Happy Halloween!

Hello and Happy Halloween! No stamping related post at the moment but I did want to share my trick-or-treaters with you today. These are my three boys. They got to dress up on Friday for their school parties and wore their costumes all day. So for those of you that don't know my boys. The youngest is Jango Fett, the Oldest is the Werewolf and the middle son is the Hippie. His costume was so simple to put together and he loved being a hippie. My oldest did not dress up this year since she is now in High School. Well, I am off to do a few things before the Trick-or-Treaters show up. I hope you have a safe and fun Halloween! Be sure and stop by tomorrow for more stamping projects or perhaps it will be sewing that I showcase tomorrow. I guess you will just have to stop by to see. ;) 'Til tomorrow, Tonya

Peace on Earth Redo

Good evening! Super quick post before I head to bed. This is one of the cards we did for the Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. I just altered my previous Peace on Earth card by adding a base of Cherry Cobbler and adding the Dove, but since it is cut out the ladies did not prefer this card to much. They made them but the would rather have not cut the dove out. My next Stamp-a-Stack I probably will not include this card but who knows I might change my mind. ;) I did add the Shimmer Mist to the base because I just love the shimmer and sparkle that is adds to the cards. Watch out those of you on our family Christmas Card list I will probably send out shimmery cards this year. Well, I am off for the night. Tomorrow I will be back with a sewing project. Need to take the pictures first and get them uploaded. Have a great evening and thanks for stopping by, Tonya

My Digital Studio Journal!

Hello! I am loving the new items that are available with the free update for My Digital Studio. I made this journal for my daughter to write about her first year of high school. Now I just need to get it printed. The journal was actually already designed but I didn't care for the Old Olive background so with a few quick clicks I changed it to Rich Razzleberry then I changed a few more element colors. I decided it looked a little plan so I added the picture from her first day and added the Pretty in Pink Photo Corners. I also added the school year to the bottom so that she would always remember what year journal it is. The journal has 80 double sided lined pages so she has plenty of space to write or add pictures from the year. I can't wait to order it so I can give it to her. Do you have My Digital Studio? Have you added the new update yet? If not I recommend you do so today, you really don't know what you are missing. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to share more My Digital Studio projects with you in the future. Have a great one, Tonya

Snow flakes and Faux Mother of Pearl

Hello, I have been super busy making cards and I have several ideas floating around in my head but not enough time to make them all happen but I will try so be patient with me please. :) One of the techniques that I was asked to show at a recent workshop was Faux Mother Of Pear. You may remember that this is a technique that I learned about from a swap card at Convention this year. Well, since I am working on showcasing Christmas Cards I thought I should update my card sample and make a Christmas Card. I played around with several ideas before settling on this one. There is a little glare on the first card but I think you can see the detail okay. I used a base of Bashful Blue Card Stock and did a little sponging on the edges with Bashful Blue Classic Ink, then Marina Mist Classic Ink on the very edge just to give the Card Stock some depth. The center panel is the Faux Mother of Pearl and I used the Platinum Shimmer Paint on Glossy White Card Stock after the Shimmer Paint dried I sponged Bashful Blue Classic Ink over the card stock. I then used Versamark and White Embossing Powder to heat emboss the snowflakes from Serene Snowflakes. A little more sponging with Marina Mist this time over the snowflakes and then a Aquapainter and the Not Quite Navy Classic Ink Pad to color in the details of the Snowflakes and the panel was complete. To finish it off I used Whisper White Card Stock that was punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch down both sides of the panel. Marina Mist 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon and Clear Tinsel were used around the panel and the Noel was stamped with Not Quite Navy Classic Ink and punched out with the 1 3/8"x 5/8" Oval Punch. The Noel is from the Many Merry Messages. Definitely a Christmas Sentiment Set to have. Now I have two picture here because after making the card I couldn't decide if I like it horizontal or vertical. Which to you prefer? Leave me a comment and let me know. Well, that is it for today. I am so glad that you stopped by! I hope you have a great day, Tonya

