Chevron Ribbon Fun!

Hello! I have been absent this week due to a busy schedule but I could resist playing with our Ribbon Card Day on our SS INKspiration Blog. I decided to get creative with the Chevron Punch and the Whisper White 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and the Soft Sky 1/2" Seam Binding. After punched out two Chevron Strips I wove the ribbon through to make my pattern then adhered it to a bigger piece of Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock before adding the Soft Sky Frame. The frame was made with Square Framelits. I used a Cherry Cobbler Card Stock base and the sentiment is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set and was stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with Cherry Cobbler Ink and punched out with the Large Oval Punch. I added Soft Suede Candy Dots to the sentiment and this square card is ready to send. Don't forget to stop by and see the other cards by all the other great designers. You won't be disappointed. Bridal Shower Invite

Glitter, glitter everywhere

Today's post is my individual post for our SS INKspiration post and I am sharing with you the Glitter Embossing Technique that Stampin'Up! recently featured. It is super easy and fun to do. All you do is mix Embossing Powder with Glitter. I used four different combos. More info can be found on our blog but I will add the combos below and please let me know if you have any questions. Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome to our Wednesday Christmas Card post. I recently made this card with leftover supplies from my Christmas Card Class. I did add the Merry from the the Expressions Thinlits Dies. I used Silver Card Stock and love the shimmer that is adds to the card. I also added a Frosted Finishes Embellishment. The other supplies are Smoky Slate Card Stock, Island Indigo Card Stock, Coastal Cabana Card Stock, Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stock, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Northern Flurry Embossing Folder, and Basic Rhinestones. Num-Num Halloween Treats

Hello and welcome to our candy treat container post. I decided to participate a little later but I am glad I did because I really like how this treat bag and tag turned out. The supplies are quite easy but there is a variety of Framelits. The bag is made from a Tag A Bag Gift Bag. Now you might be wondering how it is standing up when the gift bags aren't flat on the bottom. Well I used our Simply Scored Scoring Tool and scored the sides and bottom one inch from the edge. I then used the new score lines as my bag, folding the bottom triangles in at a point and securing with Sticky Strip. It is similar to a Bag-a-lope that I have seen made for many years. Then I just need to make my tag. I used two stamp sets both from the Holiday Catalog. The skull is from the Toil & Trouble Stamp Set and I heat embossed it with Black Embossing Powder with just a bit of Black Glitter on Pumpkin Pie Card Stock. I will have more on this technique next week on my Thursday blog post. The skull was cut out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits and I added two Basic Rhinestones for the eyes. The Num-Num is from the Oh, Goodie Stamp Set and was inked with our Basic Black Stampin Write Marker and Stamped on Whisper White Card Stock. I used the Bitty Banners Framelits to cut it out before adding it to the tag. The Tag which is Basic Black Card Stock was cut out with the Chalk Talk Framelit set and then embossed with the Argyle Embossing folder which is on sale through Monday. I added the Basic Black Chevron Ribbon to hold the bag closed as well as hold the tag on. The bag is pretty good sized so I can add a lot of candy to it for a few special kids. Happy Fall

Hello and happy Fall! It definitely feels like Fall with the color temperatures and the lack of sun. Today I have a card for you that I did several weeks ago but just kept forgetting to share. Life has been busy with lots of stamping and other projects kept pushing this one back. So today I finally get to share. The stamp set is one I have been using quite a bit lately as the leaves are from the Gently Falling Stamp Set and the sentiment is from the Hello, Lovely Stamp Set. The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Crushed Curry, Baked Brown Sugar and Pumpkin Pie. I used the Baby Wipe Technique to stamp the leaves. This is a great easy technique that will give you different results each time you stamp. After I stamped the solid image of the leaves I went back with the outline and stamped again over each leaf with the Baked Brown Sugar to really accent each leaf and make it pop. The base of the card was but with the Adorning Accents Edgelits to give the card just a bit of a special touch and I added the 7/8" Natural Cotton Ribbon. I love how well this ribbon ties and you can do so much with it, including stamping on it.  If you need more information on the Baby Wipe Technique please leave me a comment and I will get back to you. Wonderful Christmas Card

Hello! I am excited to share with you a new Christmas card that uses the Deco Label Framelits and the Single Stamp Prince of Peace. This was a must have stamp for me when I first saw it and I am thrilled that the Deco Label Framelits are now on sale so you can get both and be ready to make your Christmas Cards. The colors on the card a Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, and Whisper White. The Designer Series Paper is from the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack. I used the Square Lattice Embossing Folder on the Cherry Cobbler. The star is from the Circle Thinlits Die Card Set. I added a Vintage Glass Button with some Whisper White Baker's Twine to finish it off. I did stamp the Prince of Peace Stamp twice once with Cherry Cobbler and again with Early Espresso. The Early Espresso was stamped on Crumb Cake Card Stock then cut out and added on the first image. It really makes those words stand out. Peace on Earth Christmas Card

Good morning and welcome! Today I have a Christmas card for you that uses one of the new single stamps. The Wonderful Blessing Stamp is only $8.95 and makes a great focal point for your Christmas Card. I kept my color scheme to blues and used Midnight Muse and Marina Mist with Whisper White. The circle on this card was cut out with the Circle Framelits The Whisper White background has been textured with the new Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Marina Mist piece behind the Peace On Earth Stamp was cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits and then the Large Pearls were added to the sides after the Midnight Muse 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon was added through the label. October Card Sketch

Hello and I am glad you stopped by for our Card Sketch Monday. I made this card a while back and I took just a bit of liberty with the sketch. I made this card with the Toil & Trouble Stamp Set and the Witches' Brew Designer series Paper and Washi Tape. The colors are Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black and Very Vanilla Card Stock. I used the Apothecary Accent Framelits to cut out both of the main images. The skeleton was stamp set with Whisper White Craft Ink and the sentiments stamp is inked with the Jet Black Stazon. The base of the card is textured with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder and then sponged with the Basic Gray Ink Pad. For just a bit of bling I added the 5/8" Crochet Trim Victoria Ribbon and the Pumpkin Pie 3/8" Glimmer Brad.

Quick and Cute

Hello and welcome to my bonus Saturday card. I don't normally post on the weekends but today several of us from the SS INKspiration Design Team are sharing projects that use the Weekly Specials. My card is a quick and easy 3 x3 card that I can add to a package and I made a coordinating Envelope with our Envelope Board. I used the This & That Everyday Epic Designer Series Paper for the envelope and the background of the card. I pulled colors from the paper and used Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Very Vanilla and Gumball Green Card Stock. The circles are made with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch and the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I used a couple stamp sets the Teeny Tiny Wishes and the A Fitting Occasion. I used the Basic Gray Stamp pad to ink the stamps up and used a couple of more punches including the Word Window and the Cute Petite Curly Label Punch which is currently on sale. The Chevron Embossing folder is also currently on sale and is used on the Gumball Green Circle. You can order all of the supplies to make this card from your Stampin'UP! demonstrator.
