free this month to all new recruits) and the Houndstooth Embossing folder. The sentiment is from the Pretty Postage Stamp Set and after marking each Thanks for either Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard or Cajun Craze and stamping on Very Vanilla Card Stock I punched it out with the 1" punch and then layered it with the Postage Stamp Punch. Halloween Candle

We had a great weekend and it all started with Patti's workshop on Friday night. This is a yearly event and it is always a fun time. The theme is Halloween and for Patti's hostess gift I made this candle. The technique is a fun one and so easy to customize your candles for every event. I used the Dark & Dreary Stamp Set, Basic Black Craft Ink, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool to make this candle. I added a little extra bling to the candle to really make it pop including the Basic Rhinestones and Glass Glitter which was added with Sticky Strip along the bottom of the candle. Extreme Halloween

Hello and good afternoon! I have been quiet the last few days but I have five new projects to share with you over the next week so stop by often. Today's card is a halloween card that uses a nontraditional set. I used Extreme Elements and Tenny Tiny Wishes to make this fun card. The colors are Wisteria Wonder, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Peach Parfait and Very Vanilla. I stamped the various elements on Very Vanilla Card Stock to create the background. I also sponged all the edges with Wisteria Wonder. I used Very Vanilla Seam Binding that was also sponged with Wisteria Wonder. To make the sentiment I ued three different punches the Modern Label, Large Oval and the Decorative Label. After adding a few Basic Black Brads to the side the sentiment was complete. I have some other more traditional halloween ideas to share with you too but not today.

Hello and Happy Monday! What a beautiful weekend it was here in Missouri. We spent most of Saturday outside and yesterday was spent inside catching up for the week ahead. I did get a chance to stamp a super quick card yesterday however and hope to do a little stamping today hopefully with the Big Shot in mind. I pulled out the new Gently Falling and Hand Penned Stamp Sets and the More Mustard, Pool Party and Soft Suede Classic Ink Pads and Very Vanilla, Soft Suede and Pool Party Card Stock. The leaves and acorns were randomly stamped around the Give Thanks and then I sponged the edges as well as the Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon with a sponge and Soft Suede Classic Ink. I wanted something on just the corners and was going to punch them then decided to add the knotted ribbon. This card would be great to send to a special friend or for Thanksgiving. Just a Little Batty!

Good evening, I finally got a picture taken of my bat. Now Shelli orginally shared a bat like this on her blog and he has taken flight across the blogs. It is super easy to make and while I think my fangs are a little big my boys thought they were great. To make the bat you will need the Big Shot, Petal Cone Die and the Perfect Pennant Die, Basic Black Card stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Sticky Strip and the two circle punches (I used the 3/4" and the Circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack) and the Petite Pennants Builder Punch. My bat has just eaten so he has some Real Red blood dripping from his fangs. You can fill him with all kinds of treats and give to all the ghosts and goblins that travel to your house this Halloween or you can send them to school with treats for the kids. Bingo Bits

Good morning, today I am going to share the final card for the Christmas Card Class. This card uses the Jolly Bingo Bits Stamp Set and the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. It also uses an assortment of punches including the 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/8 Square Punches as well as the Decorative Label Punch. The colors are Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Whisper White and Crumb Cake. We used the Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the bell, poinseitta and the ornament. I just realized that my poinseitta is green not sure why I did it that way. I think I will change that on this card. Sorry I guess I wasn't thinking when I made the card. The Crumb Cake has texture added with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. This card is pretty simple to make and with the help of the punches it goes together quickly. It also mails easily without ribbon knots to worry about. I am going to take pictures of the Halloween project I made the other day and will post it later today. Hand Penned Christmas

Good evening, thought I would show you another one of the Christmas cards close up and give you a supply list. This card uses two new sets the Hand Penned Holidays set and the Pines & Poinsettias Stamp Set. The colors are Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke. I used the Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the pine cones and poinsettias before stamping them. The pine cones were punched out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on the Always Artichoke. The texture on the front of the card was added by using the Big Shot and the Perfect Details Texturz Plates. I did add a inside panel to this card too since the color is so dark and hard to write on but I didn't get a picture of it. Sorry. Tomorrow I will be sharing a Halloween project then I have a Wedding Invite to share with you that I just completed for a Wedding Swap that I am participating in. Cute Little Stockings

