Happy Birthday Quilt
Good morning! We have yet another snow day for the kids. At this rate they will be in school until June. Oh, well better to be safe than sorry and since it is still snowing home is fine by me. Today I have a fun Birthday card that I decided to make last week after all of our other cards were made. I love the Quilt idea and I had just used the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper on this All Dressed UP card. So it seemed like a good combo for this Birthday Card. The stamp set is from the Best of Birthdays Stamp Set that is part of the 25th Anniversary Collection. I used a card base of Basic Gray and added some texture with the Sqaure Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The quilt panel was made much like yesterday's in that I started with a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and 1" Square Punch. Since I was setting my square on an angle I scored a light line down the center of the card stock so help me line up my squares. After I attached the squares I ran the panel through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I added Island Indigo Card Stock that had been punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch along both the top and bottom of the panel and attached some scrunched Baja Breeze Seam Binding before attaching it to the front of my card. The sentiment was stamped twice once with Basic Gray and once with Island Indigo. I punced out the Basic Gray sentiment with the Extra Large Oval Punch and hand cut out the Birthday to add with Dimensionals to the Basic Gray. I added it to the card with more Dimensionals then added the cute little dyed flower from the 5/8" Flower Trim. Now I just need to Birthday person to send it to. Since we are home bound today I am hoping to start on my Blog Hop projects to next week. It would be nice to be a head of schedule instead of rushing all the time. Maybe these last few snow days have been our catch up time and our chance to slow down for a while. I hope you are warm and dry where ever you are. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Vintage Print Quilt
Happy Tuesday! I will be back later with another post that includes today's new Digital Downloads. There are two free downloads today so be sure and check back to see those. While I watch the snow pile up outside I wanted to share with you this card we made last week. I haven't used the Quilting Technique lately and I decied to share it with the ladies that came last week. This is a great technique to use up smaller pieces of Designer paper. For this card we used the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack. I love the colors in it which are Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Primrose Petal and Gumball Green. The base of the card is Crumb Cake and the frame is Primrose Petal. For the sentiment we used the Vintage Verses Stamp Set which is a Sale-a-bration option andn stamped it in Early Espresso. To make the quilt we simply punched out 1" Squares with the 1" Square Punch and attached them to a piece of 4x4" piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock. To make the piece look more quilted we ran it through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Folder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. We added Crumb Cake Seam Binding to finish off the quilt before attaching it to the card front. This technique works great on all types of cards depending of the Designer Paper you use and with our punches you can do so many different patterns and designs. I am going to share another quilt card with you tomorrow that was inspired by a couple of my recent projects. Thanks for stopping by. Please let me know if you would like to make your own quilt card and I will be happy to help you get the supplies or we can schedule a workshop and I can show you and your guests how to make one.. Stay warm! Tonya

Icing on the Cake
Good morning, it is Monday and the kids are back in school although for how long will depend on the storm we have moving in today and tomorrow. Today I have a Sale-a-bration card to share with you. It was one we did last week during our Stamp Day. I just love to get together with the ladies and stamp. It keeps me motivated to create and learn new things to share with them and you. The colors I used are Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Summer Starfruit, Pool Party and Sahara Sand. The stamp set is part of the Best of Collection and is Best of Birthdays. I used markers to color the image in after it was stamped with Basic Gray Ink. The button is a Sale-a-bration option as is the Designer Series Paper. We used Island Indigo Baker's Twine to attach the button. There are several punch sizes used including the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle, 1 3/4 Circle, 1 3/8" Circle and the 1" Circle. The texture on the card is made with the Chevron Impressions Embossing Folder and the Argyle Impressions Embossing Folder. I added the Stripes on the 1" Circle by stamping it with the banner from the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set. I am going to keep this short today. I have lots to do including taking my little guy back to the doctor and of course grap a few groceries before the next winter storm hits. Give me a call if you would like to place an order and since the weather is so yucky right now remember you can always host a catalog party and have your friends order online with our new workshop option. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Tonya

Happy Anniversary
I was looking through my blog posts and realized I didn't show you this Anniversary card yet. I made it last month and it uses several items that are available in the Spring Catalog. I used the Heart Framelits and made the card with the Scallop Heart. I folded a piece of card stock in half and put the folded edge before the top of the heart so that I had a card base. I then layered the Real Red Scalloped Heart onto the base. The hearts paper is from the More Amore Designer Series Paper and the hearts are cut out with Pool Party and the Hearts a Flutter Framelits. The texture folders that I used were Perfect Polka Dots Texture Impressions Embossing folder, Woodgrain Texture Impressions Embossing Folders and the Houndstooth Texture Impressions Embossing Folders. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and I punched it out with the Word Window Punch. I love that our Oval, Hearts and Labels Framelits come in a variety of sizes. It makes for easy layering and for projects such as this one where I used three different heart sizes.
We have a snow day for tomorrow so I am hoping to get a lot of stamping in and maybe a movie with my kids. Hope you can stay inside tomorrow too and enjoy a day at home. If you do have to get out please be safe. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

