Good morning, I am working on some retiring stamp set projects for later in the week but while you wait I thought I would share a few more swaps that I have received that are retiring. I don't know who made either of these as there are no names but if you made either please let me know and I will add your name. Both use the Elements of Style Stamp Set. I really like this set and have had so much fun colors it and doing different techniques with it. I have used it on tile and cards and scrapbook pages. It really is a great set. The first card uses a fun technique that I haven't tried. The main panel is stamped with the image that has been colored with markers then cut apart, sponged and reassembled to make it look like an amazing tile wall. There is a some shimmer added with Shimmer Paint (which is retiring also) and then the sentiment is added. The base color is Soft Suede with Very Vanilla.

Artistic Etchings Going, Going
Good morning, I thought I would feature a few stamp sets that will soon be retiring. I have taken my display board down and am going to share with you a few cards that I have received as swaps through the years. If I know who made the card I will be sure and tell you. The first set featured is Artistic Etchings. I have this set and have used it quite a bit including on Convention Swaps.
This card was made by Susan Rodgers. The supplies she used were again the Artistic Etchings Stamp Set Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, Early Espresso, Whisper White and Baja Breeze (retiring) Card Stock, Early Espresso and Baja Breeze Ink and then just a bit of Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon.
The background stamp she used is retired and then she added texture with the Square Lattice Folder. Both cards are very pretty and show case the stamp set well. If you haven't ordered this set please let me know and we can get an order ready for you.
Thanks for stopping by today. I am working on some new cards today for you using more retiring Stamp Sets, Card Stock and Designer Series Paper. Have a great day! Tonya

April's Paper Pumpkin
As I mentioned on Friday, my Paper Pumpkin kit came on and I quickly put the following four cards together. This month we received the Seriously Stamp and the "You kick booty" and "Love your guts" stamps. The ink spot we received as Cherry Cobbler and then the rest of the contents for the cards. Adhesive is not included but a lot of the items were self adhesive and the cards went togther really quickly. The first two cards are shown as they were intented to be made but the second two I changed up the layout just a bit and added different sentiments.
The "spoil yourself today" is from the Bring on the Cake Stamp Set and is one of my favorite sets because if covers so many birthday sentiments. I use this set a lot.
The "hang in there" is from the From My Heart Stamp Set and is another great sentiment set that I really should use more often. The orginal sentiments in this set are kind of edgy but I think they will be perfect for my kids to use and since the card stock is neutral then both my daughter and my sons can give them. If you would like to receive your own Paper Pumpkin then just simply follow the link below to my Paper Pumpkin site and it will take you through the steps. Then send me a quick comment and let me know you joined. Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day! Tonya

My Paper Pumpkin Is Here!
I am super excited to share with you today, but I am going to wait as I want everyone to share the surprise as they get to open their Paper Pumpkin. I got mine in the mail yesterday and I have all ready made all four cards (with a few changes here and there) and they are ready to be mailed or given to a special person. If you haven't signed up for My Paper Pumpkin I encourage you to take a moment and look it over. It isn't for everyone but if you have limited time to stamp or are just getting started then it is a wonderful opportunity to you. I will be sharing my cards on Monday so if you haven't received your Paper Pumpkin Kit by then then you might want to wait and check back after you do. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Swallowtail Butterfly
Hello and welcome back. I took a few days off from blogging but not from creating. I have two cards to share with you today and while they are both similar I wanted to show you just how you can change a few things like color and sentiment and make the card look new and different. The stamp set that I started with is the Swallowtail Stamp that is in the Spring Catalog. I wasn't going to get this stamp when I first saw it then over time and with the help of my fellow demonstrators showing off their samples I decided I would add it to my collection. I am really glad that I did. As you can see by the cards this is a big stamp. The sentiments are from Bring on the Cake and Wonderful Mother. Let's start with the Mother's Day Card. I used Pool Party and Island Indigo for my colors with Whisper White of course. I inked up the Swallowtail with my Versamark Pad and then added the Pool Party Embossing Powder. I used a Sponge to add Island Indigo Ink over the top of the Swallowtail (I will use a Sponge Dauber next time for better control) to make it really stand out and pop. The sentiment was also stamped with the Island Indigo Pad and then punched out with the Large Oval Punch and backed with a Scallop Oval Punch. I added just a bit of Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon that I added a knot to and the card is finished.
The second card I decided to change up the colors a bit and went with Sahara Sand for the base with Pretty In Pink (Retiring soon) and Melon Mambo. I decided to use my Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad to see if the shimmer in it would show through the embossing. I didn't really notice a difference but after I embossed the Swallowtail with the Melon Mambo Embossing Powder I did sponge the image with the Illuminate Pad again to give all the areas not embossed a shimmery effect. I added the sentiment which was also embossed and flagged the end. I wanted just a bit of accent so I punched out Pretty In Pink flowers using the Boho Blossoms Punch and added a Large Pearl Basic Jewel to the top after I stacked the three sizes. Well, that is it for today. I hope you enjoyed the Swallowtail Stamp and if you want to order yours don't wait. Call me today or you can order online. I am going to play with this stamp some more as I still have a few ideas for cards but for now have a great day and thanks for stopping by. Tonya