Thanksgiving Pumpkin

Hello, I had every intention of posting a card for you yesterday but time just got away from me preparing for Carla's workshop. I will post those cards another day but for today I wanted to share the last club project from this month. I had decided to use the Paisley Prints Stamp Set and the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. I showed you the Christmas Card we made but you can also make Thanksgiving cards too! The layout is just like the one we made at Convention with a few changes. The base of the card is Old Olive and we began by stamping the leaf in Old Olive Classic Ink over the bottom of the card. Then we ran the card through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Then we moved on to the top of the card. On Whisper White Card Stock you stamp the pumpkin that has been inked up with the Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Markers. We used the Early Espresso Classic Stamp Pad to stamp the Happy Thanksgiving next to the pumpkin. Then to finish off the card we added Sticky Strip along the bottom of the Whisper White Card Stock the scrunched and pleated the 5/8" Pumpkin Pie Ribbon. The ends were secured on the back of the Whisper White Card Stock before it was attached to the front of the card. On the inside we added a Whisper White Top Note cut out and stamped a few leaves that we inked with Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze Classic Stamp Pads with the Rock-n-Roll technique. I forgot to take a picture of the inside but I will try and remember to do that and add the picture later.
So tomorrow it will be back to Christmas cards again as that is what I have been doing the most of recently. I hope to start a few new 3D Projects soon and may have a My Digital Studio Post coming up very soon too. Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions or would like to order the supplies for this or any of my cards contact me and I will get you started. Have a great day, Tonya

Blue Christmas

Good morning, it's Friday again and the week has flown by. Today the boys are home from school and K has a short day so life is a little crazier than usual and we have shopping planned for this afternoon, but before I headed off to do that I wanted to share with you another card from this past weekend's Stamp a Stack. I really like how this card turned out and may make some for our family Christmas Card but who knows I may change my mind again before next month. ;) This card uses a three stamp sets but you could just use two. I used Tags Til Christmas (which is in one of the Holiday Bundles currently available), Delightful Decorations and Four the Holidays. The card is a standard 4 1/4 x 11 but after folding it in half you fold the front in half again then use the Big Shot and the Movers and Shapers Dies to cut out half of the Ornament. Then you can layer an Ornament that has been punched out with the Ornament Punch in the cut out area like I did with the Bashful Blue Ornament. The front panel has also had some texture added with the Big Shot and the Perfect Details Texture Plate. The ink colors that I used are Bashful Blue and Night of Navy Classic Ink. The only card stock you need is Whisper White and Night Of Navy. There are Pearl Jewels and Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon also on the card. To add a little extra detail the Whisper White Panel inside the card was punched along the outside edge with the Scallop Trim Border. If you would like to make this card for your Christmas card just give me a call and I will help you place your order. There are so many color combos this card could be done in like Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake or Old Olive and Real Red. Hmm, maybe I will give one of those and try and see which I like best. Well, I am off to prepare for tomorrow night's workshop. If you would like to get some friends together for a fun evening of stamping give me a call. I will provide all the supplies if you provide the friends and a light snack.
Have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by, Tonya

Paisley Print Stamp A Stack

Hello! I am back again today with another Card from my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. This card was done by the girls with my daughter but I think I will add it to my class in November. Still deciding though so it could change. Today's card once again uses the Paisley Prints Stamp Set that is in the Holiday Mini. The base of the card is my new favorite Christmas color, Cherry Cobbler. The designer series paper is Jolly Holiday. I also used the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set for the sentiment which was punched out with the Word Window Punch. Love that punch! There is a little Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon on the tag which also has Very Vanilla Card Stock and Old Olive Card Stock. The only stamp pad used was the Old Olive Classic Pad which makes this a easy card to duplicate. I of course had to use the Big Shot so I pulled out my new Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die and created the center scallop trim with Very Vanilla Card Stock. It reminds me of snow on a roof top which may just lead to another project. :) Well, that is all for today's card. If you have any questions please let me know.
Also Stampin'Up! has reduced the price of printing your MDS projects. If you are interested in seeing the new prices let me know. Well, I am off for today. Hope you have a great day! Tonya

Noel Christmas Card

Good morning. Well it is Monday again and time for another Christmas Card. This weekend I had a wonderful time stamping with a group of ladies while my daughter stamped with their daughters. This is one of the cards that the girls made. I cased the layout from last year's catalog and used a little nontraditional colors. The girls tend to like the brighter colors so I used Poppy Parade, Early Espresso, Garden Green and Baja Breeze. They also used Whisper White. The Poppy Parade base was ran through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to great all those wonderful polka dots. There were three punches used: the Snowflake punch, the Scallop Edge Border and the 3/16" Corner Punch. The stamp set is Big on Christmas. I have used this stamp set so many time over the last few year. It is a great set to have. Blender Pens were used to color in the image with the Classic Ink Pads and to finish off the card a little Clear Tinsel Trim that can be found in the Holiday Mini. Would you like to make this card to your Christmas Card? All the supplies can be ordered through me and I will provide you with dimensions so that all you have to do is stamp, color and assemble. Well, I am off to run errands and prepare for the busy night of running ahead. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Paisley Christmas