All Dressed UP!
Hello! I will admit that when the Spring Catalog came out I had no plans to order the All Dressed Up collection. I just didn't think I would need it... fast forward a month and I decided after seeing so many wonderful samples that I was wrong and I did "need" it. So I purchased the Dress Up Framelits and I love them! I have only made the one card so far but I see a lot more in my future. They are so easy to use and there are so many possible ways to make them your own. For this card I used Basic Gray Card Stock for my base and for my dress stand. The background paper and the dress are both Designer Paper from the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper. Behind the dress is Cherry Cobbler Card Stock cut with an oval from the Oval Framelits Dies Collection and then embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder. For embellishments I used both Baja Breeze Seam Binding and an Ivory 5/8" Flower Trim that I used both the Baja Breeze and Island Indigo Ink Pad and an Aquapainter to color. I also added a few Basic Rhinestones. The sentiment is from the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit that was stamped using Basic Gray ink on Whisper White Card Stock and then punched out with the Large Oval Punch and layered with a Island Indigo Scallop Oval Punch. I added the sentiment and the dress with Dimensionals. We will be making a card similar to this on Tuesday at my Stamp Time. You can attend the class at either 1pm or 7pm. Please just let me know which you prefer. Thanks for stopping by today and as always please let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy your day! Tonya

Happy Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day and Thanks for stopping by! I am busy today preparing a Valentine's
Day Dinner for my family that has me making a heart shape cakes per my youngest son's request sort of a deal I made with him and he held up his end of the bargain so so am I. :-) Tuesday I had a class at our local library and this is one of the items we made. I just love the Candy Wrapper Die and since is cuts and scores all at once it really makes life easy. In addition we used the new More Amore Speciality Designer Series Paper to wrap around the container. The heart is made with the Primrose Petals Core'dinations Card Stock and was cut out with the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits and then sanded. A Basic Gray banner was made with the Big Shot and Bitty Banners Framelits which goes great with the Word Window Punch and the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. So add just a few extra details to the candy wrapper we added Very Vanilla Seam Binding on each end to close our wrapper and one of the new Vanilla 5/8" Flower Trim Flowers was added. I love these little flowers and will have a card to share with you tomorrow that has a flower that I colored with our Aquapainter and Stamp Pads. Funny story, while I was handing the flowers out at the library I managed to drop one in a cup of coffee that belongs to an attendee. After I fished it out I joked about how we could die them with coffee which of course you could. There are a lot of possiblities for these cute little flowers and I hope we see them carry over after the Spring Catalog has ended.
Well, I am off to decorate a cake and a few cupcakes too. Have a wonderful day! Tonya

Valentine's Day Chalk Board
Happy Wednesday! Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I will be mailing this card are soon. It is actually one that we made a Shirlene's Workshop a few weeks ago. She had requested Valentine's and I was happy to help her with that. The card features the new Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set and matching framelits. The colors are Primrose Petal, Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red and Pool Party. The ink colors are the same and I added Whisper White Craft ink to make the chalk board effect on the Basic Black card stock. The sentiment is from the Wacky Wishes Stamp Set and is available for anyone that host a workshop. Did you know that Sale-a-bration is a great time to host? I will tell you more about why in a bit. Other supplies include the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and the Bitty Banners Framelits (which is a Sale-a-bration option), Pool Party Baker's Twine, and the Bitty Buttons. Just use a few dimensionals and your card is ready to go. The inside is also decorated with hearts on the Whisper White Card Stock that I added inside but I forgot to get a picture of it. :-(
Now back to why it is a great time to host a workshop. Usually for a $400 workshop you would receive $65 worth of free merchandise and one other item at half price (which is great) but during Sale-a-bration you would get those items plus a package of Silver Glimmer Paper and the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper,, Madison Avenue Stamp Set in either Clear or wood mount, and the Sycamore Street Ribbon And Button Pack. Wow that is a lot of free products just for having a few friends and family over for a fun evening/afternoon of stamping. Contact me if you want the opportunity to have fun and earn free items.
Well, I must get busy. My boys decided on the way to school today that they want to make Valentine's day treats for their friends so I need to get busy cutting out boxes. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Stylin' Stampin' Squad February Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to another addition of our blog hop. If you just joined us then don't worry you can travel onto the other blogs just by following the links at the bottom of my post. I really look forward to seeing what everyone has to share each month and this month is extra exciting as we are featuring our fabric. I love to sew and our fabric has added an extra dimension to my projects. Today I have two projects to share with you with the first being a Valentine's day card. The supplies I used are Real Red Card Stock and Ink, You are loved Stamp Set, Crumb Cake Card Stock, Basic Black Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Basic Black Dotted Scallop Ribbon, Large Oval Punch and Scallop Oval Punch, More Amore Designer Series Fabric, Basic Rhinestones, Illiminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad, Argyle Embossing Folder, Hearts Collection Framelits, Adorning Accents Folder and to cut the fabric I used the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die. I attached the fabric to the card with Sticky Strip. Now to move onto the next project I have to share with you. I started this next project at 8:30 last night and it went together fairly quickly.
I have been wanting to make a new purse but didn't want the traditional Rag Purse that I have made before so I decided to make it a little more traditional and add a lining inside. I used the Scallop Square Bigz Clear die and the Tea for Two Designer Fabric. I love the colors in the Fabric they look so Spring like and I am ready to Spring. After I cut out the squares I sewed them together to create the outside of my bag. I added a simple strap and then made a liner the same way I did the outside only I used a printed off white fabric. Then I just sewed the two layers together and added a top stitching aroung the top of the bag. I think I will add stitching on the square but for now it is complete. It may get a flower to just for extra decoration if I have enough fabric leftover. I think this will make a perfect Bible Bag.
I hope you enjoyed today's fabric projects. Please leave us a comment as you go along the hop so we know that you were here. Now I will send you on your way to Dawn's Creative Chalet.
Thanks for stopping by and have great day, Tonya