A Round Array Blossoms
Hello! I am back with a card to share with you! I made this card last week but with the rainy, cloudy weather I have had a terrible time getting a photo of it. Well, today I finally succeeded. The colors are Baja Breeze (retiring), Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, and Old Olive. I used the A Round Array Stamp Set and paired with the the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch to create the center of my flower. The flower uses the Blossom Punch, the 1" Circle Punch and the Blossom Petals Builder. For texture I added Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder to the Baja Breeze Card Stock. The designer paper is from the Summer Smooches series. I added just a bit of Whisper White 1/4" Stitched Ribbon as an extra accent and the card is finished. This is one of the cards that we will be doing at the A Round Array Class. If you can't make the class but have/are purchasing the bundle I will be happy to get you the card kit for the $8. Just let me know what works best for you. Thanks and have a great day! Tonya

New Wood Mount Stamp Cases
Birthday Cross Word
Good morning, another dreary day here with the temperature back down in the 30's. Looks like another day to stay inside and stamp. Today I have the final card we made this week for Stamp Time. I have had the Cross My Heart Stamp Set since the Spring Catalog came out but have failed to ink it up until just recently. I think some stamp sets lend themselves to smaller cards and this is one of those. I started with a 3 1/2" base and went from there. The colors are Regal Rose (retiring), Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White and just a touch of Chocolate Chip. Oh, and just a smig of Daffodil Delight on the candle tip. I inked up and stamped the main image three times, then cut out letters from the Regal Rose and Tempting Turquoise to accent the main image which was also cut out after stamping. The cupcake which is included in the set was ink up with the Stampin' Write Markers and then punched out with teh 1" Circle Punch and layered on the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch. My Whisper White background was looking a bit boring so I added a little texture with the Argyle Embossing Folder. The final touches were Dazzling Diamonds added to the cupcake and 1/8" Regal Rose Taffeta Ribbon that I knotted on the side of the card. Now I have a perfect little card to send to a special birthday girl. Remember all items are from Stampin'Up! and can be purchased from me. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Tonya