Hello and good afternoon. I am back with another project to share with you. We made this for my Christmas Card Class last week and while it isn't your traditional Christmas colors I do think it is a fun card. The stamp set is the new Stitched Stockings and we used the coordinating Stocking Builder Punch to punch out the three stockings. Each was stamped on whisper white card stock with Real Red, Baja Breeze or Pink Pirouette Classic Ink. The base of the card is Baja Breeze and there is also Baja Breeze Seam Binding used for the card. The Whisper White panel has some added texture thanks to the new Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Scallop Trim is made with Real Red and Pink Pirouette Designer Series Patterns Paper and the Tasteful Trim Die. By adding just a few Basic Rhinestones this card has just the right amount of sparkle. Of course you can change the colors to a more traditional colors. Another sewing project

Good morning, I hope you enjoyed your Monday and are ready for Tuesday. I am! I have a few more things to do for the wedding invite swap that I am in but they are coming along nicely. Today I wanted to share another sewing project with you that I did last week. This is a pillow that was made with Fleece and some leftover fabric. The B was cut with the Big Shot and the Serif Essentials Alphabet Dies. They make it so easy to personalize a gift whether it be a pillow or something else. I hand stitched around the B with a Blanket Stitch and other than machine stitching the sides thiss pillow was quick to make. I think a few more of these would be fun for the holidays. Stocking Placemat

Good afternoon, I mentioned a while a go that I had a couple of sewing projects that I have been working on well today I am going to share the Christmas Placemat that I made a few weeks ago. The placemat is super easy to make and you can use the stocking for either a napkin or silverware. I used a prequilted Red fabric that I found at one of our local fabric stores and then used the Candy Cane Christmas Fabric to make the stocking and the edging. I used the smallest Scallop Square Die and the new Holiday Stocking die to cut the fabric. I did use an interfacing on the stocking to give it a little more durablity and I used a blanket stitch around the stocking except the top to attach it to the placemat. I hope you are see that better in the close up picture below. I am going to make a few more so that I have a set to either use in our home or to give as a gift. The stocking also can be used on felt to make a cute gift card holder or to put a treat for

a child in. I will be using this die a lot this year I have a feeling.
There is also a Stocking Accents Die that has other items that you can add to your stocking. Wow 4 Days!

Wow I can't believe how quickly the last four days have flown by and I really had planned to post sooner but there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. I will do one of the Christmas Cards that we made last week and show you something new tomorrow. This card uses Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Blushing Bride as the main colors. The stamp set is Fun & Festive and is from the Holiday Mini. I stamped with Basic Gray and colored with a Blender Pen. The Designer Series Paper is Letters to Santa and I added texture with the Big Shot and the Petals-a-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. To make the Scallop Rectangle I used the Scallop Square #2 Die and cut a square first then put the square back on the die but moved the bottom scallop down one and cut it off making the square a rectangle. I will take a few pictures to explain that better tomorrow when there is daylight. Until then I am off to bed to get some sleep. We have another busy day tomorrow and I have Wedding Invites to finish for a Swap I am taking part in. They are about half finished as I did all the scoring and cutting tonight. Spice Cake DSF

Good morning, it is early at our house and I am about to start my day again but before I do I wanted to share with you the final card we made at Beth's Workshop. I am really loving these three colors together and have another card in mind with the Gently Falling Stamp Set but haven't found the time to make it. The colors if you are wondering are Pool Party, More Mustard and Soft Suede in addition to using the Gently Falling Stamp Set we also used the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. For accessories we added Spiced Cake Designer Series Fabric just like ribbon and also used Baker's Twine that has been distressed to hold the tag on. The tag was made with the Word Window Punch and the Modern Label Punch. The Scallop Square is made with the Big Shot and the Scallop Square 2 Die. It is a great die as there are two different sizes of Scallop Squares on it so you get more use. This card is easy to duplicate and some of the guests used Happy Thanksgiving on their cards so that they could send it for Thanksgiving. Thoughts of Fall