Good morning, I am busy preparing for tomorrow's Stamp A Stack for my friend Ronda and her church group. This is our second year doing this event and the daughters are getting in on the card making this year. My wonderful daughter will be doing the teaching for the daughters while I have the moms making cards with me. I just love sharing stamping with my kids! I will be sharing the cards we are making over the next few weeks but for now I wanted to share another club card with you. I really wanted to focus on the versatility of our stamp sets this month so I picked two stamp sets and made two different cards for different holidays. The sets we used were Paisley Prints (which is in the Holiday Mini) and Teeny Tiny Wishes (which is my go to sentiment set). Today's card is the Christmas Card. I love simple but nice Christmas cards. You know the ones that don't take hours to make for just one. :) This card fits and the Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper really helps make this card stand out. The base is Cherry Cobbler (my favorite new color) and then I used Very Vanilla Card Stock also. The tree was inked with the Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Markers and the Merry Christmas was inked with Cherry Cobbler and then punched out with the Word Window. The Word Window Punch works on almost all the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamps so it is a great punch to purchase if buying this set. Then to finish off the card I used Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon. Quick and fun to make! I am off to do more work on tomorrow's cards but remember all the supplies to make this card can be purchased through my website or by giving me a call. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend, Tonya

Halloween Treat for Club

Good morning, wow this has been a busy week! First I want to thank everyone that scheduled a workshop this week during Stampin'UP!'s Book-a-thon. We reached our goal of 5000 workshops booked during that day. Amazing! If you would still like to schedule a little craft time for you and your friends it is not to late. Simply give me a call and I will get you on my schedule. This week is Stamp Club week so I thought I would share one of the projects that we are doing. This is a treat container that I learned from my upline years ago and I did show it on my blog last Halloween but we had not made them at club before. The base is a 8"x4" sheet of Pumpkin Pie Card Stock. We used the Fang-tastic Stamp Set to decorate the container. The ribbon is 1/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon and the punches used were the Modern Label Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch and the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch. We used Blender Pens to color in the cute little Witch with Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink Pads and the Blush Blossom Stampin' Write Marker. The witch and the sentiment were stamped with Jet Black Stazon.
Just a reminder that time is running out to take advantage of the Clearance Items on our online store and also the FREE Craft Tote Special will be ending soon. Give me a call if you have any questions about these specials. Well, I have to run I am having lunch with my oldest son today for National School Lunch Week. I had lunch with my other boys on Tuesday and Wednesday. Have a great day and I will be back tomorrow with another new project. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

BOO!

Hello! It is Friday, I really look forward to the weekends with no school and it used to be a time to stay home and just spend time with the kids, but as our kids have gotten older and more involved in activities I find that it is a time to spend going from one activity to another. I still love it and am thrilled that I can see them do each activity. Tomorrow is baseball and cross country. Well, enough about my weekend. This week I wanted to make a Halloween Decoration and while I considered a banner (still might make one) I finally settled on these little boxes that can be set on a shelf or table. I used the Bitty Box & Envelope Bigz XL Die to cut out three boxes, one Cajun Craze Card Stock, one Old Olive Card Stock and one Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. I then added a little texture with the Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A little distressing to make the spider web pop and they boxes were ready. I decided to keep the other embellishments to a minimum just because I wanted the spider web to show. The boo was cut out with the Alphabet Simple Letters Bigz Dies with Basic Black Card Stock and the Black Waffle Paper. I do wish I had Black Glitter but I am out at the moment (need to remember to add it to my next order) to add a little extra sparkle. The bats were made with Basic Black Card Stock and the Bitty Bat Large Punch. They were attached to a thin wire with Mini Glue Dots then I simple put them in the corners of the boxes. The will fold up flat for easy storage and I can use them year after year. How fun it that! If you would like to make your own set of blocks give me a call and I can help you order your supplies. Well, I am off to pick up kids from school. Have a great weekend and I will be back on Monday. Tonya