April Showers Bring Flowers...
Good afternoon, it is a rainy day here in Missouri and since you can't be outside I am taking advantage of the rain and working on projects inside like new cards to share with you. I did this card earlier in the week for yesterday's Stamp Time and it features a set that will be in an upcoming class. The A Round Array Stamp Set and 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch are a current bundle that you can buy. They will also be available in the new catalog but why wait when you can start making cards like this one now. I used a couple of retiring items on this card. The colors are Baja Breeze (retiring), More Mustard (retiring) and Cherry Cobbler. If you need any of the retiring items please place your order today as items are selling out. I used the Cloudy Day Embossing Folder and sponged the clouds just a bit with a Sponge and White Craft Ink. The Cherry Cobbler Scallop Square is made with the Big Shot and the Duo Scallop Square Die. I added the Polka Dot Scallop Ribbon in More Mustard but used the solid side. The Flowers are stamped in the three colors then punched out as is the sentiment which is You Make Me Smile. I popped the sentiment up on a 1" Circle of More Mustard Card Stock and added it to the corner like a sun. The leaves on the flowers is made with the Ormanent Punch that comes in the Merry Minis Punch Pack which is a carry over item from the Holiday Mini. All I did after punch the ornament out is to trim off the top of the ornament with the Paper Snips. The leaves and stems are Old Olive Card Stock. If you would like to make this card let me know and I will sign you up for the upcoming A Round Array Class. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Color Refresh
Good morning, I have lots to share with you. First my blog hop post is below this one. Please scroll down and take a look. I am thrilled to have had some time to stamp and that I can share it with you. Stampin'Up! has announced a color refresh. We had one three years ago but as you know trends change and they have decided to refresh our color families. I have posted the list above. What this means for you is new colors (or the return of some favorite incolors) but the retiring colors are available only while supplies last. So ribbon, card stock, reinkers (which tend to go fast), markers and such. I do have good news for you though April 6-8 Stampin'Up! is offering free shipping on all your orders. Yep, everything so it is a great time to order the retiring color items and save! Please contact me if you have any questions or to place an order. I will be featuring the retiring colors in the weeks to come so please watch for those. In fact I used Pretty In Pink and Regal Rose in my Blog Hop post today. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya
April Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to another month of the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop. This month our theme is Wedding and Anniversary. Wedding season is almost here and it is always nice to have a supply ready for all the weddings you get invited too. I started with a wedding card today then added a bonus anniversary card. Before I get into the cards if you are just joining the hop you can continue on from here and make the rounds and if you are hopping over from Nancy's Blog welcome.
My first project is a card for a wedding. I recently received my Best of Flowers Stamp Set and had yet to ink it up so it was my go to set for my projects. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I used Basic Gray Card Stock for my base and added texture with the Big Shot and the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I stamped my hydrenga image with Basic Gray ink and then colored it with a combo of Blender Pen, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Old Olive and Always Artichoke Ink Pads. I want to add that as of this morning both Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose are on the retiring color list. I cut the image out with the Big Shot and the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies. After stamping the sentiment I cut it out with the largest banner from the Bitty Banners Framelits. I layered in on a Tea Lace Paper Doily that was sponged with Rose Red Ink. I bought the 1 1/4" Pink Pirouette/ Rose Red Two-Tone Ribbon a while back and bad me I hadn't used it on a project but I love the elegant look it adds to this card. Of course you need a good pair of scissors to cut the angles in the bottom and the Craft Scissors are perfect for the job. Now I just need a wedding and the card is ready to go.
My second project is similar to the above one just because I had orginally wanted to use the rose image from the Best of Flowers Set but it was smaller than I liked but I didn't want it to go to waste so I created a anniversary card to go with a gift or bag. I used Daffodil Delight, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Old Olive and Always Artichoke to color again with the Blender Pen. I used the 2 1/2" Circle Punch to punch out the image and layered in on a Daffodil Delight Card Stock Doily that was made with the Delicate Doilies Sizzlit and the Big Shot. The sentiment is again from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and was stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with Basic Gray Ink. I used the Word Window Punch and then layered it on Old Olive Card Stock that has been punched out with the Modern Label Punch. I added a few pearls to the side for extra accent. The card is only 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and is Basic Gray. I used the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and then used the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stamp' Pad to add a little shimmer and pearl like affect to the Basic Gray Card Stock. I realized after I took the picture that my sentiment is a bit off but that has been fixed now. ;-)
I hope you enjoyed today's cards and that you have been inspired to create. Next you will be off to Dawn's Blog and I am sure she has great projects in store for you. Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment so I know that you were here. Have a great day! Tonya