Good afternoon! What a beautiful day it is today. I love that the sun is shining and the temperature is warming up again. I had a workshop on Friday night and we focused of Fall and this is one of the cards we made. I really like the Thougths and Prayers Stamp Set and the sentiments are great. I haven't used my Stampin' Pastels lately and when trying to figure out how to best achieve a fall look for the leaves, I first considered markers but that is time consuming and it is hard to tell which leaves you have inked up, then I rememebered Poppin' Pastels and I knew it would be perfect for this tree. All we had to do was ink up the stamp with Versamark then dap the pastels over the Versamark to add the color to the tree. We used Early Espresso, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, and Pumpkin Pie in the Stampin'Pastels. The Thinking of you was inked up with the Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker then punched out with the Wide Oval Punch. We used a sponge dauber and added just a bit of More Mustard to the edges of the oval. The base of the card is Crumb Cake that has had texture added with the Elegant Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The main image is layered onto a layer of Cajun Craze Card Stock that has add the bottom punched out with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. With just a bit of Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon and the card is finished. Everyone's card turned out differently due to the color choices they made when applying the pastels. Tomorrow I will share with you the other project we did on Friday. It uses the new Gently Falling Stamp Set and some of the new Spiced Cake Designer Series Fabric. Love it!

Halloween Club Card

Good afternoon! I am going to share the the project we did at Stamp Club this week with you today. This card has several elements and extras but it was fun to do and will be fun to give away too! The card stock that we used is Old Olive, Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Whisper White, and Basic Gray. We also used the Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper, Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Spider Wed Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and a Basic Black Mini Clip just a few accessories. ;) The two stamp sets are Fun & Festive which is in the Holiday Mini and Sweet Centers. Jet Black Stazon was used to stamp the Happy Halloween and then it was colored in with a Blender Pen and various Stamp Pads. The Eek You're Sweet was inked up with the Basic Black, Old Olive and Cajun Craze Stampin Write Markers. Oh and of course what is a card without a few punches. In this case we used the 1 1/4" Circle and the 1 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch. I am finishing up packing for a workshop tonight then tomorrow I am taking the boys on a road trip to see Kaylee run in Joplin. Fall Milk Carton

Good afternoon, we had a great club night last night. We had a several guest mixed in with our regular ladies. We made this little treat box from the Milk Carton Die and the new Gently Falling Stamp Set. It is the shame style that I showed you last week on the Jack-a-latern except that we closed up the top with Very Vanilla Seam Binding. The tag was made with the Wide Oval Punch and the Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I did sponge all my edges as well as the Seam Binding and the Whisper White Baker's Twine with a sponge and the Soft Suede Classic Stamp Pad.
Wouldn't these little treat containers be so cute for Thanksgiving? You could add each person's name and then right little notes tell them why you are thanksful for them or you can fill them with trails mix or other treats.

Wicked Treats for Stamp Club

Good morning, I hope you had a nice weekend. The weather was great and I did get out and enjoy it a bit but I also did some stamping so I have new projects to share with you. The first one is a club project for this week. It starts with our new 1"x 8" Cellophane Bags. You get 50 for only $2.50 and they are great for Halloween, Christmas, Valentines Day and so much more. We stamped bats from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set with Jet Black Stazon on the front of the Cellophane Bag to add some Halloween Fun. After the Stazon dried we added the Smarties Candy and started decorating the tag. The bags are self sealing but I wanted to add a bit more interest so the top is tied shut with Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. Then to make the tag we used the have a WICKED halloween also from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set and inked it up with the Basic Black and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers stamped on Whisper White Card Stock and punched it out with the 1" Circle Punch. We used the 1 1/4" Circle Punch to punch out Cajun Craze Card Stock and the Curly Label Punch to punch out the Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper. We layered them then attached it to our Ribbon to finish off the Treat Bag. As we mark the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 I thought it would only be fitting to post a card for our Service men and woman. 9/11 for so many of us is one of those dates that will forever be a I was "here" moment when the attacks happened. So while we honor those that gave all and remember those that have fought for our freedoms I just want to say Thank you and may we always remember what you have done.

