Simple Birthday Card

Hello and welcome! I have a simple birthday card for you today that we made a few weeks ago at the Birthday Card Class I hosted. The colors and Designer Paper are new this year so it makes for a fresh new look. I am going to keep this short as I have a busy day working with 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from our church and other churches in the area. Display Cards Part 2

Boys Will Be Boys Convention Display

Convention starts today! I am home this year but my cards aren't. Our SSINKspiration team was chosen to be have a Project Board and the members of the team each picked a stamp set and featured it on the board. I used the new stamp set Boys will be Boys and this is one of the cards I made. I love the background that is made with an acrylic block and our Stampin' Write Markers with Whisper White card stock. Simply color on the block mist it with water and stamp the block directly on the card stock. I love how the colors make a camo like background for my army man. The Army man was stamped twice once on Whisper White and once on Crumb Cake. I cut out the parachute from the Crumb Cake and added it to the Whisper White and colored the Army man with the Old Olive Blendablities. The Sentiment was stamped and then I added just a bit of Burlap Ribbon behind it to really make the sentiment pop. July Card Sketch

Hello and welcome to the July Sketch Challenge. I went with clean and easy this month and used some of the Project Life items on my card. The Stamp Set is Just Sayin' and it has a coordinating framelit which is Word Bubble.The Designer Paper is actually a card from the Everyday Adventures Project Life Card Collection, I also used the Project Life Corner Punch on both the Whisper White layer and the Strawberry Slush. The Whisper White is also texturized with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. Now I have a card to encourage someone or just celebrate with them. It's All About Kids

Hello today we are posting all about kids. I had planned to show you the bottom card on this post but the picture just doesn't do it justice so I decided to add the birthday card below. It would work great for a teen and can be for either a boy or a girl. Both cards used the Boys will be Boys Stamp Set and the first card also used the Remembering your Birthday Stamp Set. Supplies are: Real Red, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, and Blackberry Bliss Stamp Pads, Hello Honey, Real Red, and Tangelo Twist Card Stock, Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits, Circle Card Thinlits, Whisper White Card Stock and the Banner Punch. To get the splatter across the card I used the Aquapainter and the ink pads and simply flicked ink across the card. I will warn you the technique can be a bit messy but also fun. 

 The final card uses a note card and I stamped the image twice once on the note card and once on a scrap of paper. I then cut out the parachute and used dimensionals to add it to the card. I colored the army man with the Old Olive Blendablilties Markers and added the Best Kid Ever in Mossy Meadow. Simple but yet fun for a younger boy. I hope you enjoyed today's cards. Thanks Tonya

July Color Challenge

Color Challenge time and this month the colors were perfect for a patriotic card but I didn't go that route but instead made a boy's birthday card with the new Boys will be Boys Stamp Set. I used the three colors from the challenge and added just a bit of Daffodil Delight for the one lego. My Big Shot is a favorite tool and I used the Large Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the Zig Zag Embossing folder. The Large Polka dots give the Pacific Point and Real Red pieces a Lego look. I cut out two circles with the Circle Framelits and used the Banner Framelits to cut out the Happy Birthday. The card is fairly simple but perfect for a little boys. Birthday Celebration!

Hello and welcome to my Birthday Card post for the SSINKspiration Design Team. I decided to use an older set because I really wanted to use the Blendablities and what better set to color than the Apothecary Art Stamp Set. I have used this set so many times and I never tire of it. The color combo I used is Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, and a Flesh Tone to color with. Now remember when you purchase the Daffodil Delight for example you will receive three markers of various shade so it makes for super easy coloring. I used a background of Basic Black with embossing and then a layer of Whisper White before I added the base of Daffodil Delight. I used the Spiral Flower Die to make a rose to add to the card and then added a few leaves to give it a little extra finish.