Simple Shimmery Christmas Card

Good evening, I almost didn't get a chance to post today. My main computer that I do all my photo editing on has been giving me trouble and I haven't had a chance to edit photos or even upload photos, but it did let me do a little editing to this one and I will post it. It is a simple and yet elegant Christmas Card that I created using the Hostess Set Peaceful Season. This set was one that Stampin'Up! gave all the demonstrators that attending Convention and I haven't had a chance to ink it up much. This card has a lot of shimmer to it but it is hard to see in the photo. I used Whisper White Card Stock, Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink and Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Seam Binding. I also used the Petals-a-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and to make the card shimmery I mixed up Frost White Shimmer Paint with Rubbing Alcohol in a spray bottle. I then sprayed the base of the card for a very pretty shimmery effect. This is a great way to make your own Shimmer Mist and control the amount of shimmer you want. It dries really quickly because of the Alcohol base. This card would be so easy to make for your Christmas Cards and the supplies needed are really minimal. Give me a call if you would like to earn the Peaceful Seasons Stamp Set for free. Well, that's it for the night I am going to hope that I can post a Halloween Project tomorrow. The pictures are taken now if I can just upload and edit them. Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

Clearance Find!

Good morning! This week is going by to quickly and I still have a lot to accomplish before next week. I noticed yesterday while I was looking through the Clearance Items that Stampin'Up! had added to their online store that the Bags with Scallops Bigz XL Die was included. This die is a great one for making quick treat bags or boxes. I used this one quiet a bit last year and I thought I would pull it out and share another quick Halloween treat bag with you. I used just a few supplies including the Wicked Fun Specialty Paper, Sticky Strip, Rich Razzleberry Card Stock, 2 3/8" Scallop Punch and 1/2" Raven Lace Trim. I thought about added a stamped image to the front and I could still but decided for a quick and easy Halloween Treat why not just focus on the Designer Paper. The Lace is just tied around and is easy to slip off to get to the candy inside. If you want to purchase this Big Shot Die be sure and check out my online store. It is easy to make your purchase and the items will ship directly to your house. Remember the clearance items are only available while supplies last so don't put off placing your order. If you have any questions please give me a call. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Fall Pumpkins

Hello! I took a few days off over the weekend from posting but will be getting back into the routine of it this week. We had a busy weekend but most days are around our house. Today's project is super quick to make and make great decorations for a table or shelf. All you need is Card Stock and Designer Series Paper, a paper cutter, brads and for mine I used some brown packing paper that Stampin'Up! provides free every time I place an order. :) For the larger pumpkin I used Pumpkin Pie Designer Series Paper and cut six 1" x 6" strips. I stacked them all on top of each other and punched a hole in both ends. I placed a brad in each end then spread my strips apart to create the round shape. I took a small strip of Old Olive Card Stock and curled it by wrapping it around my Paper Piercing Tool. I attached it to the brad with a Mini Glue Dot then attached the Brown Paper Stem with a Mini Glue Dot also. The smaller pumpkin is made the same way except I used 3/4" x 4" Strips of Cajun Craze Designer Series Paper. You could use these all the way through Thanksgiving in all your fall displays.
Don't forget that time is running out to join my team of Demonstrators and get the FREE Craft Tote. Give me a call if you have any questions I would be more than happy to help you. Well, I am off to do some stamping. Have a great day and Thanks for stopping by, Tonya

One More Fabric Project

Good morning it is Friday and the boys have a short day at school. That means I have lots to do before they get home and the weekend begins. Today I thought I would share one more Fabric Project that I did this week. I will be back sharing fall projects soon I promise. It is just easier to stay on one project idea for a while and not get so many different supplies out. While I was making the tree coaster earlier this week I thought it would be fun to have another design to go with it. I collect snowmen so it was a easy choice for me. I cute the fabric just like I did for the tree and then I started on my snowman. I punched out a circle of card stock with the 1 3/8" and 1 3/4" Circle Punches. I used these as I guide to cut out my snowman from the cotton batting and then again from the Designer Series Fabric for the Stocking Cap. I free hand cut out the ball for his stocking cap and his scarf is just a few scrap pieces of fabric that we leftover. I used a few Glimmer Brads in Champagne for his buttons. I used a marker to make his face but would probably switch to stitching it on or using a permanent marker has his face hasn't dried very quickly. Oh, well learn from the mistakes. I hand stitched the hat, scarf and coaster together but used a glue stick and Tombow Multipurpose Glue to attach the cotton batting. This is a pretty simple project but I really like how the snowman turned out.
Now that it is October there are only a few days left to sign up to become a demonstrator and receive the Greenhouse Gala Craft Tote Free. If you or anyone you know might be interested please give me a call. I will be happy to talk to you. I am so glad I made the decision to sign up. I can't image my life without all the friends I have made through Stampin'Up! Have a great weekend, Tonya