Halloween Treats!

Hello and thanks for stopping by, I have a fun Halloween treat container for you today and it is so simple to make with the help of the Big shot and a few punches. This container uses the Milk Carton Die and was demonstrated at Convention but after making my first one it just made me think of a pumpkin so I had to make another one. I love this idea and thank you to who ever thought of it. You will need to cut two milk carton and then cut off one panel on each. The panel without the tab please. Then just attach the two cartons together using the tabs and fold in the bottoms add some Sticky Strip and you are done unless you want a jack-o-lantern then you need Basic Black Card Stock, the Wide Oval Punch and the Pennant Builders Punch. I used each of the punches for either the mouth or the eyes. I will take some pictures of the punching process and add those later so you have an idea of how it get the shapes you need. I added a 4x6" Cellophane bag filled with candy and tied the bag off with our fun, new Dotted Scallop Edge Ribbon in Basic Black. The bow makes me think of a little girl Jack-o-lantern or would would it be a Jill-o-lantern,. :) These would make great treat bags for school or those favorite little trick or treaters that should stop by and after the candy it gone they can use the container for other things like pencils or crayons. We will be making a similar container at club this week so Club Members will get to see first hand out easy these are to make. Well, that is it for today. The Stockings Were Hung!

Ok, ok, I am not hanging Stockings yet but I am thinking about Christmas Cards and what design we might use this year at our house. Now I must say after thinking about this card a bit I think I would add a some baker's twine to the top of the Real Red Card Stock around the folded section but for now this will have to do and I might do some more shading on the fireplace. The things I think of after the card is finished and pictures have been taken. I received the new Stitched Stocking Stamp Set yesterday and the coordinating Stocking Builder Punch and just couldn't resist inking it up. I Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive and Real Red with just a touch of Soft Suede for sponging. Each stocking was inked with the Stampin' Write Markers and then punched from Confetti White Card Stock. I ran a piece of Real Red Card Stock through the Big Shot with the new Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and my main image was taking shape. I punched the bottom of the Real Red with the Scallop Edge Punch to add just a bit of interest. To each stocking I added a few Mini Jingle Bells. I love these. They are so tiny and cute and each to attach with a Mini Glue Dot. They will require that you use a special mailer to send them out postal but for tags and hand delivered cards they are to cute and you get 48 for only 2.95. That is a great deal. I used Teeny Tiny Wishes for the Merry Christmas and punched it with the Word Window Punch. The Pear Pizzazz base looked a little to bland so I added a piece of Letters To Santa Designer Series Paper that added just enough interest to the background to finish off the card. Gently Falling

Hello and Good afternoon! I got a chance to try out the new Gently Falling Stamp Set yesterday and I love how it looks when stamped. It is a two step stamp set and is so easy to use. For the colors I decided to pull out the colors of the new Spice Cake Designer Series Paper but I left the Pool Party out for this card. So the final colors are Soft Suede, More Mustard and Pear Pizzazz. I used a few Big Shot items and added just a bit of Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon. The sentiment is from the Just Believe Stamp Set and was stamped on Confetti White Card Stock before it was punched out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch. I can't wait to try out some other color combos and this will definitely be a set that you will see again during Stamp Club and my Septemeber Workshops. I also have a project start with the Spice Cake Designer Series Fabric so be sure and check back for that one. Well, I received some new goodies today from the UPS man so I am heaed off to design new cards. Sorry for the not so great picture. Not sure what is up as it looks fine when I edit it and is much clearer. I have sort of taken a break from stamping and have been busy working on a few sewing projects. Nothing to exciting right now to share but maybe soon. So today I wanted to sit down and finish a card. I had stamped and colored the Happy Halloween image from the Festive and Fun Stamp Set (Holiday Mini) a while back but it just sat there so I started there. I used a base of Old Olive that I added Polka Dots to using the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Embossing folder. I distressed the paper with the Jet Black Stazon Pad. In fact everything was distress with the Jet Black Stazon Pad, the image, ribbon and Pumpkin Pie card stock layer. I used 1 1/4" Basic Black Striped Grosgrain Ribbon underneath the image to sort of anchor it. I added just a touch of bling with the Basic Black Glimmer Brad that is used to gather the ribbon. The card is a lot less layers than I would usually do but I tend to start simple when I have been away from Stampin' for a while. Maybe the creative juice will start to flow and I can get back to stamping. I think I will try stamping with the new Gently Falling Stamp Set and see what I can come up with. The Holiday Mini is Here!

Good morning, I know I am a day late in getting this posted as the Holiday Mini started yesterday but I do want to share with you a start to my Christmas decorations for this year that are made with one of my favorite new products in the Holiday Mini it is something that demonstrators have asked for for quite a while and it is going to make doing 3D projects so much faster and easier. We know carry the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and I made both of these decorations with it and so can you. Both use the Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper which I stocked up on when I was on special last month. For the blue ornament (since I think these will be getting a string at the top and hung on my Stampin' Room Tree) was made by cutting out two of the larger Scallop circles on the Scallop Circle #2 Big Shot Die. I then scored them at each scallop and cut on scallop down to the center. Attach the two Scallops together to create a circle. This one is decorate with a few circle punches and the mittens from the Jolly Bingo Bits Stamp Set. To make the second ornament I used the 2 1/2 x 12" Strips of Designer Series Paper and scored both strips of DSP every 1/2" The center is decorated with Greeting Cards Kids which is still one of my favorite stamp sets. I used the new Mica Flakes for the Snow and the new Dazzling Details (think Dazzling Diamonds in a glue base that is so easy to use) around the Scallop Circle. I used markers and a blender pen to color in the little girl. Now since I cropped both pictures I thought I would give you a side by side comparison so that you could see how much bigger the 2 1/2" strips circle is than the scallop circle. I can't wait to try a few Halloween ones and of course there is so much more that can be done with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Christmas Box

Good afternoon, it is a beautiful day out today which makes it so much easier to take pictures of new projects. Today I have a project that I received from Stampin'UP! for having a new recruit join my team during July. My new team member also received one as did a few of my other team members who had new members join their team. So this Christmas box uses some new products that won't be available until Septemeber 1 but that is of course right around the corner so I decided to go ahead and share. The stamp set is the new Pines & Poinsettias Set and I am sure that you will be seeing more Christmas projects with it very soon and through out the season. There is also the new Holly Berry Designer Series Paper, Fabric and buttons. It maybe hard to see in the picture but there is Champagne Fine Galaxy Stampin' Glitter all over the box to add extra shimmer. It may be hard to see in the picture but the sides have Basic Pearls added around the base on the Wild Wasabi Card Stock. This is one of the more details projects that I have done recently but I really love how it turned out and can't wait to display it during Christmas. :)

Strength and Hope Part 2

Good morning, it is a beautiful day and I have another 3x3 card to share with you that uses the Strength and Hope Stamp Set. I made this card last week before the Savy Seniors event and forgot to share it with you. The colors I used are Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso and Riding Hood Red. What a great combo. I started by stamping the word image over and over across the Very Vanilla Card Stock with the Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad, then I stamped the beautiful butterfly on the same piece with Riding Hood Red Classic Stampin' Pad. I added a Basic Pearl to the center of the butterfly just to add a touch of bling. I stamped the H hope with the Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad and punched it out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch before adding it to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional. The card was finished with a layer of Riding Hood Red under the Very Vanilla Card Stock and then a base of Pink Pirouette.

This is the perfect size card to add to a gift or put inside a lunch box to add a bit of encouragement. You can also add it to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of card stock and make it a full size card that has a added sentiment area on the front. I will try and turn this one into a full size card today and show you an example.

Bring on the Birthday Final Card

Hello, well my boys had a good first day of school and are back for their second day. My youngest was tired this morning due to a late baseball practice last night so it is probably a good thing they have an early out again today. Yesterday was my first Bring on the Birthday Cards Class and I enjoyed it so much. I only had one stamper but she is new to stamping and sometimes one on one is great. Tonight I have a full group and it will be just as much fun. The ladies coming tonight have all stamped before so the class should move right along. Today I have the final Birthday Card. It uses a couple of different Designer Series Paper including Nursery Nest and Just Add Cake. The stamp set is once again Bring on the Cake and I have stamped the image directly on the Designer Series Paper with the Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad before coloring the Birthday with Marina Mist, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Perfect Plum Classic Stampin' Pads and a Blender Pen. I added just a touch of Marina Mist 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon on the edge of the Designer Series Paper. I used both the Petite Pennants Builder Punch and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch on the card as well as the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder. Good morning, this is going to be a quick post as I have a lot to do before I send all the kids off to school today. They all have a half day, Kaylee due to extreme heat and the boys because it is their first day. The card I am sharing today is another card for my Bring on the Birthday Cards Class which is today and tomorrow. The cards uses Real Red, Tempting Turqouise and Whisper White. I used various circle punches to make the card and the Big Top Birthday Designer Series Paper. Oh and one of my favorite new embossing folders Stripes. Beau Chateau Birthday Wishes

Good morning, I am happy to say that I have been stamping. I finished two new cards yesterday and another one today so I will have new cards to share for the next three days and if I can keep the ideas flowing then I will keep on stamping. My boys start back to school tomorrow and I can get back into a routine with my mornings being for stamping and then I have the rest of the day for other things. :)
Today's card is one that we will be making at the Bring on the Birthday Cards class that I am having tomorrow and Thursday. This card is a case from the catalog and can be found on page 160. I made a few changes like the colors, turning the card sideways, leaving off the ribbon and adding the sentiment under the flower instead of in one of the squares but the layout is still the same. I really like the Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper and as just a reminder it is one of the packs of paper that is included in the Buy 3 get one Free Offer that ends on August 31. One thing I do want to point out is that the center of the flower looks shining, well I didn't have buttons that worked for this card so I made my own. I used the Sweet Buttons Embosslits Die and cut out three of the same button, stacked them on top of each other and then added Crystal Effects to the top one to make it all Glossy and shiny. You do need to allow extra time for the button to dry but it is worth the wait. I will be premaking these today for the classes so that there will be no wait time. ;)

Hostess Gift!

Good morning! I am hoping that this week I can get back into a regular posting schedule. Last week was crazy busy with lots of events and deadlines to meet so my posting was a little lacking. Sorry about that. :( I did have a wonderful week stamping with a lot of different people. Wednesday night I had a workshop for Paula and she had a lot of friends and family attend. I hope they all enjoyed themselves I know I sure did. I always give my hostess a gift in addition to their catalog just as an extra thank you for having me into their home and for Paula's I made a candle that has had the butterfly from the Strength and Hope stamp set added to it. This is a fun technique and really dresses up a plain candle. For the colors I pulled the colors from the Pocketful of Posies Designer Series Paper that a made the box from. The box was so easy to make using our new Simply Scored Scoring Tool which will be available next month. (As Demonstrators we get to preorder and I have loved using mine) The lid is made from Rich Razzleberry Card Stock and to make the box extra special I added a Big Shot Fun Flower. I cut the flower out in Night of Navy, Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White. Before I added the Vintage Brad I used my Shimmer Spray and spritzed each flower and scrunched them. I love the shine and shimmer plus it makes the flowers easier to form and shape.
I have added a few different pictures to make it easier to see the candle, box and flower but if you have any questions about them please let me know and I will be happy to help you.
I have finished cutting all the Designer Series Paper for the shares and there are so many fun prints and since they are buy 3 get 1 free right now there is no better time to stock up.

Another Quick Post

Hello, no I haven't forgotten how to post life has just been busy and I had a few projects to complete and with our power outages it has been hard to find time to post. We have another round of storms moving in now but we have been so forunate since we had power after 3:30 this morning and I have friends who are still without. I hope we see power restored to the rest of the area soon.

Yesterday I spent some time at our local library presenting at a Savy Seniors event. I really enjoyed the day and tonight I will share one of the cards we did. I wanted to keep the cards simple since there were other booths to see and many of the people would be stamping for the first time. I decided to use the Strenght and Hope Stamp Set from the Summer Mini. For ever stamp set that is purchased through the end of the month Stampin'UP! will give $2 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I really like the butterfly on this set and hope you take a moment to consider purchasing it and helping out a worthy cause.

The card itself is pretty simple so I am going to head off to bed and will try and post again this weekend. Good morning! Today is the first day of school for many of our area schools including my daughter's. She was up and ready to go this morning before I made it downstairs. Technique Fun with Easy Events

Hello and welcome to the weekend. Today I am going to share one of the cards we did for club this week. It is the same technique I showed you on my last card. It uses the Big Shot and the Striped Embossing Folder. The colors are the new Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake. The stamp set is Easy Events and we used the Aquapainter to watercolor the image after it was stamped on the Very Vanilla Card Stock. The scallop was created with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch and the Very Vanilla Circle was cut out the the #2 Circle Die and the Big Shot. The final additions to the card are the Perfect Polka Dots on the Lucky Limeade Card Stock base and the Scallop Polka Dot Ribbon around the middle of the plaid Poppy Piece. I really like that the Ribbon is Polka Dotted on one side and plain on the other so that you can use it either way. It's like getting two ribbons on one roll.
I have a few other cards to share with you this coming week, including another Bring on the Birthday Cards Card. It is a more manly card and I will share it on Monday.

Little Duckie!

Hello and good afternoon! Today I want to share a fun card that I made this week with a new Technique that was featured at Convention by Jan Tink of Stamp, Paper, Scissors. The technique piece is the plaid background that can be seen behind the duckie. To make this piece all you need it the Big Shot, Striped Embossing Folder, Brayer, Classic Ink Pad(s) and White Card Stock. The colors for this card are Calypso Coral, Pool Party, and Whisper White. The duck includes Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. The duck is from the Easy Events Stamp Set and is punched out with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch after is was colored with the Aquapainter. I added a Calypso Coral Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch piece to the side of the card and to finish off the card I used my sewing machine and stitched. The stitching was quite easy and I will probably more likely to stitch on my cards in the future but I really want to start a new sewing project too, possibly a Christmas one. One more night of club this evening and then I have a few days off but need to work on more Birthday cards for the Bring on the Brithday Cards Class. Kaylee's Big Day

Good afternoon! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. We had a busy and wonderful one that included a family reunion and a Birthday party for my daughter. She turned 16 yesterday. I can't believe that it has been 16 years since I first became a mother and was blessed with her as my only daughter. She is growing up into an amazing young lady. So for quite some time she has wanted a Royal Blue "Bug" for her first car and a couple of weeks ago we found one for her and even though she has know about it I thought it would be fun to incorporate one into her card design too. After a quick google search I found one and with a few modifcations I was set. After I had the car created I had to made the card too and decided to use the Pennant Parade Stamp Set and make a background with colors that I had the birthday girl pick out. Now she had no idea when I asked for a color combo that it was for her card as I had told her it was for an upcoming class, sneaky right. ;) The colors are Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, and Pacific Point. The 16 is cut with the Timeless Type Sizzlits Dies and the Big Shot. I hand cut the cloud and the grass for the front.

I wanted the inside to be special too so I added a Pennant Banner across it and added the Early Espresso color to the mix. Each of the Pennants if a different stamp from the Pennant Parade Stamp Set and are punched out with the Petite Pennants Builder. They are attached with Whisper White Baker's Twine and Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Bring on the Cake Stamp Set. I love this set and have used it a lot since I received it. I didn't get a picture of the inside before I gave it to her so blurred out that part so that is why the bottom look a little odd.
I need to run, I have a big to do list today and the day it slipping away much to quickly. I have stamping on my list so hopefully I will be back tomorrow with a new project. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Designer Birthday Wishes!

Good afternoon! Well, summer is offically coming to an end. I went today and we got my Daughter's class schedule for her Sophomore year. The years seem to fly by and with each passing year is of course another Birthday. Since I have so many Birthdays in the next two months I really need to get a lot of cards made plus I have my upcoming Bring on the Birthday Cards Class. I am not sure if this will be a card for class or not but I do like the way it turned out and am glad the UPS man dropped off the Not Quite Navy Taffeta Ribbon this morning because it is just what this card needed. The Designer Series Paper is from the Paisley Petals Paper Pack and after adhering the 1" strips I cut it out with the Top Note Bigz Die then added some texture with the Houndstooth Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I sanded the raised areas just a bit to give it a more worn look like that favorite quilt that gets used and loved in places that makes it all soft and comfortable. The sentiment is from the Bring of the Cake Stamp Set and was stamped in Not Quite Navy and punched out with the Wide Oval Punch. The mat is River Rock Card Stock and was made by cutting out two Top Notes then cutting each in half one in each direction. Then with some layering you get a mat that is larger than the full Top Note. Of course I could have cut the trim line around the top note but I had the main image done before I thought to add the mat.

I am going to try and do some more stamping today as well as cut the ribbon for the ribbon shares so that they are ready for delivery. Candles a Plenty!

Good morning, today I wanted to share a Card for the upcoming Bring of the Brithday Cards Class. This card features the Bring on the Cake Stamp Set and the Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper. I also used the Build a Blossom Stamp Set and the coordinating Blossom Petals Builder Punch to make the flames on the candles. The base of the card is Peach Parfait. This card went together pretty quickly with the help of our wonderful punches that make it a snap to make. It might be hard to see in the picture but there is Dazzling Diamonds on each of the flames. We will make three cards of this design for the class as well as three of 4 other designs for a total of 15 cards. A Dashing Christmas

Good afternoon! Maybe another Christmas card will help you forget that the weather is HOT! Trying thinking about Snow and how much colder it will be in a few months or if all else fails stay inside and stamp in the nice a/c. ;) Today's card is the final card from the Christmas in July Card Class. This base of the card is Soft Suede and we used Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler Card Stock on the rest of the card. The two stamps used are Dasher which is a A la Carte Stamp and Teeny Tiny Wishes. The base is texturized with the Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. It has some sparkle added with the Frost White Shimmer Paint and the Basic Rhinestones. Dasher was stamped with Soft Suede Classic Stamp pad and then we used 2 way glue and Dazzling Diamonds to add some sparkle at his feet and on his antlers too. The Merry Christmas was stamped with Cherry Cobbler then punched out with the Word Window punch to finish off the card. This card would be an easy card to mass produce and have for all of your family and friends. I will be scheduling another Christmas Class next month if you would like to attend just watch my schedule for updates.

Easy Events Thank you!

Good morning, well I was just to tired last night after our final evening of Vacation Bible School to post so I will share with you today a new card I made from the Easy Events Stamp Set. Yes, I really do like this set. I wondered when I first ordered it but I knew I needed a set that would work for multiple occassions and this one fits the bill. It is also one of the sets that is in the Special $99 Starter Kit that ends tomorrow. Getting your Starter Kit is as easy as going online. No paperwork to fill out or mail in and once you have signed up online your kit will soon be on its way to your doorstep. Now back to the card. The base is Peach Parfait and it is texturized with the Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. I used just a little bit of the Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper. The flowers are stamped with the Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad on Whisper White Card Stock that we cut out with the Circle #2 Originals Dies and the Big Shot. To make the flowers So Saffron in color I stamped the flowers again on So Saffron Card Stock then cut them out with the Paper Snips and to add just a bit of dimension and shine a covered them with Crystal Effects after I added them to the card. The Circle is added to a 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch that in made from Marina Mist Card Stock. Other than waiting for the Crystal Effects to dry this is a pretty quick card and is one that I could easy show you at a workshop. Do you need a night out with the friends? Yet another Quilted Bag

Good afternoon, I seem to be in a stamping slump right now. I guess because I don't have a upcoming project that I need my MOJO has taken a few days off and instead of show you the last Christmas card I thought I would share with you another Teacher's bag that I made in May. I really like the prints I used in this bag and should go back and see if they have any more. I am in the mood to sew so maybe I should just switch for a day or two. This bag uses the Scallop Square Clear Die which allows me to cut out several layers at one time and makes getting to the sewing stage so much faster.
